The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ethan's eyes shot open and a suddenly his body was racked with pain. He looked around but it was dark, to dark. He felt thousands of tiny needles peircing every pore of his skin. Ethan sat up quickly and was pulled back by monitoring systems stuck on his chest, he reached down and yanked them off, the machine flat lined. He stood on the ground and his knee's buckled, he went to breath but it was like he was under water. He struggled to stay on his feet as he tore back the curtain that was surrounding where he was. He made his way for a faint light, a window with a thick curtain over it. He stumbled through the room totally oblivious to what was around him.
As he reached the window he pushed the curtains aside and allowed the sunlight to shine into the room. As the sun hit his bare chest he felt a rush of relief, like a great weight had lifted off his chest. He took in a deep breath and closed his eyes as he felt his body drinking the sunlight and warming his body. He then turned and looked around the room, it was a hospital like room, he looked around and saw a few curitans that were drawn around the bed and the faint hospital light, then he realized something. He didn't know where he was, the last thing he remembered was being in the hall fighting the cloaked man and then a sudden sharp pain. He leaned agains the window and then slid down till he was sitting on the floor.
He looked at his hands, they were tan and normal. Something must have happened that made his powers quit out, but the only thing that ever did that was staying out of the sun for a long time. How long had he been out, what happened after that pain hit him, and most importantly, where the hell was he.

It had been a few days since the break in and every thing had been turning back to normal for Sam, well almost everything, there was one thing that still had Sam a little worried. Walking down the hall way to the infirmary he thought about what he did and gilt let out a small sigh. He used his powers on a fellow resident to his home and ended up putting him in the hospital. For two Days Sam had been coming in to see if the human flashlight had recovered from his sudden and rapid drop in temperature.
Pushing open the doors to the infirmary Sam was blinded by a small flash of light as he saw the guy he iced out that night of the break in. A sudden sweeping feeling of relief fell over Sam as he knew that he was alright, well from the looks of him he seemed okay. walking closer, Sam cleared his throat, “So your awake? Had me worried for a while guy. How you feeling?”
As Ethan sat on the floor, his normally colored hands holding his head, a man walked in. It took him a few moments to establish in his mind who it was. It was the kid he had run into in the hall when the cloaked man attacked. Ethan looked up at the man and put his hands down where he was huddled under the open window. "It's you," he said simply, not attempting to stand because he already knew he was too weak.
"I've been better, I'm not doing well if you don't see me glowing." He said pointing to his hand to show it's normal, non-glowing, pigmentation. "It normally doesn't shut off like that, it only happens when i haven't been in the sun, and they put me in that dark area," He said pointing towards the torn back curtain and the overturned bed. "I die without sunlight. He let his head fall back against the wall, looking up to the ceiling. "Where am I?"

"It's you,"
Sam was a little surprised the kid didn’t try taking a swing at him; it was his fault he was in here to begin with. But Sam wasn’t sorry for what he did, if the human light bulb wasn’t stopped then the mansion probably would have caught fire and Sam couldn’t let that happen, this was his home and no one was going to wreck it.
"I've been better, I'm not doing well if you don't see me glowing." "It normally doesn't shut off like that, it only happens when i haven't been in the sun, and they put me in that dark area," "I die without sunlight. "Where am I?"
Sam looked down at the ground then looked around the room. “Your in the Mansions hospital wing, kinda feel bad, seeing as I put you in here. You were out for a few days.” Sam then looked back to the guy who was soaking in the Suns warmth, “But to be fair you looked as if you were going to go solar on us and burn the mansion down to nothing but cinders and ash.”
Ethan bowed his head as the other mansion resident spoke. "The last thing I remember was a really sharp pain. Then i got cold and saw you. I didn't know that I was out of control. That hasn't happened since..." He then looked up at the kid and shook his head, "Nevermind." He looked around the room, it really didn't seem like something that was in the mansion, he had never seen it before. Then again his constant sun kept his body healthy, filtering out the bad and inhancing the good.
He then looked back up to the mutant, "I...I didn't hurt anyone did I?" He tried to stand up, pushing off the ground but his body was still too weak to lift himself up. He groaned deeply and fell back to the ground. "So what's your name anyways?"

"The last thing I remember was a really sharp pain. Then i got cold and saw you. I didn't know that I was out of control. That hasn't happened since..."
Sam nodded completely understanding the pain thing, he knew who dished out the pain, it was Garret but to be fair to him he didn’t mention where the pain came from. However Sam raised his hand slightly as it was covered in a blue crystal like casing that slightly reflected the light from the window, “I brought the cold. My mutation.” When he started talking about losing control and mentioning it happened before Sam tensed a little, he knew about secrets keeping a few him self he decided not to ask him about the time he lost control.
"I...I didn't hurt anyone did I?"
Sam shook his head when he picked up a concerned tone in his voice. Sam let out a small laugh, “Nothing bad, I stooped you before you got to dangerous, the only damage that you really did was burn some wall paper and leave a nasty scorch mark near the headmistresses office. But nothing to serious.”
"So what's your name anyways?"
Sam noticed he failed in getting up so he decided to help him out. Sam walked over to him stuck out a hand to offer him help, “Names Sam.” Then joking he laughed and said, “Let me guess your names Sunny?”
Ethan nodded when he heard he hadn't hurt anyone, "Good," He mumbled and thought to himself. He didn't think he would be able to forgive himself if he accidently hurt someone again with his powers.
He laughed as Sam guessed his name, "Among other things, Sunny, Sunshine, Ethan, Hopes. When your on the run you get alot of aliasis.

Sam let out a laugh again and motioned swishing a basketball into the net, “Nice man, so who’s your Cher?” Sam felt it was necessary to joke around with Sunny seeing as how he was the one who put him in the infirmary in the first place. Sam looked to Sunny and said, “Well your up and moving how about I sneak you out side, see if you can get some fresh air.”
Sam thought for a second about the best way to sneak him out and decided the window was the best option. “Come on I insist, worst case scenario you’ll end up back in here and they already got a bed ready for you so I think it would be okay.”
Ethan stood up and laughed as Sam made a retro reference, he shook his head and said, "Kinda hard to find one of those when you shine like me." As Sam mentioned maybe sneaking out Ethan glanced out the window, damn they were on the second story and he didn't think being out of the sun right now was a good idea and he didn't have enough solar energy to fly yet, maybe enough to float but barley.
"Slight problem in that Ice Teen, we're on the second story and it's not a good idea for me to be out of the sun right now." He opened up the window and stuck out his hand which began working as a solar panel sucking in solar energy at a steady rate.

Sam smiled as he walked to the window and put his leg threw it, they were on the second story but that's was so cool about it. From what it looked like Sam was a jumper thinking about committing suicide that was if people didn’t know he was a mutant. Sam jumped and then created a slide leading from the window to the lawn. He landed on the ground and stood up motioning for Sunny to follow. “Come on.”
