The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

EVOX felt like he had been running for longer then he could remember. He hadn't just been running. He'd done things, great wonderful terrible things, that no one but him would be proud to list as accomplishments. He'd hurt people, ruined many lives, and ended many more. He felt that he could have continued doing this, indefinitely, but the men in blue felt differently. So they hunted him. They made his life, unrewarding, and they eventually became bothersome. At some point he decided that this was not the life he wanted for himself. He needed a safety net, or rather bug netting to protect him from these gnats. But where would he go? No place would accept him for what he was, no person would share his value's, his feelings...well, this may not have been entirely true. There was a place once, he had never been there, but he had heard about it. He heard about golden doors, that lead to a salvation. To a place where raw power, and a hint of hatred where honored, not hampered. He found himself in front of those doors today. *Knock, knock, knock* Big yellow fists eagerly slammed against golden arches, and he waited.
Preface: After Aura has newly joined the order --------------------------------------
Aura, heard loud knocking at the front door, curious as to what was pounding on the door. The girl brushed a few hairs away from her eyes, and put down her book. Aura opened the door before her was a giant of a man, that made the fifteen year old feel very very small. She was the opposite, a tones but small frame and over three feet shorter. Still She simply looked up to better see the man's face, taking a step back into the entrance to get a better look at this man. The Yellow skin marked him as a mutant, through all this aura's facial expression barely changed. She ran a hand through her long brown hair, and smiled politely.
"Welcome, my friend, come in, please" She said backing up a bit to better acomidate for Evox's large frame. "My name is Rena, can i ask yours please? Feel free to sit anywhere you like" She said as she made her way into the building. "Please close the door behind you" She called back, with a smile of her pink lips. Aura picked up a few papers, from the table, and looked through them quickly. Aura was unsure what he wanted so far, but someone that big could have easily removed the door if he chose, so it was obviously something other then attacking them. The papers were mostly, a list of rooms, in the sanctuary to help her know which ones her filled, in case he requested to stay.
EVOX watched the old doors swing open, and stared down at the young girl revealed to him. She stepped back to allow him in and asked him his name. He hadn't spoken yet, and he was already engaged in the most civil conversation he'd been involved in for years. Frankly, he was at first slightly puzzled by the situation. He hadn't really know what to expect when he arrived here, but it was certainly not this. It had been a long time since he had pretended he liked or cared about anyone's well being but his own, and he hoped the rust growing on his civility would not be apparent to her. With only a few moments of awkward pause for him to get over himself, he responded, "I call myself EVOX." his voice boomed loud and intimidating, the final word echoing through the foyer. He winced knowing that he had not used what anyone would call an "inside" voice. He closed the door behind him s gently as he could. "I'm...um...sorry." He said softer now.
"It is good to meet you Evox, Have you come to seek refuge from the humans?" SHe asked casually. She had no idea what his past was, but if talking to other mutants was an indication, most pain came from humans. The man had a loud booming voice to match his imposing body, but Aura barely seemed to notice, nodding in thanks as he closed the door behind him. No much really surprised her anymore, a mixed result, from two years of fighting with humans and her normally semi-cold nature. She was curious how the X-men would deal with such a being. She assumed he had super strength but wondered if their was more to it.
"Welcome to Sanctuary, Can i assist you in some way? Do you wish to stay with us?" She asked, as she took a seat in one of the various chairs located in the Foyer. She would keep things low key, if it seemed she needed t go further then she would contact her leaders. She blew the same hair strand from her eyes away, with a slightly annoyed sigh at the hair. "Their are some forms you will need to fill out if staying is your intention" She went on with a polite smile. She was enjoying this assignment, it was nice to meet new mutants.
EXOV paused briefly, taking a deep breath to compose himself. He didn't realize it would be this hard for him to make normal conversation. He felt compelled to reply quickly, perhaps hastily, he was not certain what rules this world had, and did not know if he would be able to get himself in trouble with uncertain conversation. "I do seek shelter from human interference and human control, but I do not know if I wish to stay here. Earnestly, I'm not really sure what this place is. I wasn't even sure it would be here, until I saw the doors myself. I've only really heard about this place from other mutants, and in my experience other mutants lie and deceive as readily as any human." He hoped he had not yet over stepped his bounds.
She noticed his discomfort in speaking, but it was a bit hard not to. That was fine it happened, she listened to his words. His reply made sense, and was an all to Familiar to her or so she thought. If she was looking at this mutant right, he was distrustful of people in general That was fine, the sanctuary housed mutants who stayed all lengths of time and kept all lengths of hours
"Sanctuary, is a shelter for Mutants who have nowhere else to go, you can stay with us as long or as little as you wish. Outside this house, i am wanted for the acadental killing of a human in a misunderstanding. My powers emerged and i cut a spine in two, they shelter me. Try a night or to here, or stay until you can find a better arrangement, if you wish to stay you'l have to sign a few papers, Name, age, Mutation that kind of thing. If you have any other questions, i will answer them" She offered as she continued to talk to him, in a friendly manner, and a very truthful one. "No Mutant should ever have to hide who they are" She went on, she kept her gaze on him. She figured he would notice, but body size wise, they were in entirely different realms and she was pretty sure if he had super strength it would break her shielding.
EVOX felt many different emotions rise from him. he felt anger, disgust, pity, compassion, and needy all at the same time. It was strange for him to even know that such a complex range of emotions could exist in him, let alone all at the same time. He took another deep breath to calm himself, and reflect on his options. He wasn't fond of forms and papers. It as all just tracking to him, and he hated tracking. No one looking for him was ever worth meeting. "I don't want you to get the wrong impression from me, but I am going to be frank. I have made enemies of man, and mutant. Strong enemies at that. I did not seek this place to protect my life. On a good day, my foe would be more likely to lose his, then me lose mine. I'm here, because The people that chase me and are worth fighting are dead, and those that remain, who are not worth the effort to fight, I am tired of running from." He began to breathe easier, he felt more comfortable in his own skin, felt more like himself. His speech became more steady, and started to sound more deliberate. "Would I have to hide that to stay here, because for as long as I care to remember, that is who I have been, and is undoubtedly who I am." He said the last few words with a hint of devilish pride, and stared back at the girl with eyes that were hard like boiled eggs.
She was unsure if his being unused to speaking or she was not getting through to him, it may have been a mixture of both. Despite her thoughts she simply looked back with her emerald eyes, the simple answer to all his questions was prolbely the best. He had made his enemies, they all had but she could understand being tired of running. He seemed to like to fight, or at least thats who he seemed to say he was, and that she understood very well.
"Hide only what you wish" She said with a shrug before continuing on. "From the sounds of it though, you like to fight, something i enjoy as well. In any case, if you need a room, you can have one here, your past will mean little to anyone here" She said honestly, she was wanted for murder of several accounts herself, and horribly wounding several others. "We all are who we are, and theirs no reason to hide that. I'm sure youl do just fine here" She said kind of curious on what some of the others like Isabel or this Syn woman she had heard about on several ocastions, they seemed to like people like this and for good reason. She turned her back for a moment taking a few steps away before looking back at the man. "Really the choice is yours though" She said simply.
EVOX, for the first time in a while, felt comforted by a girl's' words and demeanor. I felt good for him to know that he had truly found a place for mutants like him. The girl had fully reassured him that this was the kind of place he wanted to be. He began to speak easily and comfortably. . " In that case I think I'd like to see those papers." He said extending his arm towards her just slightly. Not a ("nice to meet you, lets shake hands") gesture, but one that communicated, ("If you put the item I'm requesting in this hand, I will grasp it firmly, and take it from you.")
"These are a list of taken rooms, Lisa in the Foyer will have the actual papers you would need to sign, which you can do at your convenience" Still she handed over the room list, and waved her arm to the set of doors on the other side of the room, to indicate where lisa would be (An npc, so you can say you signed them), which indicated taken and not taken rooms. She decided she Liked Evox, the man's yellow skin kept escaping her. as she focussed more on his massive frame. "Also theirs a fully staffed cafeteria that will make you whatever you want, rooms for recreation and much more. If you like i can show you around or you can explore on your own, the staff is quite helpful" She said honestly. They had been very helpful to her in the short time she had been here. She did wonder if she over played her part, at greeting EVOX as she had only started doing this to try and help where she could, and because the police were looking for her to discuss four beheading's, they had been crack addicts but these things attracted attention.
EVOX glanced at the list, and saw no shortage of available rooms. He felt confident that coming here was a very good idea. He smiled a sinister smile at Aura, and said "Thank you very much for your help. I think I will be able to take it from here." He began walking towards the foyer to sign in with Lisa. He would try to get a room with other occupied rooms around him. He was eager for the chance to power up with such an abundance of mutant ability living in the same building. He greeted Lisa and handed her the paper he was holding, before turning back to aura to reassure her. "Again, thank you."
"Not a problem" She said with a wave of her hand, she was confident he would fit in well at the sanctuary, she kind of wanted someone to attack, for the sole purpose of seeing the Muscle bound man in action."I guess i will see you around" She said with a smile before turning, and walking back toward the door, picking her book up from the small table near the door and leaning against the wall. The humans fall was growing more assured with each passing day with recruits like Evox with them she could not see how they could lose, then again she thought, she had littile idea of what their opponents could do other then COld steel. She would learn in time though, it was all just a matter of time.
