MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. Sam found himself on the basketball courts of the mansion by himself. Thinking about what has happened over the past couple of weeks Sam was surprised he didn’t really have any body to shoot hoops with. Most of the people he met were girls, which wasn’t a problem, but hardly any of them lived at the mansion, so spending time with them there was kind of limited.
Sam ran up for a dunk, he jumped but the ball hit the rim so hard it flew off in the opposite direction, as it rolled to the grass, Sam eyed it thinking that he would have to walk all the way over there. That was when he noticed Nathan his pyro-mancing sparring buddy walking by. Sam clapped his hands around his mouth and yelled “hey Nathan how bout tossing the ball over here?”

Nathan was walking by enjoying the day when he heard someone call his name. He turned and saw Sam. He noticed a basketball had near him. Sam must have been playing basketball and the ball must have gotten away from him. Nathan noticed that Sam was playing by himself, so he picked up the ball and walked over to where Sam was standing.

Sam smiled as Nathan asked if he could join him for basketball. “Yea, you can join. I was kind of getting tired of playing by myself.” Sam thought for a second, "so you just want to shoot around? Or play some one on one?”

"How about we play horse? But I need to warm up first."
Nathan started to move around a little bit while dribbling the basketball. He took a few shots at the basket. He made a couple of them so he was happy. It had been a while since he had played basketball. So he figured that horse would be the best game for the both of them.

Sam smiled as Nathan dribbled the ball a bit after suggesting horse. Sam was really glad he finally had some one to play with. Sam decided to stretch for a bit while Nathan practiced his shots. Sam was a little surprised when Nathan had sunk more that a few baskets. “Ready when you are, you can have the first shot to.” He smiled again, Sam’s game was basketball but, when he played he was far better down by the rim than at the top of the key, he could make the two pointers but, if Nathan wanted to win he was going to have to make the threes.

Now that Nathan was decently warmed up and fairly certain he would not pull anything he took his first shot. Nathan started the game off with a standard free throw shot. He was only slightly surprised when it went in. Quickly getting the rebound, he passed the ball back to Sam so he could take his shot.
