The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

There seemed to have been an influx of students recently that were interested in joining the X-Men. As such, Streak found himself becoming increasingly busy and spending increasing amounts of time in the Danger Room. He didn't mind it, whenever there was no one else in there it turned into time for him to think about what his mutation was going through. As such his quiet times were turning more into battle times to try to get his powers in control and figure them out.
Streak was looking over his most recent simulation. He still couldn't get the blades to come out whenever he wanted, but they always seemed to appear whenever he became injured even if it was in the slightest way. He was looking for some connection between, his new powers and the injuries. So far he didn't see any connection. There was no specific one that caused it; however, it did seem that any injury did cause it. He then heard the doors to the Danger Room open and he paused the images of his battles on the screens in the observation room and called to whoever was down there. "Up here." Shawn waved from the observation room glass. Shawn then sat in the chair and waited for the person to come up.

Arielle walked down the halls of the first floor on her way towards the danger room. Since her first time in it with Nate, Ghost and Shin, she tried to do a session at least once a day for 30 minutes. It was a more exciting work out than just hitting the gym and not only did it tone her body, but her powers as well and she possessed much more control over them than she did when first arriving at the institute.
Not a minute after she had entered through the doors, she heard a voice call out to her. "Up here." she heard and looked up to see Shawn waving down at her. Arielle nodded and immediately made her way to the observation room and smiled seeing Shawn seated.
"What's up?" she waved to the silver eyed mutant. "I didn't know anyone was in here. I was just about to do a little sparring with the robots..." she grinned as an idea popped into her head remembering her last conversation with Shawn. "But this is perfect now that you're here. I could use a live sparring partner and show you what I've got to start my X-training."

Shawn smiled seeing that it was Arielle. He remembered that she had mentioned joining the X-Men when they first met. "Sup." He said in reply as he waved back. "I've been spending a lot of time in here lately. Trying to figure some things out. So what can I do ya for?" Streak asked smiling. He didn't have to wait long for her response. "We could definitely start your training now. However, first." he held up one finger, "The interview. You've already answered one question for me but I have a few more that need to be answered before you start the abilities portion. And if you've answered these questions already just refresh my memory because I've been a bit busy."
"What do you think the X-Men do? And what do you think we stand for?" He asked her. He was starting out with the basics before he delved into questions about her powers. After all, all he knew was that she could become a puddle, and make herself high pressured like a fire hydrant. Shawn knew that he wouldn't have to wait long to get an answer from her. When they met he thought that she was very talkative but it didn't matter because once they started she needed to be talkative so that he understood what she was expecting to get out of the X-Men.

Arielle kept a wide grin on her face to hide her true feeling of annoyance after having been asked these questions yet again. Though it was understandable that they would want to have people with the right mind set for the team, but GOD DAMN IT she screamed in her head. She coughed into her fist again and then began to speak.
"The X-men protect the world, even those who hate and fear them and try to keep and balance between humans and mutants. They do not discriminate and are willing to help any living soul who needs their assistance. They only use their powers to help human and mutant kind, never for personal gain. At least maybe to have a bit of clean fun, but not to do crime and all that naughty stuff." she answered the first question and began to answer the second.
"The X-men stand for..." she paused a bit stumped on that one. "I dunno exactly what they stand for. I just know that they stand on the side of justice, right? And equality for mutant and human kind and hope for a world where humans and mutants can coexist peacefully. Although if you wanna be real about it, there's always going to be ignorance and intolerance on both sides because you can't change everyone, but they try to keep peace as much as possible." she bit her lip hoping she didn't blow it.

Streak was happy with her answers. Her first answer seemed to be more like it was rehearsed but then again he had the feeling that he'd asked her that question before. He continued to smile when she froze on his last question He normally wouldn't do this if she'd been around longer but he needed to get an idea of how she viewed herself, her powers, and others. There was a little pause as Streak thought up some more questions. He was caught a little off guard but he needed to know these things before they could start the demonstration.
"Ok. Next set. I know a little about your abilities but I want to know everything you can do with your powers. Just strengths, we'll get to weaknesses in a minute. So what can you do? And please feel free to brag." He said smirking at her. The questions about her powers would probably be the most crucial questions that she answered. If she didn't know much about her powers then she would need more training before she could be an X-Men trainee. Although he did doubt that she wouldn't be sure about her powers. Thus he waited for her to enlighten him about her powers.

"My powers eh?" Arielle said thinking of her reply.
"Well, I can go transmute. Basically when I turn into water while keeping my human shape. For offense, I control the water pressure of myself while in a liquid state. Turning my arms into pressurized whips of water, I can hack through a brick wall. Oh, I can use water pressure to propel myself up in the air about 3 yards by blasting myself like a fire hose. I can also blast myself to propel on land and in water.
As for defense, I remember when I was in here with Nate, he dropped me while he was flying and I had to go liquid so I didn't take physical damage when I crashed into the side of that simulated mountain we were racing on. That's one VERY useful thing about my ability. I can avoid taking physical damage. Any physical impact I just usually burst into water to avoid pain, and potential death," she laughed nervously.
"And then of course there's the whole stealth part of my abilities. I can flow anywhere water can flow. Through pipes, under doors, from vents, ect. I can also melt in a body of water to hide myself." she smiled.
"As for weaknesses, freezing temperatures, can't do them. Water freezes at 32 °F/0 °C and so I figure I would too. I don't do electricity either. I stay away from plugs as much as possible. Boiling temperatures are an issue too. I don't wanna get evaporated no more than I wanna get frozen of electrocuted. So yeah, I think that covers everything I think. I know what to avoid and what I can do. I love the Danger Room." she closed her eyes and grinned, throwing up a peace sign to Shawn with her fingers.

Streak listened intently as to what she could do with her powers. It was all very interesting and all very pertinent information to what they were discussing. What Arielle was saying was exactly what Shawn wanted to hear. Her answers got Streak to thinking. It was mainly about what Neena had asked him. Since he hadn't actually done a complete interview and simulation part yet he still wasn't sure what he could ask her. Streak paused for a minute or two thinking. Finally he spoke up. "What happens if you're knocked unconscious and you're in one of your water states? Do you revert back to human or do you stay in that water form?"
These were important questions because he needed to know in case they were ever in battle and something were to happen, him and the rest of the X-Men would need to know if she was unconscious. Instead of waiting for her answer he started to run though his mind some possibilities of the simulations that he would put her through. This job was particularly difficult because each X-Men's trials were different and unique to each ones powers.

"I don't know..." Arielle responded while biting her lower lip, thinking about Shawn's latest question. "I always revert to my water self before I can be knocked out because you can't hurt water with physical force. Still, I know near the end of some sessions I have done in the Danger Room, when I get exhausted, it's harder for me to keep a liquid state and control it. So I figure if I was in liquid mode and I were hit with electricity or something along that line that would render me unconscious, I'd probably turn back to normal. " she said.
"Thats all I can say because I never have been knocked out in liquid mode. I'm going by the fact that since my transformation is harder to access when I'm tired, No way I'd stay in it if I were knocked out."

"That's fine if you don't know. Most don't know. Like myself. I don't know either. I just thought that if you did then it would be useful information. I'm sure we can find out later." Shawn said giving a knowing smile to her. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable for this interview. At least, no more than she might already be. Finally, and after a slight pause, he stood up from his chair and tapped a few of the keys on the main controls. All the screenshots of him fighting disappeared in an instant and were replaced by shots of the Danger Room in its current inactivated state.
"Well. I think we've covered just about everything that we need to cover as far as the interview goes. So now we get to move onto the funner part. The demonstration. This is strictly going to be a one on one set of simulations. You against the computer." He wasn't sure what would be the best trials, although he did need to make sure that she could do everything she said she cold do. "We're going to start with stealth." Streak said as he began to push buttons on the panels. "You can make your way down to the simulation room I'll set up the program and then explain everything to you. It's going to be fun." Finally the simulation was all set up and all he needed to was explain what Arielle needed to do to get through these rounds.

"Stealth huh? Excellent," Arielle grinned rubbing her hands together. She assumed stealth wouldn't be a problem for her seeing as water could flow almost anywhere and undetected. Then again, who knew what kind of simulation Streak would throw at her. Something like flowing through an electrified fence? Not unless he wanted her severly injured or dead, which she doubted. She gave a simple nod to the silver eyed mutant and retreated to the simulation room as instructed, waiting for her commands.

Streak continued to flip the switches and press buttons as Arielle made her way down to the simulation room. The room started to shimmer and was soon turning into her first task. A maze appeared. It wasn't like the one he'd faced. It was much more complicated. Since only a few things seemed to be apparent he decided to explain a few of the obstacles that were in her way. Shawn turned on the god mic and started talking to her.
"Alright Arielle. Here's what I've got for ya. There are some orbs flying around that will detect any major movement. Once they pinpoint it they will shoot down a harmless beam that will register in the room as a detection. Get to many hits and you lose. Those aren't the only obstacles that are in there. There's also some invisible lasers that you'll have to get around. None of this will hurt you but you need to avoid them as much as possible." He continued to inform her of the obstacles as he put them in. "Around every corner there are more traps that you can fall into. Watch out for the janitor. He's coming around mopping up random puddles that are scattered around the short maze." He told her as he smiled at her through the glass. It wasn't a joke he'd actually programmed a janitor into the simulation. "Oh one more thing there's a time limit of 3 minutes and the orbs and the other obstacles become more aggressive the closer to the finish you get."
(Ooc: feel free to put in any obstacles that would be fun for you)

"Alright Arielle. Here's what I've got for ya. There are some orbs flying around that will detect any major movement. Once they pinpoint it they will shoot down a harmless beam that will register in the room as a detection. Get to many hits and you lose."
"Not a problem," Arielle remarked confidently as she stretched her arms a bit. A nice slow flow should get her through the maze just fine.
"Those aren't the only obstacles that are in there. There's also some invisible lasers that you'll have to get around. None of this will hurt you but you need to avoid them as much as possible."
"Kind of hard to avoid them if they're invisible..." she said, narrowing her eyes with an annoyed expression. "But whatever. I guess."
"Around every corner there are more traps that you can fall into. Watch out for the janitor. He's coming around mopping up random puddles that are scattered around the short maze."
"...Seriously? You're killing me Shawn. You're killing me. But, that's not a problem. The janitor chooses to start something he can't finish, fine by me," Arielle smirked, having nothing but total confidence in her abilities. Easy flow, see and Janitor and down he will go. That was her strategy.
"Oh one more thing there's a time limit of 3 minutes and the orbs and the other obstacles become more aggressive the closer to the finish you get."
"Three minutes? That's all?!" she snapped, turning to look at Streak up in the control room. "Alright, fine. I guess that's ok. On missions I might have even less than that. Whenever you're ready, Sexy Silver!" Arielle gave Shawn a thumbs up and the simulation began. The brazilian teen transformed into her element and made sure to flood herself out as thin as possible, that way, her movement would be nearly impossible to detect. She began to flow steadily , inching her way like water leaking from the bottom of a cracked coffee mug.
"So far, so good..." her consciousness spoke as she neared the corner for her first turn. and just like Shawn had warned her, a rather old, sloppy, and decrepit Janitor and his trusted raggedy mop was making his way near her.
"You'd think Shawn would have given me a hunkier looking janitor to deal with. That would have made me more hesitant to take him out..." Arielle sighed pausing in her flow and waited for the Janitor to near her. The man grinned upon finding the large puddle and whistled one of the most god awful tunes to ever be created. The theme song to Blues Clues. She had to get rid of him. not just to move on, but for her sanity as well. Then again, was she allowed to kill the janitors? Shawn hadn't made that clear. If he was just supposed to represent an innocent janitor, then she couldn't. Killing innocent civilians were a no no. Or what if he was a shape shifting enemy mutant bent on turning the city into hell on earth? Then she'd have to use force and take him out and be praised as a hero. But what if she was wrong? Ugh, this is where her powers sucked. They were good for either really good stealth or really good offense. But she couldn't use both at once. It was either knock him out and get detected by the orbs, or just sit there and be mopped up, and shattering her chances of ever being one of the X-men. Luckily some of her managed to flood around and behind the Janitor. Perfect.
"Eh. What are you gonna do?" Arielle sighed and in the blink of an eye, a small pressurized stream of water shot from her puddle self and struck the back of the janitor's head with blunt force and returned to the puddle. The poor janitor didn't know what hit him and fell over onto the floor as Arielle quickly flowed out of the now unconscious janitor's way. The unfortunately didn't go without detection and a beam was fired from one of the orbs.
"Lovely." Arielle's consciousness sighed. How was she able to get through this completely undetected? Her only means of stealth were stumped by the stupid janitors lurking about the maze. "I don't know if I can do this anymore. Maybe I'm not cut out to be an X-woman...." she sighed, and as she sat there the time ticked down. How was she going to be able to pull this off? Screw it. All she could do was do her best and if it wasn't enough, then maybe she was at the wrong place and she'd just leave the mansion.
She couldn't waste anymore time. She just opted to continue her flow though, and used the same technique on every janitor to appear. He raised the mop, to the floor he would drop, and so did the lasers from the orbs. And forget about the invisible lasers. How the hell could anyone a void something invisible. "This whole trial was F***ed up..." she grumbled finally making it to the end with 20 seconds remaining, she returned to her solid form and sulked to here the news about how she had failed after getting about 6 orb lasers and lord knows how many invisible ones..
"It's official. I'm more of a brawler than a stealth agent. But what does it matter? I failed."

After Shawn had set up the next simulation and put on the wrist bands that Neena had used during his tryouts, he walked down to the simulation area of the Danger Room. Once he was down there he walked up to Arielle and started to address her problems. "First of all, you did well. Your stealth is actually very good. The chances of someone's office actually having orbs floating around is slim to none. You dealt with the janitors very nicely and humanly. From what I heard I would have done the same thing. There was no way you could know if they were normal janitors or someone else bent on catching an X-Men in the act."
People didn't always perform at their highest peak in these trials but then again that's what these trials and simulations were for. She didn't fail but with practice Shawn knew that she could do better. "You didn't fail. You got hit but probably no more than anyone else with that. Oh and I took away the floor lasers once I saw how hard that was." It was time to change to subject and hopefully bring up her spirits. "Alright. Time for the next part. Let's see how well you brawl. Not against me though. You're going against him." Streak indicated the robot that appeared out of the ground and stood ready for a fight. "This robot will learn from your attacks. Which means you've got to keep changing things up. Just like if you were fighting an enemy. It's unpredictable and strong. After so many hits it will stop moving and you will win. Have fun." Streak said winking at her. He then began walking to a corner of the Danger Room. This should be a much more interesting fight. She'd mentioned more than once that she was a brawler and brawling was good to a point. However, he thought that everyone should know how to use weapons so that they don't become a cripple in a fight. Once everyone was set up Streak said, "Start." and the robot started moving around getting ready for the fight.

"Alright, This I know I can do..." she nodded to Streak and cracker her knuckles. "By the wa-GAH!" Arielle cried spotting the robot coming in for a hit. Luckily, her reflexes her pretty much on peak after having practiced Capoeira. The water elemental tumbled rolled out of the robot's range and now stood on her hands with them spread shoulder-width apart and the legs together over her head. Before she knew it the robot was making another dash towards her which was perfect for her, Her legs split open and Arielle rotated to the side giving her opponent a swift kick to the head.
The robot stumbled and Arielle returned to stand on her feet and taking a defensive position, waiting for the robot to recover. No need for her to go on the attack, she was having too much fun. Besides, the X-men were all about defense more than offense.
"C'mon, I don't have all day," Arielle yelled to the bot and laughed a bit. She knew that no one could recover from a kick to the head that quickly. Well anyone human. As soon as the phrase escaped her lips, she saw the robot dashing towards her. She attempted to avoid collision by rolling out the way. Too bad Streak had been correct. The robot anticipated her reaction and rolled along in front of her and extended it's legs to deliver a painful kick to her gut, sending her flying back a good 5 ft.
"Owe..." Arielle groaned holding her stomach and cradled in a fetal position. The robot sprinted over to her and delivered another kick , though she blocked with her arm, then another kick came from the robot's other leg and it connected to Arielle's head. Next thing she knew, found herself curled up in a balls taking kick after kick from the robot and in her mind she knew that it was not looking good or was impressive to Streak. With that said, she would give him something to be impressed by. She thought about taking on the bot in just hand in hand combat but obviously her fighting skills have rusted a bit and this robot's fighting skill were programed at a higher level than hers. Not it was time to unleash the force that dwelled with in her.
The robot continued to kick and even began stomping down the brazilian girl. It wasn't long before the person he was kicking was replaced by a giant blob of water. A blob of water that shot up around the robot and encasing it within.
"Finish him!" Arielle's consciousness screamed out and the pressure of the water globe began to rise rapidly. The robot scrambled and thrashed within but soon it's movement ceased as the pressure grew and within a minute the robot's functions were completely obsolete as was it's humanoid appearance. All that was left was a crunched up scrap of metal which was released by the sphere of water that returned to Arielle's human figure.
"Fatality. Next test Streaky poo!" Arielle laughed waving up at the silver eyed mutant. It was then she questioned the pet name she had just given Shawn. Probably not the most flattering combination of words. "Err...meh, it's disgusting but it's still cute." she shrugged.

Shawn watched intrigued by the style of martial arts that Arielle was doing. He'd never seen one quite like it. It looked more like a dance than a fight for a little while. There were many that he he'd never seen in practice before and this was a much different one. Streak looked at her quizzically when she stood on her hands. Hopefully that'll work. He thought as the robot charged. Luckily it did and he saw that she delivered a well placed kick to its head. That wont work again though. He thought as he watched more. Pretty soon it looked like it was taking a turn for the worse. Arielle was on the ground and the robot wasn't relenting at all.
The silver eyed mutant grimaced as he watched Arielle getting pummeled by kicks all over her body. Come on. Get up Arielle. Get up. He chanted over and over in his head. It was all he could do not to jump in and bash the robot to pieces for beating up a girl. Although these things happen during battle and he could very well be off fighting someone else while she was fighting someone. And if that were the case then she needed to be able to hold her own. No matter how many excuses he came up with it was still hard for him to not rush in and save her. After watching this he started thinking about what she'd told him about her powers. Why doesn't she turn into water? It was like telepathy was sent to her as just when he thought of that she'd done it. The next thing he saw was the robot stepping on a puddle. Now we've got a show! He thought as he started smiling. Streak had a good feeling that he knew what was going to happen. However, she surprised him by crushing the robot. The fight was over and she'd survived. Unfortunately she'd taken quite a few hits along the way. Though she wasn't supposed to come out of this without a scrap he was glad that she'd managed to win so quickly.
The crumpled up robot disappeared into the floor as he walked out of the corner that he was standing in and up to Arielle. He couldn't help but roll his eyes at the little nickname. Raina called him that sometimes also and it was still something he rolled his eyes at. Just because she said it didn't make it any less weird. Shawn clapped his hands a few times before finally saying, "Well done Arielle. You had me worried there for a bit but you pulled through. You didn't think the robot would adapt that quickly or what?" He queried. After all Shawn had warned her about it he just didn't say how fast it was going to adapt. Some things needed to be a surprise. He walked back up to the control room and started flipping more switches. He was saving the recordings for her to review and anyone else that was in the X-Men that doubted her abilities. He also needed to save it for his own records later on. After everything was saved he started to move onto creating another simulation. "This is you final test." He said over the god mic to her. He started the simulation but paused it immediately after that just so she could get the view of the place. The Danger Room had turned into a giant crowd of people inside Grand Central Station. The trains could be heard running in the background as Shawn continued to explain what would be going on. Most looked panicked and ready to run. "You need to get these people out as quickly and safely as you can. Just getting them behind you and they'll disappear. Other things will be going on also that you need to keep in mind. This is something that happens a lot. I'll be helping you with this one and there'll be a few surprises along the way that will make things a little more interesting." He finished explaining the simulation and took off the wrist bands that he'd put on earlier. Pulling the silver over his body he walked through the wall and landed on the Danger Room floor. "You need to diffuse the situation as fast as possible and keep as few humans from getting harmed as possible. It should be fun. Don't forget to use you're powers. When you're ready we'll start."
(Ooc: go ahead and start. I was thinking chaos at first. just focus on getting people out for now and we'll add more later.)
