The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Final Test huh? Alright..." Arielle smiled watching the danger room scenario change and now before her stood a large crowd of people. "Save the civilians? Sounds easy enough...well I guess not if you're going to help me," she laughed nervously looking over to Streak. It was the first time she had seen him actually use his powers. She was quite impressed with his phasing ability and she couldn't wait to see what else he could do and she would show him her other techniques as well.
"Don't worry. I may have stalled to use them during the last test but I'm definitely using my powers for this one," she smirked, changing her human body to a liquid one. "Start Simulation!" she called and immediately the people went into frenzy and panic running about the station like a chicken without it's head.
"Humans..." she sighed, already annoyed by their screams and went on to guide them towards the exit that stood behind Streak and herself. "Yeah, yeah. Calm down. Go that way. Wrong way, the exit is over there. You really want to call me a freak and I'm the one trying to help you? I know you are, but what am I? Oh yeah, well Yo mama so stupid she took the Pepsi challenge and chose Jif. No, yo momma! Yo mama so nasty that pours salt water down her pants to keep her crabs fresh! You know what, shut up and get out before you get killed!" Arielle responded to the remarks she had received from the hologram humans as they witnessed her liquid form.
Then to paused for a minute putting a liquid finger to her liquid chin. "Streak, what exactly are we saving them from?" she asked and not even a minute passed before the roof of the train station was torn open and two mechanical red eyes peered down towards them.
"What is that?! I didn't know Gundams were real!" the water elemental exclaimed. "How are we supposed to stop that? We have no mobile suits to pilot!" she shot to Streak.

Streak couldn't help but laugh at Arielle's comments. She had the perfect comebacks for everyone that was there shouting at her. Once he was finished laughing he started to corral people towards the exit. They were doing pretty well. Most of the people were getting out safely when the sentinel decided to attack. "You'll find out in a minute." Streak called back right before the roof was torn off. He walked over to the Arielle's side and said, "That, my friend is a sentinel. We're saving them from that. They also learn how your powers work, but they are much slower and we should be able to get him quickly. "You're in charge of this so tell me what you want me to do. Better decide quick. There's still a lot of people here that we need to get out of here." Things were starting to get out of control fast. "Make a call. Now!" Streak called to her as he continued to usher people out.
He didn't think that she would be able to fight the sentinel but he wanted her to make the call because this test was a test to see how well she gave directions and thought things through under chaotic circumstances. The team couldn't afford for her to freeze up in a fight or something like this if she was with someone who was a newer trainee than her. Streak ignored the calls and comments that were coming out of the simulated humans. Whatever they said to him didn't matter as long as they listened to him and didn't inhibit him doing his job. Until she made a call he couldn't do anything that might seem like the was taking over. However, she had to make the decision soon before it was to late to make the right move.
"A sentinel? Ok..." Arielle repeated back nervously and looked up at the giant robot. Then Streak told her to give a command. Why did she have to. He was the full fledged X-man. She watched as he continued to usher people out of the station and Arielle's nerves were even more stressed out when Streak hurried her into making a decision.
"Just, keep getting the people out. They're safety comes first!" she called to Streak and she joined him to help the humans out. What exactly does that thing do?" Arielle wondered.
"Mutants sighted...." the Sentinel spoke in it's monotonic robot voice and sudden Arielle found a red dot on Streak's back. Much like one coming from a sniper rifle.
"Look out!" she screamed tackling him out the way and two lasers were fired from the sentinel's chest cavity. The panic rose and the humans had finally gathered enough brains cells to figure out where the exit was and ran, all following each other.
"Jesus..." Arielle groaned laying next to Streak and looking back up at the Sentinel. "That thing doesn't seem to be wanting to hurt them, Shawn. It tried to kill us!" she frowned. "I don't understand. If it's trying to kill us, then that means we gotta take it out because firing those lasers and god knows what else could end up killing one of the humans...right?" Arielle asked Streak. "That's what I think. Change of plans. We take that thing out and quickly as possible!" she spoke. "You can shoot blades right? Maybe damage that thing's circuitry or something."

She didn't seem to be handling the pressure very well. Perhaps she didn't understand the purpose of Shawn letting her be in charge. He felt like he should explain a little more. Streak was about to start talking when all of the sudden he heard her shout and then he was tackled. "Omf." As he was on the ground the floor exploded where he was only a few seconds before. "Thanks." He said to Arielle who was next to him on the ground. She immediately started talking to him. Finally she was taking charge. "This exercise is so that just in case you are ever the more senior person you'll be able to make the decisions and it wont be the first time. I can take 'im out fast." Streak said to her once she was done talking.
"Sentinel's are programmed to hunt mutants, but that doesn't mean that it wont harm humans in the process." Streak said as he climbed off the ground. "Good plan Arielle and no I don't shoot blades. But I can take it out if you can't." Streak said. He wasn't implying anything, he remembered what she said and he had a feeling that she wouldn't do much good against the sentinel. This wasn't something that he wanted her to fail, but that's why he was here to help her on this mission. Streak formed a couple knives and got ready to fly at the sentinel once he was sure that was what Arielle wanted him to do. After all, this was her tryout and not his so he needed to wait for her say so.
"Alright, yeah." Arielle nodded to Streak. "Take that thing out. You're powers seem to be better for offense any how. I can use mine for defense and cover you as well as try to cover the civilians if any of them are about to be hurt." she said taking a stand beside Streak.

(ooc: sorry I've been sick and I still am a little)
The plan was simple but it should work. Streak formed two swords and flew up to the sentinel. People were still running towards the exit, but that wasn't Streak's concern right now. The sentinel was focused on Arielle and allowed Streak to fly up to it and start cutting at its head. Once Streak took a few swipes at the sentinels head he took notice of the silver man flying around its head. Turning its attention to Streak, the silver mutant started battling with the giant sentinel. It was bigger but Streak was faster and knew where to hit, since he'd fought against them before in a different simulation.
It didn't take Streak long before he was slicing at the back of sentinels head. Soon the sentinels eyes started to get dim and it was shut down. Shawn didn't need to take its head off but he was happy when he had taken it out of commission. Streak landed down on the ground as Arielle continued to deal with the humans. It wasn't long before they were the simulation had ended. The people froze and started to disappear as did the sentinel. "Well done Arielle. There's some things that could be worked on but you've done very well. I think it's safe to call you an X-Men trainee. With more work you will be a good asset to the X-Men." Streak said to Arielle as as he pulled his silver back. He walked up to the water mutant and made to shake her hand.
"Really? I passed?! I'm a trainee now!" Arielle exploded with glee, hopping up and down. "Shawn, you're so awesome! Thank you so much!!!!" she added tackling him to the ground in a hug. "This is going to be the beginning of a beautiful friendship! I promise, you won't regret it! I'll be the best X-woman I can be! Thank you, thank you, thank you!"
