The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kalt did not have time respond to Lee's mentioning of just leaving the mansion. She barely had time to think that this was her home and couldn't leave, even if it wasn't her home, before Lee pushed her to the side and the attackers came around the corner. Everything moved very quickly for a moment and Kalt had just gotten to her feet when she heard Lee yell her name. Kalt turned and saw Lee's katana sink into a SWAT member. Then as Kalt turned around she saw another SWAT guy hit Lee on the back of his head as he called out to her to run.
'Lee..run...Run? Like hell I will run!!' Kalt glared at the two SWAT guys behind the fallen Lee. Her hair rose up in a nonexistant wind, her eyes went light suckingly black, and a twisted smile spread across Kalt's face as she let all the energy she had pent up inside her gush out on a crest of anger.
The SWAT guys brought up their guns and began to shoot at Kalt she spread her hands wide and let out an inhuman scream of anger and made a worm hole infront of herself. The SWAT guys continued to fire their rounds for several moments but then stopped. Kalt closed the begining of the worm hole and said,"Sorry suckers, time to die!" Kalt then smiled even more manically and a worm hole opening appeared above the two men. All their bullets shot out at full momentum killing them on the spot.
Kalt walked over to Lee and looked down at him. She knew she needed to protect him but with so much energy and emotion flowing through her at once she could not think of what to do. Kalt heard a noise behind her but was too slow to stop the end of a rifle being smacked into the small of her back. Kalt let out an enraged shout while turning to make another worm hole that sucked the man inside.
Outside the mansion where there were several SWAT members on their way in, a body of one of their team mates fell to the ground with a sickening sound that meant he was surely dead.
*The remaining bit of electricity that still remained in the mansion was now gone and Tricity glowed with an aura of blue around her body. She made sure to keep the electricity in the Danger Room on in order to keep the children safely locked inside. She heard the boots of the men running through the hallway. Tricity placed her back against the adjacent wall as they came into the living room and surveyed the area. She causually walked up behind the closest one and grabbed the back of his neck, sending him into convulsions. This caused the soldier to squeeze the trigger of his gun sending bullets spraying throughout the room. She grabbed his arm and aimed for the second soldier, who was shot in the leg and dropped to the floor, behind the couch. Tricity let go of the man and she slumped to the floor, unconscious. Palm up, she conjured a blue ball of swirling energy in her hand and prepared to shoot it at the soldier who had ducked out of sight. She walked behind the couch and saw he had pointed a tazer in her direction. Tricity didn't move as he shot it at her.* "Idiot." *The tazer hit her in the chest and shoulder, but she yanked the cords out and threw them back at the man. He convulsed from the shock, beginning to foam at the mouth. She didn't wait around to see him pass out as she heard more footsteps and then the sight of three more men at the doorway from the living room to the dining room. She shot the energy ball at the first man which sent him flying into the dining room table. She dropped down behind another couch as they fired their assault rifles at her. Tricity covered her head and thought of a quick plan. The TV suddenly came on and caught the attention of the two men. They fired at it which gave her the chance to stand and shoot both of them with a surge of electricity. The blue, lightning like bolt shot across the room and the two men convulsed just as the others had. They both fell to the ground. Tricity left went into the dining room and saw no one was coming. She made her way down to the security center which was near the front doors after hearing Johnathon's voice coming from one of the com devices. She quickly made her way down the hall until suddenly being grabbed from behind, a knife to her stomach.* soldier: "You try anything funny and you die along with your baby." *She grabbed the wrist holding the blade to her stomach and sent a surge through her body and into his. She turned around to face him and watch his pain, finding some delight in it after threatening her baby's life. His expression was in shock and pain as he fell to the ground, Tricity not letting go. Johnathon's voice echoed from the security station again. She reluctantly let his wrist go and walked over to the center, picking up the radio.* "Johnathon??" john: "Ms. Tipper, we're at the museum and Whitmore headed us off. Orion is here!!" *Tricity stomach flipped when he had said that.* "Is he alright?? Where is he?" john: "Whitmore has implanted a piece of the green stone in him. He's following his orders." "Are you with Mike and the rest of the X-Men?" john: "They're inside fighting with Whitmore, his soldiers, and Orion. We could use the help, I'm sure." "I can't leave. The mansion is under attack. Whitmore is making sure you don't get any back up. If we clear the house out, myself and maybe a couple others will be able to get there. John, you and the rest will have to hold for now." john: "Alright. I'm gonna go in." "Be careful, Johnathon." john: "You too, Ms. Tipper." *The line went dead and she dropped the radio, seeing another soldier coming from the dining room. She shot a surge down the hallway, taking him down quickly. She left the security station and made her way back to the living room and dining room.*

*Whitmore picked up his phone and made a call from the museum.* whitmore: "Send in the bots. I'm sure those freaks have been tired out by now, hopefully a few of them dead. Report back with the information." *A sergeant received the message and confirmed it through the radios of his teammates. The few that remained in the mansion began to back out and leave the grounds as the new wave of enemies began to come from above. Tricity watched as the uniformed men retreated, picking up her radio to get a head count of the team.* "Everyone, return downstairs to the living room." *She released most of the electricity back into the mansion which in turn brought most of the lights back on. Tricity made her way through the front halls to make sure they were clear, but as she passed the front doors, something caught her eye. There was a bright light shining through the darkness of the night, with the power of a flood light nearly blinding her. It sounded like some type of plane was landing on the front yard. But to her astonishment, it was something she recognized and had hoped she would never have to see again. Tricity pressed down the radio button again.* "Um, scratch that. Everyone meet at the front hall, downstairs." *She slowly stepped out of the mansion and walked down the staircase, onto the grass.* "Christ..." *The first, three sentinels landed on the front yard and began searching the area. The red beam landed on Tricity, scanning her up and down. She could hear the beeping noise of the sentinel reading over her body.* sentinel: "Name; Delilah Rose Tipper. Codename; Tricity. Mutant class level; 4 with possible level 5. Mutation; Manipulation of electricity and lightning. Mutant has registered. Awaiting further instructions..." *Tricity crossed her arms over her chest and sighed in frustration. 'This isn't good...', she thought, hoping the others would come down soon. The three story sentinels began moving slowly across the lawn toward her. She began thinking of their history as she remembered and studied on after their first encounter.* "Flight, shoot concussive energy beams through hands, detect mutants through eyes, small explosives, high physical strength...Going hand to hand isn't going to prove the best way to defeat them." *Tricity knew her best bet was going to be to try and shut down the power in the sentinels with her mutation. 'That's gonna take a shitload of energy, though.' She moved away from the front door and slowly crossed over to the left side of the lawn, seeing as if she stood in the doorway while the others came, one concussive beam could wipe them all out in one shot. They didn't attack her. It seemed they were still sizing her up...or was it they didn't want her dead??*
(OOC: We're still sticking to the same order as always. You can control a sentinel if you want. Their powers are stated above and if you want to make them survey your charrie, that's fine. But, know that nobody in this battle is a level 5 mutant, so don't try it! lol If you wanna make the sentinels talk, just use the general information that it wanted when looking over Tric. Technically, nobody else in this battle should even be a level 4, but I know how eager everyone is to be all powerful. The only level 4s and above are not in this battle right now. You'll just have to work at it like the rest of us did! lol You can begin fighting with the sentinels in your next post if you'd like. Remember, don't be Superman...that's a different forum. Axel Pike is next if Emerald doesn't post.)
Emerald had ran out to the yard when Tricity ordered it upon the walkie talkies. She was glad that She and Axel had taken care of their soldiers but for some reason she had an overwhelming feeling of dread within her. As she stepped upon the grass of the Front Lawn she decided to remove her shoes.
She always fought things better with them off.
Emerald let out a feral snarl as she saw the Senitals. She had an encounter with one before and had barely gotten out of it alive. She noticed the second Senital's red light scanning her up an down.
"Name: Emerald Aqua Lupin, Project Number: A15970, Codename: Oceanwolf. Mutant Class Level : 3; Known Mutation: Wolf Metamorph and Water Manipulation/control." IT said, "Waiting for further instructions."
Emerald knew better by now that if she attacked the Senital by herself that it would be all over for her. It would be best to wait for the others to begin to attack, before she threw herself into battle mode.
((wow, I am so sorry, I will wait for my turn. I am so sorry that that happened, I didn't have internet connection for a while there and I apoplogize but I am back and I will post when it is my turn))
Fade lifted her hands as she heard the voice behind her. However, lucky her, she didn't have to do anything because Jaguar had already taken action and by the time that Fade turned around, all of the fun stuff was over. Realizing that she had missed it, she sighed before her eyes widened quickly and her body disappeared to reveal another one of those stupid S.W.A.T.-ish guys that rounded the corner.
A slight tick was heard on the ceiling as she jumped and dug her unique claws into the solid and swung her legs up before crawling along the ceiling until she reached the man. Once she had gotten about 2 steps behind the man, she jumped down from the ceiling, releasing a slight thud from the ground as her barefeet hit the carpet. He turned just to find an invisible fist in his face. As he staggared (sp?) back, she took the opportunity to hit him where it hurts. Boy did it work, he dropped to his knees as he grabbed the source of the pulsing pain. Fade then turned around and kicked him in the side of the face with such force that not only did he fall over, but he didn't get back up. It was official, he was out cold.
Hearing Emerald's walkie-talkie go off, Axel was reminded that he still hadn't grabbed one. He quickly went to a cabinet, grabbed one out and turned it on. He managed to catch the last of the transmission from Tricity:
"Everyone, meet at the front hall, downstairs."
He felt a little curious as to where all the SWAT members where running off to in such a hurry, (apart from the incapacitated ones) but obeyed Tricity's order and began to walk off to the front hall. "Hmm.." thought Axel, as he went to put his walkie-talkie somewhere on his person. "No pockets, no nothing."
Stopping where he was standing, he put his hand to his chest and shut his eyes; concentrating. The dominating blue light of his soul form -
(dominating light as in, it sucks out all the surrounding light as long as it is present)
- appeared in a glob around his hand. He extended his hand and held it there for a moment as the glob took on a shape and returned to its ordinary; not-freaky-blue-light; material form. It was his belt.
Quickly he strapped on his belt; hung the walkie-talkie on it, then stomped off (making the room shake a little) to the front hall.
Some of the other defense teams were already there, hiding away from the front doors, but not Tricity. Looking around he said, "so, whats going on?"
Raphael maintained the hold on his human shield. He had run himself up the creek as the other three members of the S.W.A.T. team came to their comrades’ aid. Three men, three members waiting for a clear shot at Raphael.
Even in such obvious danger he kept his cool. He looked around, searching for a way to his foes, a way that would not end up with him being shot. His attention was immediately yanked away from his search with the resounding crack of a rifle echoing down the hallway. ‘Shit!’ was the least of the expletives to race through his mind. Were the fools shooting at him despite his human shield? Raphael glanced around, everything moving in slow motion. A second crack and he finally spotted the target. Victoria ducked her head back around the corner.
She had been watching him. The thought ran through his mind. How would this affect their relationship? It was one thing to tell her about his previous killing, but to watch him end not one, but two men’s lives, was entirely different. He shook his head, the second thing to run through his mind… The remaining S.W.A.T. members were shooting at the young woman he was falling for.
He struggled to keep cool, getting himself killed while protecting her would be no aid to either of them. Then it occurred to him: advance with his human shield still held in front of him. The man, while a dead weight in Raphael’s hands, was not so heavy that he could not move him; and move him he did. Slowly inching forward as the living S.W.A.T. members shouted for him to stop. At five feet, the crack of a rifle drove Raphael into action.
The round thudded heavily against the man he held as a shield. At that Raphael unleashed his elbow blades, and dropped his human shield. He moved as quickly as possible. His human shield fell to the left as he moved right. He sprung from where he stood, the S.W.A.T. member’s rifles going off and sinking rounds into the wall behind him. His jump placed him against the wall where he sprung forward towards the three men as they brought rifles around to bear on him.
A second round of cracks produced from the rifles produced a sharp pain in Raphael’s right ear. The top tip of his ear was hit, a small spatter of blood across his face, and an eruption of retaliation. His elbow blade flashed forward, the first S.W.A.T. member sinking to his knees as his head rolled backwards. Raphael wasted no time moving on the other two S.W.A.T. members, looking like a blood spattered specter from hell. His elbow blade swiped again, opening a wound on the second man. He from there launched into a series of hand to hand blows with the S.W.A.T. member. He finished him off with a quick jab to the throat; a jab that sent him sinking to the ground, choking to death much like the first member Raphael dispatched.
He spun, looking at the only remaining member of the S.W.A.T. team sent to clear the second floor. The man faltered for a moment, then brought his weapon up to bear on Raphael. He froze under the gaze of that rifle barrel, though his hands remained at the ready. He then saw the shakes in the man, he was scared. Frightened of the blood coated melee combatant standing before him; frightened of the ‘demon’ he had witnessed slay with seeming ease his comrades. His softly uttered prayers gave away that much, though he still had not pulled the trigger on his rifle, and put the ‘demon’ down.
“Shoot fool.” Raphael demanded, getting cocky. The S.W.A.T. member obliged, his finger twitching against the trigger on his rifle. Raphael reacted, he did not think, or even realize what had happened until after it was over. He moved, quickly to the right side, the S.W.A.T. member’s bullet tearing through his left arm. He swiped with his uninjured arm, severing the man’s arm at the shoulder.
Raphael pressed on with his elbow blade with a grunt of exertion, right to the bullet-proof vest the man wore. He then shifted his weight back, drawing blade elbow back to move at an angle to shove his blade down through the hole he had just created and pierce the man’s heart. He snapped his blade back into his elbow and let the man drop to the ground. Only then did he even realize the once dull pain in his arm was a bullet wound. The pain crept up from a dull ache to a sharp stabbing shock. His blood caked hand clutched over the already closing wound in his arm. He turned about and looked back at the corner where Victoria had stood.
Raphael hoped that she was okay. That his blood covered form would not terrify her. That she had not seen all of the violence he had created in the small hallway. He then remembered what Tricity had said about the radios. He made his way to the hallway closet, the pain slowly dying away in his arm as the bullet wound healed; his ear had already fully repaired itself. He left a bloody handprint on the closet door as he pulled it open, and pulled a radio out. He tuned it to channel 2 as he headed back towards corner where he last saw Victoria.
"Um, scratch that. Everyone meet at the front hall, downstairs." Tricity crackled over the radio.
“Victoria?” Raphael called out. “Tricity says we aughta get downstairs.” He rubbed at his arm where the bullet had gone through, and rounded the corner, and found her there. She stood there aghast at his figure. He shook his head, mentally beating himself up for doing what he had just done, especially when she was in a position to watch him do it. “Comeon…” he murmured softly, reaching out for her hand.
Despite weather or not he accomplished taking her hand, Raphael lead the way back downstairs and to the front hall. The doors stood wide open with Emerald and Tricity standing just outside and Axel inside.
Looking around Axel said, "so, what’s going on?"
Raphael shook his head and shrugged his bloody shoulders, he had not taken the time to clean up since coming here. “Dunno… got five KIA S.W.A.T. members up stairs… arm hurts a lil bit, but other than tha’ I’m fine. Victoria’s okay too… Have you hadda look outside Axel?” He finished his statement with a glance towards Victoria, and a quick jaunt over to the open front door. As he peered out his heart sank. Three sentinels stood on the front lawn. He had heard of these bots, big and devastating. Something the government let loose only on ‘inhuman mutants’. “Shit… Shit shit shit shit…” He muttered, quickly and in rapid succession, he could handle human foes with ease. He could even tackle most physical mutants… But a machine made of steel and adamantium? His elbow blades would be useless against something like that, and he certainly did not have the capability to tackle it with his bare hands.
“Axel… Come over here and look.” He said with a beckoning hand to both Axel and Victoria. “That’s what’s going on.” He pointed, then ducked behind the front door, and waited for Tricity’s order to come out. If nothing else, he could operate as a distraction for some of the more powerful mutants to handle this threat.
Seeing Fade take care of the other swat dudes Jaguar went into the closet and got walkie talkies in time for him to hear the last of the message. "Hey Fade. Looks like everyone is coming down here. I don't know wh-. Oh crap. Sentinals"
Two sentinals walked in , and one scanned Jaguar. "Scanning for mutant DNA. Mutant DNA found. Name: Jaguar. Mutation: Werejaguar. Level: 4. Threat: Minimal. Anomalie found. Name: Neal Jacorski. Mutation: Werejaguar, imprisonment inside of Jaguar. Level: 5 Threat: Substantial. Must eliminate mutant." It then swiveled its head and shot lasers at Jaguar. Jaguar jumped out of the way, slihgtly confused.
~Neal Jacorski? Any idea who that is?~ ~Yes. It's me, and you. That is your name.~ ~My name....~
Victoria had watched everything. Her mouth gaped open slightly and her eyes were wide as she watched Raphael come to their defence. She had been keeping herself ready should the attackers make it past him, but had become too shocked by Raphael's violent attacks to pay attention to anything immediately around her.
To see Raphael covered in blood immediately scared Victoria. Darting behind the corner when she noticed that he was watching her, her chest started heaving. Sure she had seen violence and even death in her life, but this was more; this was intense. Struggling to regain her breath and her senses, Vitoria decided that she couldn't let the violence get to her. They were fighting for their lives out there and Raphael was taking the brunt of it.
Unaware of what kind of battle he was going through, and standing hidden around the corner from it, Victoria felt completely helpless. She didn't have mutant abilities that would allow her to attack like he was. She was only good for a getaway and that would only be helpful if her powers even cooperated with her.
When Raphael rounded the corner after the fighting seemed to slow in the hallway, she had nothing but shock ripple through her body at his appearance. A part of her wanted to pull away from being near him, mentally running through what had most likely happened out there. Most of her, however, brought her closer to him, seeing his injuries through the blood that seemed to cover him entirely.
"Raph?" She said quietly, reaching out slowly to take his hand. She should be stronger than the moment was allowing; she had to make herself fight in this battle. If not for her own survival, than for Raphael's.
They headed back downstairs amid the fallen bodies of the severely injured soldiers and to the living room where they were to regroup. The building was falling to shambles, but it wasn't time to give up yet. The next thing she knew, they were on the berth of facing three robotic sentinals that loomed on the front lawn.
"I can handle them...I think." Victoria spoke without completely thinking. Her eyes gazed almost blankly at their towering image, her hands trembling at her side. "I can pass through them. I'm pretty sure that I can short circut their systems. If I'm lucky, they won't detect me either."
She shared her thoughts out loud, hopefully inspiring the others to agree with the idea and help her accomplish the task.
