The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Voltaire strolled around through the corridors of the mansion hoping to find the Musical classroom he was so eagered to see. He hadn't played piano in a while and was hoping he could brush up his skills. He followed his map until he found the classroom. He opened the door and saw a dusty piano. He wiped the dust of the piano and coughed because of the dust. Then he cleaned the seet and he sat down and opened the cover, showing the bright white and black keys of the piano. He softly touched the keys to get a feel for them. He then posistioned his hand on the keys and he closed his eyes, He slowly started playing the piano and the beautiful sound of the piano filled the room and Voltaire started feeling home again. He moved a bit with his head on the music he was playing

Ezekiel White never had cared for music a ton, but he was always on the lookout to meet new mutants. The sound of the piano rang through the air and bit his ears with sweet harmony. Reminded him of the good 'ole days when Shma would torture his father. Excellent... now I'm thinking of that again... time to move on. He walked into the classroom from whence the music was coming and found a young man sitting at the instrument, playing away.
Zeke was never one for formalities, only getting down to business and showing others the truth and situation. He didn't want to leave doubts in the mind of the boy. He placed his arm on the head of the piano and spoke, "Hi there, I'm Ezekiel White, professor here."
"Good for you." He replied with sarcasm. He didn't like to be interrupted while playing so he kept it a bit short till he was finished. When he came to the end of the song he opened his eyes. He looked at the proffesor and said:" I'm Malik, student here." "Might i ask why you interrupt a person playing the piano?" He said trying not to sound cold.

Zeke took the sarcasm lightly and waited while the young man finished. Possibly he didn't like being interrupted, and possibly Zeke had been rude about his introduction, but Zeke wasn't one to be formal, and didn't much care about the young man's feelings. He was much more interested in his abilities and personality. And from what he had already shown, this young man had spunk, probably a lot of it. So Zeke waited, and waited, and finally when the song came to an end the boy addressed him.
Zeke could detect a hint of coolness in the kid's reply, and the reason for the temperature in the voice was found in his sentence. He didn't like being interrupted. Duly noted... Zeke kept his thoughts moving. Could this boy be one who might be interested? He wasn't sure yet, but he would keep probing. "Hi Malik, sorry for the interruption." Zeke swept his hand accross the back of the piano and then placed it to his forhead to scratch an itch.
"I guess you might say I'm interested in meeting some of the students here that I haven't met yet." He paused for a second to sigh, "Students are always important in days like these, and I like to make sure you feel well taken care of and important... you seemed alone, but I couldn't tell if it was by chance or by choice."

This teacher seemed suprisingly interrested in him. He didn't feel very confortable with the questions he is asking but it was rude to just stand up and leave in front of a teacher. "I was looking for the music room and found it, i prefer to be here alone." he replied. He didn't want that to come over that he was bothered by Ezekiel's presence.

"Ahh... so it is by choice!" Zeke chuckled a bit. He walked around to the front of the piano and glance at the cieling above. We need new plaster. Then his eyes dropped back to the student and he walked around to the opposite side of the piano, looking the boy in the face. He seemed cold for sure, but to break that shell maybe could lead to wonderful things. Then again, he might be a simple mutant with a power like falling asleep on command or something like that... best to ask.
"So, Malik... what do you do... as a mutant I mean."
"So, Malik... what do you do... as a mutant I mean."
"Always that question." Voltaire thought to himself. He didn't like to talk about his power because of his control issues. But seeing he is a teacher he would find out one way or another. "I shock or blow things up on contact." He said quickly. His hand shifted over the keys again and he was softly laying his hand on them. He didn't want to make him sound like a bomb walking around ready to blow up so he left the entire part of human contact out of it. He would find out if he touched him but he hoped the teachers around here where smart enough to figure that out on there own.

Another chuckles emerged from Zeke's lips. This kid had some fire in his eyes, a bite in his tounge. Zeke decided right then and there that he liked the kid very much, and hoped they could get better acquainted. "Yep, always that question. Do you think I'd allow the conversation to run without bringing it up? Would anyone?" He stared deep into the boys eyes, now being serious, "Your ability defines you. To a human, you're nothing more than a kid with dangerous powers beyond your control, and they definitely think you should be exterminated because of that." He paused a second to let it sink in...
"They hate you Malik. Most of them do. Wouldn't it be better if we were all just friends? No human and mutant conflict. The world would be a better and safer place if someone simply declared that we need to co-exist." He paused again, rubbed his chin a little. Dang... I need a drink. It was good thing that he didn't reach out and try to shake the boy's hand at the beginning of the meeting. If the boy wasn't overemphasizing his powers, a touch like that could be fatal. Zeke wouldn't take any chances. He couldn't ever risk making contact with the boy.
He drove his recent point home, "How amazing could our world be if humans and mutants could live in harmony, without hatred? If hating humans and mutants alike were dealt with, removed from the stage."

Voltaire didn't like this teacher one bit as he said that. It reminded him off his father and how much he hated him since he found out he was a mutant. His right hand started displaying red electricity around it from his powers about how angry he became from that thought. "How amazing could our world be if humans and mutants could live in harmony, without hatred? If hating humans and mutants alike were dealt with, removed from the stage."
"That would be impossible." Voltaire replied. "Humans can't even co-exist with different ethnic groups, let alone with mutants." He continued. "Let them sort out there own problems first while we do with ours" he continued. His power where in check again when he became calm again

Zeke spotted the spout of anger and liked it. It was exactly what someone like him needed. It was a moment of truth. A revealer of the spirit. When his hand starting glowing read with lightning, it showed exactly what he thought. Reguardless of this kid's belief that it could happen, it was certainly true that this boy rathered that it would happen. This kid had probably been hurt by some human before. Hatred breeds hatred... I know that better than anyone.
But the impossible statement couldn't be allowed to stand. In fact, statements that ever included impossiblity couldn't be alowed to stand. If the world just all believed that the best thoughts were impossible, it would never move forward, only backward. No, someone had to say the hard sayings, and more importantly, perform the hard performaces. "You're wrong Malik. It's not impossible." Zeke stopped and stood up straight. "But only if you choose to do something about it. Only if any of us choose to do anything about it." He reached up and scratched his head.
"Who has the power between humans and mutants? Us! So who's responsibility is it to repair the relationship? Us! We have the power, so we have the responsibility! I believe that this world can change... but I have to be willing to move. I have to get off my butt and do something. Look at the civil rights movement in the twentieth century. Feelings have changed. Maybe not everywhere, but they've changed. We can affect change too... we just have to remove the people causing the hatred, and implant people who restore the trust." His rant was constantly under his control. Zeke had planned every word with precision, trying to affect the boy's mind.
Like most young kids these days, he believed nothing could change. He was "Waiting on the World to Change", but nothing ever would with that mindset. So Zeke had to work to crush it. This kid had to understand that things could change, they just always need someone to change them.

"Are you talking about genocide? " Voltaire asked. "removing people who opose is what hitler did in the second world war." He continued. "We cannot act like god just because they don't like us and we don't like them, we will lower ourselved to there level." The more Ezekiel spoke about his vision of the world the more Voltaire doubted of his role as a teacher and the more he thought of him as a ranter for evil plots to start a new world order. "Removing people isn't up to us." he said to put his point across that no man has a right to judge somebody by there opinion no matter how terrible it is.

The boy had even more spunk than Zeke gave him credit for. He seemed to come back with an argument that Zeke was proud of. No, the boy hadn't fully understood the statement Zeke had made, and was questioning the whole genocide angle from a misunderstanding, but he still had fire. Even lightning you might say. Which was good.
Zeke smiled and shook his head slighty, "No, Malik, not genocide. Genocide demands murder of innocent people who have done nothing. What I'm talking about is justice. Justice on people who are not innocent. Justice demands removal of a guilty people who have caused a problem. When I say 'remove', I mean just that. Take them out of a position to work their evil any more than they do.
Opinions are meaniningless. You don't remove someone because they have an opinion. You remove somebody because they violently express their opinion. The registration act was the human's answer to this justice. They went too far. But their action demonstrates a point: something needs to be done to stop the violence between our species.
Understand, I speak against mutants as much, if not more, than humans." He paused and sighed, "We have done much to hurt our relations."
Tilting his head to one side, Zeke looked the boy square in the eye, "Would you have those who openly hate and torment each other be allowed to do so would intervention. If you saw a child here killing another of lesser skill with his powers, wouldn't you intervene? My thoughts are the same, only on a national and even international scale. Malik, we don't 'act like god', we act like we should. We act as our duty requires, but few choose to answer the requirement." Would the boy ever understand? Zeke didn't know. He hoped he had been able to communicate effectively with the boy.

the teacher had a good point but Voltaire didn't fully share his point of vieuw. "Taking them out of position will only cause more problems." He replied."The people you remove will band together and your just replacing one problem with another." He said. He thought of that because he already heard of a band of Humans that want to kill all mutants just because there mutants.

This boy thinks, that's good. Zeke walked toward the piano and thought about placing his hand on Malik's shoulder. He thought better of it about half way there, remembering the boy's power. and he brought his hand back to his own side. With simple sincere eyes stared at him in the face. "Yes, there will always be problems. There will always be hate. There will always be terror. There will always be fighting. But somehow, through some good we can do, we can change the overwhelming sentiment. Some may band together to fight us, but my dream is one where they are the minority. Where their numbers are so small they are discouraged from their evil. My dream is one of hope, even in the chaos."
Voltaire listened to Zeke's proposal. Somehow he made a little bit of sense but Voltaire wondered how he was thinking to accomplish that. He pondered a bit over it and decided to just ask him: "You have a point but how do you think you are going to accomplish that?" "It isn't like you can start a petition on it." he continued. He crossed his arms together and leaned a bit back looking at the teacher with the crazy ideas.
