The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Mutations
Mutation description: Alex is capable of amplifying the electric signals in his brain and channeling them through his optic nerves. When he activates his powers, his eyes begin to spark. Using these signals, he can reach out and move things telekinetically. The sparks have roughly the same shock potential as your average static shock. Alex is also capable of channeling the electric signals through other nerves, though it hurts to use any other nerves besides the optical ones. The amplification of the electric signals also causes Alex to think faster, and sharpens his eye-sight, though only temporarily. Strengths: Alex is capable of moving multiple objects, and his faster thinking allows him to react faster than normal. Weaknesses: After using his powers, Alex has a slight headache due to his powers burning at his neurons. No lasting damage is suffered, but it still hurts. His control over the telekinetics is also shaky.
Fighting Style
Explanation: Alex trys not to fight physically if he can. He tends to use his powers to attack the opponent, shocking them to drop weapons or pulling their feet out from under them. Pros for fighting style: Alex has less chance of being physically injured. Cons for fighting style: If they get in close, Alex has very little chance of beating them hand to hand.
Faction Allegiance Unaffiliated
History Of Your Character: Alex was born in Richmond to two non-mutants. He was born, while not blind, with very bad vision, and the doctors could not find what was wrong with his sight. Alex grew up normally. He had no brothers or sisters. When Alex was eight, his family moved to New York. His father was a minor stock broker, and was trying to break into some higher business. Alex was not particularly upset by the move, due to the fact that he was often teased about his almost milky-white eyes. When Alex was thirteen, he awakened his powers. Alex was sitting at home watching TV when the lights went out. Alex, who's fear of being blind started at the age of six, panicked. His powers activated, a bolt of lightning shot form his eyes and blew apart the TV. At that point, Alex's eyes became their current, pale purple color. Alex's parents passed off the TV exploding as a result of the electric surge, but eventually, Alex came forth and told them about his mutation. His father was wary, but his mother, who had studied for a time to try and become a sugeon, was facinated. They kept his mutation secret. Alex has passed off his eye color to his boss as an "unfortunate result" of an attempt to fix his vision. His boss is skeptical, but has accepted Alex's explination.
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: Hogwarts Dreams affiliation Do you have any other existing characters, if so who: No Sample RP: Alex sat on his couch, staring at his TV. He was home alone, and neither of his parents were planning on returning until later that night. Alex had the house to himself and was planning on enjoying it, even if he couldn't really bring over any friends. Alex was currently watching one of his dad's old Japanese monster movies, and was throwing popcorn at the screen whenever the "evil" monster showed up. His family's cat was sniffing at the popcorn, and occasionally grabbed a piece and ran off to eat it in private. The good monster had just knocked the evil one into the water, when the TV flickered. Alex blinked, but shrugged. The tape was pretty old. About four seconds later, the TV flickered several times in a row. The lights joined it after about three flickers, and then they all cut out. Alex sat in shock on the couch, his entire body stiffening. He blinked, desperatly hoping that the lights would flicker back on when he reopened his eyes. Nothing. Alex began to hyperventalate. He was blind. He had gone blind. His mind seemed to be whirling. He felt dizzy, his eyes were burning. 'Oh my God,' he thought desperately. 'What if I really have gone blind? What if the lights are still on, but I just can't see them?' In his panic, he didn't realize that he no longer could hear the TV, indicating that the TV had indeed cut out. Alex felt something crackle in his head as he gulped for air. Suddenly, everything seemed to turn white for a second, before a loud boom filled the room. Alex jerked at the sudden noise, and then fell over on the couch, slipping into unconsiousness. Alex awoke thirty minutes later to find that the lights had turned back on. The TV, however, featured a rather large hole in the center of it, with smouldering electronic parts visible within. Alex stared at the TV. Could that have been what caused the explosion? Alex got up and edged out of the room, rubbing his eyes. They still were burning slightly, and Alex had a mild headache. Alex headed up to the bathroom to see what was wrong with his eyes. Alex turned on the light in the bathroom and glanced in the mirror. He shouted in shock as he caught sight of his eyes. Both of them were now a pale purple color, though no pupil was visible. Alex leaned into the mirror to get a better look. He squinted, trying to get his eyes to focus, when suddenly a wave of sparks seemed to dart across his eyes, his vision sharpening as they went. Alex leapt back, and a spark shot out from his left eye, hit the mirror, and fizzled, leaving no mark. Alex stared at himself, gaping. What had happened to him, and, more importantly, how was he going to explain it to his parents?

I assume this is where I post my attribute points.
Physical Strength: 4 (He is on the weak side of a normal human.) Agility: 6 (He is on the high side of a normal human.) Mental Strength (Teleknisis): 12 (He can pick up a dumpster with effort.) Stealth: 5 (His stealth is average) Senses: 7 (When his mutation is active, his sight is sharpened, and he can sense when his "mind lightning" hits something.) Mutated Strength: Inapp. (All his powers fit into the above.) Mutated Control: 5 (He has basic control, though his control drops to around 2 if he is blinded.) Good/Evil: +1 (Alex has taken a stance of, "Don't hurt me, I wont hurt you," meaning that he he is largely nuetral, though he will help out people if he feels it won't harm him.)
Actually, we have an official place where the mods keep track of your attribute profiles for you, all official like. (Though it helps to have the explanations you have listed here for how strong each area is!) I've posted an official profile for you with the attributes you have posted here. If you need to make changes, just email mutantrevolver@yahoo.com, and the first available mod will make changes to your official profile.
Anyway, welcome to MRO!
If you put this code in your signature, people will be able to find your character profile very easily!
Very interesting power, Brainstorm, and a very nice Sample RPG--I kind of have that "what if I go blind" phobia in real life, so it's safe to say I'm an instant sympathetic to your character.
