The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Specter had finally gotten out to do some sight seeing. After his fight with the rock guy he had almost forgot about his plans. However as time went by he had gotten bored, and finally decided to do it. Now he was in Time Square. This spot was known world wide because of the New Year's party that was held here annualy. Specter thought it was a good place to start his tour of the city. What was odd however is that Specter wasn't alone this time. For some reason Sam had decided to tag along saying that he had wanted to get out of the mansion. Oh well atlest he wasn't drooling over that rich goth girl anymore. Specter took a moment to wonder how Arisa was getting along. It had been some time sense they had last meet. Just then Specter noticed something strange out of the corner of his eye. There was somebody milling around in the crowd that appeared far to over dressed for this time of year. Not a single inch of the person was visible, and as Specter continued to watch he thought he saw wiskers appear from under a hood. That couldn't be really could it? Well why not after all Specter did know a guy who was a robotic car, and one who had rocks for arms. Really was there anything that would really be surpirzing anymore? Specter nodged Sam, and then nodded over in the direction of the hooded figure to see if the ice controling mutant could tell anything more than he could.
Sara had a problem. She was hungry. That was a painful problem. The solution was to get money. Of course this also meant that Sara had to go out into the public.
She was dressing in a long light weight fabric coat. A hood was tugged over her head, and her furry paw like hands were tucked into her pockets. Her right arm was covered with a leather arm band, covering from the back of her knuckles, up under her sleeve, to her elbow.
She kept to the shadows of the crowd as much as she could. Tucking close to the buildings so that she had less of a chance being openly gawked at. Every now and then she lifted her chin enough to look at the individuals nearest to her. Looking for who was going to make the next un knowing donation to her pocket.
Not many were all that well off. Sara preferred to steal from those that didn’t really need the cash, but that was getting more and more rare. So her targets settled on someone she saw looking at her and nudging his companion… Oh that was just asking for trouble…
She let her strides shorted, as she let a much taller man step in front of her, and between her and her target. Trying to make herself disappear in the crowd that was the sea of people. Now just to sneak up on the two. Sara tried approaching then from behind, on their other side.

Sam took a breath of fresh air stretching his arms and yawning he was glad to get out of the mansion and into the pubic. Problem was he wasn’t sure that Marcus was to thrilled about him tagging along. But Sam felt that Marcus was in need of a friend. Sure Marcus acted tough and like he doesn’t care bout anyone but Sam was sure that he just needed someone to talk to.
Sam’s yawn was cut short as Marcus nudged him and then nodding to a hooded figure that was slowly approaching them. Sam smiled curious on what on what the figure was doing but as quickly the figure appeared it had disappeared lost in the crowd. Sam smiled and then looked around to see what and where that figure was. “What you thinking about doing Marcus?”
Sam had seen the person as well that was good. However it seemed he had lost sight of the figure moments after achiving it. Specter however was better trained in this sort of thing. Ever so often he would catch the slightest glimps as the crowd moved. It seemed the hooded person was trying to move around the two men.
Specter wanted to keep an eye on the figure so he moved over to one of the subway map displays, and used it's reflective surface to keep an eye out behind him. This trick had worked before so there was no reason why it shouldn't work a second time. It was impossible to tell who this person was, or what they wanted. Heck with all that covering Specter couldn't even tell if it was male or female. For all he knew this was just some homeless person who had been driven slightly insane from living on the New York streets. It was unfortunate, but all to common in a city this size. All he and his compain could do is wait and see what would develop.
Sara leaned to the side, as her quarry seemed to notice her. Well one was tracking her better than the other. Ok so Sara had decided on witch of the two was the easier target.
She slipped behind a short lady with a tall hat. Moving to walk on her other side. Moving to walk past the two. Her arm reached around and behind the woman with the tall hat, and she tried to pick the pocket of the one who seemed to track her movement less.

Sam looked around trying to keep his face straightforward looking into a reflection of himself and saw a hand come up from behind. Sam smiled at the use of his powers even in the crowded intersection nobody noticed but him. Using one of his old stealth tricks he created a dense ice crystal one powerful enough to reflect everything that was going on. Sam smiled as the hooded figure was reaching for his wallet Sam waited for a second and did a quick pivot and crouched so he was eye level with the hooded figure. Smiling at the hooded figure that was mostly behind a short woman with a tall hat. He looked at the hood and smiled, “Do you need some help with something?” if it haven’t been for Marcus pointing out the suspicious hooded one Sam wouldn’t have been ready for it and well, he would have been out of a lot of money.
Specter continued to watch the figures grim covered reflection. It was difficult to keep track of things with all the pollution covering the glass. So when Sam made a mirror out of ice Specter was mildly impressed. Well that is deffently handy, he thought as he glaced at Sam. Just then Specter lost sight of his target as a woman past by with a large hat. Sam however must of had a better vantage point because before Specter realized what was going on he turned to the stranger, and asked if they needed any help.
As Specter turned to lean agenst the map the woman in the hat continued to walk by giving the trio an uppity look. Specter noticed that the figure had a bandaged hand reach up towards Sam. The person must have been trying to pick his pocket when they where caught. Specter still couldn't make out any details about the person as the hood hide the face in shadows. So he decided that he would try alittle scare tactic in hopes to be left in peace.
"Next time you might want to ask for a hand out. In this day and age there is no telling who you might end up trying to steal from." With that Specter made his eyes glow with green fire for a brief second. If this was just some homeless person looking to make a quick buck he figured the display of his powers would be enough to scare them away.
Sara frowned as her hand missed the wallet. Instead she got a face full of her target’s face. She straightened to her full 6 foot hight before tilting her head back to look him in the eye better.
“Do you need some help with something?”
Sara’s chin was visible in the light and she tilted her head. The mirror of ice wasn’t there a moment ago. “Nice trick.” She had to admit. Most people didn’t catch her in the act of theft till after she was on her way, having already pocketed their wallets. “I can deal with things on my own.” He didn’t pull back. Instead she took a step closer when the lady with the big had had walked away. Making it so no one coul walk into her arm that was still out stretched.
"Next time you might want to ask for a hand out. In this day and age there is no telling who you might end up trying to steal from."
“Cool eyes.” Sara’s chin lifted again so that her eye reflected the light from the ice reflections. Making it look like her eyes glowed, with an amber color, under her hood. “no one ever just hands me anything.” She smiled with her feline mouth, displaying the elegantly pointed feline fangs.
For a second, Sara stood there displaying her teeth, then she jerked forward, opening her mouth and chomping down on the air in front of the money man’s nose. Using that as a distraction. Her right hand shot forward, aiming to strike him and push him, in the gut, while the other hand moved for the wallet again. Then in a blur of motion, she twisted on her heals, and headed off, shoving people in the crowd out of her way.

Sam blinked and then was pushed back, She was fast Sam thought to himself as he say her run away. Sam caught his breath and then felt his back pocket realizing his wallet was gone. Saying in an angry and sarcastic tone loud enough so the running cat could hear him, “Aww that is a bad kitty.” Sam jumped the gun like his pants were on fire and he booked it after the cat. “I am going to make a violin out of you.” Sam couldn’t tell if Marcus was following them or not but at that moment he didn’t care. No one ever saw what was in Sam’s wallet, he had personal information in there like a fake government badge that passes almost anywhere he needs it to, not to mention a few fake id’s.
Sam was losing her and he was running out of breath he had to up it a bit. Sam didn’t really have time to be subtle. He was going to lose her and everything he had. Sam jumped in the air and created a slide of ice and started to cover ground. Sam whizzed over the crowds of people as they screamed or ran some just ignored it and others clapped like it was a show. All the while Sam didn’t keep his eyes off of the cat burglar, “Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.” Sam taunted as he tried to make up ground.
So that was the explination for being so covered up. The would be theif was a cat woman. Talk about getting the bad end of the x-gene rullete. Still she seemed to be able to handle herself fairly well. This became more evident as She attacked Sam. Specter quickly got on gaurd incase she tried anything agenst him, but instead she ran off in the other direction. Specter was ready for that to be the end of things however Sam had a diffrent idea. He went running after the cat woman as if his life depened on it. What the heck had gotten into that guy?
Specter went running after the pair, and it wasn't long before he saw Sam make a slide out of ice. Oh that was smooth, what was he thinking? The crowds reaction was typical, some paniced, others thought it was a show, and still others just ignored the whole thing. At lest the crowd had parted enough for Specter to get a clearer view of the cat as she ran away. She was fast, to fast for him to catch up easily.
Well if he couldn't catch her maybe Specter could slow her down. Stopping next to a trash can Specter grabbed the first thing he could, a discarded soda can. That would do just fine. Getting into his best pitchers stance Specter hurled then can at the back of the woman's head. Then guilded it with his powers to make sure it hit it's mark. There hopefully that would slow her down enough for Sam to catch up.
Ok. So stealing from mutant wasn’t the best idea in the hole wide world. Sara needed money though. It was one of those things that came with being a sort of honest thief. She paid for her food with other people’s money. It’s not what you steal, it’s who you steal if from.
“I am going to make a violin out of you.”
Sara twisted around mid step to give her target a wave. “Kudos on the creativity. You can guess how many repetitive people can get.” Sara spun back around vaulting over a group that didn’t get out of her way fast enough. She wasn’t even breathing hard yet. Call it a little side effect from the healing factor. As she ran she opened the wallet. Oh some of the things were pretty interesting. None of her business, but interesting. Not that anyone would believe Sara.
“Here Kitty, Kitty, Kitty.”
Sara pivoted around again, waving the open wallet. “No dummy, dummy, dummy.” She vaulted over the hood of a car, sliding her tail over the hood, as she spun around. Pulling out half of the bills, and shoving those in a pocket. She folded the wallet and was about to put that in her pocket when something hit her in the back of the head.
“Ahhh!” Her head was knocked forward and she lost her balance. She ended up tumbling head under tail, and skidding on her back side. Thank the makers of all, for leather pants. They were better then getting scraped and having to heal. In the process she dropped the wallet. That skidded off to the middle of the crowds feet.
Sara was back, crouched, with the same movement that she had gone down in. She glanced back at the ice man, that was making fast progress with… Ice… Great. It still looked like she had a chance to get the rest of the wallet. So she dug her claws into the cement, and made a dash for the rest of the money.

Sam was thrilled when a can caught her in the head Sam owed Marcus one. With the cat tumbling Sam made up for the head start she had on him. Sam was feeling a mixture of anger and worry, he was angry cause someone stole his wallet and he was worried cause his wallet had things that weren’t meant to be exposed to. Sam noticed as the cat girl regained from her tumble and booked it to a section of people. That’s where Sam would get her. Sam continued to build up speed and then angled his slide up as he built speed. The girl was in the crowed now and before she could escape Sam had to cut off her get away. Building up speed and momentum Sam ended the slide in the air so he was falling directly on top of the crowd, which he was sure cat girls was in. Making a circle motion with his hands Sam raised up a dome of solid ice 20 feet round.
Sam crashed right though the dome and then the whole covered itself. Sam armored up completely so no one could see his face then yelled to the people trapped in the dome, “Every body Stay calm I am looking for a cat girl. You help me find her and this will end quickly.” The dome was somewhat dim but there was enough light for the people to help Sam find his cat burglar. He smiled then yelled, “Your trapped like a rat, and now kitty give me my wallet, you can have the money I just want the wallet other wise your going to be stuck in here for a while.” Sam was more serious than he has ever been; he just hoped no one would see this back at the mansion.
Specter watched as the can flew into the back of the woman's head. Bulleyes eye the cat was down. Now it was up to Sam to get to her before she recovered. This however didn't take long. That old addage about cats always landing on their feet seemed to prove true. It almost looked like the can hadn't done anything at all, and he was sure the woman was going to get away. However instead of going forward she turned back for some reason. Sam was almost ontop of her now while Specter was still a good sprint away. Then Sam did the stupidest thing ever. He put a doom of ice up around himself the cat woman and a handfull of other people.
Damn it Sam what are you thinking? What could be so important for him to go all out like this? Sure Specter had pride, but the woman had only snapped at Sam. This wasn't a good way to earn peoples trust. Not after the way everyone was acting after the regestration. Specter considered breaking down the ice wall with his ecto blast. No so far he was the one remaining calm there was no reason to add to the pandamoniam. All he could really do now was stand back and wait. Sam knew what he was doing; right?
Sara slid, low, across the ground, past the people’s legs, and snagged the wallet. She was successful there, but that wasn’t her problem anymore. She ended up skidding against a wall of ice that was rising up around her and a group of people. He landed into the middle of the orb of ice, and the norms flattened themselves against the edge of the wall. None inside the orb were thinking this was a cool show. Instead they were shrieking, and shoving each other.
Sara pocketed the wallet inside her inner vest pocket. She stood up and pulled her hood back away from her face. Sara shoved her way to the center where people separated even more. They gave her a wider space, making Sara be able to control the un easy feeling of claustrophobia with some deep breathing. Practice from being in those tiny, dark, rooms at the registration camps. She scanned the smooth walls for a weakness or openings, but didn’t find any.
“You know, no matter what your goals are, trapping human’s in small spaces is generally looked down upon.” She slowly talked around the sphere. Looking between the walls, and the other mutant. “I really hate elementalists. How about this, you let them out of here, or I’ll share with them what’s in your wallet besides money.”

Sam was enraged when she was talking to him like he was taking the innocent bystanders hostage. Sam was even more furious that she tried to make a deal with him. Sam just wanted his wallet back yes there was the id’s and the fake badge but what Sam really wanted was tapped to the back of the badge it was the only thing he really wanted. After his great escape from the company that used him as a weapon he acquired a picture that he would gladly give his life for, it was the only thing that proved that Sam had a life before he was kidnapped it was a picture of him and his little brother. Sam wanted and needed that picture.
Fighting the urge to freak out and just freeze the inside of the dome he spoke trying to hold back from grinding his teeth. “I was never going to hurt them to begin with they just got in the way.” Sam jumped from the wall and landed near the cat girl almost whispering so only she could here him, “Take the money just give me back everything else, and then everyone can leave.” By now Sam was trying to fight back a tear as his rage grew he wanted his wallet and all the contents the money wasn’t a big deal it was everything else in there.
Sam could here the sirens of the police coming off in the distance he tried to hide his anxiousness but he didn’t want anybody to find out that he created a dome in the middle of time square that kind of attention bring uninvited guests.
