The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

On a cloudy afternoon a loud rumble emerges from Deathstar's classic mustang as she makes a sharp turn into the busy streets of times square, now driving carefully looking for a diner to fill her belly, she pulls the car near the curb as she spots a place. Deathstar emerges from the car rocking her new bob cut hairstyle wearing shades, a dark brown leather jacket, and nice pair of blue jeans. She walks onto to the sidewalk cutting off pedestrians crowding the sidewalk, "Excuse me!", says a rude woman talking on her cell phone, Deathstar eyes the woman up and down as if she is sizing her up, "your not worth my time" she says in calm voice as she proceeds inside the diner.
Once inside Deathstar takes off her shades and finds herself a seat, the diner interior was inspired by the 60's, having jukebox in the right rear corner, employees wearing clothes that mimic the golden years, and a long narrow counter top and stools that seats about20 people. The diner small place, but Deathstar didn't care she's been on long ride and she is ready grub down. Deathstar picks up the menu and with frame of her shades gently touching her lips, she takes her time deciding her on what she wants to order, "may I take your order sweetie?" a male diner employee asked politely, "yeah, let me have breakfast for dinner special", Deathstar replies, "breakfast special coming up" he says in a funny accent throwing Deathstar a wink of the eye while he checks off her order on his writing pad. This couldn't be any cheesier, Deathstar rest her face in her palm while she waits for her food.
Today was an odd day. Sara didn’t normally walk around with such a large wd of money in her pocket. She normally settled for a 20. but lately she had just been on a roll. So she had a couple hundred. The other odd thing was that Sara normally hid. She walked around with her head down and her hood up, trying not to be spotted in large crowds. She also didn’t eat out in places other than a little restaurant called Dragon Inn. But today was a day to try different things.
Today, Sara walked with her hood down, out on the street. She was receiving a number of weird looks that made her nose darken with the embarrassment, but her looks wasn’t her problem. She should have a right not to hide. People would have to deal with that…. At least that sounded like a good idea at the time. The crowd on the street gave Sara a wide birth as she walked. Some who were walking towards her, stopped, and turned around promptly. The Feline frowned. Her ears flatted against the back of her head, and she hunched. Maybe the hole walking around without a hood wasn’t that great of an idea.
Sara’s tail flicked. Stupid people.
Her stomach gave a growl, and a man who had been walking next to her, quite bravely, looked sideways. His PSP dropped out of his hands, and he turned ghostly white. “I’m Hungry.” Sara said flatly.
“…”
“You get hungry too.”
“…”
“I’m not going to eat you.”
The man dropped backwards and scooped up his PSP, before scuttling back through the crowd trying to hide.
Real conversationalist.
Ok so food. Sara settled on the closest place. A 60’s diner. A place that just might be as odd as herself. She made a beeline across the street. Horns honked, and cars kidded to a stop, as the presense of possible rode kill from your worst night mares strolled across traffic and slipped through the door of the diner.
Sara didn’t wait to be seated by the lady pouring coffee into a cup that was now spilling over onto the table. She strolled in like she saw humans do every day, picked a seat near the back, and took a menu.
Ah, clouds. Shade though to himself as he sat on a bench near Time Square. That evil smirk plastered across his face as a sign of his pleasure. He always liked cloudy days. Without the huge ball of burning light filling the sky, the shadowy figure had so many more hiding places. So many more places to suddenly pop out of and take advantage of poor innocent humans. Of course, not that he needed any of their pathetic money anymore. The Sanctuary provided plenty of that for him, and anything he couldn't buy was something that he could always steal.
As he sat admiring the scene of the mindless humans going about their daily lives, something in the crowd caught Shade's eye. Well, one couldn't exactly say it was "in" the crowd. The crowd gave it more than enough space. It was a mutant. A furry mutant that looked like a half-human half-lion. It even had a tail that flicked around behind it as it traveled along the street. Shade watched as the lioness entered a small diner before he stood and disappeared into a nearby alley. An instant later put the shadow jumper across the street in the alley next to the side of the diner. From the way some of those humans intently stared at the mutant, Shade wanted to make sure the authorities would not be a concern. He stepped out of his hiding spot and took a watchful position against the side of the diner as he leaned on the wall.

‘Another busy day’ thought Sam as he was stuck running errands for the mansion mainly helping pick up groceries for the day. Coming to a red light Sam’s stomach let out a loud protest for food. Frowning slightly Sam made a left turn into a parking lot for a 60’s diner he used to frequent a lot hen he was starting out in the mansion. Pulling into a parking lot Sam popped the trunk and shot ice from his hands freezing all the frozen food in a solid block of ice, “That should keep till I get back,” said Sam as he slammed the trunk shut and then walked into the diner.
Entering the room the familiar smell of burgers cooking and fries being greased. Taking a big breath threw his nose Sam let out a large sigh and smiled, “Love this place,” said Sam. It was a small diner but that didn’t mean a bad one, their chocolate malts were the best here!
Looking for a spot to sit Sam noticed a pair of ears over a menu. With a smile he strode over to the table and sat across from Sara, “Long time no see Sara,” said Sam with a big grin on his face, she was some one he hasn’t seen since Christmas and it was always good seeing his sarcastic cat friend. “Mind if I join you?” Sam asked with a smile on his face, “Never fun eating alone.”
Already having his food mental ordered Sam didn’t bother picking up a menu. He just waited for Sara’s reply.
The scene at the diner was busy due to the afternoon lunch rush, crowds of people in business attire enters the diner loudly ranting on about their day at work. After a long period had past after being released from camps, Deathstar still seem to be uneasy around normal humans, as she believed they were the ones who voted on the registration act in the first place. Waiting on her food, Deathstar focused her attention on the people walking outside the diner, occasionally looking at the door everytime the door chimes go off.
A suspicious character wearing a hoody followed by her fury tail enters the place, the loud sound of the diner simmered down as the door chime go offs once again. Deathstar watched the figure take a seat about six stools down from her, its something familiar about that thing, I just can't put my finger on it, "here you go sweetie", said the male employee as he placed her food in front of her interrupting her thought process. Deathstar pulled her hair behind her ears, picks up her fork and starts to cut into her waffles, before she notice a x-man walks through the door. Sam?, I wonder what is he doing here?, just as she was about to call him over, he sits next to the cat thing, maybe he's on a date, better not interrupt them, She picks up her fork and resumes digging into her food. As Deathstar reaches over to drink her milk, she accidentally knocks it on the floor breaking the glass, causing the diner conversations to come to a complete halt.
Sara ducked behind the menu. Menus were nice that way. You didn’t have to show your face if you didn’t want to. Menu’s books, newspapers. They were wonderful inventions for individuals like Sara. Though she already had showed her face. She just didn’t have to look at everyone else as they looked back at her.
“Long time no see Sara,”
Sara dropped her menu just enough that her eyes could peer over the top at first. Oh Slick. With all the different people stuffed in the diner, Sara hadn’t picked his sent out right away.
“Mind if I join you? Never fun eating alone.”
Sra dropped the menu the rest of the way and laid it on the table. “Sure. Take a seat.” Sara motioned to the seat next to her. “Maybe with you here, I can get some service without having to make a scene.”
She glanced back down at her menu, skimming the different burgers, and on trays. Tapping one page with the curved edge of her claw. “I haven’t had chilly cheese fries in a long time.”
The sudden shatter of glass pulled Sara's attention away from her menu and she leaned around Sam to look at what had just happened. Her tail flicked. "Well it seems some things as mundane as spilled milk, actually can take the attention away from me."
After the cat mutant had entered, Shade glimaced another person enter that caught his attention, also a mutant. He had helped saved this young mutant from the clutches of a deadly Stalker bot. A smirk crossed his face at the encounter. Now that he thought about it. Shade had run into this ice man several times: the time in the alley with the Stalker, when he had infiltrated the mansion to test out the Haywire virus for Syn, and most recently, at the attack on the mansion. Shaking his head to clear his head, the sound of glass breaking suddenly snapped Shade's head up. Thinking maybe a human might finally have attacked the half-lioness mutant, the shadow jumper immediately drew a blade into his hand. However, it was only the actions of a clumsy blonde. Wait, were those red streaks? Red streaks like Syn. And...
Shade's mind flashed back to the night in the mansion, filtering through all those records. The infiltrator remembered coming across someone who had been Abyss's sister. Her description had mentioned blonde hair and red streaks. And with red streaks, could she be related to Syn? Everything seemed to be clicking into place, but nothing was making sense. Of course, in a place like New York City there were tons of people with weird hair styles, humans and mutants alike. However, the woman had spriked Shade's interest more than the half-lioness had, and he wanted to find out more. Using the milk incident as a distraction, Shade ported into the darkened bathroom. Stepping out of the smelly restroom, the shadow mutant slid into the closest booth and positioned himself to spy on the potential mutant. His hood made it seem that his eyes were straight ahead while in fact his eyes were nearly staring at the blonde woman.

“I haven’t had chilly cheese fries in a long time.”
“The chocolate malts here are even better than their chili cheese fries.” Said Sam laughing as he looked around when he heard a glass crash. He knew where the source of the commotion but it had been a while since he had seen her.
Calling out to Death Star Sam said, “Way to go.” Looking back to Sara Sam said, “Hold on a second, someone I know.” Getting up from the booth he was in Sam got up and walked over to Death Star’s table and he said, “Hey haven’t seen you in a while! How have you been?” Letting out a small laugh, “See you’re as graceful as the first time I met you!”
After an embarrassing and awkward moment, Deathstar put on her shades to mentally hide from all the attention, Great you idiot, now you got everyone staring at you, Deathstar said to herself. "Its okay sweet thang, I'll clean up the mess, don't want your precious hands to get dirty" the bothersome employee says to her, trying to strike up a conversation with Deathstar but she replied with a death stare and silence.
Calling out to Death Star Sam said, “Way to go
Deathstar hears a familiar voice, she pulls down her shades so she can get a good look at guy,“Hey haven’t seen you in a while! How have you been?” , Sam says as he sits next to her. "Sam?" she said with a puzzled look on her face, "I've been away, I had to find a peace of mind, didn't mean to leave you all hanging back at the mansion, how long have you been here?, She asks while she takes a bite of her food. "So who's your friend?, girlfriend maybe?" She nods toward the hooded mutie Sam was talking to moments ago.
Sara raised her eye brow as she watched a hooded individual come out of the bathroom. Odd She hadn’t seen anyone go in there, but she also hadn’t been in the diner that long.
It took her a moment to recognize the one who dropped the milk. She tilted her head, and a smirk formed across her face. She hadn’t seen that girl since the camps. Huhh… Seemed that Sam knew this girl too… Sara’s tail flicked… Sara made a mental not to order a chocolate malt, with the chili cheese fries, as she leaned over to the side.
"So who's your friend?, girlfriend maybe?"
“Oh hell no.” Sara laughed. “Sorry Slick. Just…. Well you know.” She slid off of the seat, and walked over near DS, where she leaned over the counter. “you should remember me from the camps. Good to know you got some things sorted out since then.”
Shade watched as the ice mutant he had already met on several occasions approached the blonde woman. So they knew each other? Then she must be a mutant and an X-man as well. It had to Abyss's sister. Shade straightened back into the booth at his realization. His eyes drifted outside to the street as he entered into a deeper thought. Should he approach her? Did the blonde woman know her own brother was in Order? She must know with how often the Order and the mansion residents clashed. And then there was the other sibling. They had a sister. Could it be Syn?
"Excuse me...Sir, excuse me!" Shade snapped out of thought as a hand grabbed his shoulder. His head swiveled around to gaze upon a waiter waiting patiently.
"Oh, just a shake. Thank you." The waiter rolled his eyes as he scribed the order on his pad. Obviously, he wanted to be with another customer. Shade glanced out of the window once more before he swept the shop with sightless gaze, staying on the blonde for a half second more than comfortable.

It had been a long time sense Sam saw DeathStar last, ‘a year?’ thought Sam as he looked at the girl. Sam let out a grin, ‘she’s still pretty,’ shaking his head of the thought Sam asked, “You found our peace of mind right? Or is your peace f mind around here somewhere?” Sam acted out like he was looking for something the let out a small snort at DeathStars next question.
But apparently Sara heard and decided to voice her own opinion, “Bit harsh there Sara,” Sam laughed, “No Deathstar Sara is just a friend, my girlfriend is Leila…” Sam said slightly blushing still not used to calling Leila or anyone his girlfriend. “When you come back to the mansion I am sure you will meet here, and I think I can introduce you to most of the new mansion residents.”
Sam blinked at Sara, “Guess you two already know each other.” Said Sam with a smile.
“You found our peace of mind right? Or is your peace of mind around here somewhere?” Sam said, Deathstar relieved her embarrassment with laughter, as Sam spoke about her time away from the mansion, but her humor faded as the catgirl approached the twosome. “you should remember me from the camps. Good to know you got some things sorted out since then”, Deathstar stood from her seat pulling off her shades releasing a deep stare toward the catgirl.
“Guess you two already know each other.” Said Sam with a smile.
"Oh no!, you should remember me" Deathstar said as she picks up her stool and hurls it at the catgirl, She takes off her leather jacket shifting into her fighting stance, "I knew one day I'll run into you again, guess it's a small world after all".
All of a sudden the other girl’s attitude had changed from all friendly with streak to all b*tchy chair throwing to Sara. Well. Stool throwing. The feline ducked and side stepped letting the stool fly right past her, where it smashed into the wall. “I think you still have some issues to work out.”
The human’s who were trying to enjoy their meals all gasped and now, if conversation hadn’t stopped, when Sara entered, it had stopped now. Sara’s nose darkened as she blushed. Looking at those that were now staring at her. Damnit! She hated being the center of attention. “So you’ve still got a problem with me.” Sara’s tail flicked. “you want to take this outside? Away from the business?”
Shade's gaze had traveled past the mutant group, but it quikly snapped back to them (along with everyhone else's eyes in the store). For some odd reason, the shadow mutant hastily rose to his feet. However, he soon had to duck to avoid a chair that had missed its make. It smashed into the wall behind him, shattering into pieces. Shade took a glance at the pile before uttering a grunt and turning back to watch the "cat-fight" that was underway. A smile curled across Shade's lips at the thought of predicted violence, and he cracked his knuckles in preparation in case he had to join the fight.
