It was well after breakfast and the Sun was still high in the sky. Sam heard rumors of a place where mutants are actually encouraged to use their powers. He also heard that they are a little more aggressive than the X-Men. Sam loved it at the mansion but he wasn’t sure how they would react to him having a messed up past, full of blood and in his opinion mindless killing. However from what he heard these people accept the ones with the shady past.

Sam walked to the place where he thought it was to see, big doors which looked to be made of gold and he winced, it was a bright day and the doors seemed to be gleaming towards him almost saying welcome. Sam stood by the doors and said “anybody home?”
Sam followed this up with a knock or two, and then decided to go in. he bushed the heavy gold doors aside and entered.

Noticing the doors opening Lisa looked up as she always did to see who was coming or going. She didn't see anyone leaving so maybe it was someone new. The woman put on her genuine smile and waited for the male figure to get closer. "Welcome to Sanctuary. My name is Lisa and I would be glad to answer any questions you have."

A chill went down Sam’s spine, this place gave him the creeps. The woman that approached gave him the creeps to she welcomed him, but to Sam it sounded like she was welcoming him to a cult.

“Welcome to Sanctuary.” Lisa said

Sanctuary it defiantly sounded like a cult. Sam waited for a second then spoke, “I heard this was a place for mutants with shady pasts to live.” Sam tried to phrase that the best he could but failed miserably.

"We welcome all mutants regardless of their past. Are you requiring a place to stay then?" The woman looked the man over. He didn't look like he was living off the streets. Maybe he had a bad situation and needed to get away. All kinds of scenarios were running through her head.

Sam was a little happy that she and her cult welcomed all mutants. Sam hesitated for a second he already had a place to stay, he jut wanted to check this place out. “I don’t need a place to stay yet, but things could go south for me at that place.” Sam was talking about the X-mansion; he was sure that once somebody found out about his past they wouldn’t accept him there any longer. “I thought I could get a tour and see what this place is a bout.”

“So a shady past huh? You a criminal or something? don't let me catch you swiping anything while I show you around."

Sam turned his head to see what looked like a giant red bodybuilder with glowing red eyes, looking at him sizing him up. Sam smiled a little at his comment, Sam was never one to be scared that easily, so the first thing that he said didn’t make him sound at all intimidated.
“I wouldn’t worry about me swiping anything, not really my style.” Sam looked at him in curiosity, must have had a hell of a rough life.

"if you need something, just ask. Whats your name?"

“Got a few names but the one I am going with as of now is Cold Steel.”

He got on the elevator with mercury and a sent came to him, one of something inexpiable, he couldn’t place it but he liked it. Instead of going up the elevator went down, and again like he always does when he talks he smiled. “So, uh Mercury, can I ask you what’s up stairs cause I doubt it’s part of the same set up you got downstairs. Not to many people would be thrilled having a building full of mutants next store, so asking out of curiosity, what’s the cover that this place is using?”

Sam waited and felt like he was asking to many questions, so he added “I know I ask a lot of questions so if I ask something that I shouldn’t just say so.”

Sam took in all that mercury had said, “it does sound a little to good to be true, so you really protect from all threats?” Sam was considering telling the mutant about his history and telling the horrors of his past. He decided against it last moment and said, “don’t really mind, heard there are a lot of pretty girls here.” He smiled a little bit to the red giant, then said we can start at the gym or cafeteria your pick.” he waited for mercury to respond then he asked, "So what kind of odd jobs would you ask me to do?"

Sam took in all the sites and reveled in it’s glory, this place was pretty sweet.

Sam smiled at Mercury while he was listening. Sam liked Mercury when he said anything Sam knew he meant it. “Every rose may have its thorn but still, the rose needs to be taken care of, otherwise it withers.”

Sam waited for a second then told Mercury the jest of his powers. Sam clenched his fist and formed a jagged sword from it. “My names, kind of a misleading title, I can only control temperature around me.” He then let go of the sword and it shattered and became something along the lines of glitter being caught by a wind.

“Food does sound good right now, and just to be sure this is all free right?”

Sam stopped smiling at his last comment, the registration was wrong and it should have never happened but going for blood didn’t really appeal to Sam, not for now at least. “You don’t really strike me as the type of guy to use fire arms.”

Sam thought he would play into Mercury’s politics a little while in line for food, “the whole idea of a registration was a stupid idea, it happened in history and never worked, plus we are far more powerful than the ones that kept us locked up.” Sam stopped for a second he felt a little darker than usual, it had to be the location he was in this place, gave off a darker vibe than the mansion.

Now having some food on his plate, Sam thought to himself, maybe this is who I need to be to survive a world out there. “So Mercury, what exactly is this group all about I have heard some pretty nasty things about this place.”

Steel didn’t know what to say, he really hoped that Mercury would take a lot that a stab at his sanctuary. “ No offense taken, I hope you weren’t offended at all, it’s just from previous experience had shown me that curiosity is my friend.” He paused for a second to let out a small laugh “ I would have been dead a long time ago if I didn’t ask any questions.” Steel waited to see if Mercury was angry at his last comment, if he was Steel would try to think of something.

Sam hesitated for a second he didn’t really want to talk about his life this much, “I am not big on talking about secrets in my life but, and this is probably the biggest secret I have so if I seem a little vague it’s only because I don’t feel like giving my full life story.”

Sam paused and took a deep breath before he spoke he hesitated, turn his back to Mercury he lifted his shirt up to his right shoulder he exposed the number 602 tattooed on his back, he also exposed some scars on his back. “I was in a loosely affiliated government program that used mutants as well as humans. At one point I got tired of being an attack dog and left.” Sam paused for a second glad he got it off his chest, “they have a bad name so I just call them T.A.T for short, usually they send some suits or really uptight guys, so it's easy to spot them.” Sam pulled his shirt down and turned back to Mercury to see his reaction.

Steel smiled at Mercury, he didn’t know what it was but Mercury had it. It could have been confidence or it could have been the card he handed Steel. To top it off Mercury was the first person that would remotely understand everything that Steel went threw when he was younger.

It was a long and enjoyable day and Mercury was very cool about the tour. He showed Steel everything he wanted to see, the library the training facilities and Steels favorite the girls. It was an interesting tour to say the least and the energy flowing from Steel was very positive even up to the exit. Steel got to the exit and said “thank you so much for the tour Mercury, I really do appreciate it and I am glad to know that I have a place to come to if things get bad, and is it cool if I stop in on occasion?” Steel said this as he extended his hand for a shake. Then gave abyss his cell “just incase you are in need of my services.” He smiled then left the sanctuary.

A young black boy wereing a very noticeble oversized hospitle gaurd uiform walked the streets durnig this early afternoon. He was drawing stares an gossipers were runnig coner to coner to talk about this kid, not because of what he was wearing but because of the taxi cab stciking halfway out an office building, for just a few minnuts ago, this young boy was almost hit by that speeding cab only to be magicly lifted and thrown across the street. Some of the witnesses claim they saw the boy wave his hand before the car hit, others say he fits the description of a murder of the hospital, but none dared crossed the boy path.

Acer walked until he came across a building made of what looked like gold, " could this be bank?" he thought to himself, " only one way to find out" he said as he climbed the stairs to this godly made building.

He opened the door and proceeded through, " helllo he said, eyes still ajusting from the change in light, he soon hear a nois that sent him into an atomatic defensefive mind set.
