The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak had finally caught up with Raina after running for a while inside the building. After they had slowed down he began searching from room to room for any mutants that were trapped inside or needed lots of help. Streak was busting through doors like a member of a SWAT team doing raids on houses. He finally found a little kid hiding under his bed. "Hey what are you doin' in here?" Streak said to the kid. "Come on it's time to leave."
"But I'm scared and there's a lot of noise." the kid said to Streak. "Don't worry we'll take care of you. We're finally getting rescued." Streak held out his hand and the kid took it and crawled out from under his bed and joined him in the hall with Raina. Streak continued to search the rooms one at a time. Every once in a while he would find another young mutant hiding in different places. Mainly they were hiding under beds, closets, and other creative areas.
One mutant even attacked Streak for a little bit before he could subdue the kid. "Hey,hey I'm here to help and get you out." Streak said to the kid once he had him in a head lock. "Hey Raina could you help me for a sec." Streak called out to the hallway for her from inside the room. After they got the mutant subdued and convinced they were here to help her, they continued to head down the hallway looking for Sara and more mutants. "Raina do you know if Sara's still here?" Streak asked hoping they might be able to narrow down their search a bit and find her faster so they could get out before everyone left.

"Sarah's like us" Raina replies rushing over to help Streak out. "She'd want to get everyone out that she could and be sure everyone is safe." She continued down the halls.
"Streak I'm scared, this is getting out of hand. I know the mutants are angry and hurt... but there's waaaay too much death... we've gotta stop the two groups from killing each other. Isn't that what the x-men are about?" she mumbled. "Proving to the world that we can co-exist... that's what it was supposed to be."
Her eyes were full of tears now. "How are we going to do this?" she shook her head. "Streak, we have to stop everything."

"First, things first." Streak said once Raina had finished. "We need to get these kids out of here, find Sara and maybe we can talk her into helping us stop all of this. But I'll think of something while we get these younger mutants out of here. Come on." He began leading the way out with the kids mainly because he was afraid the kids would get hurt and that wouldn't be good.
Once the younger mutants were safe and out of the camp he went back into the building to look for Sarah. They turned that building upside down looking for Sarah and didn't find her. "Are you sure she's in here?" Streak asked Raina as they headed out into the open to go to another building. "Do you know where she might be or if she had an agenda or something?" Streak led the way. Unfortunately the path to another building which took them out into the open.
Two guards were hiding in the bushes and when they saw two young mutants walking around like nothing was happening they decided to jump out and try to get some vengeance on the mutants. The two guards jumped out with their weapons drawn. "Your going to get what you deserve." One of the guards said. Streak's muscles tightened up and he stopped moving for a heart beat. "Oy vey," Streak said, "we're just trying to find someone so leave us alone and y'all wont die." Streak said immediately after he realized they were guards and not mutants. The two guards started moving around to not be in each other line of fire. Streak sighed and said, "Y'all leave me with no choice." He instinctively knew what he was going to do. He assessed the situation and without warning sprung at the closest guard. Streak took the guard completely by surprise and slit the guards throat with a knife that he formed from the silver. In less than a second he jumped at the second guard. While he was in mid jump when the second guard shot him right in the stomach. Streak dropped like a rock and fell on his back onto the ground. "Oh, ****!" He yelled and grabbed his stomach. to try and stop the bleeding as fast as he could. He raised one hand over his head and threw another knife right into the guards heart killing him instantly.
Streak laid there for a little writhing on the ground in pain. "Your right this had gone way too far." He said with broken breaths. "We need to stop this...now." He placed his hand over his wound and slowly filled it with the silver film. That always stopped the bleeding and prevented further damage to any part of his body. After another minute he slowly got up and waited for used Raina for support as they continued on to find Sarah trying to keep up at the same pace as before. As they continued on the path Streak, who was still in immense pain asked "Who were those two guys earlier and why were they so uptight about me being around you and you not leaving right away?" Streak asked in broken speech from the pain caused by every step he took.

Raina agreed with Streak and took off behind him. That's when they ran into the guards. Before Raina could freeze them in place they went to shoot Streak. He jumped into action killing the two who dropped to the ground almost instantly. Raina froze in fear watching the scene then heard Streak land too.
She was very quiet. This isn't what she wanted. Not more violence. No more hate. She helped Streak up but she was a little detatched while she did so. Well, at least he agreed that this needed to stop.
"I'm not sure where Sarah could be..." she mumbled. "Or any of the others. But you're right, we should just get anyone that we see out."
He asked about the two men. "Heh, the bigger one taking a fit was my big brother Naveed. I don't even know how he got here... and I didn't even know he was a mutant either." She smiled. "The other... well that's a little more complicated."
She turned a little red. "I guess technically he's my fiance." she looked at Streak sheapishly. He'd opened a can of worms.

Streak never wanted to kill any of the guards but whey came out ready to kill them, so the only way Streak saw it was kill or be killed. All Streak wanted was to save the mutants and stop the blood shed, but sometimes you have to kill to get what you need to get done. He listened to Raina as she agreed and explained things to him. When he heard that the other guy was "technically" her finance he stopped for a second. "Oh. Wow." his eyes went wide with surprise.Streak wiped the look off his face and looked at her and smiled. D*** it. That was really unexpected. He thought as they continued to walk through the camp. He was feeling better getting his mind off his wounds and moving on to find Sarah and any other mutants.
As they continued to walk on he kept up a conversation, "Well, I would ask you about it but judging from your expression you don't really want to get into it and we don't have to go into it, but just out of curiosity why did you say technically? Wouldn't it kind of be either he is or he isn't?" He said. "So, how could you not know your older brother was a mutant. I mean, I don't want to criticize or anything but don't mutant powers usually surface at about 13 or so?" He was hoping to get some explanations from this and that it might clear the air about her. He was hoping to get to know her better; however, this was neither the way he wanted to find things out nor what he expected to find out.

Raina laughed as they ran, jumping over debris, looking from left to right to see what was going on and waving to other mutants.
"well with Naveed" she said in a huff as she jumped. "I guess his mutation must be based in his mind or someting. I haven't really seen it but when I was thinking about it in the camps-" she dodged a guard and pulled streak by the shoulder so they were flat against the wall "I figure you can't see a phychic power unless someone uses it. Maybe Navi just never used it around me."
The coat was clear and she took off again. "Flloyd's a whole other story. I kinda thought he could be a mutant from some weird things that happened when I left." she admitted. "But I don't know what his power is either."
She cleared a corner and they were now closer to the hole that had been made. They hadn't seen that many people human or mutant while they ran so she was getting the feeling many had made it out. "My tribe has arranged marriages. Flloyd's my arranged husband I guess. I don't know. I can't really see him as anything other than a brother."
They had reached the hole. It was almost desserted. "When I left the tribe it was void, but if I ever go back home I'll be expected to marry him. I don't think he's angry by the whole idea like I am, but he never ever pushes it. I get the sense he'd only rather be with a person if they wanted to be with him too. And with Rupert..."
She trailed off remembering the scene with Rupert earlier. She shook head head to clear it "well I guess that's neither here nor there anymore"

"Very true, very true." That makes a lot of sense and I should have figured that out. Now your situation with the other guy is an interesting one. I didn't know that people still did arranged marriages. Even natives." Streak commented when she explained to him about her brother and the other guy. He continued to hobble along with her, jumping over bodies and dodging guards. Streak didn't want to press any of the issues with her because he thought that this would just be bad timing to pursue it.
When she pulled him against a wall to avoid a guard he was happy she did because he didn't want to fight any more people than he had to. However, he was not very happy that she did because when he hit the wall his wounds hurt, yet felt cool against the brick walls. They soon continued on their way to find more mutants. After they had gone a long way seeing almost no one Streak said, "Huh, they must have all left already."
"We haven't had any luck finding Sara, do you think we should leave or do you want to keep searching? Maybe she's left and if she had there's no way for us to know it." He was not trying to pressure her to get out of there even though his wounds were hurting much more than they had been earlier but he didn't want to be stuck searching for someone who has already escaped, perhaps even after getting her revenge on a few guards.
They reached a hole and they paused for a second. Streak leaned a little more heavily on Raina but still able to keep up with much exertion and short pained breaths. "Well, what daya say Dorthy, do you want to go with the tin man and find toto?" He smiled and then headed in through the hole and began looking for Sara.

Most of Raina wanted to keep looking and she was going to say so when she looked at Streak and saw that he was trying to hide his panting. He wasnt OK - that wound wasnt doing very well. She nodded. "I think we should leave while we have the chance now." she slung his arm around her shoulder. "Let's go"

Streak was glad that Raina had decided to finally leave, though he was not going to tell her that. He let her grab his arm and lead the way to the exit. His wounds were not doing well at all. They had broken open again and he was afraid that from the second shot he might have some internal bleeding. His body would begin to repair his body; however, it would take longer than normal because of his weakened state from dealing with all of the abuse from the camps guards.
He hobbled back with Raina towards the exit, all the while he was trying to repair his wounds at least externally so that he would be able to keep as much blood inside him as he could.
