The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sara Leaned over the side of the brick work of an old apartment building. She’d gotten an email. Instructing her about another job, from another employer she didn’t care to know the name of, so long as she got paid.
The instructions that Sara had on this job, included information retrieval. She was instructed that there were three computers set in a row, on the fourth floor of the south side of the building she now stood on. Sara was to get in, crack the pass word on the computer, find a file labeled SMUK, make a copy, and get out. The funny things about instructions like these, is they always sounded easier than they really were.
If only things could, really, be that simple
Sara leaned over the side of the building looking down. Her mind raced through the usual check list. She had her little USB ports in her pocket. Utility vest, Gun, throwing knives, sais, Fedora. Sara tapped her hat. She had scoped out the building, below, peaked in the windows and had done as much homework on the theft as she could without actually going inside the building. All she needed to do now, was the retrieval.
Getting in the building was easier than expected. First off, someone had left a window on the fourth floor open. Sara entered through a different room, after jimmying the window to another room. Sara had crossed the room, and gone through a door way, into the hall, when something large, metal, and with, what felt lie the weight of a truck, came down on the back of her head.
Sara didn’t know how long she had been out. It was at least a few minute. By the time she woke up, She had been unarmed, left with nothing but the reddish brown, leather pants and her dark tank top. Oh and who could forget the splitting head ache.
Sara’s eyes squeezed tight, as she tried to push herself up into a sitting position. Apparently it wasn’t too long that she had been out. Her head hadn’t had time to fully heal. ****ing trap. She realized. She made it into a seated position and brought her knees up, so her head could bend over and be cradled between her legs. Taking in her surroundings while the pain in her head faded.
Sara had been placed in a box. A 6’ by 6’ by 4’, box. The sides weren’t completely solid, as she first thought. There were metal bars on the inside of what looked like a the boards from a large wooden crate. So while there was no light on the inside, light from the outside filtered in, for her, in thin strips. The realization hit, that she wasn’t seeing a way out, and she scooted backwards to press her back against one corner. Attempting to make the tiny area seem bigger. Swearing under her breath when the plan failed, and she started concentrating on her breathing and heart rate. Trying to slow her thoughts down. Typical Sara. The tiny space bothering her more than the fact she had just been abducted.
Shifting, in an attempt to become more comfortable, Sara’s tail brushed over a piece of paper. A note. Sara lifted up the piece of paper, and carefully began to read it.
Hey Kitten
We’ve been informed of your sightings on the street and we’ve investigated what evidence we can, of your activities. You’re an interesting creature. Fast strong, and usually too smart to be caught. Caught you in a stupid moment, didn’t we.
We represent an underground gambling community specializing in blood sports like cage fighting, and racing. Tonight’s event is a combination of both. Win, and you will be released back onto the streets. We keep the cash winnings. Loose, and we find uses for you, again and again.
Here’s the way we play our game. Racing combatants gather at the beginning of the underground maze. You, simply, be the first to reach the end, alive. Every corner of the maze, is recorded by a camera that is connected to a TV in a separate party room. So all your actions have a high rolling, high paying, audience to enjoy them.
The walls of the maze are reinforced steel. Most players of these games are human. However, recent mutant activity, in our games, have caused us to bring in a combatant of our own. Have fun, Kitten.

Bacchus woke up in dark and in closed space, an odd smells were I the air and he could hear water dripping somewhere off in the distance. Thinking hard on sounds Bacchus listened for heat beats but with no luck. He was defiantly alone in the dark. Bacchus scratched his head, which was in great pain and ran his fingers down his face to his neck, and felt something. Bacchus rapped his hands around the thing and gave it a tug trying to pull it off. The thing responded with a small shock that cause his breathing to stop for a second. He placed his hands on the thing again as a shock jolted his throat once again. Letting out a small gasp Bacchus figured out what it was. Anger grew on his face as he tried to figure out how he got a collar around his neck.
The flash back hit him hard Bacchus was some hole in the wall bar drinking up a storm thinking about home. One after another Bacchus downed what ever the bartender gave him. But Bacchus was a little surprised when he got a drink from a pretty young Sheila sitting down the bar from him. Bacchus just smiled and motioned the girl over and took a sip of the drink. They talked for a bit, but when Bacchus finished the pitcher she gave him he felt a little lightheaded. Bacchus looked at the spinning room starting to panic and then looked to the girl to hear her laughing. “What did you do to me?” Bacchus mumbled as he was feeling himself get heavy. The girl responded, “drugged you with enough tranquilizer to take down two bull elephants, but don’t worry with your body it should mess you up to bad.” Bacchus fell backwards from his stool as he muttered out a small curse, “you…..bitch…”
A small light appeared in the room as Bacchus looked around for the source. His vision blurred for a second as he looked at the television that was white and black giving off a small buzzing static sound. Bacchus cupped his ears as he tried not to focus on the loud ringing that was the static. The television gave a small beep as the static disappeared to reveal a masked bloke sitting in a nice chair behind an even nicer desk. The voice sounded cold and almost insane,
“Hello there Giant, welcome to the underground….if you haven’t noticed by now you have been kidnapped and we expect your corporation. If you don’t corporate you will die, I know that’s it’s hard to kill you but with that collar around your neck it is quite possible…”
Bacchus looked to the screen and frowned, “Son of a bitch.” Bacchus looked at the television that had a small camera on the top that was most likely streaming his movements to the man telling him everything. Bacchus turned around and pulled his pants down to moon the man. It only lasted a few second because a small jolt of electricity numbed up his throat. Letting out a small gasp Bacchus shot the bird to the camera and said “How the **** you know bout me?”
The man in the television laughed as he spoke, “God your stupider than you look, we have seen you on the tellie, and the fight in the mobs under ground fighting ring. You are quite popular mister Giant so now I ask you will you cooperate?”
Bacchus was ready to throw a punch to the television but thought against it. He could die from the collar and he would have failed his friends back home that were not something that he could do. “What do you want?”
The man laughed behind his mask and said, “excellent, excellent. As of now you are in an underground arena, the challenge for you is to get to the center of the maze, where there is a key for that thing around your neck, if you get it you win and walk away. If not… well I don’t think you want to lose.”
Bacchus looked to the man for a second and then asked, “Let me guess, it’s a race full of traps and opponents.” He then paused for a second, “let me guess can’t use my gifts?” Bacchus waited for a second and then thought of a way he could get out of this.
The man spoke, “On the contrary, I encourage you use your gifts, seeing as you’ll be competing against other mutants. The catch is if I think your trying to remove the collar, this will happen.” The man held up a small control with a small antenna extending from it.
Bacchus twitched and thrashed about as another shock was delivered to his body. After that was done Bacchus just smiled and said, “Congrats, I hope you get paid your share, cause if I ever find out who you are, well let’s just say you better hope I lose.”
Chris had been walking through the city, like he did quite often. He enjoyed watching people in the streets go about their business. It always fascinated him. Coming from a small town, the Big Apple atmosphere was different for him. Again, like he did every time he people watched, he ordered a cup of coffee and some food. Today was different. Instead of it being a nice sunny day, like it had been in the past, it was overcast and threatened of rain. It didn't bother him much, the rain, but he would have preferred it be a nice day and not have to worry weather or not he was going to get soaked. The wind was picking up and so was the humidity. He continued walking to his favorite Starbucks and found a seat outside. It wasn't hard since most people didn't want to get wet and they were just there for lunch or something. He on the other hand had all day.
After Chris ordered and received his drink and snack he took a seat near the doors facing the crowded sidewalks and street. He happened to be the only one out there and so he was able to sit in peace and quiet. Not to long after he'd sat down and started to enjoy his snack a man he'd never met before appeared. He sat down in front of Chris without invitation and set his briefcase down on the table. "Can I help you?" Chris asked the man, with as uninterested a voice as he could. He didn't even look at the man to see what he was doing. "Yes actually you can Chris." Then man replied. Chris' head shot up and he looked straight at the man. "Do I know you?" He asked. The man replied, "No. But I know you. Let me explain." Chris allowed him to start talking. It was interesting that the man knew him and yet they'd never met before.
"My name is Herbert Chertoff. I represent a company that would be interested in using your...unique abilities." he began. The man had Chris' full attention now. He didn't look around, he didn't even take a sip of his coffee. "My employer and I would like to offer you a chance to demonstrate your potential. We would like to study the progress you make at our labs. If you decide to help us that is." He added. Chris looked the man over deciding that he didn't trust him. he said, "Look. I appreciate your interest in me and my "abilities" but I'm not interested. So if you'll excuse me I have other things to do." He said getting up. Chris picked up his coffee and food and started to leave the man sitting at the table.
The man piped up before Chris left. "How's your family?" He asked. Chris stopped dead in his tracks. "Do they know you're safe? do you know if they're safe? If you'd like them to stay safe I suggest you do what we want." he said. Chris spun around the set his things back down on the table. "Leave my family alone or you'll be sorry you messed with me." He said in a quiet voice. His glare was deadly serious and he was sure the man got the message because a flash of fear showed in his eyes before he smiled. It was a cold smile that said he didn't have anything to fear from this kid. "I'll ask you once again Chris. Would you...like to help us out."
"No." was all he relpied. "It wasn't a choice. Do it and your family won't get hurt. Don't..." He trailed off. "Well we'll find out what will happen wont we?" Chris lashed out at the man. His eyes glowing a bright yellow. He grabbed he man by his throat, his powers heating up the mans neck. "Leave me and my family alone. Got it?" he said. The man shook his head and Chris released his throat. "Good." Chris grabbed his coffee and left. The man just smiled after Chris as he watched him leave. Chris walked along the street brooding in his thoughts. He heard a cars tires screech near him, but he ignored it. The car zoomed past him before stopping. The next thing Chris heard was a resounding TWACK! as his head was hit with something hard. It was lights out for him.
................
"Uuggh." He groaned. Chris rolled over and felt the cold bars touch his rams. He opened his eyes a little and saw that he wasn't dreaming. Chris reached out and touched the bars. Looking around he saw that he was surrounded by bars. He sat up and looked around. "What's going on?" he said more to himself than anyone else. It looked as if he was inside an interrogation room, although he was inside a cage in the room. There was a mirror on the opposite wall. And a voice came out of an intercom. Or so he supposed since he couldn't see much. "Did you really think I was giving you a choice?" The voice said. It took him a while to make any sense out of the voice before it continued. "You really are powerful. You just have to realize it. We know all about you and your power Chris so don't be alarmed. We wont hurt you more than my men already have. They weren't supposed to be that rough with you, but you were suppose to come willingly.Your much more stubborn than we originally thought."
The mysterious voice stopped for a minute. "Wha... What do you want with me? What did I do to you?" Chris asked the voice. His head was still throbbing from the blow he'd taken earlier. "We want you to compete for us. In a tournament of sorts. See we have this maze. Your family is at the other end of it. Well make this simple... If you win your family get to go free, you can go back to your life, and well give you enough money to support yourself in New York City for life." Chris gripped his head in pain. The voice was so loud. It looked like he didn't have a choice in the matter. It looked as if he was being forced to compete in this maze. "Alright. Fine. You win. I'll do it." He finally said thinking of all the possibilities. "What's the catch?" He asked. It sounded to simple. The mysterious voice started talking again. "Well we wont go into what will happen if you lose. I think you can figure that out. There will be other mutants there and they will also be trying to get to the finish first. All you have to worry about is getting to the finish." the man concluded.
It was now Chris' turn to ask questions. "How'd you find me? How'd you get my family?" He asked the man had a simple answer. "Your little display you made about a year ago got you a lot of attention from us. We've been looking for you since that night. You hid well and it took us a while to find you. But find you we did, and now you will be part of our little experiment." The man stopped talking for what seemed like the tenth time. All Chris could do now was wait for the maze to begin and hope his head stopped hurting by them.
Sara had read, and reread the note. At first it was to make sure she had the information, but as the number of times she read the note increased, it became more of a distraction. Something to take her mind off of the proximity of the walls, that surrounded her. Walls that threatened to close in, and who knew when they would open, letting heaven knows, what in to get her.
In a short time, Sara had the note memorized, word for word, and she was using her claws on her index finger to press lines into the flat paper. Tracing pictures into the page that made eerie tears here and there.
Outside her box, she slowly started to hear people mulling about. Someone swore, and groaned, just before her box felt like it stumbled, into motion, and Sara was being moved. She pushed away from her corner, trying to see past the small cracks in the wall of her box. Doing her best to take in the different smells that were seeping in on her, from the other side of the sent of sharp pine, and steal. The air went from smelling clean and sterile, to smelling like sweat, blood, and, to Sara’s disgust, even urine.
Sara scooted away from the side of the crate, hand snapping up towards her nose, and she tried holding her breath. Her movement was so sharp, it made the crate jump in on what ever was holding it. A voice on the outside let out a low laugh. “Ah good, She’s awake.”
“Sure is boss.” Came a second voice, just behind her box.
Sara slammd a fist into the side of the box. Closest to where she could hear the voices, and the heart beat of the man that was pushing her on something. “You ******* ********. Let me out!”
She heard the foot steps shuffle back away from her crate, and the boss man chuckled again, back in his throat. “you coward.” The boss man mused, at his employees reaction. “She’s trapped! Just get her down the hall.”
“Right boss.” Sara felt her box start to move again.
Sara felt hers crate shoved into a large slot. Then came to a stop. The foot steps quieted, and boss man was heard, shuffling off. Probably to the room where the race, through the maze, was about to be watched.
Time went by, and Sara ended up back in her corner, Knees pulled up to her chest, and her arms hugging her legs. Several minutes after the voices died away, a loud alarm went off, forcing Sara to clap her hands over her ears, and grit her teeth tight.
The box she was in, seemed to buck forward, through the wall she had been positioned next to, and the front side, fell free, and it tossed her onto the ground. Like it had spit her out. Having been thrown, Sara, not so gracefully, tumbled across the floor. She came to a stop, crouched, and looked around. A pair of other players shot right past her, eager to be the first to finish. She let them pass her, Eager to see what might be in store for them.
(if someone would like to GM those two NPC racers, go a head. I’d be eager to see with what you come up with.)

Bacchus heard a buzzer in the distance and a soft thud. Not sure what he was he decided it wasn’t worth getting shocked again, after all he was still frowning at the television. A click sounded as Bacchus turned away from the television and noticed the wall in the room had opened up like a barn door very slowly. “Don’t have time for this bullox,” with a swish of his hand and an activation of his mutation he shot the door off to the side with a loud crash as the door shot straight into the concrete wall. “OOppps…” was all he could say; as he didn’t really care he just wanted to win so he could get the hell up out of here.
Bacchus walked through the archway and found it to be just what he thought it would be a maze. He could see corners and pathways leading for what looked like twenty feet before angling off into another direction. Whistling and humming Bacchus walked around waiting till he could see what kind of obstacles he was in store for. Bacchus felt a small twinge on his ankle as he continued to walk while hardening his skin. Bacchus looked to the side as two vertical slits rolled down from the walls on both sides where he was as tiny little needles sprayed from the walls in Bacchus’s direction. He smiled as he closed his eyes and stood his ground, he felt the needles rain down to the floor as he brushed the rest off with ease. Feeling like Indian Jones Bacchus hummed the tone to the movies as he continued to walk a little further.
His pace quickened as he heard footsteps off in the distance. Apparently there were two of them and they were talking about feeling like a rat in a maze. The thought made him laugh seeing as someone often compared his nose to rats. Speaking of which, Bacchus’s nose twitched a little, as he smelled them come closer to him, which was fine by him. Any way to lessen his opponents was fine by him. To Bacchus dismay however the foot steps seemed to get farther and farther apart from each other which again was fine by him seeing as how one was still progressing closer to him. Bacchus rounded the corner and stood his ground as the man tried to stop and tripped into Bacchus.
“Looky here I found another Rat.” Said Bacchus as he grabbed the man around the throat and started to choke him. The man let out a howling scream as Bacchus let go of him by throwing him threw a wall. The wall crumbled only after letting out s small electrical charge. ‘So they were booby trapped huh?’ thought Bacchus as walked threw the large hole in the wall. Picking up the motionless body Bacchus placed his hand on the mans head and tensed his arms muscles forcing the mans brains out of his skull. Bacchus had a sad look on his face as brains covered the floor and some of Bacchus’s Face, “Sorry mate, but I have to win and you would have most likely died anyways. Figured I save you some time from worrying.” Bacchus moved the body to the side as he called out, “you pricks better find his family and give them the bod…aghh.” Bacchus plea was cut short as a current shot threw his collar; ‘guess they don’t like name calling huh?’ thought Bacchus.
Bacchus enlarged his shoulders and tensed his neck muscles as he started to run threw a set of walls cutting the time required to cross the maze in half. With each wall a small zap felt through his body as the tensed up and then loosened all the while getting ready for the next shock.
Ten walls later Bacchus noticed that the shocks were getting bigger and his reaction time was slow just a little as he ran through the walls. “Okay not going to be that easy fine.” Bacchus walked to the center of the room and put his hands behind his head as he tried to figure out another battle plan.
(OOC: hope you don't mind me killing one off, if so let me know and i can tweak it.)
It had been hours for Chris since he first talked to the man through the intercom. He'd had plenty of time to mull the words over and over in his head while he waited for them to do whatever it was they wanted him to do. Since there was nothing for him to do there he had inadvertently fallen asleep with his back to the corner. Whoever was moving him was very quiet and he didn't even notice until they hit a bump in the road. Jerked awake, Chris was unable to see anything outside his cage, unlike when he'd first woken up.
After moving along for minutes, he finally came to a stop. With his cage opening he was able to see where he was. A giant tunnel led to an unknown arena. Chris walked cautiously down the tunnel and very clicheily, headed towards the light at the end of the tunnel. Once he reached it Chris was looking at a giant maze. He started walking slowly down the maze. After a while he heard voices on the other side of one of the walls. Figuring it was the other racers in the maze, the words from the man reentered his mind. Fission picked up his pace before starting to run.
Coming to a wall and only one option he took the one option. He continued to walk along the wall slowly to make sure that he could see anything that might be coming around. He heard the footsteps of another person trying to find his way around the maze like Chris was. Chris didn't see who it was and continued walking. The man snuck up behind Fission as much as he could and decided to try and take him out of the game. Sneaking up on Chris, the man hit him in the back. He fell to the ground. The man then ran past Chris as he tried to get back up. "Man that hurt." He said to himself. He got back up as quickly as he could and raced after the man.
Catching up to him he called out, "Hey." they man turned around and Chris was able to hit him with a punch right on hi nose. It broke and started to bleed everywhere as he clutched his nose. "That was a cheap shot." He said to the man. Chris stood there waiting for the man to recover so that he could teach him how to do things the right way. After a few minutes the man recovered and was ready to fight Fission. They began fighting and Chris once again punched him. Chris' eyes turned a bright yellow as they were fighting and every time he touched the stranger he would shout in pain, as if getting burned. Chris held both hands in front of him and shot two beams out of his hands. The radiation traveled out and hit him. Just like what had happened at the Danger Room, the man dropped like a cartoon character running into a wall.
Chris continued walking down the maze much more aware of what was going on and listened for any sound of peopel walking on the other side of the walls.
Ok so note to self. The hole letting someone run out a head of her idea, was smart. Another racer entered Sara’s peripheral vision, and she winced, when all those needles shot out of the wall at him. Well, the note, did say that there were other mutants that were getting entered in this thing. She didn’t stay to see hat happened with this not so needle clad, individual started running again. Sara turned right, down a different path. All that banging and crashing that she managed to hear, she assumed was from another trap in the maze.
The route Sara had taken, was to the right, but when she got to the end, she doubled back about half way. Dead end. The second try for a turn was to the left, down a long hall way. Sara hit a tile in the floor, that dropped two inches. A sign up a head of her lit up like an exit sign, only it said, Duck! Sara one upped the sign. Ducking and rolling forward, just as a barbed tipped spear shot out of the wall on her right, and imbedded it’s self in the wall on her left, Oh that was so unfair. “funny.” She grumbled. Sara stood back up, and tried pulling the spear out of the wall, but the thing wouldn’t budge. Shame, it could have come in handy.
Choosing to start running again, Sara hit full speed. Her ears flicked forward, as all her senses tried to pinpoint other hidden threats along the way. Surprises = bad.
Eventually Sara hit another left, where she found a hole going straight through the wall… Ten walls to be exact. “Oh that is cheating.” She mumbled. Sparks came out of the wall closest to her, making her jump back a step. “Ouchy, but cheating.” Sara ducked through the first two holes in the wall, but chose to head right again, along the maze. “Cheating and convenient.” Like most cheating is.
Sara slowed her fast pace, when she reached a corner. Someone was approaching the edge, and she held her breath, becoming as silent as possible. What was this one going to do? She braced herself, and then pushed around the corner, leading with her right arm, aiming for the man’s gut, powered all the way up from her shoulder. Intending to try and knock the air out of him, if not worst.
Chris was pumped up after his short brawl with the idiot. He wasn't quite sure how he ended it so fast, but was happy that he did. His eyes had started pulsing yellow from his power usage. It wasn't much but it was enough to tell anyone who saw him that he was not to be messed with. He heard the footsteps coming around the corner. As he got closer they sounded less and less like someone with shoes and more like giant paws.
He wasn't sure what surprise could be waiting around the corner; however, he didn't think it was going to be a good surprise. He walked slower as he got closer to rounding the corner. Chris stopped. He didn't hear the footsteps anymore. He continued walking as quietly as possible. Suddenly a human-cat-person jumped out from around the corner and punched Chris squarely in the stomach. Luckily his muscles were used to surprising things so he was able to tighten his abs fast enough to absorb most of the hit. "Oomf." He said almost doubling over and taking a few deep breaths. The half cat took some of the air out of him. Quickly regaining his air, he threw an uppercut as hard as he could at its chin. That's one tough kitty. He thought as he looked at the cat's entirety.
He straightened himself and looked at the half cat in the face. His eyes had started glowing a bright yellow again as he looked at her. This was obviously one of the mutants that the voice had said was going to be in the maze with him. He'd already knocked out one human, and gotten hit by a mutant. This was not shaping up to be a good time. Then again nothing ever was a good time when you were forced to do it. "Nice to meet you too." he said to the cat. He shook out his hand. Hitting someone's jaw was always painful.

Bacchus’s giant sensing ears twitched as he heard footsteps that were gaining speed. Bacchus walked over to a sharp turn and stuck out his arm in a cloths line. Bacchus felt little resistance as a man almost did a flip after getting stiff-armed in the neck. The guy got on all fours and said,
“Shit your strong, what you say we team up?”
Bacchus looked at him for a second like he was crazy, “You serious mate?” Bacchus pointed to the collar around his neck, “I’m the one with the collar around my neck so you got no chance in teaming up with me!” Bacchus walked over to the guy and threw him into a wall and then caught him as he rebounded off the wall and then pushed him threw that wall again. Bacchus was a little surprised when the guy looked like he was completely fine, “So you're a tough bloke huh?” Bacchus started to laugh as it echoed throughout the maze, Bacchus figured out a solution to getting to the key at the end of the tunnel.
Bacchus kept laugh as he didn’t let go of the guy as he continued to run him threw walls yelling “Whoo whoo here comes the pain train!!!” wall after wall gave way as the mutant was being forced through them. Hit after hit the guy under Bacchus’s grip seemed to be getting weaker and weaker. After hitting the seventh wall Bacchus set off a trap resulting in the floor giving way. Falling to a pit of Spikes Bacchus shrugged in midair and pushed the guy under him and forced him onto the spikes killing him instantly. Luckily for Bacchus the spikes weren’t sharp enough to pierce his tough skin.
Bacchus expanded his hands as he grabbed the spikes one by one. After taking ten spikes Bacchus jumped out of the ditch to land right next to the opening. Bacchus used his power to make the spikes themselves bigger as well. Bacchus tossed one into the air and as it was landing he punched it with a good portion of his strength. The spike flew threw so many walls Bacchus’s couldn’t count them all. He did that in nine more different directions hoping he could find a clue to where the key was and his freedom.
Sara shocked herself. She was actually willing to be violent, to get out of this maze. None the less, she wasn’t going to back down, She wanted out of this maze, and that included being first to get out, and surviving getting out. Instead of backing down Sara stared the man in the eye. Suddenly surprised, to see them glowing. His eyes glowed, yellow. So that must be the shock feeling people felt when they say her feline features.
Distracted, Sara didn’t see the fist coming. It hit her square in the jaw, and sent her head to the side. There were a bunch of noises down the hall that echoed around the corners. He shook out his hand, and Sara let her head turn back around, to face him again. Running her tongue around her mouth. “Pleasure is all mine.”
Through the wall to Sara’s right, there was a series of crashes. And She dropped to the floor. Not really knowing what got into her, she spun her leg out to the side, pivoting on her hands, and aiming to knock the man with yellow eyes off of his feet. Just as she did, a spike came through the wall, from her right, and continued through the wall on her left. Ok so that made at least three mutants in the maze.
Only a little surprised by the appearance of a walking cat that was probably closer related to a werewolf in the horror movies a long time ago, was that it could talk. And it appeared to have a sense of humor. Chris was recovering from getting hit from the cat and hitting the cat.
Fission heard a sound that sounded like something was crashing through a wall. He wasn't to sure what it was so he ignored it. Chris was trying to keep his attention focused on the feline in front of him, when she suddenly dropped to the ground and swept his feet out from under him. "whoa." Chris was fast but this cat was faster and even though he was paying attention to her he didn't figure she would do that, or at least be that fast.
As he was falling, the sound grew closer to both of them. It was obvious someone, or something, was coming through the wall. Finally he saw what it was. Just briefly he saw a giant spike pass near where he'd been standing only seconds before. How many mutants are in this damn place? he wondered. So far he'd counted three, including himself.
Sara finished executing the leg sweep. Successful in knocking the yellow eyed mutants feet out from under him. Her hands pressed on the floor. She was about to push herself up, so she was low when the spike busted through the walls, above her head. Rather than pushing herself up, she curled her head down, and used one furry arm to cover her face, to protect her eyes from the debris that came from the wall.
Sara tentatively lifted her head, to peak through the hole in the wall where the spike had come from. “Hey watch it!” She called through the hole. Though she didn’t stay there for long.
She pushed off of the floor, propelling herself over the floor as she aimed to land with her feet, on the yellow eyed mutant’s diaphragm. Sara hoped to use her weight to knock the wind out of him, before trying to run, again.

“Hey watch it!”
Bacchus smiled as his ears picked up on a female’s voice. He wasn’t going to kill her maybe just immobilize her so he could win, Bacchus wasn’t one to hit a girl but a bear hug so powerful that it forced the air out of the lungs wasn’t out of the question. ‘Well I know where my compaction partner is and after she’s down I’ll just find the key.’ Bacchus started to run which caused the ground to shake with his increased weight. Instead of reducing it he increased it figuring if she was strong like the other one her hits wouldn’t work to well on him. The collar around Bacchus’s neck gave off small pluses of electrical current as he passed in-between the walls as small jolts jumped to the collar, ‘if this doesn't come off soon I’ll have to take it off, hurt like hell but that might have to happen.’
The feline got up before Chris did. He wasn't sure where she was going since it seemed like he had just come from that direction. Chris made a grab at the felines feet as she jumped on his stomach again. She was obviously intent on stopping him from winning and he wasn't going to let her win. Apparently everyone here had a reason to win and he wanted to win.
Chris felt the ground thumping like an elephant was charging through the maze, or like there was an earthquake occurring. What is that? There's no earthquakes in this part of the U.S. Is there? No. Chris continued to debate with himself as he got up off his back and started running in the opposite direction of the feline.
Since he'd just come that way he knew that that direction was not the end to this maze. Fission ran taking turn after turn as quickly as he could. As he took his last turn, before pausing to catch his breath, he touched the wall. Touching the wall was not a smart idea. He jumped back a few feet from it when it shocked him. Electricity huh? A smile crept across his face. He knew what he could do. It would make it easier for him, than for the rest of the people in the maze. He thought about it for a second. It would definitely knock out the electricity going through the wall and all the lights in the room. But its the only way to get the upper hand here.
Chris brought his hands together like hew as giving an invisible performer a round of applause. Just as quickly as he was were released into the maze, the lights went out. All the electrical devices in the maze went out. They wouldn't be able to stop any of them by electrical means. Chris' eyes changed from glowing yellow to a bright neon green. His eyes were the only thing that showed in the pitch black maze. The radiation manipulator walked slower along the maze walls watching carefully for anyone coming around the corners towards him.
Sara’s feet met their mark, but her next step faltered. Instead, she tried to run forward, when the yellow eyed mutant grabbed her feet, and she ended up tumbling forward, onto her hands. Her weight hit the ground a few feet away from her racing competition.
Then the hole place started to shake, and Sara paused. Forgetting to move forward as she tried to see where the thing that was doing all the shaking, was going. The problem was it was headed straight for her, and yellow eyes was already doing the smart thing. Leaving.
Sara pushed her feet under her weight, and she tried to move forward, when the lights went out.
