The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It had been a long time since Sara had left the city. Cities were nice and all, but they never quieted. Through the weeks, Sara had learned that she had began to ignore most of the subtle sounds around her. It had just become a meaningless buzz of traffic, people, and stench.
Out here, there was actually silence. A silence that she could concentrate on. She had come out with only the cloths on her back, and it felt good. Leaving everything behind, even if it was only for a few days.
Sara found a thick trunk of a tree, and sat down. Leaning her elbows against her knees. Sara hut her eyes, and began to just listen.
Packmaster sighed happily as he felt the wind run through his hair, which was loose once more. Sure, he liked the Sanctuary, but he had missed the wild. He had missed the fierce joy from taking down prey, and tearing the meat with his teeth like a wild man.
His musings were interrupted by on of his wolves, who indicated that they had caught an interesting scent. With a group howl, they started heading that way.
Sara’s ears flicked, and her tail twitched at the different sounds that greeted her. She had slouched in the spot, nearly falling asleep. Places like this were more comforting than norms gave them credit for.
There was a howl in the distance, and Sara’s ear snapped forward, to attention. Lifting her chin enough to look in the direction the howls had come from. It was the direction he had just come from, and she hadn’t sensed any wolves when she had passed that area. So they were either passing through. Or following something. Otherwise she would have smelled the boarders of their territory.
Sara’s ears flicked back, as she suppressed other thoughts and memories, focusing on the sound. “How odd.”
Packmaster ran through the forest with his pack, leaping through and over bushes and animals not smart enough to move out of the way. After some time, they began to reach an area where the scent was strongest, so the entire pack quietened. After climbing a tree, he looked into the clearing and sent the wolves in to make it look like an ordinary pack.
'I wonder what it is? What has arrived in these woods?' Packmaster wondered to himself.
The pack came out from the woods, and Sara straightened to a stand. The tip of her tail flicked but she staid where she was. She was here first, she wasn’t in their territory, and she wanted a day of rest. They would have to either walk away, or she would just drive them away. Either way, they were leaving, and she wasn’t.
Sara stood there patiently waiting to see what the wolves were about to do. The one that got closest to her, she made eye contact with. Silently she let go of the staff she had used as a walking stick, and leaned that up against the tree she had been leaning against.
Pack staredin suprise at the mutant that had revealed herself.
'Well, I can't hurt one of my own, can I?' He chuckle to himself, then jumped from the tree.
He landed behind his wolves, and they moved around him as the straitened from the landing crouch. He flipped his dreads out of his face, and smirked at her, revealing one of his fangs.
"Hello there, cutie. What's yer name?" He said, his gowling tone tinted with amusement.
Sara’s head tilted when the man showed himself. Odd. She didn’t smell an extra person, she smelled the wolves, meaning he spent enough time with them to smell like them and them like him. Again… odd.
"Hello there, cutie. What's yer name?"
“Cutie?” Sara hardly ever heard that fraise in response to her, if it wasn’t coming from Ayesac. Still even though she wasn’t use to it, it brought the corners of her mouth slightly up, and the flesh on her nose darkened a touch with her blush. She shifted her weight onto her other hip, and her arms crossed. Tail flicking. “It’s Sara. Is there something you need help with sir?”
Packmaster gave the girl another look over, but this time, it was to see just how apparent her fighting ability was. Figureing that she probably had a decent amout of experience, he decided to play it safe.
" 'Sara' ," He said, running the name through his head until he was sure it was memorized. "A pretty name for a pretty girl. Naw, my pack picked up your scent, and we were curious as to what exactly you were, as we had never scented anything quite like you before." He finished with a wink.
Sara's weight shifted to the other foot, popping her other hip out to the side. She wasn't too impressed but the continued compliments kept her amused. Pretty. he said she was pretty...
"Take it form me. Curiosity isn't the best thing to follow." It got Sara into trouble quite a bit. "i didn't catch your name."
