The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Not at all." Aiden replied continuing to play. "How long have you been with the organization?"
Circe stopped the snow and the remaining water flew back to her hand. A small ice crystal formed in her hand and rotated, reflecting the light. She was unsure what to answer. Actually, she wasn't even aware of the date. She could have very well been in a coma for 10 years and she wouldn't know.
"I know this might sound strange but... what date is it today?"

Aiden watched her as she reformed the once water into a small crystal of ice. Th shifter was kind of surprised by the question she asked. It didn't make any sense to him but he was completely polite and answered her without a hint of malice.
"It's the 14th of January, 2009. Why, is something wrong?"
"It's the 14th of January, 2009. Why, is something wrong?" Her mission was on 21 May 2008. Almost 8 months. Damn... she must have had one hell of a beauty sleep.
"Oh, nothing's wrong. And to answer your question... I've been with the Kabal for almost nine months. From which I've been active only three weeks." she replied laughing easily. Right now, she thought it was funny to lose 8 months of your life hmmm...sleeping. She'd lost much... her dad and mom's birthday... not that she cared... her own birthday... didn't care either... Christmas, New Year...
Those she missed. She liked gifts. Not that she knew anyone that would have gave her a gift but at the ammount of money she had right now in her bank account she afforded to buy whatever her heart could desire. She mentally promissed herself to go get a Christmas gift for herself. Even if she was a bit late.

Her answer seemed to further confuse Aiden. Somehow, he got the feeling that she wasn't current with the events of the world. He supposed it was the way she just realized the date and the lenght of her time spent with the Kabal.
"You know that the Registration Act has been removed, don't you?" It the biggest thing he could think of to talk about that concerned the both of them since they were both mutants. That had been one of the more important events of his life so he felt he should mention it.
Aiden looked a bit confused about her answer. How else could he have been? And then, came the most interesting question ever. "You know that the Registration Act has been removed, don't you?"
Circe blinked twice. The concentration on her powers was suddenly lost. The ice crystal suddenly turned into water and fell on her hand and bare legs.
"WHAT?" she asked surprised ignoring the water that was now dripping on the floor. Well, that was the most interesting thing she had lost. Her mind suddenly drifted to her family. What would they think now?

Seeing Alexandra's reaction, Aiden stopped playing the piano so that it he could give Alexandra his full attention. He didn't want to be rude after all. The sound of her raised voice sounded especially loud to his hearing. Aiden also chose to ignore the now wet floor at ther feet.
Sensing that something wasn't adding up, Aiden asked again "Is everything alright?"
Alexandra fought to gain her composure back. It was shocking news for a person who had lost everything because of the Registration Act. With a sigh she waved her hand. The water on the floor began to form a small blob. Few seconds after, the water turned into vapors.
Circe left her hand to rest on her knees as her eyes focused on Aiden. "Yeah, all's just fine. These are shocking news for me. How did this happen?"

The shifter watched Alexandra cleaned up the water she had spilled by turning it into vapor with a wave of her hand. After that her eyes focused on him. Aiden's stared right back into hers.
"Well, there was a camp breakout staged by the Resistance and about three weeks after that happenned the government decided that the Registration Act wasn't working."
Alexandra listened carefully Aiden's explanation. "Oh." was about everything she could say right now. She knew that Aiden was feeling confused about her questions and she felt she should clear up this situation.
"I've been in a coma for several months. That's why I didn't know these things. I just woke up this morning." she confessed.

Aiden was certainly taken aback by what Alexandra had said. To have 8 months of your life just disappear right infront of you. It certainly made him value his own life and his level of activeness throughout it.
"Oh, well that makes sense I guess. Wow." Aiden replied. Alexandra tried to shake off this strange feeling she had. She really needed to get in touch with her friends from back home. If mutants were released then they should be all right now. She was worried all this time about what happened to them. After all, they were her only support back there, when her family was ashamed that they had a mutant daughter. They talked about it like it was some kind of plague, a disease.
No, mutants were the next step to evolution, she was convinced. Evolution patiently waited for thousands of years. And now... now, mutants had to fight to occupy their rightful place in the world. Peaceful coexistence didn't stand a chance. If the humans had been capable of approving the Registration Act, they will never change their opinion about mutants. Yeah, she had been called many things. Abomination, error...
No... she had to stop thinking at this right now. Her eyes focused back on Aiden. She clearly needed to catch up with the things that happened during her absence."Anything else happened?"

Aiden waited as Alexandra tried to make sense of things in her head. It did not take long as she asked another question. The shifter racked his brain for something as worthy of note as the Registration Act but everything he could think of only effected him personally.
"Well gas prices have fallen considerably but other than that, nothing worthy of note."
"Well gas prices have fallen considerably but other than that, nothing worthy of note."
Alexandra burst out into laugh as she heard Aiden's reply. "Those are a really important news." she said and woke up from the couch she was sitting on. She decided that now it was time for her to leave. She needed some time to think to contact her friends from back home. She needed to know if they had been released or not, if they were alright or not. She hoped Slate didn't mind international calls. She walked to Aiden and extended her hand.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, Aiden, and a pleasure to have listened your music. But now I have to take my leave. I guess we'll run into each other some other time." she said with a small smile.

Alexandra decided to take her leave. Aiden could certainly empathize with her. She had a lot of information to digest in a short amount of time. The feline mutant clasped her hand.
"It's been a pleasure as well. I'm glad you liked the music. Alright then. I hope I see you before another eight months passes." And with that Aiden went back to the piano and started playing again.
Aiden took Alexandra's hand in his own and clasped it for a few moments. "It's been a pleasure as well. I'm glad you liked the music. Alright then. I hope I see you before another eight months passes."
Circe smiled at his remark and nodded slightly. As she took her leave, the piano music started to play again. She needed to clear her mind. She hated to get back to the infirmary room but unfortunately, that was her only residence until further notice. With a sigh, she continued her way to the bed where she laid for almost eight months.
