The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

ooc: Hope you don't mind me popping in- good chance for Raina to meet others! hehe
ic: Raina hummed to herself while balancing the two crates of musical equipment in her hands. It took her a moment of positioning and trying not to fall to jimmy the door open. It was a pretty damn heavy door- it was no wonder the music room didn't have any burn damage! Nothing could get through that door!
She was oblivious to the other people in the room at first- as far as she knew she was the only one who'd been in here and she'd been avoiding her conversation with Dr. Che by keeping herself busy cleaning and arranging this room. Tomorrow someone was coming in to tune the piano and the day after new skins for the drums were arriving.
Bells chimed and clanked togeather as she lost her footing a little "oop!" she regained it with her back to the men still humming and started unloading her gear on a nearby table. She absentmindedly narrated her thoughts as she went. "Ok, this goes here, and oh I need to get something for that awfulw all paper- and oh this needs to be restrung and this poster- oh and the piano-" she turned to face the piano and that's when she saw Glare- was it? She couldn't quite remember only meeting him the once- and a new face.
"Oh! Excuse me!" she said a little shocked turning completley to face them while putting down the rest of her things. "I- er... I'm the music teacher!" she blushed.

Zeke chuckled slightly at the boy's comment. "No, you don't start a petition. People don't respond to pieces of paper. You must..." He paused a second as a red-head stumbled in and declared herself the music teacher. Then he finished his thought. "You must act." He emphasized the last word then turned to face the newcomer.
"Welcome to your own classroom then." He nodded his head slightly. He did not enjoy being interrupted, especially in this conversation where so much hinged on it. But he couldn't completely dismiss another teacher either, so he converted his mood to a lighter tone. He spoked without moving, just staring at her. "Hi there. Raina isn't it? I'm Professor Ezekiel White, moniker Glare. I teach Philosophy and Religion here... idealist you might call me. It's funny, I briefly remember meeting you in one of our faculty meetings... or was it someplace else?"
Zeke was explaining his plans of action when a red haired girl walked into the room. She seemed to carry allot of stuff into the classroom. This made Voltaire think that she was a teacher but she didn't seem to notice him or Zeke. Whem she was done she finnaly noticed them. "Oh! Excuse me!" she said a little shocked turning completley to face them while putting down the rest of her things. "I- er... I'm the music teacher!" she blushed.
"Uhm, hi" Voltaire said. Zeke would probably like to discuss his plans more privately so Voltaire kept his mouth shut about it. Voltaire's hunch was right, she was a teacher here. "Sorry if i trespassed" Voltaire continued. "I just wanted to play some piano."

Raina's eyes went wide when she saw Voltaire by the piano. "Oh!" she exclaimed. "You must be Voltaire!" she looked at the young man with a smile. "Forgive me, I'm a new teacher and I was briefing myself on student's files and I saw that you were a likely candidate for enrollment in my music class..." she was very excited at the potential of having a pianist in the mansion. "Not any of my business.." she said with a coy smile. "But I do hope you'll enroll." it was easy to see her sincerity and excitement for music and the students.
"Sorry." she extended her hand to Zeke. "We did meet briefly a little while ago." she blushed embarrassed. "I admit I forgot your name, but it's nice to re-meet you. I'm the resident music teacher here and a few more weeks to my final online class and I'll be the resident Guidance counselor as well. Funny, I need counsellings myself I'm sure!" she joked and laughed with her musical laugh.
"I didn't mean to bother you guys, but with classes starting in a few days I really do need to get this place organized. If you're not busy or can afford some time..." she looked at the heavy drums and the piano. "I could use a hand lifting" she blushed.

Zeke ignored Raina's conversation with Malik and simply nodded when Raina acknowledged him. She seemed to like to talk a lot about nothing, and Zeke didn't know how he felt about that. Then again, Zeke probably did the exact same thing himself sometimes, so he gave her a pass in his own mind. Now, he wore a knowing smile and walked over to her, taking up the drum with both his hands.
He turned back and faced Raina, "Where did you say you wanted this?" It was certainly a heavy drum...
