The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

They say that revenge is a bitch and after seeing the mass influx of women mutilating the men of this camp one can believe that this statement is very much a fact. It was really rather a gruesome sight to see, considering the fact that these were angry mutant women who were most likely on their periods or in some hormonal rut. These women were giving these male guards their just deserts for hurting them and not a court would convict them if they had seen what these women had been through.
Now this revenge that most the women were dishing out to the boys was bad but not murderous in any way. Well some women did murder their victims but was it for revenge or was it perhaps just an impulse of anger, a horrid streak of primal instincts that went through them, telling them to kill the prey that wiggled beneath them. Whichever it was, it seemed to be getting to all of the females.
But what would happen if this Beast like instinct and the need for revenge fused together into a large rage filled, blood lusted feeling? Well what happens is that you get an extremely mad and vengeful woman who is most likely to tear out the throat of the nearest thing that resembles something that tormented her.
Actually, what you get is Emerald Lupin right at this moment.
In the depths of the camps where most of the brutal tortures of the inmates often took place stood a lone female, hands covered in a layer of blood. Her clothes where ripped and torn in various places from fighting so much. The young wolf girl looked out from a layer of hair that covered her eyes, snarling ferally.
It was easy to see that below her was a human arm as well as its owner, not to far away, covered in bruises and his bones sticking out in various places. What had happened was, this extremely large male had tried to take advantage of the weakened werewolf, who had been duking it out with the unconscious and beaten guards outside. She had gone on a bit of a bludgeoning and slashing spree, getting revenge on all the guards she could find. She wasn’t killing them, oh no that would be too sweet she had been merely, giving them judgment for the things they had done.
Most of her victims were suffering, not dead, except for the one laying on the floor. While she had been catching her breath he had snuck up behind her and had knocked her out, he had managed to make her have several nasty wounds on her torso where her rib cage was, with a small knife before she managed to wake up. He had been feeling up her body rather eagerly, getting rather happy that his victim was now awake for any ravaging he was going to do to her Muscular body. However, before he could have this thought Emerald managed to break free of his grasp, fight him off and precede to Rip his arm off and Beat him to death with it.
This guy was notorious for the horrid things he did to women in these camps so one less sicko in the world was for the best in Emerald’s frenzied mind. She now stalked around the room growling, her anger already boiling over. What she need right now, right at that moment was someone to calm her torture soul down, someone who would be able to get past her beastlike state of mind and soothe the savage beast.
(Pix is possibly the least likely character to truly calm someone, So I’m up to the challenge if you don’t mind.)
The thick smell of gooey, sticky, thick, curdling so it had a yummy crust smell of blood drew Pix faster than a moth to a flame, witch, in her case, was just as possible. The smell actually made her mouth feel dry when she was in the insect form. Her eyes shifted back and forth, to the job at hand, or to the snack? A snack would only take a second. Little bug stomachs only took in so much. A morsel that size would hardly be missed.
So Pix, in her dragonfly form made a quick V-line with her swarm of other insects following in an obedient whirl wind of wings that quickly found the wolf girl and the feast that she had laid out, Unknowing, just for pix’s army. Upon the sight pix’s little dragonfly body halted at the door, hovering and taking in the snarling girl, the men on the floor, the feast, the fun, and to possible use this snarling girl could be to such a goddess as Pix.
Obediently her minions, that were other Dragonflies the size of house cats set her equipment from Hades down, to rest with it. The rest of her minions, that comprised of large mosquitoes, horse flies, special Asian wasps that were a little smaller than the size of a human thumb. Settled over the snarling lady’s victim and they proceeded to consume their fill of the brute’s flesh, at the wolf girl’s feet. A few stragglers moved to the victims that were still living and bit down on them, in the process of administering the diseases, Hades had given her with them. Assorted moths of different sizes and colors, drifted throughout the room like specks of confetti that kept dancing as they fell due to unfelt winds.
Pix hovered as the lone insect at the door for a split second before darting forward, straight at the snarling ladies forehead. Within the blink of an eye, Pix grazed the girl’s cheek with a wing, licking a crusty area of dried blood. A motion from her that would hardly be felt by the wolf girl, though satisfying to a little bug’s stomach. Then darted back to the wall where she transformed to her more human looking form, only with giant dragonfly wings. The moths obediently flew back to her to cover her skin and provide the one they knew as Petunia with warmth. Also providing the task of keeping her from being indecent as they scurried to their places, to give pix what looked like a stylized dancers outfit made of moths.
“Well you’ve kept yourself busy, haven’t you.” Her large green eyes traveled back and forth as she adjusted to seeing things that in their proper proportions rather than from the angle of a flying Thumblina. “I like you. You’re interesting.” Petunia said as she continued to take in the ladies appearance. “and you’ve taken time to give back what I have no doubt they got from you. However unless you want to hurt yourself further, witch could happen anyways, I believe there are those who would like you to leave.”

Streak ran towards the sound of screaming and fighting. This was not very telling of where he was because there was still fighting going on everywhere he looked. His wounds were feeling better though they still hurt. He came to the closest spot of screams and went towards them. Suddenly the screams stopped and Streak knew that only meant one thing. Someone was dead. He didn't want all this violence, he just wanted to get out and get all the mutants out safely.
He saw a few guards lying on the ground as he walked closer towards where the sounds had come from. He saw a wolf girl sitting on top of a body, both covered in blood. She looked familiar. As Streak got closer to her he realized that it was Emerald. He met her back in the mansion well before the registration act had even become an issue. Streak also recognized the guy what was dead and lying under Emerald. He had seen the guard committing rapes and other atrocities and getting away with it because they were mutants. He deserved it. Streak thought as he walked up to Emerald.
"Hey, Emerald you okay?" Streak noticed the blood coming from her ribs. She was an attractive girl even for a wolf. When he arrived he noticed that someone had gotten there first. She was a very unusual mutant that Streak had never seen before. She was covered in bugs and had huge dragonfly wings. Streak tried to ignore the bugs crawling all over the place but it wasn't working very well because the bug girl started to talk. That's when Streak stepped in. "Hi, I'm Streak." He said to the bug girl. Streak carefully walked up to Emerald. He didn't want her to mistake him for a guard and fight him because she was a better fighter than him.
"Emerald, remember me, Streak from the mansion before all this happened?" He continued to move closer. "Man you look about as bad as I feel. I've seen what that guy has done and I approve of what you did." Streak said feeling like he was treading on thin ice with her.
"It's time we get out of here. Lets end the blood shed now and escape so we can return to our lives at the mansion." He said in his most sympathetic voice he could. He knew this wasn't a very good argument but he was going to get her out of here and once he knew what state of mind she was in. If she was in blind rage and murder it would be harder than if she was just seeking revenge on the guards that had done terrible things here, which was pretty much all of them.
He braced himself as he walked right up to her and knelt down to look Emerald in the eyes. He reached out and put his hand on hers. His cool silver hand touching her warm blood soaked hand. Streak continued to stare her in the eyes to show her he wasn't afraid and that he really did care about what she was going through because he had been there just as long as she had been in the camps.
Deep within Emerald's mind, a slight recolection of her meeting with this male flashed through her head. His voice was gentle and he tried to keep contact with her, something that the other being in the room did not do. The Wolf girls mind though was almost to far gone into her animalitic rage for her to really comprehend the meaning of his words, however gentle they may be.
Her pain, her suffering and the suffering of those around her had finally gotten to the Lupine females mind making her want no more than to crush those who stood before her. All of the events from the labs, despite the fact that they had been hard on her, did not take this much of a toll on her pysche. It was the fact that she now had people she was starting to grow close to and these people were getting hurt or killed by these monsters.
The Screams she had heard while she was in Isolation imbeded themselves deep within her very core, forever making themselves known to her. These people she heard or she watched die before her did not die because it was thier time to die but thier deaths where caused by beatings, rape and even murder for no just reason. This was why Emerald was mad, she was fighting with not only her basic primal instinct but it was almost as if she could feel the fallen men and women of this camp crying out to her to avenge them.
Emerald Lashed out at Streak, trying to push him away from her with a horrible snarl. Her eyes still glazed over with the animalistic fury that could terrify any normal being that came to close to her. Her eyes darted about frantically, searching for a way to escape the people that she viewed as a possible threat, her tail lashing back and forth as she did so.
"Get....Away....From...Me." Emerald Snarled at them in a low gutteral tone. Her words seeemed to be garbled with growls and snarls that escaped her lips, sounding rather close to that off a wolf.

Streak stayed calm even as she lashed out at him. Gotta be the hard way. Streak thought as he blocked her attack and held her arms. When she snarled at him he met her with the same intense stare and tensed muscles. He moved back a little for a second before returning to the exact same spot he was at before. He kept his calm.
"No, I wont leave you alone. I know your in there Emerald. You can't let the pain and misfortune that we've all through being put here." Streak said calmly keeping his eyes focused on her, his eyes remained full of understanding and sympathy. He slowly released her arms and continued trying to talk to her. "We're not here to hurt you." Streak motioned to the bug girl and himself. "I'd never hurt you. And I'm pretty sure she wouldn't hurt you either. That's why were here." Streak said simply. "Trust me. Trust us."
At this point in time, the feral Emerald registred this as an attack and once again lashed out at him with more and more feroicity than ever before. Her dilutied anger showed with each lashing out of her arms and legs, unable to contain her fury as she kicked at him full force in the stomach. Her fury burned inside of her, unable to remotely hold it back. By touching her he made her panic and by making her panic he put himself at risk for being potentialy mauled by an emotionally distressed werewolf with a chip on her shoulder from nearly being killed by these monsters in these camps.
Within Emerald's mind was just a mask of pure anger and pure emotional turmoil, making her almost in a total feral state. The fact that she was able to talk even in sparse choked out words was a miracle in itself. Her mind was fused with that of the wolf.
"Leave...Me....Alone!" The wolf girl snarled, snapping at him with her teeth. "You...will...get...hurt...I...cant....stop....this."
Shortly after Petunia ad entered the room, another interesting mutant had as well. However he had chosen to get close to the snarling girl. Pix had learned ages ago, with her older, much taller brother, when it would be bad to get close physically.
Emerald, remember me, Streak from the mansion before all this happened?"
Pix noted the other two mutants’ names.
"Man you look about as bad as I feel. I've seen what that guy has done and I approve of what you did."
“Few wouldn’t.” Petunia replied from her corner. And if they did, those who disapproved would have to be dealt with. Streak was trying to talk some sense into the snarling girl, but she did nothing but start attacking him. Even if he first managed to block her, hold her arms, and keep her back.
"I'd never hurt you. And I'm pretty sure she wouldn't hurt you either. That's why were here. Trust me. Trust us."
It was true. Pix wasn’t interested in hurting Emerald. At least not at this moment. Though if she had to, she could stop her. Petunia prepared to do that should things go too far, What was it again that Hades had said her larger mosquito insects now administered that would subdue someone? She didn’t want to do that. That was a very last resort. She wanted Emerald’s trust and drugging or giving someone an illness on purpose wasn’t a way of doing that.
The snarling girl let fly a harsh looking kick towards streak, and Petunia didn’t see if he would block or not. She just reacted with the wave her hand, sending the 20 cat sized prehistoric dragonflies, that Hades had introduced her to, behind him to catch him should he be flying back. Or at least they would cushion his fall. Mean while the layers of moths along Petunia’s skin were getting thicker as she prepared, should things get worst.
“Didn’t your mom ever tell you that it wasn’t safe to play with the growling dogs and cats?” Pix asked Streak as she took a few steps forward. “You’re both already, so hurt.” For once in Pix’s life, her face wasn’t creased into a smile as she spoke. This was serious so it was time to act serious. Even if she felt a snicker inside.
Petunia turned to address Emerald now. Still keeping a respectable distance. “I can only imagine what this place has done to you, but before you completely loose it,” because emerald looked ready to explode, “perhaps think about those that are getting away. You are all getting away. Everyone. You made it this far and you’re still breathing, so take a breath and figure out what you’re going to do, because people are here to get you out and we are willingly risking out own skins just for you.”

Streak blocked as much of the attack as he could. He was blocking one move when Emerald kicked him hard in the stomach. "Ow." Streak said and he took a second to get his breath. He fell back on the dragon flies which helped him catch his balance. Streak clutched his stomach for a second.
“Didn’t your mom ever tell you that it wasn’t safe to play with the growling dogs and cats?” the bug girl asked him.
"Nope. My parents wouldn't have minded. However, none of the animals ever fought like this. Thanks for the bugs." Streak said simply to the girl.
Streak let the bug girl take the lead this time in trying to talk some sense into Emerald. He stayed back for a second and nursed his wounds. Emerald hit him right next to one of his gun shot wounds. "Man I hate guns." Streak said more to himself than either of the girls.
"She's right." Streak said moving to where the bug girl was. "Your not the only one who was put here so long ago. Your not the only one who wanted revenge so badly that it seems like they would never be able to repay the guards their dues." He didn't want to sound mean, however he was trying to show her that she wasn't the only one who had been abused. Streak was standing right next to the bug girl. He turned around and showed her all the scars that were on his back from the various guards days when they wanted to have fun. Unfortunately for Streak he stuck out like a sore thumb so he was always getting the beatings from the guards. Their favorite one seemed to be the Cat of Nine Tails Whip. There were still some raw chunks of his skin missing from when the guards, with varying strengths had left their marks and gotten a little to carried away with what they were doing.
Streak wasn't stupid though. When he turned his back to Emerald he formed a huge thick and broad shield that he could put between himself and Emerald should she decide to attack him with his back turned. He then turned back around making sure to keep the shield hidden from her view, after all they were there to calm her down and get her out safely not fight her.
"You need to try and listen to us. We don't want you to get killed because you couldn't think straight. You may think what you're doing is right, and it is; however, it'll all be for nothing and you'll have waisted your time if you don't see reason and let us help you." Streak waited for her move He wasn't sure if what he said would make her made or if it would make some sense.
((Im sorry Im speeding this up but talking to Emerald doesn’t really help much when she is like this. Tone and body language would. Any gestures or speech or anything if not followed by a soothing tone wouldn’t have been able to get through to her. Thank you though, you provided just what I needed to post and you made a good attempt. Thanks for that.))
Words didn’t even register in Emerald’s mind at this moment, only body language and tone. So far she hadn’t picked up anything from them except the mindless droll of their attempted calming words. However, when Streak took off his shirt to show her his scars, she back up nervously, thinking he was going to attack but when she saw what she was doing a feeling of mild distaste rose in her. Right now, the wolf girl wasn’t exactly in the mood for people telling her how bad they had it in these camps because she already knew people who had it worst, the were all dead now. This was why she was so angry right now, this is why she was fighting and giving it her all to punish those who had wronged the innocent because they could not do it for themselves. To her, Streak seemed to not know what true suffering was, she had watched him on the other side of the camp when she watched some of the other men, he did not have it that bad in her opinion and yet he is trying to tell her to stop what she is doing because he showed her what he had been through.
Suddenly, Emerald rushed at Silver full force before veering away from him at the last minute. One must wonder why she was veering away and then heading to the door, but if one inspected the door closer they would see it was opening. The one that was opening the door was a guard with a taser, who was unexpectedly pounced on by a 85 pound wolf. Yes, the wolf girl had managed to gain enough of her strength back to fully morph into her wolf form. She sank her teeth into his neck, puncturing his throat with much feral enthusiasm. Em felt the blood fill her muzzle and she released his throat, allowing him to bleed out before her. The wolf girl turned into her human form, the feral look gone from her eyes, replaced with a look of pure hatred. The man on the floor before her was trying to speak, his mouth filling with his own blood as he looked up at the werewolf with frightened eyes.
“That was for all of those who can no longer fight. The ones you and your buddies decided it would be fun to beat and rape until they stopped moving. That’s why I made your incoming death as slow and as painful as possible, so the fallen innocent ones can rest in peace.”
Emerald stood and then started to walk away, not giving those in the room a second thought. The wolf girl had done what she had come to do, avenging those fallen innocents who had been killed by the monsters that dwelled here. When exited the barracks she took a moment to look up at the sky, thinking about all the casualties that had been taken in the past few months. In Emerald’s mind she honestly felt that they would have wanted her to bring down the wrath of god upon those who had cut their lives so short. What she did, was close enough to the wrath of god that she felt at peace with herself.
“Vos may sileo meus frater quod sanctimonialis , suus super.” Emerald whispered to the sky, before looking back down to the earth making her way out of the camps.
(((You may rest my brothers and sisters, its over. That’s What Em just said))

(ooc: well it was worth a try. we did our best.)
Streak was intrigued by the way she recoiled at his scars. Maybe that was what it took. Jog her memory about all the bad that has happened and she will clam down, hopefully she wont want to keep up with the murdering however right it might be. He thought.
Suddenly Emerald lunged at Streak without any warning or provocation. He prepared himself for the attack and pulled the shield out in front of himself so that he wouldn't get hit, he would just take the hit and be unharmed. He knew she wouldn't be expecting it and pulled it out at the last second. Then just as suddenly emerald veered away from Streak and went towards the door. He saw what she was going for and was to late to stop her. The guard was dead before he fully comprehended what was going on. His wounds were still hurting him pretty badly and he was weakening by the minute.
The shield Streak had made disappeared just as quickly as he had made it. It became part of him once more. Streak stared, awe struck, at the quickness with which she had attacked and killed the guard. Then she turned around and said something very strange in a language he had never heard. "What the hell did she say?" Streak said turning to the bug girl who was still next to him. "Well I guess we didn't make any impression on her. Huh?" He began to walk out of the barracks, not to follow Emerald but to find Raina and get out of here. He turned back to the bug girl, "Are you coming or just going to stand there.?" He smiled and continued to walk away.
(*Sighs.* The emotion through body langwage isn’t Pix’s thing. It’s Sara’s thing and if she wasn’t in other threads, I would have brought her in this one. *Shrugs* I’ll note it for another day.)
Pix stood still as she watched Emerald charge streak. A few of her moths took to the air around her shoulders but the majority of them obediently waited to be flung at their attacker’s face. She’d seen the shield out of the corner of her eye. So she was sure Streak could handle defending himself for a moment or two. Though the atmosphere with all of Pix’s insects had changed as every tiny eye had halted what ever they were doing and had turned to watch the wolf girl in her attack.
Petunia watched with a expressionless face, as Emerald changed her direction of attack, and instead killed another guard. Yeah. She could be fun later, Pix noted to herself, for later.
"What the hell did she say?"
“I have no idea.”
"Are you coming or just going to stand there.?"
“Coming.” Pix took to steps towards the door then morphed into the dragonfly she had entered as. The moths on her followed in a whorlwind behind her and she circled Streak’s head. The rest of her insect forces following and falling into line. “I’ll lead the way.”
