The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kalt could feel her mind begin to slip from lack of sleep and surprisingly a lack of energy. The edges of her sanity began to blur and it was all she could do to keep her mind focused on keeping Lee safe while he was passed out. As the SWAT members fell back Kalt wrapped her arms around Lee and worm holed to her bedroom. Kalt barely managed to get Lee into her bed when she heard Tricity's order to go to the front hall. After lingering a moment to place her hand on Lee's forehead Kalt almost made a worm hole when she saw her bag containing her adrenaline injections. Kalt had never made so many worm holes in such a short amount of time and for the first time in a long time she was begining to feel worn out. After half a moment more Kalt injected herself with adrenaline, hoping she could expend all the extra energy in this fight before her mind completely slipped.
When Kalt appeared down stairs from yet another worm hole she took a long look at the sentinals. Kalt heard the comments of the others but couldn't quite grasp the importance of what they were saying. Kalt walked out of the mansion down the steps to where Tricity stood to get a closer look of her new enemy. One sentinal scanned her and reported: Name: Unknown. Codename: Unknown. Mutant class level: 2 or 3. Mutation: Worm hole creation/manipulation. Mutant is not registered. Awaiting further instructions.
Kalt's mind cleared a bit as the adrenaline began to kick in, though she could feel it wouldn't last long. As she sized up the sentinals Kalt realized she couldn't transport a thing of that size. The only thing she could think to do would be to get inside one and slowly begin to suck out its insides with her worm holes as long as her mind stayed with her.
Kalt thought of Lee and what would happen to him if a sentinal started to tear through the mansion. Kalt spoke to Tricity,"Lee is in my room. He got knocked out and I wasn't sure where to take him, I am not sure how badly he is hurt. I can't suck a thing like one of those in a worm hole, not unless I let myself go completely mad. I can only help take one apart piece by piece and even then only as long as my mind holds out." Kalt's voice came out wavering between a shrill yelp and a desparate gasp. Her hands were tensed and she was shaking slightly with the amount of engery flowing through her and the anticipation of tearing apart one of the sentinals.
*Tricity nodded at Wraith and Kalt, confirming the idea.* "That sounds good, Wraith because I think they are about to unleash whatever it is they're planning. Kalt, maybe you can use a wormhole to teleport us back and forth in case we need help." *The gigantic robots began beeping as if attaining new orders. A moment later they all turned their heads back to the mutants.* sentinel: "Orders understood. Destroy or capture mutants if possible. Delilah Rose Tipper must be taken to lab for further analysis." *Tricity didn't wait to hear the rest of the order as she began conjuring the electricity that was in the surrounding area. Therefore, the floodlights on the mansion grounds went out, one by one. Her eyes turned completely black and the aura around Tricity was a bright blue, making her the brightest thing on the campus. She concentrated on the first sentinel which was standing in front of the other two.* "Hope this works..." *She began to mentally turn the sentinel off as well as produce one of her familiar blue balls of energy in her palm. It swirled and sparked with the electric power. As she scanned the sentinel, Tricity realized whoever had built these machines, knew to protect them from her kind of mutation. It would take much more power to shut them off or even try and short circuit their systems. She wouldn't be able to use such power unless she conjured up the power of lightning. That only happened a few times before and under extreme situations. Not that this wasn't one, but Tricity knew she had to be careful, now being pregnant. The DocProf said sh and the baby may die if she wasn't careful.* "They are highly dangerous. Their melee attacks are the most deadly as well as their energy blasts. Taking them down through force won't help. Honestly, I don't have a plan because I wasn't expecting this. Everyone be on your guard and watch over each other." *She shot the energy ball at the sentinel, making it step back from the blast. Tricity tried to aim for the control panel, but it seemed they had some type of forcefield up, acting as a shield. This would be difficult. She motioned for them to fan out, so they wouldn't be sitting ducks in one spot.*
(OOC: Please don't take them down too easily. Make it a teamwork effort. Most of you know how deadly sentinels can be. Axel, if you want to start your plot, you can have the soldiers kidnap you some time in your post. I won't make this much longer. Maybe a post by everyone before finally narrating the ending.)

Daria sighed as she saw the sentinels from the van. She still hurt from the fight and the removal of the stone. She wanted desparately to clean her claws of the blood but knew there would be time for that later.
She teleported herself from the van and right on top of a sentinel. She was immediately aimed at by another and darted away quickly as one sentinel shot the other, removing a chunk of its right side.
She landed gracefully on her feet next to Tricity, her back to that of the headmistress'.
"Hey. See you're haveing a good day." she said dryly.

(OOC: To everyone: Now that the museum fight has ended, the X-Men are coming back to the mansion, thus to the fight happening on the front lawn involving the oh-so-brave residents. Therefore, adding them to the posting order would be completely insane, so we now have OPEN POSTING. This means the order is now dead and whenever you want to post, feel free to. To recap, there are three sentinels on the lawn right now. NO ONE can take down a sentinel alone, so don't write anything like it!! WOO HOO teamwork!! Arjay or/and myself may add sentinels in case the three already on the lawn are taken down before everyone involved has a chance to post. So um, KICK ASS! >.<)
"And here I thought we'd managed to draw all of the garbage into town," Cassiel mused. He walked slowly away from the cars, then leapt into the air. Grimly he stretched out his hand toward the sentinel parts that had been shot off in Daria's distraction, and smashed them into the Sentinel that had done the shooting.
He landed, standing protectively in front of Tricity and Daria. "Sorry we're a little late for the party, but we did bring desert," he said without much humor as he watched the results of his attack: knocked off balance, the sentinel he'd struck fell to the ground.
*Tricity smiled and patted Cassiel on the back.* "Normally I would be insanely upset, but I understand why you did it. Thank you, Mike." *She watched as the sentinel hit the ground and then struggled in standing once more. Suddenly she saw a figure coming from the van and walking across the lawn, her heart skipping a beat. She staggered a bit as her head began spinning and she had to reach out to Daria and Mike to keep herself from falling.* "Oh God, is that..."
"Yes, it is. Now let me work at this for a minute."
The Sentinel was struggling to get up even as they spoke. Mike began gathering his power, all of the anger and hatred he'd released into Whitmore earlier in the night. His eyes glowed brightly as he reached out growling. Nothing mattered at that moment... not the students, not the X-Men, not even the blood still running into his eyes from the deep scratches across the side of his face. Just the Sentinel.
With a roar, he reached his hand out, and then yanked it to the side. A blaze of telekinetic energy flared around him, and with an electric surge, the sentinel's head was torn from its shoulders.
As the glow died, Mike fell to his knees, panting. "Okay... I think I need to rest a minute," he muttered weakly. "And I told you I'd bring him back..."
Attack? Did he hear Victoria correctly? ... He immediately worried for her, following her outside, though he knew he could not do much against the sentinels. Then the sudden appearance of the X-men raised his spirits. Maybe Victoria would not have to battle. He certainly hoped so. He placed a gentle hand on Victoria's shoulder as he got to the group, nodding at Mike and Tricity. "How can I help?" His eyes immediately returned to the sentinels after surveying the group standing there, prepped to move at a moments notice.
Victoria noted that the other X-men were returning to the mansion. But there was still a battle to be fought. Looking on either side of her to Axel and Raphael, she turned her eyes to the Sentinals before them. "I can do this." She said simply. Reaching her hand out, she squeezed Raph's and stepped out onto the lawn.
Keeping her eyes focused, Victoria searched to sense her powers. Once the familiar tingle surfaced, she looked to her hands and saw that she had successfully made herself invisible. Smiling to herself, she continued through the front yard, picking up her pace.
Reaching the base of the foot of one of the Sentinals, Victoria let out a sigh and reached out to start climbling. Reason told her that the main circuts were located in the chest of the robot so she wilfully climbed up to it. Hoping that she wouldn't be detected, she went hand over hand, foot over foot, pulling her light weight frame up until she was able to grab onto the middle section of the giant robot.
Suddenly, the Sentinal began to move. With no one able to see where she was and the Sentinal unable to detet her thusfar, Victoria had no one to trust but herself. It was times like these that she wished she were psychic.
Keeping her hold, Victoria pulled her head towards her chest, concentrating on the secondary part of her power. Soon, she could feel her hand slip through the metal and into the main body of the giant robot. She could feel the wires and circuts pass through her hand with a tickle, but that wasn't going to stop it. Pulling herself higher onto the mid section, Victoria grabbed firmly onto anything she could, continuing to feel the Sentinal stepping forward towards the mansion. She hoped that no one would open fire.
Shutting her eyes hard, Victoria pressed her body firmly against the metal, her body pushing through it an onto the inside. "Woah." the sensation left her lips in a word. The wires ran through her body but she could feel her consentration fading and her materialism increasing.
"Mutant Detected." the eerie voice of the Sentinal came from the outside, the sound vibrating inwards. Acting fast, Victoria began to grab onto whatever she could and pull with all her might. Hearing the satisfying rip of the wires from the circut boards, Victoria suddenly gasped when she felt the electricity suddenly run freely through the inner body. She hadn't thought about that part.
"Bloody hell!" Victoria cursed, stumbling backwards as she held on to some wires and tumbled out of the back of the Sentinal. Electricity followed as she materialized out the back end and as it passed rapidly through her body, Victoria let go with a groan and fell to the ground in a heap.
Raphael let out a soft curse under his breath as he watched, frozen in time it would seem, as Victoria faded from view. She was going to try it, and hopefully live. He stepped up beside Mike and Tricity to have a clear view, then closed his eyes and gave his head a shake. His eyes assumed a soft green glow as he 'turned on' his life-aura sight. Opening his eyes once more he tracked Victoria's movements across the lawn.
His glowing green eyes following, almost nervously, her movements as she climbed the sentinel. He held his breath as he watched the green glowing form press through the body of the sentinel, then nearly shouted out as she fell out behind it, obviously hurt.
Raphael closed his eyes for a moment, shaking his head and clearing his life-aura vision out, then proceeded to ignore every bit of survival instinct that had kept him alive before and dashed out onto the lawn. He was immediately noticed by the remaining sentinel.
"Mutant detected." the sentinel uttered in complete mechanized monotony. Though Raphael barely heard it, though he did feel the concussion blast burn into the ground he had just passed over. At that Raphael took evasive action, dipping, ducking, zigging, and zagging as the sentinel blasted away at the lawn.
As he approached where Victoria laid he dove for her, landing just beside her as the other sentinel blasted its now deactivated comrade's leg. A stroke of luck for the pair of mutants now clustered between them. "I'm gettin' you outta here..." he murmured to Victoria, not even sure if she could hear him or not, and not entirely caring. He then lifted her into his arms as he rose to a half crouch.
Raphael clutched Victoria close to him as he made a mad dash back towards the mansion, and the group standing infront of it. He only hoped that one of them could distract the sentinel, or disable it, before he was fried with the woman he was becoming so attached to, despite having known her for such a short time. He ran for both of their lives, dodging the best he could with her in his arms and held close to his bloody frame, though there would be only so long he could dodge while carrying her.
Golem watched in awe as the other mutants went about trying to take out the sentinels. He saw need for his own actions when Raphael rushed out, nearly getting killed in the process, and picked up the unconcious Victoria and began his mad dash back.
Golem ran out into the mansion grounds, being narrowly missed once or twice by concussion beams, and headed for the nearest stout tree. With arms outstretched he shoved straight into, breaking it down with an enormous cracking sound. Wasting no time, Golem picked up the big ole' tree and steadied it with his shoulder as he made his way to a point where he had a clear shot from. Seeing that Raphael still had about half the grounds left to go, Golem made his move. Aiming carefully with the help of his shoulder, he drew back his throwing arm and launched the whole dam tree right at the sentinel's head. Time seemed to slow down as the log spiralled gently in the air, Raphael made step after step, the sentinel began to swivel its arm around for the next shot at Raphael... "Incoming projecti-.." *CRASH* The tree got the sentinel right in the eye, taking out its left lense. The sentinel made its shot at Raphael, which missed by heaps and then turned to look at Golem with its remaining functioning eye. "Threat detected. Species: Unknown. Description: Humanoid, composed of earth. Threat level: Unknown. Subject now registered. Awaiting further instructions."
Raphael made it safely into the mansion, while the sentinel attempted to compensate for its damage.
"Instructions recieved. Capture subject."
"oh shit." said Golem, and made a run for some more trees, where he found Jack Harlen taking cover. "Hey, look out!" said Jack as a net thing came blasting though the trees at Golem, Jack kicked Golem out of the line of fire and took the hit himself in a classic "safe them at the cost of yourself" style save. "No, Legs!!!" yelled Golem from where he landed, as Jack was hauled back up through the trees and sky to the sentinel that fired the net thingy.
(OOC: They intend to capture Golem/Axel, so if you fell like having that happen at a good time during your post, go for it)
(OOC: For the profile of Jack Harlen, go to "http://theultimatexmen.proboards26.com/index.cgi?board=charactersprofile&action=display&thread=1128893166" and look for it.)
Jaguar, dodging sentinals and slashing at their legs as he went by, climbed up onto the top of one and started to claw a hole in its back. With that done, he climbed inside and started randomly ripping apart wires. The problem with that was that the wires were protected with a very strong casing, and took a while to get through. After about 2 wires the sentinal reached back and plucked Jaguar out of itself.
"Analyzing. Subject is target. Capturing." With that the sentinal lifted its other hand and shot a steel wire net at Jaguar. Jaguar fell to the ground, fighting the net, when a young SWAT member came up and pointed a tranquilizer gun at Jaguar.
"Say goodnight, kittie" He then shot the tranquilizer gun into Jaguars arm, and the rest was black
When Jaguar woke up he was no-longer in his Jaguar form, and he was strapped down to a table. A man walked in holding a collar with a tube on it. He then put the collar on Jaguar, and the needle went in, injecting steriods directly into Jaguars system. Jaguar, being weak from the fighting, and powered by the steriods, lost all controll of his body. His mental barriers broke, and his evil alter-ego finally, after all those years, was free and in control. One consequence of that is that he was now permanately in Jaguar form. His now bigger wrists broke the straps, and It stood up.
The man, presumabley the interrogator, asked It. "So Jaguar, how do you feel."
"I am not Jaguar. Call me Hic."
"Then it worked. Care to watch one of the captured students be interrogated?"
"It would be a pleasure." They then walked out of the room, side by side...

*John stepped out of the van and stared in awe of the sentinels out on the front yard. He started bolting toward the others on the lawn and saw Victoria fall to the ground, the sentinel she was on began stumbling about.* "TRICITY!!" *A tree trunk suddenly came falling down toward him and he froze in fright.*
*Orion starting running across the lawn when he also saw the tree trunk falling from the sky after hitting a sentinel dead in the face. He turned back around and saw Johnathon had stiffened up, much to his demise.* "MOVE, KID!!" *Orion bolted toward John and shouldered the teen, both of them falling inches from where the tree landed. They sat up, taking deep breaths and saw the sentinel begin to teeter back and forth from the extensive damage it received.* "John, get inside. Help the others, they're probably in the Danger Room." *The young man nodded and ran across the lawn, dodging the blows from the sentinels as best as possible. Orion stood up once more, beginning to build chaos into his hand. After the black smoke engulfed his fist completely he smashed it into the ground, making the earth rock. The sentinel finally sprawled out onto the grass and Orion took the opportunity to climb the robot and use his sword to cut open the metal chestplate. He noticed whoever that purple-haired girl was, did some good damage on the sentinel, along with the clay looking guy that tossed a tree trunk at it. 'Taking out it's concussive beams was the best thing that guy could've done. It's good to see we've got some more bad asses at the school now,' he thought while slashing away at the wires inside. The sentinel started convulsing and he heard the programs inside begin to shut down.*
*Without much thought, Tricity took off across the lawn, trying to get to Orion as quick as possible.* "RI!!" *She wasn't very fast, after all, being pregnant can kinda slow a person down. Orion's head lifted up as he removed the sword from the now-disabled sentinel and saw Tricity coming toward him. He couldn't believe what she was doing, but he also understood too. Tricity saw another sentinel land on the lawn, taking the number back up to three again, but she kept of going to get to him. Orion sprinted across the yard as fast as he could to Tricity and hoped the sentinels would be more inclined to react to the other mutants for now. They finally reached one another and Tricity threw her arms around Orion, practically hysterical. He wrapped his huge arms around her and went running with her to the front of the mansion where he saw a younger girl that quite frankly looked like a fox. Tricity didn't let her grip around Orion's neck go as she held on to him for dear life.* "Ri, I thought...I thought you were..." *He stroked her hair and pulled her face away from his shoulder.* orion: "It's alright. I'm here now. Everything will be okay." *He tried to say this in the most soothing voice right now as he could see Tricity was ignoring the warzone that was happenign around her at the moment. He took her face in his hands, looked into her eyes, and began to talk to her seriously.* orion: "We'll catch up later, right now, we have to get rid of the sentinels, ok? You hear me?" *She nodded and began to calm her breathing down as she was pratically shaking in his grasp. Tricity took a few more deep breaths and then steadied herself for the battle. A tear fell on the back of her palm and sizzled away as the electricity was still running through her. It immediately gave her an idea. She turned to Emerald and spoke in a now very serious tone.* "You think you can douse one of those things with water, Em?"
