The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

After spending weeks visiting with old friends and relaxing in a new environment for a while Streak decided it was time to take his leave of Antarctica. Perhaps not permanently but at least for now he had the same urge he felt when he decided to leave the mansion. Shawn knew it would be relatively boring flying straight north over the water and heading to Europe. There were many places in the world he could start after visiting Antarctica, but he figured that Europe would be the best place to start and work his way down again, like he did with America.
Streak flew high where the cold got colder, and the bright sun shown brighter. He was up in the highest level of the atmosphere where he could watch planes flying from below him. They were like birds flying below planes and the only thing higher was a space station, satellites and a U.S. space ship that was docking with the space station. It was one thing to see on TV, but a completely different thing to see happening only a little ways above you. Since there was no up and down in space every thing seemed to be at about the same height, the only difference being the distance.
Streak began to fly in a direction that seemed to be towards the space ship but was actually back towards civilization. Away from the south's harshness and the unaccepting western civilizations and towards the east where people seemed more inclined to accept mutants as people and not lepers or people that need to be cured. As Streak flew through the atmosphere he had plenty of time to think of where he wanted to start his adventure again. He had planned it out but was not completely happy with the decisions he made or his trips route. He was going to follow his plan as best he could seeing how there were always variables to be taken into account. After all while he was heading to Antarctica he fell behind his schedule because of certain events that occurred.
Hours seemed to fly by, no pun intended, as Streak flew over more and more of the oceans. At his altitude he was able to see, as he passed them, from the Americas to Africa and Europe. Finally he saw what he had been looking for the entire time. It was a small piece of land, much smaller than the rest of the land masses near it. Silver quickly dove down through the atmosphere, the land rushing up to meet him like water over a waterfall. He pulled up quickly to lose some speed and skimmed the tops of the towns and open areas that was Iceland. Contrary to it's name there were only parts of Iceland that were actually covered in ice. It was actually a nice looking place, full of green pastures, mountain ranges, and many other beautiful geographic features.

Streak didn't spend much time in Ice land because there was many more interesting areas of the world that he wanted to check out. Specifically Ireland and England. Those were two places that he was more interested in visiting. Ireland especially because it had such a rich heritage and Streak had always been interested in the Celtic culture. Streak hadn't forgotten the order in which things should be done, getting clothing to blend in was among the top of his list. Once he had borrowed clothes from a stores back room, he moved on to his next task. Beer. It seemed like a must. Taste the local ales, liquor, beer, and women were on his to do list. It was like living on the street where there were parties going day and night in Ireland.
Traveling had taken most of the day for Shawn. He was tired but sleep could wait. Sleep was becoming a better friend lately since after so long he had not been interrupted with nightmares. Since most of the pubs were open he decided to start at one and go on from there. People started filing in one after another, couple after couple, and group after group. Some were obviously having a ladies night out while others were looking for a something different. It was easy to tell from their actions and body language. Living in the mansion for so long he'd gotten good at reading body language, especially with younger mutants. There were many red heads, they fit the description of the typical Irish person; however, there were plenty of people that didn't fit the generic Irish persona.
Streak walked up to the bar, once it started to fill with women about his age, and asked for a local drink. "Yer, not from around her are ya lady?" The burly bartender asked him. "What gave it away? My looks or the obvious accent?" Shawn replied to him snidely. He wasn't here to chat with the bartender, he was here to have more fun, and to be entertained. The barman gave Shawn the beer he ordered without another word and the silver mutant walked away. The usually silver man, found a seat by himself in the back of the pub, not to sure if he wanted to get the attention of anyone here or not. Whether he did or not a young woman flaming red hair walked over to him with a drink of her own.
Streak was in the middle of tasting his beer, which had a hint of wood to it, and was thick like a Guinness. Aside from the wood taste Shawn thought it was rather good. "Mind if I join you?" The red head said motioning to the chair in front of him. He set the beer down and said, "Knock yourself out." and indicated the chair with his free hand. It may have been a bit rude but he was still contemplating whether or not he wanted company. Traveling also made him a little rude to others. He took another long sip of his beer as the young woman sat down in front of him. She looked at him for what seemed like the longest time, making Shawn a little wary of her. Finally she smiled at him and said, "Did ya just get here mate?" However simple this comment was he was surprised that she said 'mate'. Aside from it being something that he wasn't used to hearing, he thought that the word was usually reserved for friends and not strangers. "Ya, just flew in this evening and my arms are tired." no matter how much of that she thought was a joke most of it was true. The girl chuckled a little at what she thought was a joke and continued on with their conversation. Se was a very striking woman and Shawn was glad to see that no matter where he was in the world the attractive girls were drawn to him.

The young girl, whose name was Charlotte or Charlie as she said her friends called her, turned out to be quite a nice person. She had lived in Ireland all her life and was a teacher at one of the local middle schools. She was probably about Shawn's age, he knew better than to ask. Charlie and Shawn talked for quite some time. One beer led to another, which led to another, which lead to them drinking liquor, which finally lead to them taking shots of one sort of another. Needless to say the time flew by and the next thing Shawn knew it was 1 o'clock in the morning and they were the last ones left in the bar. Obviously neither was in any state to drive anywhere so they called a cab, very woozily, and moved their drunkenness to a different location.
"Ya know, I don't usually drunk this get..." both started laughing uncontrollably at her comment, in the back of the cab. Charlotte gave the cab driver directions to her place and since Shawn didn't have a place he was going to try his luck tonight. "Me neither." He said still laughing. After much drunken conversation the cab driver pulled over to the side of the road and said "Were here." Charlie paid the man and took Shawn hand. Still very drunk she said, "Come on follow me." Too drunk to make any sensible decisions, not that he would have said no to the stunning woman, he climbed out of the cab with her and followed her up to her apartment. They stumbled their way out of the cab, onto the side walk and up the steps to her apartment complex. They continued to stumble up the stair to the third floor, where her apartment was.
Fumbling with the key she let them in and turned on the lights to her apartment. It was a very cozy place, full of objects one might find in a teachers house. Gifts from past students, papers to grade, crafts for her students to work on, and many more things that Shawn assumed was an Irish thing and not something found in the U.S. very much. He ignored the rest of the objects because she led him into her bedroom and started kissing him. It seemed that all the alcohol in their systems seemed to make their clothes fall off faster and one thing led to another. The next thing Shawn knew he was lying in bed next to...nothing. This is odd. It's her place but she's not here. He got up and walked around, feeling very hungry he looked in her kitchen and saw a note taped onto her microwave. It read,
Shawn. ran to the market quickly will be back soon. Please wait. XOXO Love, Charlotte.
Shawn looked around. He continued to sear for food and found her few things that would be suitable for eating. He ate some things that smelled good and looked good. He put on a few of the clothes that he'd borrowed from the store, mainly his pants, since it was a bit warm in the apartment. After waiting around the apartment, like a trapped animal, Charlie returned with an arm full of groceries. Shawn took them from her, gave her a kiss, and set them down, and went to retrieve more. After all the groceries were brought up the fiery red head made them something to eat. The gal can cook, I'll give her that. He thought as he began eating the food she cooked for them. "This is delicious Charlotte. Where did you learn to cook like this?" He asked her eating more of the food off his plate. "My mother taught me. She was a professional chief and always hoped that I'd become one as well. But their happy with what I've done with my life and that's all I can ask for." She answered him simply, also eating her food. The meal lasted hours, followed by hanging out the rest of the day. She only mentioned the scars covering his back once, while he was able to avoid the question he was sure that she continued to think about the possibilities.

Shawn was unable to get away from Charlotte the entire day. They would return to her apartment for each meal and she would cook them up a cuisine that was worthy to be served in any fine restaurant. He didn't remember much of the night before and neither did she. Streak seemed to have gotten over the hangover much quicker than she did and was ready to continue on their activities. That night they repeated the same process. They went to the same bar that they had met at the night before.
They ordered the drink that they had started with the night before. They spent most of the night talking together and drinking much slower than they had night before. Shawn and Charlotte were both intent on remembering this night. After a while Streak was starting to feel buzzed and much more talkative than he was earlier that night or even more than during that day. She was feeling daring again and since they were both drunk once more she decided to ask him again the question he'd dodged that morning. "So where did you get the scars on your back from?" She looked at him intently but with a nice smile on her face.
Streak could see that there was no way of avoiding the question this time. Before he answered her question it occurred to him that she had never brought up a question about his eyes. He wasn't going to bring up his eyes to her. "You may not like the answer." He began, setting his drink down and tapping his fingers on the table. "It was ten years ago and I was eighteen, and the mutant registration law was just signed into legislation in the U.S." He looked at for her reaction. She didn't show anything so he continued. "I am a mutant and I was living at a school for mutants. The human raided it and took many of us there." He told her the entire story, skipping the details that might be considered irrelevant or even gory. Streak skipped part of the whippings, the torture, and the fights that occurred on an almost daily basis.
Once he had finished he took a large gulp of his beer. Charlie stared at Shawn in awe. She seemed shocked?... disgusted?... not ready to hear something so life changing? He didn't know what the expression on her face was saying. She didn't move, didn't take a drink, didn't even blink. After about a minute of sitting in silence Charlotte finally came to her senses. She slowly took a drink and said to him, "So that scar on your face...the scars on your back are from the...camps? Streak nodded, acknowledging her statement. He looked around to see if anyone was paying attention to their conversation. No one was. Charlotte leaned closer to him placing her elbows on the table. He leaned closer to her to see if she wanted to say something quietly to him. "Your eyes. I never noticed them before now but their different. I've never seen anyone with silver eyes." Shawn smiled at her. She finally got it. She finally noticed. he thought to himself as they both sat back in their chairs. She looked at her watch. "I have to leave tomorrow. Gotta get back to the states and work." He said to her. They returned to her place to sleep and in the morning Streak flew out of Ireland and headed towards England.

It didn't take Streak long at all to get to England. In fact it took less than an hour to get there. Streak flew up to Scotland for a short while, just to see the country side. It was much more mountainous than Ireland was and had more farms than cities. Shawn was back to his routine after he arrived in a new part of the world. The silver man decided that it was probably better if he landed in a big city like Whales or even London. He chose London because of its amount of people would help Streak blend in with the crowds. Or so he hoped.
Finding a business that was very busy he walked in. Since he was taking the clothes he could afford to get some of the more popular clothes like Abercrombie & Fitch clothing. Picking out his size in pants, shirt and jacket he walked back to the dressing rooms. He had become very practiced with this maneuver, thus making it very easy for him to get the clothes he needed to blend in. The woman waiting at the beginning of the changing rooms looked at Shawn a little funny but dismissed it and gave him a tag and let him go in. As Streak walked pasted the lady he covered his head in silver so that any video footage would show a silver face and no discernible id to give to the police.
Once inside the changing room he put the clothes on, tore off the price tags and any other devices that would set off an alarm and proceeded to walked out the back wall. The back of the changing room, that he'd just walked through, opened up into the loading bay and storage area. He looked around and didn't see anyone so Shawn walked calmly out and into the bustling London streets. The man of silver blended in perfectly with the people as he walked away from the store he'd just gotten the clothes from. Shawn used to feel bad about taking the clothes from stores but after a while e decided that it didn't matter anyways. Since he only took it from big companies he decided that they probably wouldn't miss one set of clothes as much as a smaller locally owned store.
It was easy enough to blend in as long as he didn't speak to anyone. He looked like a typical, college or maybe even a high school student. He had the faded jeans, and weird looking shirt that was really the only one that he even half liked, and a black leather jacket, lined with wool. He was looking very cool in the clothes though he just noticed that he didn't have any shoes. People, and most stores probably frowned on that so his next mission was to get a pair. Streak found an Nike store and walked in, looking around for a pair of running shoes that he liked best. He tended to do a bit of running through the cities he stayed in. It was like a patter he was in. Steal clothes, drink, find a place to sleep, run from people, find a place to sleep, and so on and so forth. Shawn had just found a pair of shoes when he discretely pulled off the tags and walked out of the building. No one was looking at at him to see what he was doing.
Shawn managed to sneak into a hotel and reserve a room for himself for a few days. That was about how long he intended to stay. He wasn't sure if he'd be there longer, it all depended on how much of the area he wanted to see. Silver found a nice quiet place to eat and went to sleep. He was hoping to have a quiet nights sleep. It worked out well and he woke up feeling very refreshed the next morning. He got up dressed and resumed his day wandering through the city.

It wasn't an early start to the day since he was spending it in London. Some other places he went to he woke up early for the sake of wanting to leave and be on his way. He managed to get away with his fake credit card number and everything else he'd done in that first day since arriving in the city. It was actually only his second day in London and since he wasn't sure where anything was he was going to take a tour. He walked around town, giving himself his own little tour, and stopped by many of the historical landmarks that dotted the cities landscape.
It was just about time to find more food. He'd done a good job of securing a place where he could get some easily. Shawn was surprised to find the back door open in the building. This is very odd. It wasn't open yesterday. Maybe their taking out the trash or something. These thoughts seemed to penetrate any of the other thoughts in his head. Although they seemed to be normal thoughts he couldn't help but think of something bad that had happened to this place. It was an Italian restaurant that seemed like a nice mom and pop restaurant and all the workers had thick Italian accents. They had been really nice to Shawn when he'd met them the night before.
Streak walk through the back door and looked around. Very quietly he whispered, "Where is everybody?" The kitchen was empty. Now this might not have been an odd thing if it was late in the evening or the weekend. However, as it turned out it was a Thursday around noon. The dining area also sounded quiet as Streak skulked through the kitchen silently and walked towards the main part of the restaurant. Shawn was just on the other side of the door that separated the cooking area from the dining area. There was a small round window in the door that he was able to look through and saw what looked like chaos on the other side of the door. Overturned tables littered the room. Table covers that were usually on the tables, along with silverware, plates, and other dishes that were usually neatly set up and ready to be eaten off of. Shawn knew there was something wrong. Maybe it was the overturned tables, and mess that was waiting for him on the other side of that door, or a sixth sense. Maybe it was experience that told him, if something looks bad it often is. He couldn't be sure. What he could be sure of was, he going out there without protection.
He covered himself silver and walked through the door. For some strange reason one thought seemed to penetrate his mind again, aside from the thoughts of everyone lying there dead, because they were involved with the mafia. There's something here that I've been searching for since I was younger. He was so deep in thought that he didn't even noticed he'd walked through the door and to the other side of the door into the dining area. Streak looked around through his gleaming silver eyes. What he saw would have made most people faint from the sight in the diner. Streak was obviously not like most people. He had seen things and done things that made him who he is today. Streak walked though the debris that was the diner and noticed that there were holes covering the much of the area. He listened to his foot steps and noticed when the sound changed from almost indiscernible to wet and sloshing. He looked down at his feet and saw that he was standing in a pool of blood. He looked around and saw where the blood was coming from.

There were bodies of the waiters and waitresses lying around him. How he managed to walk past them without seeing or hitting them was a wonder in itself. Shawn examined the holes closer and noticed that they were bullet holes. They were also randomly placed which made him think of a machine gun doing this much damage. The man in silver continued to walk around the room looking at the corpses that laid on the floor. The surprise, shock, and other looks showed that this may have been a random act. However, Streak knew better than that. There was a reason these people were dead. He climbed over the debris that was in his way and spotted the owners. They were all sitting around a table, or at least some were lying on the table while others had fallen out of their chairs and onto the floor. "Dead where they lay. Every single one of them." He said, walking past another group of bodies. The sight was sickening. There were older men, young men, women, and even a few children, "Probably the owners kids." Streak said sadly to himself. It was a sad sight and Streak had to look away.
Suddenly Streak saw movement out of the corner of his eye. He looked over and saw what looked like a foot. Instinctively he formed a shield, to prevent harm to himself from whatever weapon the person who was hiding may have had. He then formed a sword, one that he'd grown to liking over the years. Very slowly he crept toward where he'd seen the movement. Once Streak had gotten to the spot where he'd seen the movement, he looked around the corner hiding his weapons and saw another foot a little farther off vanish behind a table. This was Streak's area. People couldn't compete with him on hide and seek. Streak moved as silent as a mouse towards the table. There happened to be debris in his way, but that wouldn't stop him. He walked straight threw it and continued to walk on. He could hear breathing on the other side of the table as he drew closer.
Finally he was at the table and just on the other side was the person he was seeking. In one fast jump he was over the table and on the other side. The stranger looked up just in time to see Streak land behind her. While he was in the air gun shots could be heard. Bullets whizzed past their target and hit the ceiling above them. He didn't miss a beat. Streak spun around on his knees and brought his shield in front of him his sword held at the ready behind his shield. She fired three more times hitting the shield with no affect to him. He swept his sword towards her and hit the gun. She probably wouldn't have let go if he hadn't hit a few of her fingers. He sliced down to the grip on the weapon drawing blood from her fingers. She was now defenseless and at his mercy. Streak was no mercenary or murderer, however as he held his sword to her throat he saw the fear and horror in her eyes. She'd witnessed it all happen and Streak felt sorry for her. His face softened and he took his sword away from her neck.
His shield slowly disappeared from his hand and the sword shrunk down and disappeared as well. She looked at him amazed. "Why don't you kill me you murderous bastard." She spat at him. Did he know her from somewhere? Was she some mutant hater that supported the camps back then and even to this day? He thought about it for a second ignoring her comment. She looked to be younger than him, so she couldn't have been someone who worked there. Then why did she associate him with murder. She clutched her hand to try and prevent more blood loss but her fingers were cut very deeply and almost in half. "Now wait one minute." he started at her. He took in her looks and decided that aside from the blood that gushed readily from her hand she was quite beautiful. He continued talking to her, "You think I did this?" He said to her. She nodded trying to keep from making to much noise and to keep herself from crying in pain. "First of all, I'm no murderer. I don't kill people senselessly. I didn't do this, and if I did do you think I'd still be talking to you or even still here? I'd be long gone by now." He told her. She seemed to listen to him, still gritting her teeth in pain. Here eyes started to water uncontrollably and so she started speaking.

"No. I guess your right. You wouldn't still be here. Your not even from around here are you?" She looked at Streak for confirmation. He nodded his head in agreement. Since more than one of her fingers were split open she was having trouble keeping them closed to prevent blood loss. "So. Who would do this? They were such a nice family. They were always nice to me. They always treated me nice. They always helped me when I was in trouble." She continued to talk for another ten minutes stopping here and there to sob and then she would continue. Her sobbing was interrupting her story and so was the pain he'd caused her.
Eventually she'd stopped talking and started nursing her wound. "Here let me look at that." He said simply holding out his hand to her. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to hit your hand." She held out her hand and he took it in his cool silver hands. With her other hand she pushed the hair that had fallen in front of her face back behind her ear. He looked into her eyes for a moment. Her eyes were large and bright blue and filled with tears. She finally smiled at him as his cool hands moved over her hands. He moved his hands gently over her fingers, feeling the cuts and rotating her hand in his to look at the damage. He hit her harder than he thought and she was still loosing blood. The girl started looking pale, the adrenaline was emptying from her system and the amount of blood seeping from her was making her light headed quickly.
After looking at her hand for a minute he started to use his powers to cover up the wound. Soon her hand started to look like his. He covered the entire hand in silver so that he could make sure that he covered as much as he could and it would be secure. She looked at her hand, the blood stopped seeping from her open wounds. The pain had started to diminish from her fingers because of the cool silver that now covered her entire hand. "Wow. That's amazing. I could never do that. Your powers are so much cooler than mine." He was taken by surprise to hear her talk about having powers. Sirens could be heard coming closer and closer to the business. Since he heard the sirens he didn't ask anymore questions or say anything else except, "We have to get out of here. Now." He grabbed her good hand, stood up and started to pull her towards the back door. She'd apparently heard the sirens as well and followed him without complaint. Streak started to run, and dragged the girl along with him. "Why are we running? The bobbies could help us." She yanked her hand out of his and stopped running. All she did was stand in the middle of the alley and stare at him.
Streak stopped and turned around. He rounded on her. Eyes dead set at her. Clearly she'd never had a bad experience with the cops. "No they wont. Nothing good will come from a room full of dead bodies and two people standing around inside there or anywhere near that place. That's why we have to leave." he explained to her. After discussing things more she finally decided that Streak was right. The young woman agreed to follow Streak as they left the street and ran as far away as they could.

Once they were far away from the police Streak slowed their pace. Streak continued to hold her hand as they slowed to a walk. Their flee from the restaurant didn't go unnoticed, unfortunately. Let's face it a young man in all silver, minus the clothes, and a young women running away from the direction the sirens were coming from and running down a busy street didn't exactly scream Innocent. People were staring at them as they hurriedly walked past, around, and even through in some cases, groups of people. Pushing and shoving weren't exactly the best ways to avoid the attention they were receiving. Shawn walked down the street with the young lady in tow. After another five to ten minutes of brisk walking they turned down a less crowded street. Neither of them talked for quite some time as they walked past people.
Finally the young woman had had enough. Very forcefully she yanked her hand out of Streak's and stopped walking. She was clearly tired and so was Streak. He stopped as well and faced her. "What's wrong? I just saved you from the police." He said to her. She placed her hands on her knees in an attempt to catch her breath. Once she'd gotten her breathing slowed down, a little more to normal, she shook her head. "Thank. You." She said still trying to catch her breath. She swallowed hard, took a deep breath, stood up, and looked him straight in the eyes. "I, don't know...how to thank you. You saved me...from them...My names...Emily. Em or Emmy for short." Emily, as it turned out her name was, was recovering quite well from all the running they'd just done. Now that they seemed to be out of danger she looked at her hand with better clarity. The silver that Streak had put of it was holding well thought he didn't know how her hand would heal. He was more concerned with her hand than with whatever else she was saying. "Let me see your hand again. She held it out without any complaint or comment. He took it in his hand and carefully removed the silver. Once that was done her hand started to bleed again.

Streak was very creative and so he had no problem thinking of a way to close the wounds. Creating a small thread and needle he started to sow her fingers back together. It obviously painful and she did the best she could not to scream, since they were still trying to avoid the police. Em gripped his other arm tightly and bit down on her jacket as he threaded through her skin like a surgeon. It took time to sow the fingers back together and after he'd done that he covered her hand with silver again. It helped the pain subside and she slowly let go of her death grip on Streak's arm. Tears were now rolling down her face from the pain and she wasn't able to stop crying for a while. When she finally managed to stop crying she started asking him questions. "What's your name? Where are you from? How old are you?" And perhaps an even more important question. "Do you always look like this?" With the silver covering Streaks body it was impossible to tell how old he really was. He let go of her hand and pulled his silver back, letting it sit where it has for so many years under his clothes. As the silver retracted she smiled, finally being able to see the face of her rescuer.
"I'll try to answer them in the order that they were asked. he said smiling at her. He continued, "My name's Shawn, but when I use my powers people call me Streak, short for Silver Streak. I'm originally from Texas but have lived in New York for a long time. I'm twenty eight. And no I obviously don't always look like that." He looked down at her hand that was at her side and noticed blood dripping from it slowly. "Hold my hand. Shawn said frankly to her and holding out his own so that her hand that he'd covered in silver would be in his hand. "Just because you saved my doesn't mean that you automatically get the girl." She said with a sly smile. "That's good to know. Mean I have to work for ya. But that wasn't the reason. Your hand is bleeding. He pointed to her hand and continued to hold his other out. Emily looked at her hand and noticed the blood. She quickly set her hand in his and the bleeding immediately stopped as the silver sealed back up. Interesting. they both thought. Once they'd solved that little problem they continued to walk hand in hand. After many cops had past they walked back out onto the busier street and towards a diner. "Well I guess you get the honor of being my tour guide. He said smiling to her. She smiled back and was it soon became obvious that they were both more than just pretending to be a young couple out for a stroll and were actually enjoying each others company. The time passed by quickly and before they knew what was happening they were heading to a local pub to spend the rest of the night in the company of others.
Emily had forgotten all about her sliced up fingers. It seemed like a natural thing for them to be holding hands. First of all they passed it off really well, and second of all they were enjoying the time together so it wasn't even like they were forcing their company on each other. They spent the night in a quiet club learning more about each other. He learned more about her than she did of him. She was more open to sharing than he was and he left out certain details that were perhaps best left for later.

After they spent much of the night together, closing many pubs and clubs, they went their separate ways. Before they went their separate ways they exchanged numbers. Both had agreed that they should meet again and hang out. Since Shawn didn't know where anything was in England. Emily offered to be his tour guide for the rest of the time he was in town. Since he'd convinced her that he was in London for vacation and not business, she thought it was the best time to not be shy around her savior. By the time they went there separate ways it was about 3 in the morning. Shawn returned to his hotel room and fell asleep with his mind anxiously awaiting tomorrows meeting.
It was mid afternoon when Shawn and Emily met up again. They had agreed to meet at the same place where they had left each other earlier that morning. Shawn arrived earlier than he would wanted to, but since he wasn't sure where he was going and wanted to leave enough time in case he got lost, ended up waiting for her to arrive. Shawn found a bench on the side of the street that was normally used for bus stops and waited there. When she finally arrived he stood up and they gave each other a hug. That hug connected them in more than anything they had shared with each other the night before. After letting go of Emily she said, "So, are you ready to go?" He nodded as he tried to figure out what happened just them. They walked together in silence for a while before Emily started pointing to historic building and telling him about it. It was definitely interesting for him to find out about those places so finally he said to her, "Look this is interesting but I'd rather learn more about you and your powers. How about a little demonstration huh?"
"Sure." Was all she said at first. Em, then started looking around at all the people that were walking by them. Finally she pointed to one man about to cross the street. "Watch this." She furrowed her brow, concentrating on the man. He was wearing an over coat and suit. The light turned green and the man was about to cross the street with everyone else in the crowd when he suddenly climbed up onto an area of the lamp post where he could be seen above everyone in the crowd. The mans started swinging around the lamp post and singing like he was in a musical. Many people stared at him as the man continued to sing and swing around the lamp. Both Emily and Shawn began laughing uncontrollably at the man. It soon became apparent that she stopped using her powers when the man stopped singing, climbed down and walked across the street looking dumbfounded. Many other people looked at him like he was crazy for climbing on a lamp post and singing. He walked past Shawn and Emily, who were still laughing at the mans display.
After another minute of hard laughing, Shawn's laughing started to subside and he was able to say, "That was awesome. How did you do that?" She then started to explain her powers to him. " I can control people's minds and make them do what I think. I'm not super powerful, for example if a person has a strong will then that person can resist my powers. I can also make people think a certain way using suggestions and manipulating their thoughts. I can also communicate with people telepathically as far as a city block away." She concluded. Streak was intrigued by the description of the powers she held. Emily continued to show him her powers until they decided to grab some food. As they ate they continued to talk about their powers openly. They of course got stares but once Shawn looked at them with his silvery eyes they left both him and Emily alone.

The next day was similar to the day before. They shared more about their powers and they also walked around the city so that Shawn could see more of the sights. The couple were getting closer and closer as the days continued to pass by. Normally Streak would have left already and moved on to a different part of the world; however, every night when they went their separate ways he continued to think about her for hours at a time and wasn't able to bring himself to leave her. At least not yet. As the days turned into weeks they spent more time with each other. The weather getting cooler as their affection for each other got hotter. They started spending less time apart. Eventually he even started spending days with her in her apartment instead of returning to his hotel room.
The next few days they'd spent eating various foods and tasting various wines. She told him that she'd use her powers to get them into various exclusive restaurants and very exclusive wine tasting meetings. It wasn't Shawn's favorite thing for him to do but she seemed to enjoy it and he was happy to oblige. After returning to her apartment from an evening of wine tasting, and not even getting a buzz from it, he began taking off his jacket and hanging it up. "Ya know, I have to tell you something. I'm not a big fan of those wine tasting events." he told her not waiting for a reply before telling her the truth. She took off her short trench coat revealing her red cocktail dress underneath it. Emily looked at him with her bright blue eyes and said, "Why not. I think they're fun." She said twirling around and letting her dress twirl just below her waist.
"Well I don't have anything in common with them. They're all rich talking about their money, and their jobs, and stuff. I have nothing to talk about. What do I do to earn money? Nothing. I don't work, I get my clothes by taking them right out of the stores. Not like everyone else and purchasing them. I take them right out of the dressing rooms. I don't have anything in common with them. I make up shit to make myself sound entertaining to them. And for what, so they can forget me as soon as the party's over? I just don't have any fun there." He finished he rant and looked at her a little apologetically. Shawn knew that she enjoyed them and she enjoyed having him there with her as arm candy.
"Aww I'm sorry. I didn't know that." Emily said walking up to him and giving him a peck on the lips. They had become very comfortable around each other and didn't keep any secrets. Not that he could, she was able to read his mind to a certain extent. He'd even told her about his time in the camps. She'd been sympathetic to him and listened with all her interest. She sat down on the couch, picking her knees up and sitting on her feet. She beckoned him over to the couch by patting at a seat next to her. He seemingly obediently obeyed and sat down next to her and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Can I tell you something?" She said to him. "Of course. You don't even need to ask." He replied to her, looking her in the eyes.
"I don't really like them either. I brought you to them cause I thought it was something new and you would like it. I'm sorry. We don't have to go to anymore of them. They're not really my friends anyways. They're just people I know and am nice to because they have money. You have the exact same problem as me. I don't have anything to relate to them. I work, but it's not like I have a job where I make a lot of money or anything like they make. The only way I get into those things is by using my powers, which I'm sure you've noticed." She told him comfortably. Emily snuggled closer to him and he kissed her on the forehead. They continued to talk about things that he still had yet to tell her. The continued to delve into each others pasts without getting mad at the other for the things they'd done. They went far back so, so far, that Shawn was telling her about before he was a mutant.
She continued to tell about her past as well. She told him about the time when she discovered her powers and all her practice times her parents spent with her helping control it. The only thing they were leaving out was their past relationships. It was something that Shawn had agreed with her not to discuss. It was something that they didn't need to talk about. Their talking led to kissing, which led to much more. They both slept comfortably in each others arms until the sun light gently kissed their faces through her window.

Shawn opened his eyes and saw that Emily was still lying up against him with her back to him. The sun always seemed to wake him up whenever he was sleeping. One of his arms was trapped under body while the other was lazily draped over her. He didn't dare to move either arm because he didn't want to wake her up. With the sun coming in through her window the way it was made him think of an angel lying there on the bed. So soft and gentle, yet powerful if angered. Emily's beauty amazed him and he found himself, in this particular instant, staring at her. Maybe he'd stared to hard at her, or he got to close, or maybe she'd just felt his eyes on her. Whatever it was, she stirred.
He froze. Once again she shifted a bit restlessly before stretching. When she stretched her entire backside brushed his body and she ended up closer to him than she was sleeping. Emily rolled over onto her back, still with Shawn's arm pinned beneath her bare back, and she looked up at him. "Morning." she said smiling at him, the angelicness of her features still showing brightly. "Morning." he said in reply to her. Streak smiled at her also, his silvery eyes glinted brightly in the sunlight. They kissed each other and once again made love before getting out of bed and having breakfast. She was also a good cook. Shawn wasn't sure how he managed to find girls that were both attractive and good cooks. It wasn't that he couldn't cook. On the contrary, he thought he was a decent cook. It was just that if someone offered to cook for him he wasn't going to stop them.
After eating they continued their little adventure they were having the past two days. Since the weather was getting cooler, everyone in the city knew that it was cold and flu season, which meant only one thing was coming around riding piggy back with the colds and flu's. Haywire. They dressed appropriately for the weather, as it turned out London had gotten a light blanket of snow that night after they'd returned from their wine tasting party. Shawn didn't need to dress as warmly as everyone else. Because of his powers, he was able to cover his body in silver, that was already covered by clothing, and he would be warm enough to not need more layers. It was a simple fix since he didn't have more clothes to bundle up with. After walking for quite some time Emily said she was getting cold. So they stopped in at a local coffee shop and got some warm up juice, also known as coffee.

After taking their time drinking their coffee's they left the cafe. It had gotten a little warmer outside and Shawn didn't need as much of the silver covering his body under his clothes. She also decided that it was a little warm and unbuttoned her coat to let some of the brisk air in. Granted she was only wearing about as much as Shawn was clothing wise but she was more petite and had less, "insulation" if you will, on her body then he did. They continued to walk through the streets of London visiting many different privately owned stores. Many of these stores knew Emily by name and weren't shy at all to say that Shawn would make a nice addition to her family.
Much to Streak's embarrassment by the store owners they were able to sample many of the food for free. All the food was good, especially the ones that were bakeries, chocolate shops and other local restaurants. It seemed that Emily was acquainted with pretty much everyone. All the shops and stores that they visited seemed to be run by people that were hoping to turn it over to their children or grandchildren some day. After almost every visit Emily apologized for the store owners embarrassing him and saying things like that. Streak would just shake his head, smile, and they would continue on their way to the next store. Shawn looked around at every store they went into and noticed the same friendly atmosphere and the dame good cooking that was associated with smells one found as they one entered their grandparents house.
After visiting many of her shop friends they returned to her apartment. They were both laded down with food, sweets, and other things that the store owners had given them as gifts as congratulatory gifts for being, in their words, "...such a cute couple." and many more comments that hey thought he couldn't hear like "...don't let this one get away." or even some of the more bold grandmother figures "...if you don't marry this one I may have to." The comments were flattering and hilarious to say the least. After hearing these comments, Shawn was sure one of two things was going to happen. Either he was going to get laid, which he wasn't sure would last to long because of the morning's little escapade they had together, or he was going to get a serious talk of one kind or another. It turned out to be the latter of the two options.
Shawn listened to what she had to say. It was mostly interesting, although some things he tuned out because they seemed like insignificant points. The talk, as they came to call it later on took hours. The discussion was one that Shawn was sure men everywhere dreaded. Even he didn't like the conversation. It wasn't a bad conversation, or something that he'd done wrong or anything like that. It was more like one of those "Where are we going with this relationship" conversations. Once their conversation finished it was almost dinner time. They decided to stay in the rest of the night and watch TV and perhaps even talk some more. Emily was about to get up to prepare dinner until Shawn said, "Let me show you what American cooking is like." He loved her cooking and everything else she did; however, Shawn figured that it was time she knew he could do more than just fight. He took the food they'd managed to bring back from the stores and created a simple yet delicious steak with potatoes and other fresh vegetables.

"That was delicious." She finally said to him as they finished their dinner. She leaned over the table and gave him a kiss. After that he got up and walked over to the kitchen one again. He dug around in the refrigerator for a minute or two before pulling out what he was looking for. He pulled out a box that they had received earlier that day. It was a box of chocolate and cheese. He'd combined the two so that she didn't know that was in what. When he opened it Emily became excited and took a piece of the chocolate. She stood up and walked over to him, while eating the piece of chocolate.
Although neither of them were particularly dressed up for this little dinner date, she was looking very attractive. After they'd had their dessert they settled down on the couch to watch some movies. They flipped through the channels looking for an adequate movie that would finish off what seemed like a perfect evening. All that seemed to be on were horror movies, so they decided to watch one of them. It was getting late and they'd already watched two horror movies on TV. At the end of the second one Emily was just about trying to hide in Shawn's skin. He was a little freaked out by the movies but was more concerned with her trying to crawl into him. Shawn changed the channel and there was a comedy show. "Turn it off Shawn. I don't want to watch any more." she said to him. He turned off the TV and they sat there staring at the blank screen. "Wow. And I thought America had some messed up and gory shit. This was worse." he said to her after a slight pause.
They continued to sit there, with Emily in Shawn's arms. Finally Emily decided to go to bed and she dragged Shawn with her. It didn't take long for Streak to fall asleep; however, Emily laid there for hours staring at the ceiling and at him. She finally managed to fall asleep when she was woken up by a strange noise. The noise was obviously coming from outside. Even though they were on the second story of the apartment complex she was still worried about it. The loud thumping came again and again, like people were jumping onto the roof. After listening to it for about five minutes she woke Shawn up. Groggily he woke up. "Wha? What's going on? Did you have a nightmare from the movies?" he asked her. "No. There...there's someone sneaking around on the roof." Emily said to him. She then explained what she had heard. "It's just your imagination. Come on lie down and go back to sleep." Streak said beginning to pull her back to him in bed.
