Character
Personality: Tait is usually a very calm person. Although it is very easy for you to play with his emotions, whether it be getting him excited or making him upset, either way it is usually easy to do unless he is purposely practicing self control. He was rather popular at his high school, only for the fact that he usually respects and is kind to those who do the same to him. His temper is something he is definitely known for, and his “hunger” for the use of his power does not help him with that. Overall he is kind, but getting on his bad side could definitely prove to be bad for his health and the others around him. Hobbies/ Interests: Played rugby in high school. Job or part time job and description: N/A Fears/ phobias/ concerns: He is very protective of his family and friends and is very careful to keep them safe at all times. Special talents:
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral, but is easily persuaded, and has a somewhat “dark side” if you were to call it that.
Mutations
Mutation description: Tait can use the nerves in his central nervous system to use any part of his body with nerves(mainly muscles) in it to manipulate the gravitational force that is exerted on a specific object or objects(usually not more than 2, and if so it causes him great fatigue) His power ranges from about 10 to 30 feet, depending on what the object is. For example, if it is very heavy he must be closer to it and if it is lighter he can do it from further away. Strengths: Can easily slow things by increasing gravitational pull on them, can crush things with sheer force, uses a lot of his muscular strength to use his power which is why he makes sure to keep in shape by practicing his powers or training his body. Weaknesses: Becomes fatigued quickly as he used his muscles and the nerves in them to use his powers, and he becomes fatigued as if he were lifting weights. His fatigue depends on how much he stresses his muscles. Muscle relaxants affect his power greatly being as he cannot use them as effectively due to the effects they have on his muscles.
Fighting Style
Explanation: Tait fights with vigor and tenacity, but his emotions are definitely involved whenever he is in a fight and although he uses his powers very frequently, he lets up most of the time due to his feelings Pros for fighting style: When he really does want to hurt or subdue the person or thing he is fighting he rages until there is no fight left in him. Cons for fighting style: If it is a fight that he feels in immoral, he does not fight as hard and lets his emotions take over sometimes.

History Of Your Character: Please write the history of your character and explain when they discovered (if applicable) their power(s).
Tait was born and raised on the coast of Taree, Australia in 1989. His parents Jane and Wyatt were also mutants who both had powers as well. Wyatt was a master of telekinesis, learning about his powers when he was very young and practiced them in secret as much as he could. He quickly learned to move larger and larger things and then began to learn different aspects of his ability. His mother Jane was able to manifest fire. She was not nearly as powerful as Wyatt, as she only had an okay control over her power.
Being as Tait was the son of the two mutants it was inevitable that he would also acquire the X gene. His father was very quick to uncover his son’s power made sure that he kept his son well practiced with it so he could one day become a great mutant like himself. All his life Tait was schooled like a normal child, but was put through extensive training in his home on the cliffs above the Australian coast.
Once Tait reached high school he grew apart from his parents more and more. But it was somewhat good for him being as he was a very sheltered child and he began to extend himself to the world. He decided to join the schools rugby team and quickly learned the complicated game. His powers gave him an edge on the competition, being as he had been trained by his father from a young age he could easily lessen the gravity on other players that attempted to tackle him, but only on one at a time. This was perfect for him, he excelled at a popular sport, got to practice his powers and it helped him make friends in a new atmosphere.
As Tait reached his graduation, his powers had become very advanced. He had begun to train again which he hadn’t done since he started high school. He found that his training program had become much easier being as he had been using his powers in a very fast paced atmosphere and had learned to control two objects rather easily and sometimes 3 but only for a very short period of time. He began to increase his training regiment frequency and intensity. This training granted Tait great control over his powers, almost too much control
Tait began to use his powers more openly now not caring if humans saw him or even if other mutants saw him, his hunger to use the power in everyday life began to consume him. His father saw this hunger and began to work with Tait again, becoming closer to his son once again.
Tait and Wyatt would train for most of the day on weekends and Tait would practice his abilities during his rugby practices during the week. It wasn’t until one of Tait’s last games as a senior in high school did his overwhelming struggle within himself got the best of him.
Tait’s father had made a huge improvement in trying to help Tait suppress the urge to use his power whenever he wanted, he even had him stop using it in his rugby practices from time to time. But the last game of his senior year was against their cross town rival.. It was a very anticipated match, due to the fact that the two best players in Eastern Australia were pitted up against each other. During the game this rivalry became personal, to two players in particular, Tait Creed and his rival in the sport Jimmy Lovenhal.
During one of the plays of the game Tait was quickly moving the ball up the field by avoiding tackles here and there and eventually broke out into the open with only one defender to beat, Lovenhal. Knowing that he should give the ball up Tait decided that he was going to take it himself. He tensed all the muscles in his body as he prepared for the impact with the 6’2” 210 pound player. As the two collided something very unexpected happened. Jimmy Lovenhal was sent flying into the air as if he carried no weight at all, as Tait charged straight through him. Then it seemed as if Lovenhal was sent crashing into the dirt by an unseen force. It had been Tait using his powers.
He had tensed his muscles up enough to activate his power and lighten Jimmy so that he could easily push through him, then returned him to his normal weight as he flew through the air. Tait had scored, but no one was paying much attention to that. The attention was focused on the mangled body of Jimmy Lovenhal. He lay on the ground, his leg contorted in a way that made one cringe just to look at, while he had a gash on his forehead from the impact it had with the ground. Although many of the fans and players may not have realized it, Tait did, and more importantly so did his father.
Wyatt Creed had a very low tolerance for the use of powers on helpless individuals and Tait knew this. His punishment was to send Tait to a mutant boarding school, as he described it. It was in New York , and Tait was leaving within the next few days.
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: I saw an ad on an old X-Men site I used to be on. Do you have any other existing characters, if so who: None Sample RP:
[Based during one of Tait’s last counterattacks before he was discovered by his father.]
((This is all happening in the future, but understand that Tait’s character is not in the future yet.))
Tait stood waiting impatiently at the docks waiting for his assigned partner. The Agency, which is what they called their resistance, would never tell them who they were being assigned with. Usually it was someone he knew, being as he helped to form the rather young group and had been a major part in the recruitment of new talent. As he waited he pulled his hood over his head as the wind blew a bit and made the chains holding some of the boats together rattle. His hazel orbs scanned the area constantly in wait of his arrival of his companion, but also in somewhat of paranoia as he was carrying out this mission at night where if he was spotted it would be much more suspicious. He let out a drawn out sigh, he shuffled his feet on the ground a bit to stay a little warmer as he watched his breath escape from his lips.
Hearing footsteps approaching Tait turned wildly his palms held open as he waiting for the approaching individual to reveal themselves. A crooked smile curled upon his lips as he let his arms rest at his sides once again, seeing who the man was. “A lit’le late are we, mate?” Tait spoke into the open his Australian accent as thick as ever. The man who approached was Brock Valentin, Tait’s stranded friend from San Diego , California .
“Looks like you’re a little early, my friend.” Brock said as he tapped his knuckles on his wristwatch, with a cheeky grin spread across his face. He brushed a lock of sun bleached hair out of his face as he walked closer to shake his friend Tait’s hand. The 21 year old mutant had been traveling throughout Australia , surfing large surf spots and searching for work. Then the virus was released and he was stuck in the country for a short period of time, forced to defend himself. When flights were available out of the country he had already become a member of the Agency and decided he was going to stay and help the country regain balance.
“Now what is the assignment?” Tait asked as Brock slowly pulled a small piece of paper out of his front pocket and read it to himself. He shook his head a bit the grin fading from his face. He looked somewhat troubled as he folded the paper back into his pocket and he looked back up at Tait. “Well come on, let me ‘ear it, ya dingo.” Tait said laughing a bit at what he had said them beginning to frown a bit as Brock looked down to the ground. “The assignment’s you…” Brock said with the flick of his wrist the mud around Tait’s feet began to engulf him, at first slowly then it quickly reached his shoulders. Brock then tightened his fist hardening the mud into rock around Tait’s body.
“This is a joke, roight? You’re goin’ ta let me outta ‘ere, aren’t ya?” Tait said with a scowl on his face as he knew it wasn’t a joke and that his friend had betrayed him. Or had he?
Brock shook his head as he began to walk away and then slowly fell to his knees as in the air around him had become heavier on his body. His eyes widened as he realized what was happening when he was forced down onto all fours by an overwhelming weight. The muscles Tait had been using in his forehead had enough nerve endings in them to slowly bring Brock down to the ground. Although it was a very weak force, being as Tait derived most of his power from his arms, which had been currently immobilized. “You thought I’d go quoietly ‘in’t chya? Not a chance, mate.” Tait said now grinning watching as Brock struggled to stay up.
“It wasn’t…. an Agency assignment. You… were set up.” Brock said struggling to get the words out as he could barely hold himself up. “It was your fa…” He began to speak as he was cut off when his arms gave out and he collapsed to the floor. “Stop… You’re… Crushing me…” The words slowly escaped his lips with barely any life in them.
Another voice was heard as footsteps approached and a rather large man with short gray hair made his way into view from the shadows. “Not set up, my boy. Being protected.” Wyatt said as Tait’s father was revealed to him. “Whatdya think you’re doing, pops!? Lockin’ me up loike this!” Tait screamed at him as he tried to become free from his stone prison. “I’m protecting you, not only was your identity revealed to myself and the others, but it was revealed to the humans also. The humans that would stop at NOTHING to kill you. So I’m protecting you.”
Tait went silent as he released his grip upon Brock. “So… I’m puttin’ everyone in jeopardy?” Tait said looking to the ground. He still struggled to get free from his prison as rage built up inside of him. “It would be better if you left. Your colleagues and your family would be in more danger knowing that you are with us. You have to go.” Wyatt said in a fatherly voice as he stepped closer to Tait extending his fingers out tearing the rocky prison from around him.
Tait stepped out of the remaining rubble to help Brock up. “Sorry ‘bout that mate.” Tait said with a wiry smile as he looked to Brock, receiving a nod and smile from him. “Where do I need ta go?” Tait said as he began to walk off.
“The United States , I want you to enroll in a school for mutants.” Wyatt said to him hoping that his son would agree with his decision. He folded his arms across his chest as he waited for his son’s reaction and response.
“I’ll go, but your crazy if you think I’m joinin’ a crummy school out the’e” Tait said now knowing what he must do to protect his family and friends. He had basically been a terrorist in Australia , although he believed he was justified in the fact that he was doing to in response to the human attack. Off to New York it was…
