The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Since Neena had left the job of recruiting had fallen on Streak and Sam. There were many new students around who seemed to find out a bit more about the X-Men than Streak like. Of course it was hard to keep it was hard to keep things quiet with so many were around and already knew about them. It wasn't hard to know about them mainly because of the announcement a little earlier in the week. Streak had been spending more and more time in the Danger Room so that he could continue Neena's lesson's with as little interruption as possible.
Streak was working on a little upgrade for the Danger Room. It had taken him most of the day, with very little breaks in between. Shawn was inputting the last information into the computer when he heard the doors open. He didn't bother to look up because he figured it would just be Sam or some other X-Men here to practice. "I'm in here." Shawn said over the god mic. It happened a lot that other X-Men come in to practice. Shawn finally finished inputting the data and looked up to see who it was.
Standing in the hallways, Blake wonders where he should go next. Not seeing anything intresting, he decides to check out the training room. He takes out his map and looks on it "wait a second, I don't see any training room anywhere on this stupid map." Contineously asking people for help, he was rejected. "Uhmm, excuse me, sir, can you help me out, oh mam, sorry to..., hey there can you...., UGHH!" Next he walks up to someone who actually helps the frustrated, annoyed, and confused Blake. "Hey umm sir could you please help me, Im trying to find the training room" Wallrunner says looking at the uniformed man. Staring at Blake, the stranger says "sure no problem, follow me.
" Leading him down to the subbasments Blake looks in amazement. "Oh my god, this place is amazing!" He says while pressing his hand against the stainless steal, and the X marked logo's on the door. "K so just go down the hall and turn left, there should be someone in there who will help you out. Ask for Streak" says the stranger as he goes back up to the regular floors. "Kay, thanks alot dude" Blake says waving and continueing on his way. Following the man's direction, Wallrunner goes down the hall and turns left. Seeing no door knob, he walks forwards as it opens up in half. "Woah cool, this place is so high-tech" he says as he looks in circles, at the shining silver floors, and the shining silver walls.
Seeing a man there, he starts asking questions "umm, hi sir, I came down here to see the training rooms, a man who helped me out said to talk to somebody named Streak. Do you happen to know where he is?" looking at the young man, with the sinister looking smile in Blake's opinion. He waits for an answer. The end of his wandering throughout the mansion, and the start of his long test of strength, moral power, intellegents, and agility.

Shawn looked at the man who'd walked into the Danger Room. It was someone he didn't know. Must be a new student Sam greeted. 'Cause I've never seen him before. he thought as he looked over the guy. He was definitely older than Streak by quite a bit, although that wouldn't stop him from doing his job. The guy immediately started talking to Shawn, apparently not knowing who he was looking for or talking to. The guy seemed very hesitant or maybe even shy a little. "You're lookin' at 'im." Shawn said. "What can I help ya with man?"
Streak didn't know anything about this guy or his powers. "I'm Shawn, though most people call me Streak. What's your name?" The silver man said to him. It was important that he find out as much about this guy as he could. If there was one reason he was there it was because he either needed help with his mutation practice or he was looking for a way into the X-Men. Either was a possible solution to why the man was here.
(Sorry that took awhile Streak, already explained tho)
"So your Streak, kay." Walking towards the nearest wall, he leaned against it and told Silver Streak more about himself. "Well, my name is Blake Harolds, I was looking for the training facility and someone brought me here," he said refering to the mutant who helped him down here. "I got to the mansion a short while ago, and i was looking for a job, maybe as an X-man," he said hoping that this man could help him. Sticking his hands in his pockets, he told Shawn as much as he possibly could, hopefully this would give him a chance to become an X-man.
"Don't know if you need to know much about me but well, Im an earth manipulator, born in Montreal, moved to LA, I used my powers for years to stop criminals in Los Angeles, and I don't know what else to say." Staring at the younger man, he thought he might as well bring something up, but had no Idea what to talk about. Deciding to show off his abilities a bit, he put his gym bag sized backpack, on the floor and unzipped the top. After unzipping the rest of the pockets to reveal a massive amount of dirt, he flipped the bag over pouring it all over the floor.
He moved his hands around in certain hand motions, and turned the pile of dirt into 2 stools. Wallrunner pushed one of the stools towards Silver Streak and offered him a seat, "you look tired, take a seat," as Blake sat on one of the chairs. "So whats your power?" He questioned Shawn while moving his fingers manipulating the extra dirt back into pockets of the bag. Finished with the dirt, he looked at Silver Streak waiting for a reply, hopefully this man could help Blake Harold's achieve what he wants so badly.

Streak listened to the Blake talk. All this was interesting. He was a regular, typical crime fighter with high aspirations to join the world famous X-Men. Not that he could blame him, after all Streak had some of the same dreams when he first arrived. However, he soon realized that those dreams were high lived and he needed to wait a little before he could join. Once Blake was finished talking Streak said. "So you want to be an X-Man huh? Well I have to warn you than that the X-Men doesn't pay so you should may need to look elsewhere for monetary funds." Streak began. If he's only been here a while, then I'll need to get someone in here at the mansion who's lived here longer than him to verify his good deeds.
This wasn't a casual conversation. It was going to be run more like an interview for a job because that's basically what it was. The little display of power was impressive, however if he needed dirt to work his mutation then he might have more trouble proving himself worthy of being and X-Men than he may think. "Why don't we start with the basic questions." Shawn began. He racked his brain to try and remember some of the things that Neena had asked him when he was doing his "tryout" to get into the X-Men. "Why do you want to be an X-Men? What do you imagine the X-Men to stand for?"
Sweating a little bit, thinking about the incident, with Cold Steel and Leila, he thought he should tell Silver Streak about his 'bad deed' early on. In his brain, Blake told himself maybe I should tell him, maybe he'll respect the honesty, or maybe I'll get kicked out. Staring at Streak, he confessed 'kay, well right off the bat, I have to be honest. I did a bad thing when I first came here," looking at Shawn, he continued. "I broke into Sam's room, I didn't mean to, I was just so curious, it was my first time inside the mansion. I new it was a wrong thing to do, and I'm trying to fix it," he told Streak with an emberessed, yet releaved expression on his face. "I did a wrong thing, and I really want to prove myself as a good person, but anyways on with the interview," the older aged earth manipulator said.
Listening to Streak's first question, Blake replied "why do I want to be an X-men? Simple, the X-men help people, I want to help people, I want to be a good guy." Thinking about his disasterous father, Wallrunner continued, "I don't want to get into the details, but simply, I need to prove to myself and others I'm a good person, I don't want to be like my father, and I want others like Sam and Leila to trust, and believe in me after the incident," he said refering to when he 'broke into' Cold Steel's bedroom. "I wanted to be an X-men, because I wanted to be in an area, where there are others like myself, that could help me advance with my abilities."
After thinking about Silver's second question, about what Blake thinks that the X-men stand for, his next words were "the X-men? Simple, the X-men stand for justice, they protected humans and mutants alike, whether they are anti-mutants, or evil mutants. The X-men protect everyone alike." Staring at Streak, Blake asked him a question, "you do enjoy helping people right? The only reason I left my old crime fighting life was because here, we have more dangerous criminals, and people that could help me hone my powers."
Putting his hands in his pockets, he glanced at a picture of his mother for a moment, and then put it away. "Streak, tell me, I know the X-men help all alike, good or bad, so do I, but tell me, has there ever been a moment in your life, that you just wanted to tear someone apart, with no remorse?" Breathing in and out deeply once, he told Streak "I do, but I can control myself, but I need more control, can you help me?"

The earth manipulator was striking out left and right in Streak's opinion. He kept his expressions as neutral as he could as he listened to Blake explain himself to Streak.
"I broke into Sam's room, I didn't mean to, I was just so curious, it was my first time inside the mansion. I new it was a wrong thing to do, and I'm trying to fix it," "I did a wrong thing, and I really want to prove myself as a good person, but anyways on with the interview," Shawn was impressed with his honesty especially since he brought the subject up himself and without any prompting. Blake continued to talk, now answering his questions.
"why do I want to be an X-men? Simple, the X-men help people, I want to help people, I want to be a good guy." "I don't want to get into the details, but simply, I need to prove to myself and others I'm a good person, I don't want to be like my father, and I want others like Sam and Leila to trust, and believe in me after the incident," "I wanted to be an X-men, because I wanted to be in an area, where there are others like myself, that could help me advance with my abilities."
Finally it was Streak's turn to talk. In Streaks opinion this guy wasn't handling the interview to well and he was going to point that out to the earth manipulator. "First of all let me just say that being an X-Men doesn't automatically make you a good guy. Granted most are, but are but not all are "good people". You don't have to go into details if you don't want to. Secondly, being an X-Men doesn't absolve you from anything in your past. Believe me, probably every one in the X-Men has a not so nice past. Even me. There are some things that I've done that in different circumstances would probably get me kicked out of X-Men. But that is for neither here nor ther and I digress." Streak was going to address everything that Blake was saying individually so that things didn't get confused in translation. "Also, you don't have to be part of the X-Men to get our help with your powers."
"the X-men? Simple, the X-men stand for justice, they protected humans and mutants alike, whether they are anti-mutants, or evil mutants. The X-men protect everyone alike." "you do enjoy helping people right? The only reason I left my old crime fighting life was because here, we have more dangerous criminals, and people that could help me hone my powers."
Shawn nodded at his answer about the X-Men. "Of course I enjoy helping people. Do you really think I would live at this school if I didn't?"
"Streak, tell me, I know the X-men help all alike, good or bad, so do I, but tell me, has there ever been a moment in your life, that you just wanted to tear someone apart, with no remorse?" "I do, but I can control myself, but I need more control, can you help me?"
"All I'm going to say is that I plead the fifth on that because the answer to that is a subject, like I said earlier, is for neither here nor there. Ya we can help you with control but you don't have to be part of the X-Men to get our help."
"Hahaha, yeah sorry about that. Whenever I have something that reminds me about my past, I sorta blurt it out. Forgive me for that," Blake tells Streak, you could tell that the earth manipulator was emberresed from the expression on his face, and the weird way he smiled.
Ya we can help you with control but you don't have to be part of the X-Men to get our help.
"Oh ofcourse I know that, at first I was actually looking to become a teacher in self defence, or just learn to control my powers, but now that I have made so many people mad at me, I want a closer chance to work side by side with them," he said thinking about Sam and Leila." "Hahaha sorry again, anyways I really think I could learn alot working here as an X-man, and I think that working side by side with other mutants like myself, in a field operation, is something I would really like to experience," he told Shawn. Being able to sense that he wasn't really nailing this interview 100 percent, he said some things hoping it would stay on topic.
Blake did his best to keep his best to keep a cool head, and not blurt out anything that might ruin his one chance to become part of the very thing that those who hate him were. Thinking about this, it sounded so crazy in his head, but he knew that this is what he wanted.
Staring at Silver Streak, a small sweat drop rushed down the side of his head, slowly reaching his chin, "drip, drip" it roared as it crushed onto the ground. "Keep calm Blake, why is this such a big deal, maybe because this is the one thing you want more then anything else in the world," he told himself as the sound of the sweat dropped amplified in his head ten-fold. "So Silver Streak, shall we continue on with our interview, I think it's about your time to talk," Blake said calmy while feeling nervous.

Streak shook his head. He had to end this now before Blake said something that would that permanently ruin his chance of joining the X-Men team. "Look man. First of all I want to say that I'm glad you showed interest in joining the team. However, I think you should wait until you get better situated in the mansion, gain more friends, fix some of your already bad relationships. Ya know just get get an overall good repertoire going with most of the people in the mansion." He kept a smile on his face as he said this. It wasn't that he wanted to give the impression that he was enjoying not letting him continue with the interview but he wanted to make sure Blake understood things and that he wasn't upset with him at all.
"Also I want to to know that this does not mean that you can never join the team. I'm just saying maybe at a later date." Streak told him. "Thanks for coming but I think it's best if you try again at a later date after you've had more training. Now if you'll excuse me I have a lot of work that needs to be finished." He said the last sentence as he stood up and held out his hand for a good bye shake.
