As Kara linked one arm to Sam's they both started to walk along the long pathway to the Mansion doors. Looking side to side Kara noticed student's running around the front fields and beautiful gardens circling the area. Stepping on the first steps on the entrance stairs Kara unlinked arms with Sam and faced him.

"So this is home hmm?"

The word home sounded weird to Kara since her last actual home dealt with her house keeper being more of a mother then her actual mother. Kara tried remembering the last family meal her and her family actually had... Could she even remember? Has it been that long...
Looking to the door and back to Sam, Kara began to get nervous. 'What if they don't like me... what if they think I''m some spoiled brat.. Ugh I shouldn't even be here this is not a place for me'

Kara began to breath heavily, hitting a lot of nerves Karaclosed her eyes and began to loose some control
Having the ground shake as her hands moved Kara quickly realized what she had been doing and opened her eyes giving off a half smile towards Sam.

"hah... my bad"

As Kara linked to Sam’s arm he decided not to fight it, ‘just a simple arm lock’ thought Sam as he walked her up the path and noticed the kids running and playing. When Kara unlinked Sam’s arm he didn’t fight it but raised his hand’s waving to the kids, “Don’t mess up the courtyard to much!” yelled Sam to the kids. Laughter could be heard in the distance as a few of the kids waved back to Sam.

"So this is home hmm?"

Looking back to Kara Sam nodded and said, “Yep this is were I live.” Holding up his hands Sam then said, “Welcome to Mutant Manor!” said Sam jokingly. Out of all the names for the mansion it was his favorite, after all that’s what he called it the first day he arrived at the mansion.

Out of nowhere Kara began to shake and in turn the ground began to shake. ‘What is she doing?’ Sam wondered as the kids in the courtyard started to scream. “Kara?” Sam yelled as the ground shook.

"hah... my bad"

As soon as it started it had stopped. Walking over to Kara and putting his hands on her shoulders Sam asked, “You Okay?” hoping that the shaking was nothing more than a once in a long while nervous habit. A look of general concern was on Sam’s face as he looked to Kara’s face.

“Yep this is were I live.” “Welcome to Mutant Manor!”

Kara gave a half smile and looked around at the chilren laughing.

“You Okay?”

Kara looked around seeing all the kids frightened. "Uh yeah I'm fine just nervous" she laughed. "It's no biggy" Kara put her hand over Sam's when he placed it on her shoulder. she smirked then bit her lip smiling now at Sam.

Looking over to the kids and seeing them okay Sam didn’t bother going to check on them, those kids were tough. After all they did have one of the best Self Defense teachers in the world. ’Way to be modest’ thought Sam silently to himself.

"Uh yeah I'm fine just nervous"

Letting out a reassuring smile Sam said, “Don’t need to be nervous, everyone here is super friendly!” then laughing slightly, “even if you set off a rector scale every time you get nervous. Everyone is super understanding.”

‘Biting the lip again…Damn it’ thought Sam as he smiled and took his hands off of her shoulder and pretending he didn’t notice the lip biting or the hand on his hand. “Why don’t I start with a tour?” Sam asked curiously, “After all this blows any hotel out of the water.” Added Sam as he opened the mansion doors and walked inside.

The first things that became self-evident were the cookies. An entire tray of them dangled in the front hall in front of Sam and his guest. No, wait. Not dangled. They sat on a pedestal and a tray, with a glass of milk like some gift set out for Santa. A faint whistling came down the flight of stairs near the entrance, as Shin in a Santa hat bopped down to scoop up the tray. As he got it, he looked up and caught sight of Sam and his guest.

“Oh, hello there.” Shin smiled. “You caught me while I was baking.” Why the tray had been set out in the main hall, and why there was a glass of milk at its side, would forever live as a mystery of lost logic.

“Don’t need to be nervous, everyone here is super friendly!” “even if you set off a rector scale every time you get nervous. Everyone is super understanding.”

Kara nodded and let off a half smile. 'super understanding i bet...'

“Why don’t I start with a tour?” “After all this blows any hotel out of the water.”

Kara laughed and opened the front door. "A tour sounds wonderful" Kara walked through the front door peeking inside. The mansion was beautiful. Kara noticed the panting on the wall and the foyer was huge felt as if she was back at home.
"This place is beautiful Sam" Walking in a bit the fresh smell of cookies cam hurling toward's Kara's nose. 'mmmm' she thought of the smell. ' smells just like Maya my old house keepers cookies'

Glancing over to the stairs where Kara heard a light whistle she notice a oriental boy walking down the stairs and the smell of commies trailing off of him.
“Oh, hello there.”“You caught me while I was baking.”

Kara looked at the boy with a smile on her face "Hey there cookie" she giggled a bit letting off a wink.

Nathan was going back from his workout in the Danger Room. He had been pushing his abilities ever since the misunderstanding about the golden doors had been brought to the gates at the Mansion. His defeat weighed heavily on him as it always did. He needed to push himself so he could get stronger. Hence the training sessions.

His path led him by the front door of the Mansion. He had been hoping to see if anyone needed help with anything since he had the rest of the day off. As he walked by the entrance he saw a what appeared to be a new student. And a new female student at that.

Nathan walked up to the girl and offered his hand to her. "Hello, I'm Nathan. Are you new?"

Once inside the aroma of freshly baked cookies filled the air. Not only making his mouth water but his stomach growl, ‘how long has it been since I had something to eat?’ Sam wondered as he notice Shin bouncing towards them with a tray of cookies and a glass of milk.

“Oh, hello there.” “You caught me while I was baking.”

Laughing a little Sam waved to Shin, “You dance and cook? Arielle must be all over you.” A small flash back of the New Year’s dance played in Sam’s head. The flashback consisted of Shin and Arielle walking out of the club… “Haven’t seen you since New Year’s, where did you two go?” Sam asked Shin curiously.

"Hey there cookie"

Sam looked back to Kara who winked to Shin and giggled, ‘flirt, guess I should have called that’ thought Sam as he lifted up his hand to Shin, “Shin this is Kara, Kara this is Shin.”

"Hello, I'm Nathan. Are you new?"

Letting out a small laugh Sam waved to Nathan, “Glad to see your keeping busy, Nathan how’s the training?” Sam asked curiously to his flame mancing best buddy.

Looking back to Kara, Sam smiled and said, “Aren’t you miss popularity?”

“Shin this is Kara, Kara this is Shin.”

Kara turned to face Shin eying on the cookies she stepped in closer tilting her head. "Nice to meet you" she said with a little smirk on her face. At the corner of her eye she noticed another boy come in. As he stepped closer she felt the heat coming off of him. 'wow... someone's looking hot today' she thought to herself as she turned to the boy.

"Hello, I'm Nathan. Are you new?"

Kara's cheeks turned red as he spoke, she hadn't felt this shy since her first kiss with Bobby Rayne behind the portable in 5th grade... ' oh Bobby Rayne what a sucker he was' Kara thought to herself as she woke up out of her day dream. "Hi..." she paused for a second or two "Uh the names Kara,and i'm pretty sure since we've never met i'd be new" crossing her arms Kara stood in front of Nathan trying to play off the 'I'm better than you' act.

“Aren’t you miss popularity?”

Kara turned over to Sam and smirked 'lucky me...' she thought to herself as she put on a fake smile

Shin looked around as everyone started talking and introducing themselves to each other. The room had suddenly become a madhouse. He tilted his head, and the pompom on his Santa hat flopped to the other side of his head. “Hmm?” Had she just called him cookie? Weird. As all the guys gave her their undivided attention, he watched her close, curious. Something seemed a little off… snap response from a fairly innocent question, a smirk… was that smile even real?

He shrugged inwardly and disregarded his trail of thought. Might as well give her the benefit of the doubt. So what if she wasn’t sincere?

“Want a cookie?” He beamed, holding up the tray.

The mansion doors opened and a gust of chilly wind blew, behind the girl making her entrance. Letting out a soft grunt, Arielle tossed her hair as if she was in a shampoo commercial to remove whatever snowflakes had fallen in her luscious strands. Fixing her hair a bit more, Arielle walked more into the mansion, her heels clicking on the floor as she walk. She stopped and paused upon seeing a group of four congregated in the hallway.

"My boys!" Arielle grinned walking up to hug Sam, Nathan and then Shin, as well as giving each of them a friendly kiss on the cheek. It was a social gesture she always did back at home in Brazil when she would meet with good friends and family.

"Aha! You read my mind, boy! I was craving something sweet," she giggled taking a cookie off of Shin's tray and raised an eye brow at his hat. "Um, I know the holidays are supposed to be the most wonderful time of the year Shin dear, but it's the middle of January." she shook her head. And then turned her attention to the new face.

'And who is this?" she asked pointing to the new girl standing next to Sam. The bruntette girl looked around their age, maybe slightly younger. "Wish I got this kind of welcome when I came here, the name is Arielle..." the brazilian smiled extending a hand for Kara to shake while leaning in to the girl's ear.

"I know, it's hot man-candy over load, but you get used to it. As you can see there's a whole buffet of beefcake. We even have asian," she whispered into Kara's ear and laughed a bit.

"Hi..." she paused for a second or two "Uh the names Kara,and i'm pretty sure since we've never met i'd be new" crossing her arms Kara stood in front of Nathan trying to play off the 'I'm better than you' act.

Oh, really? Who does this girl think she is? She probably just got off her mom's apron strings. She isn't even old enough to be let out of the house. And trying to pull off the overconfident look.

Nathan didn't miss the blush on her cheeks though. He would have been blind not too. "I guess you got me there," he laughed. She smiled but it didn't reach her eyes. Nathan couldn't imagine why though. She seemed like a nice enough girl to him.

Turing to Sam, "It's going good. I've managed to push my endurance a little bit. I'm hoping to get better control over my fire though. Right now, there's just too much strength to it. I need to work on making it less of a open flame and more of just heat. A little finesse wouldn't hurt either." He laughed.

Arielle came in then and Nathan returned the hug she offerred him. Turning back to Kara, Nathan asked "So, where are you from?"

((This is just a in and out thing, I'll only be posting here two or three times))

Leila was in the Living Room reading. She hadn't been able to concentrate much due to all the noise kids were doing outside. Sometimes, her enhanced hearing; which had now grown a lot since the Holidays, wasn't really in her favor. She tried to ignore all the shouting from the other side of the Mansion wall, but it was just impossible. A loud buzzing was constantly bothering her, and at one point she couldn't even think straight. That was until she heard Sam coming.

“You Okay?”

She smiled, closing her book and walking over towards the doorway of the Living room to watch as he entered with a lady. 'Oh, come on! Not again.' she thought, but unlike with Arielle, she didn't bother making a big fuss over it, she knew Sam wouldn't cheat on her. This was probably just an other Mutant that wanted to live here.

She listened as first Shin, then Nathan came in, smiling at the friendly greeting. So this girl's name was Kara. Cool. When Arielle came along too, Leila fallowed with a slight grin upon her face. "What's all the comotion about?" she asked friendlily. She knew it hadn't been that loud, not considering all the noise she could hear from outside on the grounds. This was one of those days where she wished her Abilities hadn't started growing stronger.

"I'm Leila by the way." she added, holding out her hand to the brunette. "Dolphin Shifter." she added, though that wasn't all true. Lately, some lumps had started growing, and quite oddly, they were placed where arms and legs would be on Humans. She was hoping she'd have the form of a Human Dolphin someday, that would be fun. She looked at the others, wondering if she'd ever mentioned her abilities to them.

“Want a cookie?”
Kara smiled and grabbed a cookie, smiling even more as she bit off a piece. "Thank You"

Kara smiled as everyone gathered around her, getting even more attention. A girl a bit older then her entered the room with beautiful long hair falling from her head. She was very pretty and looked nice. As she walked closer to wards the boys she seemed very respected and nice.

"And who is this?"

"Hey I'm Kara" she smiled looking at how perfect this other girl was.

"Wish I got this kind of welcome when I came here, the name is Arielle..."

Kara smiled liking the attention she was getting from everyone. "Nice to meet you my names Kara"

"I know, it's hot man-candy over load, but you get used to it. As you can see there's a whole buffet of beefcake. We even have asian," she whispered into Kara's ear and laughed a bit.

Listening to what Arielle had said Kara laughed a bit too. 'this girl seems pretty cool' Kara thought to herself as she smiled and stepped back from Arielle

"I guess you got me there,"
Kara laughed looking at Seraph then smiling back at him.
"So, where are you from?"
Kara looked at the others then smirked a fake smile back at Seraph. 'ugh i hate answering questions' she thought to herself as she put on yet another fake smile. "Um, I was born and raised in Toronto,Canada"

After telling Seraph and the others where she was from Kara noticed another girl walk in the room, more laid back looking but still pretty she entered the room acting very dominant. "I'm Leila by the way." "Dolphin Shifter."
Kara smiled and shook Leila's hand "The names Kara, I have a magma & earth manipulation kind of thing..." she smiled then faced the others.

Noticing the sudden influx in people and the sudden personality change with Kara Sam pretended not to notices it, after all there were a lot of people crowing around her asking the same questions he had asked her less than an hour ago.

Trying to hold back a small grin at Arielle’s usual choice in words about Nathan Shin and himself Sam thought, ‘Just what we need another Arielle around her…’ Sam had been familiar with Arielle’s type before and usually things didn’t end to well for them and Sam. Those types of girls were to high spirited to be trapped down with a single guy, but that never did stop him from trying in the past.

Sam smiled when he noticed Leila come into the room. His face lit up as it always did whenever he had seen her. Leaving Kara’s side Sam walked over to Leila and kissed her on the cheek and picked her up with a big bear hug. After setting her down he smiled at her and then turned back to the group. This act of affection was letting Leila know that she had nothing to worry about with Kara.

After their special night and what happened with the interview with Arielle Sam did his best to make things clear for Leila, she was after all his girlfriend.

Looking back to Kara Sam said, “I was just about to give her a tour of the mansion, and maybe get her into a room.” Then laughing he said, “Though I think we need a fire proof one, I saw what she could do and I have to say she might I have you a run for your money Nathan.” Sam said teasingly to Kara and then grinned to Nathan letting him know he was kidding.
