Sam examined his new room in pride, it was almost completed, there was just a few things missing. The first thing that cam to mind was a small fridge or a pet of some kind. Something to liven the room up a bit. Sam already had most of the stuff kids his age wanted; among them was a Television, I PS3 and a Mac book, along with a decent size book shelve. Sam walked over to his bed and sat down, giving a large lion’s yawn. He was tired it had been a long day, so he took off his shirt and passed out on his bed.

Sam was asleep within 5 minutes and was beginning to toss and turn every time he had one of those dreams from the past. It always started the same way, it was dark, and the only light that was giving was from a covered moon and fire, the fire and the moon reflected off of the rain. But this wasn’t ordinarily rain it was blood rain. There was also a line of thousands of people just looking at Sam calling him and screaming the only clear words came from the faces that looked like they were afraid. The only audible word coming from them was “Monster”. Sam just looked at them with tears running down his face as he muttered, “I am sorry.”

It was beginning to feel cold to deja in her room as she rubbed her skin,the covers were not affective and she wondered what was going on. Moving her hand to the lamp,she cut it on. As she looked around,all she saw was pictures and her desk. Everything seemed normal so where was the feeling of an ice skating rink happening at. She began to get of bed,putting on her blue warm slippers as her robe was wrapped around her body,nicely. Not wanting to wake anyone she slowly turned the nob hoping nobody would hear. Her eyes moved to the room beside her as she heard an interesting sound.

"Monster!''

Memories came back to Deja when she had received those same kind of dreams that would pick at her for nights. It seemed like it was unforgiving and would never stop. Like your mind is trapped in a horror movie and you can't get yourself out. It feels so real even though it's not but the mind plays tricks on you. She decided to be noisy as she opened his door..closing it softly as she came in. Her footsteps were very soft as she decided to try something. She had always been good with dreams and she wanted to try out something very not often seen. Dream walking. She had researched it on the net and it was a way of getting into someones mind and seeing what they say. being the manipulator maybe she could help the guy. As she was inches away from him she felt the chills of cold hit her face and it was unpleasant. Her hands finally touched his softly as her eyes suddenly shut sending her into his head. As she looked on she saw herself, staring at what was occurring. Her face was hit with some rain that was red. She didn't understand what was happening to Sam as she noticed the people chant these horrible words. It seemed like they were going to hurt him. She wondered if anyone could see her.

“I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry” was that Sam could say as the faces became larger and more afraid. These were people he killed, people that died at his hands or because of him. The bodies disappeared as their heads remained. They started to yell louder and louder, “Monster” then another word came up “Murder”. The words became louder and louder as all the faces started to chat it as they swirled around Sam. Tears started to fall down Sam’s face as he started to cry, he couldn’t deal with this dream again. He knew what was coming next, but this time was different. As his tears turned to blood, he screamed as loud as he could “I’M SORRY.” At once all the face disappeared; there was only the blood rain, and the fires of chaos off in the distance. Sam turned around waiting for HIM to show up, he knew it was coming it was in every one of his nightmares.

But something caught his eye it was a girl. Sam ran over to her not sure what was going on. “Who are you? You have never been in this dream before.” Sam was utterly confused he didn’t know what else was coming next.

Sam’s stomach dropped as he looked to the flames, footsteps could be heard off in the distance, it was HIM he was coming. There was nothing anyone could do about it. Each foot steep sounded like thunder to Sam, as blood started to pour from his eyes. Sam fell to the ground and started to cry knowing how this was going to happen.

As the people began to proceed off Deja looked shocked. This was his dream,how he had dreamnt it up. She began to see the flames that were burning hot and she couldn't help but take a step back. Turning toward the guy she noticed he could see her. This was amazing, it seemed as she was now apart of this dream not just a watcher. Th stomps became louder, each foot made an echo that was heard across this place. Walking over to Sam she looked him in the eyes.

''Who I am is not important, whats important is that you don't hide. THe only way to beat this is to overcome this dream. You are strong and you are the master of this nightmare. You must not let yourself get discouraged. You must face this dream once and for all. I'm here to help you but you need to help yourself aswell.'' The foot steps began to grow larger as Deja looked on..her hand created a shield of some sort covering them. Being this was a dream she had manipulation over things.

Sam wiped his eyes smearing the blood all over his face; he thought that it was pretty obvious of “it’s my past.” With that there was laughing in the distance as a shadowed man walked into sight, his footsteps sounding like thunder. As he approached Sam got more and more nervous he knew what was going to happen. The figure stopped and stood there only his eyes and teeth were visible at first then the fire started to grow. It was his old boss Jackson, his dark features lit up in the fire as he held up one of the mutant suppressing collars. “Come here boy.” Agent Jackson started to laugh a bone-chilling laugh as a figure walked up next to him.

Sam looked to the girl and said, “I know I shouldn’t hide he isn’t the one that scares me.” As Sam said that a figure walked next to Agent Jackson. Sam stood next to the girl, no longer crying, “He’s here.” Sam then raised his hand as a sword appeared in his hand.
Sam jumped over the girl’s hand and charged for the figure next to Jackson. Sam’s sword clashed with another sword, sparks flew everywhere lighting the new figures face. Sam glared as he jumped back; he was looking at a mirror of him self with a darker more evil look on his face. Sam gulped he hated this dream. Sam looked at himself in disgust as he saw eyes full of murderous intent.

Deja's eyes scanned at the guy's face..it was Sam but how? His worst nightmare was himself? Those eyes were so evil, the feeling just brushed through her. What was she to do to help someone from themselves. As Deja looked at the guy next to her with the sword..she was nervous. Her heart was beating pretty fast right now and she was trying to think of something to conjure up and say.

''Your worst enemy is yourself? You have to know that thats the old you and you have to get rid of him. You can always control your actions..you just have to fight for that right.''

Deja turned to the figure of Sam as she was amazed at how different they looked but at the same time the same. The eyes were so cold and full of hate..almost like the feeling of death anmd destruction. Deja had never been into someone's head before and wondered how she was going to save not only Sam but herself aswell. Deja let go of her forcefield knowing it wouldn't do ehr any good as she faced the guy next to her. Her eyes stared at his sword which was really sharp.

''So what happens in your dream next?'' The only way for her to understand was to go through it with him.

Sam started laughing as his evil self started to laugh they started to talk in unison, “I’ll show you.” The two Sam’s ran at each other full sped almost creating dust from behind them. As they got closer and closer it started to rain blood again. As the body less faces started to float around in the sky screaming “monster” in fear.

As Sam and the evil Sam clashed swords the blood around them stopped and scattered off n every direction. The evil Sam started laughing as he started to grow horns of ice. The sounds of swords clashing echoed throughout the black abyss the dream was coming to an end.

Sam forced himself away as he saw the transformation of the evil Sam. It was the same every dream. The evil Sam would often turn into something similar to a demon covered in ice. The dream would end after being devoured by the demon and Sam would wake up in the pool of sweat.

As the demon came closer to Sam something was off it was slower, and it seemed a lot smaller as usual. Sam smiled this dream was different; it has to be the girl. Sam looked down at her; as though she was a dwarf no Sam was bigger. Sam was a giant the same size as the demon. Sam smiled looking down on the girl talking with a loud godlike echoing voice, “After this dream you’re telling me your name and I’ll have to thank you properly, you just being here changed the nightmare into a dream. Thank you.”

Sam started laughing as he started beating the demon to a pulp. Each punch Sam delivered sounded like thunder. Sam then raised his hands and lighting struck his hands. Sam smiled as he formed the lightening into a sword. Using his own weakness Sam delivered the finishing blow into the demon.

Deja looked on as the echoes began to stop..and Sam had grown big, like Giant big. As him and the demon went at it, Deja just watched on analyzing everything. She was so impressed with him conquering his fear of this evil inside him. Evil may never leave us but that doesn't mean we can't keep it on lock. As Sam looked at Deja, she gave him a smile and nodded. Her body began to dissappear, almost like a ghost as she saw less and less of the dream. She didn't know what was happening but she could tell the dream was ending. Suddenly her spirit popped back into her body which was asleep as she took a deep breath..awakening. Her eyes wide opened she moved her hand to her heart, not believing what had happened. Looking down she noticed Sam and she just let a lite smile out.

There were no more screams, just a smile on his face and that made Deja proud. Maybe she could make a difference in others. Maybe she wasn't as vulnerable as she thought. Sure, she was on the short side but that didn't mean she didn't have the heart. Moving to his ear she whispered something. ''It's Deja.'' With that she began to walk to his door.

As the girl faded from the dream, the ice demon disappeared and everything else went white. Sam was still sleeping he knew he was, he was in a big empty white area full of nothingness. Sam turned as he heard laughing; he traced the sound back to Agent Jackson. Sam smiled “So what’s so funny? I just beat you.”

Jackson smiled and laughed again, his laugh echoed through out the white void, “Yea, you might have beat me here in your head but out there, you can’t win.” Sam shivered he knew that it would be a matter of time before they would come for him. Neena and the rest of the mansion members would toss him out on his but the second they come. Jackson was fading Sam was waking up but just before he woke Jackson said, ”Where coming for you Sam.” Sam snapped up out of bed and immediately fell out of his bed. “Deja, wait.” Sam got up rubbing his head and walked over to her. Sam gave her a big hug now tears streaming down his face, “Thank you so much for your help, I owe you one big time. If you ever need help with anything don’t hesitate to ask.” Letting go of her he backed up wipeing away the tears that now stopped, “Also could you keep this between us?” Sam really hopped that Deja would only think it’s a dream and not his past and in turn go tell Neena who would then never trust him. Sam waited to hear from Deja trying to hold back a nervous smile.

Deja turned her face as she looked at Sam. He seemed nervous which he shouldn't be. Deja still fully remembered what had happened and she knew it was difficult to know that someone knows something about you that others don't. Deja had been through that before so she understood where he was coming from. The whole, I owe you was comforting but wasn't necessary. She did this because she was noisy and just very brave.

''Look..you don't owe me anything. I did this to help you out, nothing else. I don't ask for anything but you know..a friend would be nice to have around this mansion.'' Deja gave him a smirk as she looked at him in the eye. He was taller than her so she had to look up which sucked but she was used to it.

''I won't tell anyone what happened, if your really worried. I promise! That was something that I really don't think people need to know about. It's your business and if you ever want to tell someone, that's up to you not me. Your secret is safe with me.'' Deja soon gave him a hug back as she ,moved to the door. Her eyes turned to him once more.

''By the way..cut on the heat.'' Deja soon bit her lip as she opened the door and closed it..heading to her room. Sleep was something shed need right now though she didn't know how she would after she had a full recap of the dream in her head.

Sam smiled, “you want a friend you got one.” He smiled as she left and he went to sleep knowing that he would sleep sound tonight.
