The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Bacchus paused his lumbering to the people that were making the entire racket he looked around for a second and then beefed up a bit making himself larger and denser and began to run again. “No lights no problem, Pain train runs all night long!” called Bacchus as he continued to run only to veer off slightly from the holes that he created, which didn’t matter to much, the collar still gave a small jolt as the walls gave off a little electricity to his neck but nothing unbearable as of now but if he had to break through all the walls in the dark it was going to be a problem. Bacchus’s ears could no longer pick up on the others as he plowed through each wall getting closer to where the female was standing. ‘This is getting annoying.’
Bacchus dug his heels into the ground as he looked around in the dark and called out to the spectator…his spectator. “Ohi asshole, turn the light on so I can win your money and get the hell up out of here!” Boomed the voice as it echoed through the building. Bacchus waited for an answer to come with no luck he sat in the dark for a few minutes waiting. Bacchus’s necked twitched as he could feel the rage from his spectator as the collar hummed as electricity shot through it giving a small blue glow around Bacchus, “YYYYOOOOUUUUUU PPPPRRRRRIIIIICCCCCKKKKK!” the electricity kept coming and then died down until it disappeared small dim lights began to turn on throughout the maze as Bacchus looked up to the ceiling. Dim flood lights filled the sky as Bacchus grinned, ‘not as low as I thought it was…’ Bacchus stood up and brushed the dirt and rubble off his pants and then looked tough his hole to see a girl that looked like a cat. Bacchus grinned as he walked through the hole in the wall and said, “Hello there Sheila!”

Lights were out, so that was actually a good thing, Sara thought to herself as she investigated her area. There wasn’t exactly a way she could see where the traps were, but she started edging her way back and forth, focusing on her other senses, the smell of the other competitors, and how many had passed where she was walking. The touch of air on her fur, and if the air currents sped up in different areas, The touch of uneaven tiles that could clue her in on when to jump for cover, because of the traps. Then there was sound. Sound wasn’t as good as you would think seeing as she had other combatants to listen to that were making quite a bit of noice.
“YYYYOOOOUUUUUU PPPPRRRRRIIIIICCCCCKKKKK!”
Sara’s ears flicked back as the voice was loud enough, and she’d been focusing on listening to the walls hard enough, that the exclamation felt like it bashed her in the sides of the head. Making her hands clap over her ears, that tried t pin out the noise.
Ok forward. The lights flickered, and finally settled on a dim flow of natural light. Hmmmm…… Glancing up, Sara edged her way down the hall, till she reached a part where there was a pipe near the ceiling. She hopped up, and grabbed a hold of the metal, using it like a bar. Dangling from her hand, She flipped her feet up, so that she could brace them against the ceiling. Steadying herself, and giving herself good footing should she have to move. Making it look very much like she was kneeling upside down.
Sara leaned close to the ceiling, her longer hair swaying with her movement. She was trying to measure exactly how low the maze was, should she not make it to the finish line first. She was getting out.
“Hello there Sheila!”
Sara glanced sideways, out of the corner of her eye, noticing the big man there, but her attention swiveled back to the light. Could she see above and across the maze walls if she turned her head right?
Wait. There was a big man there, addressing her… Sara did a double take. “Awe Crap.” Her shoulders slumped as she felt her the pressure stabilizing her, move to the balls of her feet. “Good night big guy.”
Sara clutched the pipe, using that as a pivot point, as her feet kicked away from the ceiling. Her lower body whipped around, making a circular motion down at and angle away from the wall, then angling back up, and trying to land a kick at the temple of the big guy’s head. Trying to combine the swinging motion of her weight with the speed and strength she had from pushing off of the ceiling, while holding onto the bar.
Chris continued on his way away from the cat lady. He was surprised when they turned on some dim lights so quickly after Fission had used his EMP. They musht have been reaedy for it. His thoughts were interrupted by a loud yell. The yell was loud enough to sound like it was said over a megaphone or speakers. There was also a loud crashing noises that echoed for a while in this maze they were in. He could only assume that it was from the mutant that had sent the giant spike through the walls, nearly killing Fission.
Fission looked back, like he was expecting to see someone. Of couse course there was no one there. He blinked a few times, expecting to see someone walk around the corner, when he saw two figures. Or they at least looked like human figures. One however was hanging upside down while the other was huge. They gave off different hues of reds, oranges, yellows, and many other parts of the light. Chris briefley remembered skimming over this in the library a few weeks ago. Since he still didn't know the extent of his powers he spent much of his time reading up on radiation and it different uses. He had read once about radiation in infrared. I must be seeing through infrared. Cool. Since he was not used to seeing this way he had a hard time to make out what was going on with the two. After a few secods his vision returned to normal and he had to resort to continuing on his way towards where he hoped was the center.

Bacchus smiled as the giant kitty did an interesting trick as she jumped up and grabbed onto a pipe and then did some acrobatics resulting in a kick coming from Bacchus, Bacchus grinned as he was slightly bigger than his usual which meant one thing he wasn’t going to get hurt. Bacchus braced for the impact as he felt something happening, “Shit…” Bacchus felt his powers deactivate on their own as his body shrunk to it’s normal size so fast he had no time to land or brace for impact as the ‘Human cat’ kicked him in the shoulder. Bacchus was lucky if his powers didn’t throw him off balance when they deactivated he would have taken the shot to the head. Bacchus felt a pop as he flew through the hole in the wall he made just moments before. ‘Dislocated shoulder…’ thought Bacchus as he bounced and rolled a little down another hallway.
Bacchus stood up slightly dazed as he yelled out preemptively as he grabbed his dislocated shoulder and relocated it in place. Bacchus’s arm slowly stopped hurting but as Bacchus started walking back to the giant walking cat he felt the ground shake slightly as the ground opened up like it did before as he fell down he saw a pit of water as he crashed into it he smiled….”oh thank god I thought this would have been bad…” just then Bacchus saw something familiar in the water…”Ah shit…” Bacchus was face to face with a crocodile as the ceiling shut on him leaving him into darkness….

Sara grinned as her foot sort of found it’s mark. She was aiming for the big man’s head but the shoulder was just as good. By the way it felt, and the way he sounded she dislocated the joint.
Sara landed on her hands, after connecting, watching he A-mazing opponent, flew back through one of the holes he had just created. Sara peaked her around the hole, in time to see the giant man getting up. Her ears pinned when he yelled and his shoulder was popped back into place, but that wasn’t a bad thing. She just knocked him down. That meant even though he mowed down the walls, he wasn’t unbeatable.
Then he fell through the floor, into a hole, and Sara barked out a laugh. Yet again, she peaked in a second hole the big guy had disappeared in. giving him a little finger wave from above, before is closed completely. “Ta, Big guy. Hope you can swim.” She teased before the doors closed completely.
Ok so now it was her turn to get going. She leapt over the space where the big guy fell, Her feet thumping down on the other side, skidding, and she was off running in a new direction.
One of the floor tiles Sara put her weight on sank, a hidden button. Sara leaned back, as her feet slid on the floor, and she scrambled backwards. A gate crashed down right in front of her. Spikes on the bottom, driving themselves straight into the floor. Blocking her way. The sound of gears, ground to life, as the spiked wall started moving back towards the feline, and she was forced backwards, where she had just come from.
It wasn't to hear all the yelling that was going on not to far away from him. He continued on his way taking turn after turn fairly quickly. After one turn the flooring had changed from smoth concrete to tiled brick. Chris didn't think anything of it , since he hadn't run into any traps yet, he began to walk across it at the same speed he had before. He stepped on a brick that seemed lower than the rest. It sank low and continued to sink. The noise alerted Fission, who stopped walking and listened for noises that didn't fit.
The noise he heard reminded him of something out of one of the Indiana Jones movies. He looked around to see holes appearing in the walls. Suddenly these holes started to fire small darts across the expanse of the hall. Chris did what anyone would have done...Run. He ran as fast as he could, trying to dodge the darts as best he could. He couldn't tell if he was hit or not because Chris was so focuse don running away and into a different area of the maze.
Finally Chris rounded the corner to on the long hall. "Perhaps a little to Indiana Jones style" he said as he picked the darts out of his skin. Chris was bleeding a little from the wounds, which meant that he was leaking radiation. The amount of radiation that was seeping out didn't seem like it would affect anyone. Surprisingly enough he he was very close to where the feline was. In fact, he could see her just a little ways away. He made his way towards her and noticed that there was a wall full of spikes making her back up.

Bacchus had a devilish grin as a few floodlights went on in a big underground cavern where he fell. He smiled as he saw the area off to the side covered in crocodiles. Bacchus sighed for them as they saw a meal, “turns out there are crocs in the sewers, the tabloids were right…” Bacchus noticed that a few crocs were slowly approaching him a circle… “Poor bastards when I get out of here and if I didn’t kill all of you… I’ll try to get you out of here…” Bacchus tried to activate his growing powers with no luck, “Shit not now… why do you work when I want you to but when I need you to you screw the pooch and get all wancky…” Bacchus’s felt his weight grow slightly as that familiar feeling meaning his skin was thickening. Bacchus grinned a sad grin, as he was about to kill some of them so he could live. Humans were easy to kill without an after thought, they were the most dangerous beasts on earth and Bacchus had always been sensitive to animals since he was little. So saving his life so they could die made it all the tougher…’think bout Gunner Erica and the others…’
Bacchus caught the first croc on his right wrist as he felt the power of the jaw almost crush threw his thicken skin, “not quite up to strength yet but I think it will do…” said Bacchus as he grabbed the crocs top jaw and quickly gave it a side ways tug separating it from it’s head and killing it instantly. A tear stricken down his face as he felt the life and warmth from the animal fade and disappear. One after another the tears fell as the crocs died, Bacchus wasn’t crying he was shedding tears because they couldn’t. Bacchus finished off at least thirty of them as the crocs began to get the idea and go for their now deceased comrades.
Sighing Bacchus grew to his 20 foot self and started pushing on the ceiling that was now trying to keep it’s self shut with no luck. Bacchus’s voiced boomed and echoed in the cavern they were in as he said, “That ought to hold you for a while…” Bacchus felt a slight vibration around his neck as he let out a large roar that felt like it shook the very foundation of the maze. The collar was shocking him again as it flew threw every nerve around the neck. Bacchus had enough of this he was going to straight up murder this remote guy…
Bacchus continued to roar like thunder as he punched threw the closed-door ceiling and began to pull him self out with one hand. Distributing his weight he pulled himself out with ease as he felt something tingle in his land down under… “Think I got crocs…” winched Bacchus as he felt at least to crocodiles scratching around in his pants…’I’ll save them for later I think I have just the meal for em…’ thought Bacchus as he was now trying to resist the pain sensation in his neck.

The wall kept coming, and at first, Sara was just backing up. Hoping to see the wall stop at one point but that wasn’t what the moving wall was doing at all. No, It just kept coming in it’s ominous self. And the thing was speeding up.
Sara kept the distance between the wall and herself, the same but her walking backwards sped up as well. Moving into a light trot, where her toes shuffled the ground. The wall jerked forward, and three of it’s spikes found her shoulder, stomach, and thigh, making her call out, and jump back even faster. Her tail caught between her ankles and Sara fell backwards on her palms and butt. Scooting and twisting, and scrambling, to get back up, and run again, before the wall stabbed her again.
Sara saw the boy she punched earlier. He was at the end of the hall but her plan wasn’t to reach him. She wanted to reach the holes in the walls that the big guy had made. Not only was that unplanned, for the traps, but that was much closer. Just as she was nearing that hole, guess who decides to play Jack in the box.
Big guy’s appearance surprised Sara and when his hand came down in her path, to push himself out of the hole, a hole that must have seemed a lot smaller to him now, Sara nearly tripped on his fingers. Her tail shifted, and she caught her balance, before she put a foot down on the back of his hand, and started to run up his arm. Aiming to get over his shoulder. That rose quicker than she expected, and she ended up leaning forward, to try and grab his ear to pull herself over, so that she could slide down his back. Planning on landing on the floor, and hopping through the hole in the wall, maid by said giant, to what Sara was hoping would be safe.
Chris wathced the events unfold in front of him. The feline seemed to be avoiding something, since she was backing up. Then he finally saw what he'd only seen using his powers. He saw a giant person climbing out of the ground. The feline seemed to try and climb up the giants arm so that she could continue running away from whatever it was she was running away from. Chris decided to join in the fun that those two seemed to be having.
The radiation mutant ran towards the giant mutant and the feline. It was obvious that the giant wasn't trying to hurt the feline. Personally he didn't care if he was or not since she had attacked him first although both seemed to be in a little trouble. Chris finally arrived in front of the giant as the feline was climbing up the arm. He looked in the direction of where she had been running from and saw a giant wall of spikes. "Whoa!" He exclaimed, backing up a step as the wall came closer to him.
Fission held out his hands in front of him and shot out the green beams at the wall. The wall slowed down but did not stop immediately so Fission continued to shoot the beams at the wall. As the wall slowed down the gears could be heard grinding against the resistance Fission was creating. It stopped only inches away from his hands. Since he was already leaking some radiation from the darts, most of which has dried up and covered the open wounds, the tiny pricks from the ends of the spikes didn't bother him much. After stopping the wall he lowered his arms and took a few deep breaths very winded. He backed up to give himself some space fro the giant, the wall, and the feline, and placed his hands on his knees. Fission hadn't used his powers this much since...Well, ever. If this kept up he would definitely have more control over his powers once he got to the end of the maze.

Bacchus roared some more as the collar kept buzzing around his neck and from hat he could tell the collar would be glowing slightly from the amount of electricity coming from it this really had to stop. Bacchus handed this feeling being someone’s pet, he was a stray here in America and he planed on keeping it that way. Bacchus noticed a spike wall stopping abruptly a short ways off in front of one of his opponents but Bacchus was more focused on the kitty that knocked him down the hole in the first place.
Bacchus thought about grabbing her but with his powers acting up and his distraction from the collar he decided against it. He didn’t want to kill a woman regardless if she was part cat. So instead Bacchus let her run across her shoulder as he pulled himself out and up onto the solid ground. Bacchus still stood at his full extent but felt it was necessary to keep it that way for as long as he could, less the Crocs would get way.
Bacchus yelled some more as he felt the collar increase the voltage but he was going to use this pain as motivation, “AGGGHHHHHH!!!!” Bacchus punched another wall as hard as he could clearing straight threw it. Bacchus then started to walk towards the new hole in the wall and crawled threw it. Bacchus then started to charge his way threw walls again feeling electricity be given off slightly with each pass threw the wall, “Where is that God D*** Key?!? I need to get this thing off!” yelled Bacchus as he grinned slightly threw the pain, he was already planning o what he was going to do to the men that put him in this messed up maze in the first place.

Sara cleared big guy’s shoulder, and was sliding while he was climing out. Her feet hit the floor and she spun around as the other maze acquaintance, aimed something at the wall she’d been running from. “Thanks.” She hollered back at him as big guy let out a yell. She tilted her head, and as he moved by her, she saw the problem. Why she didn’t see it climbing over his shoulder, she didn’t know, but there it was, and there he went, crashing through another wall. Wow he was strong…. How the heck did she really knock him back?
“Where is that God D*** Key?!? I need to get this thing off!”
Sara hopped over the hole, where a few crocs smiled up at her, from the water, and landed low on the other side. “Hey big guy! Humungo!” She followed him. Looking back at the other (Smaller mutant) as she disappeared through the newly punched hole. “Are you here against your will or have the fashion accessories from the mutant registration camps become part of the new grunge look?”
Her foot steps sped up and the feline darted around the side of the big guy, who could certainly move. She sidestepped and hopped so that she was half way up the wall, kicked off and rose to a set of pipes that hung down, where she grabbed those so that she was eye level with the giant. “If you get me out of here, I’ll remove that collar.” She said as she twisted her body so that she was hanging up side down, like before. “It takes a key, right? I don’t use keys. I can pick a lock.”
It took Chris longer to catch his breath than it normally did, although, he just attributed it to using his powers so much. In fact that was the truth. He was getting more and more tired as he used his powers. The two other mutants seemed to be in better shape then him.
“Where is that God D*** Key?!? I need to get this thing off!”
Both mutants started walking in one direction, leaving Chris behind to catch his breath. Since he didn't want to be left behind he sucked up how tired he was and ran after them. He quickly caught up to the feline as she talked to the giant.
“It takes a key, right? I don’t use keys. I can pick a lock.”
Chris didn't know what he could do to help. However, he did manage to stop the wall from impaling any of them. Maybe he was more powerful than he thought he was. The thoughts of how strong he could possibly get seemed to allow him to day dream and not think about what a horrible situation they were all in.

“Hey big guy! Humungo!”
Bacchus frowned not slowing, ‘She’s a girl, She’s a girl!’ thought Bacchus as he tried to ignore the names. He was mad and the names weren’t helping much. Not much at all.
“Are you here against your will or have the fashion accessories from the mutant registration camps become part of the new grunge look?”
Bacchus frowned a little more, “Yeah I’m in to the whole bondage thing and this shock collar it just gets me in the mood that much faster,” said Bacchus sarcastically as he continued to walk threw walls. In the next gap between the walls he stopped, as he became eye level with the cat.
“If you get me out of here, I’ll remove that collar.” “It takes a key, right? I don’t use keys. I can pick a lock.”
A large smile formed on Bacchus’s face as he stuck out his large finger to shake the woman’s hand, “Congrats Sheila you just hired a Aussie, Name’s Bacchus!” Bacchus then let out a roar as the shock collar started to go off more than ever blue sparks could be seen around his neck.
The roar echoed around him as it bounced off the ceiling and the pipes and the walls, if it wasn’t for the pain Bacchus would have felt bad for those with enhanced hearing. “Sheila if your going to take it off I suggest doing it now!” roared Bacchus as he punched threw a wall to make he feel better.
Ok so the big guy didn’t seem that fond of Sara’s names for him. At the moment she didn’t care. People called her names all the time, so it was good to get used to. The bargaining worked faster than Sara thought it would. Before she could even think about planning a second proposal to the big guy, he agreed and just as fast as he agreed, he was being electrocuted. Sara knew that feeling all too well and by helping the big guy out, she was about to feel it again.
Her ears pinned and she scooted her upside down body to the right so she could see the hole for the long piece again. Once she made contact it was going to be hard to aim for the hole so she had to hit her target. Her eyes squinted and her ears pinned back to try and block out the yelling. Her body coiled against the ceiling, and then like springs, she launched herself forward, to sink her right claw into the key hole. Her other arm wrapped around his shoulder to steady herself, and the current of electricity ran through her body.
Fighting the currents that made her entire body buck and buckle, Sara screamed as well. Ramming her claw in the key hole more forcefully than she really intended. She tried to ease the claw back a bit and the moment she felt the tip catch, in the lock, she lost the connection. Having to rework the technique while her body just wouldn’t listen to what she wanted it to go. She wanted to let go and heal, but she was scared. If the collar kept shocking him, and she had to start over, she didn’t know how well he could bounce back. She needed him, and she preyed that he kept his word about getting her out.
She rammed her claw back into the key hole, and felt the tip catch for the umpteenth time since she had landed on the big guy’s shoulders. Then there was a release and Sara felt the metal slipping free from the giant’s shoulders, Stupidly grabbing onto the collar for support, she found herself tumbling down to the ground. Her body twisted and she sort of landed upright. One knee down, then the other, and her upper body collapsed, onto her hands. Sucking in the air to try to recover. She found herself sort of facing the one who had stopped the wall. “Please don’t shoot me right now.” She panted.
Chris watched as the other two mutants worked together to get the collar off the big guy. The two seemed like they could work well together, but what could he do to help? Questions ran through his head as he watched the cat work to unlock the collar from the guy's neck. He watched as they struggled against the electrocution that ran through there bodies. That got Chris even more curious. Why hadn't it been deactivated with my EMP? This puzzled him more than even why he was brought here with these other two mutants.
The only explanation was that the collar itself must have been shielded from EMP blasts. He looked down at the collar. "Who would bother to shield this from an EMP? Even if it's controlled from somewhere else...why would anyone want to protect a stupid collar from an EMP? Who thinks of this stuff?" He mused out loud as he looked over the collar carefully. The cat lady brought him back to from his musings.
“Please don’t shoot me right now.”
"Why would I shoot you right now?" He questioned her. It didn't make much sense, but then again not much did make sense right now.
