The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(I hope my GMing of the machine is alright. Feel free to add more of fill in blanks.)
Sara’s pupils of her eyes contracted to control her vision on their own, as those balls of energy were formed. Her ears reacting as well, to work to pinpoint without giving her a splitting headache. If only painkillers worked on her.
Sara kept the throwing of any object with in reach going as long as she could. Meanwhile looking around for another object to improvise with. Doing an instant mental head slap when she spotted one of those water coolers with the 5 gallon jug of water sitting upside down on top.
"Can anyone find anything to permenantly mark this thing?"
“maybe.” Sara murmered.
"I can...."
Sara raised an eye brow as more was explained. This didn’t sound like a complete sure thing though. In fact she could sense the rising stress. “Right then. You prepare and we distract.”
Sara ruffled the kid’s hair before darting forward across the room, partially drawing the stalkers attention again as it got up from the huge blast. There was a hiss that filled the air as if the AI was actually showing the emotion of frustration.
Her claws of her right hand went straight across the jug of the water cooler, flinging the water at the machine. The water splashed across the thing’s head, or what looked like a head, and then dripped down it’s torso. Sara ducked as a whip like form blew across the top of her head, that was the thing’s tail. Next Sara through one of those pepper bundles at the thing, where the water had hit. The packed instantly came apart in a big puff. Ground spice powder instantly seemed to paint the stalker as it spun again. So now part of it could be seen by anyone.
Sara tried to back pedal when the thing made to strike at her again. She rolled with it’s speed but there was a sound like gun fire from it’s arms, and Sara had been knocked to the side she had attempted to escape. Not even realizing that she had been hit across the right rib cage. As fast as she had been tagged and gone down, she was bowing close to the ground and pushing against the ground to get back to the exit. Somewhere in the back of her thoughts she had heard Tarin’s warning that this things was happening now. Didn’t have to tell her twice to get out.
She scooped the kid out on her way, then proceeded to the next room.
Kami kept blasting the Stalker as everyone else went about their own plans to deal with it. The couple seemed to be working on a permanent solution, but needed a little more time. When the cat woman painted the Stalker using water and spice Kami was going to make sure they got it.
Charging up one final blast Kami fired a huge ball of energy into the Stalker, slamming it into the wall with enough force to crack it. When the man gave the warning shout Kami wasted no time and followed the cat woman and the boy through to the next room, hoping he wasn't leaving the pair behind him to die.
"Which way now?" Kami asked, "We have to keep moving. Once you and the kid are safe away I'll come back for them." He wasn't happy to leave them to fight the Stalker alone, but they had seemed determined. Now he just focused on getting the cat woman and the boy to safety.

Well it was something, Lee hadn't turned and ran when Tarin suggested she be the one to do this with him. She hadn't slapped him in the face, or yelled at him. She was scared, Tarin couldn't blame her though, he was freakin' terrified. Lee protested that there had to be another way and Tarin just shook his head as he concentrated, as the feelings started to rush through his body.
This was actually going to work out...part of Tarin was thrilled, and part of him was absolutely terrified about what was going to happen when this actually went down. There wasn't any choice at this point though, he'd determined that the second he'd offered to try. The cat lady and boy were already gone and the warrior monk had staggered the stalker to buy them time.
Lee agreed, though Tarin could see the reluctance in her eyes. She still didn't believe him, he'd realized that the second she'd reacted how she had. He wondered if she'd believe him after this, and wondered what that would mean. Tarin reached out and grabbed her hand and as the ground fell out from under him, sight faded to white light, and there was nothing.....
To the outside observer it would have happened almost too fast to see. Two figures touched, then suddenly blurred into one. Things changed, appearances disappeared and there was a single figure standing in the ruin of the building.
The figure was dark skinned and dark haired, Mediterranean looking and almost androgynous. Slender but not overly thin, tall but not extremely lanky, unremarkable for the most part...until it started to move...
Tarin could feel again, and see, he wondered if it was the same for Lee. Control was completely absent from the picture but he could see through the being's eyes. It felt different, different than before...not more in control, but more goal driven. The being wanted the same thing he and Lee had wanted and what was happening was absolutely amazing.
He could also feel Lee, he knew she was there, he could see her thoughts, feel her feelings the fear she had. There was still the accusation, the anger, and the hurt over what she'd perceived...he could look deeper, see her memories, thoughts whatever he wanted, but he pushed those thoughts away for now. He knew what he needed and his emotions hardened slightly towards Lee, she'd never once really considered that he might be telling the truth, that he was innocent. Tarin didn't want to know anything else.
He wanted to dwell on Lee more, fade into the background of the new being's consciousness but there was something else, something new and frightening in its own right. He still hurt, the pain from the injuries he'd sustained was doubling over on itself, even more than before, and he could almost feel the pull, almost like when Lee made an effort to take energy. It didn't matter though, something else was happening at the same time, and it made his personal well being fade into the background.
There was a massive influx of energy, Tarin could feel it and he wondered idly if this was what it was like for Lee. Tarin could feel through the being that there were people everywhere, there were machines everywhere. There was energy coming from everywhere, this was obviously different than Lee's power. She said the energy only came from living things...in this case it was coming from everywhere, everything. The stalker didn't stand a chance.
The being was pleased with the amount of energy to harvest and not particularly concerned with what would happen to who and what he was taking the power from. The stalker was a threat, that was for sure, and his sudden existence didn't deter him from what he needed to do. Focusing the energy he was drawing from the things around him, the being held his hands out in front of himself and concentrated the energy, pulling it all together, pulling even more from the machine in front of him, watching as it powered down before his eyes. That was pleasing, now to finish it.
The energy he was pulling concentrated at his fingertips and exploded forward in an electric blast, absolutely frying the machine in front of him. It fell in a heap of steaming metal. No problem.
An explosion from outside the building drew the being's attention and he smiled, pushing his long, dark hair out of his eyes. There was something that suggested there were guards out there, and the guards deserved even worse than the pile of junk metal had gotten.
Tarin was starting to worry now, the glee he'd felt at just how effective the merged form was, slowly started to fade away and was replaced with dread. He'd been responsible for two deaths already this night and the being he and Lee had become was hungry for more blood. It just wasn't right. He started to fight the consciousness, but as aways it was completely futile. Tarin also knew where the desire came from, he could feel the hostility towards the guards from Lee. She wanted to hurt them. Maybe not on a fully conscious level, but deep down she wanted to do them harm. Please no... he thought, not knowing what would happen.
The merge was certainly a strange thing. She felt Tarin's hand as she took it, felt the energy flowing into her through the contact, and then things sorta just disappeared for a moment. No, that did not help Lee's fear about the merging whatsoever, but a second later, everything seemed to come back, there, but different. She could see, but it was almost as if she were looking through a window rather than through her own eyes. She could feel Tarin there with her, but at the same time, couldn't place where exactly he was. She could still feel energy flowing in, only...there was so much more of it, coming from all around. Lee wasn't sure she had ever felt this much energy around her, even when she had been in a large, completely packed bar.
And then it happened. Thoughts, feelings, and memories slammed into Lee's consciousness, and while many were similar to her own, she knew they weren't hers; they were from the wrong vantage point. It was a curiosity when she realized that the extra energy she was feeling was coming from all the electrical items around, including the Stalker in front. But Tarin had said when he was merged he didn't have control, which had been one of the main reasons Lee had been terrified of trying this. And, concidering through the window-like eyes, Lee saw 'they' were moving, almost as if through a haze felt the movement, Lee knew she didn't have control either. It was because of this, as well as the onslaught of thoughts and feelings, that Lee didn't really focus much on what was going on in front of her.
The problem was, there was just so much there, so many different thoughts and emotions, Lee didn't know what to think of it. One particular feeling was extremely strong, though it still took a few moments for Lee to identify exactly what it was. Betrayal. Quite different from the anger that had been associated with her own feelings of betrayal for the last couple weeks. This was simply laced with pain and... Love? She wondered.
Before she was able to think about that further, Lee was bombarded by images and feelings from that day. The shock Tarin had felt when the redhead had kissed him, the inability he'd had to react when she had planted herself on his lap. The horror and regret Tarin had felt when he'd heard her own voice and opened his eyes to see her standing there. Not, as Lee had thought, because she had caught him, but because he hadn't reacted to get the other woman away fast enough.
She had been wrong. Taring had actually been telling the truth that day, and she hadn't listened, had refused to accept it as true because of what had happened with Ryan and Sage years ago. But where did that leave things now? Because of the collar, and how she had gotten angry from the simplest thought about that day, Lee hadn't really been able to think through what had happened since it had happened.
It was then that something external, something that wasn't one of Tarin's memories or feelings, drew Lee's attention. All that energy that was being sucked in from everywhere was suddenly shooting out from her...its...their...hands. Lee blinked in surprise, or would have if she had been able to actually control her eyelids. She couldn't help but think how amazing that was, to actually be able to get rid of energy like that. Yes, it was a tad on the violent side, but still, to actually be able to get the energy out rather than simply pulling it in...
But the Stalker was down now, and they were moving. Because of her whole lack of attention to what was going on around them, Lee didn't really realize what was going on, where they were headed, until she felt Tarin's dread. And then Lee realized that a guard was the next target. And not simply a guard that was standing in their way, trying to stop them from escaping, or even trying to kill them. This was actually going out and searching for someone, anyone, nearby to hurt. No, to kill.
When she heard, or felt, or whatever it was, Tarin's desire for that not to happen, Lee couldn't help but think that the sentiment didn't go far enough. It would be one thing to hurt a guard, even severely, if he was standing in the way of them escaping, but to actually go hunting one down to kill... How the hell did Tarin talk her into doing this, Lee wondered. She had known it was a bad idea, knew they shouldn't do it. And now, here they were, about to kill someone. Yes, the guards had done some aweful things, to her and to every other mutant in the camps, but did they actually deserve to die because of it? Well, ok, maybe they did, but not by her hand, not by Tarin's.
Around the corner the merged being walked, and there, not 5 feet away and facing the other way, were two guards. He smiled and drew in more energy, this time focusing the draining on the two men in front of him. A moment later, he focused the energy at his hands and shot it out, the first two shots aimed for the guards' shoulders of the arms that were holding their guns. The guards dropped, their rifles clattering to the ground as they fell, cries of pain issuing from their lips, their shoulders burnt and bloody.
Lee felt sick. She wanted to close her eyes, to run away, but she couldn't. As if killing the guards wasn't going to be bad enough, this thing was going to torture them first. Seeing the two men continuing to move on the ground, an arm each reaching up to carefully clutch at their injuries, Lee was sure; if she had had control of her stomach, she would have lost what little food was in it.
Two more balls of energy formed, one for each hand. They were smaller, though, since he didn't spend that long to let them actually grow in size. That suited him, though. Smaller shots would cause less damage, would prolong things. This time, the energy blasts hit in the other arm, burning the cloth, burning the skin, even breaking one of the guard's wrists from the force.
One...two...three...four more shots at each of the guards, and the whole time he was smiling, glad that they were getting what they deserved. But by this time, he was also growing bored. The guards' cries were fading, their movements lessening, and he knew that there were many others still around. One last shot, larger this time, and the guards stopped moving.
It wasn’t until Sara had exited the room, and moved across the hall, into the next, that she realized she’d been hit by the stalker. There was a clean slice across the lower right part of her rib cage. The fabric of the grey camp uniform hung, cut as well, with the red stain on the fringed edges. The spreading of the color was already slowly slowing.
Sara, practically, slapped her palm against the injured area as soon as she felt it’s sting. Blinking, more out of surprise, then with a tiny flinch from the twitching muscles around the corners of her eyes. She knew she’d heal. To her it wasn’t a big deal. It hurt and stung and yes, made her want to slow down, but that wasn’t something she would do because she didn’t have to. She was a meat shield. Sara could heal so that’s the type of work she was for at times like this.
"Which way now?"
“Straight a head.” Sara pointed toward the opposite wall. There was a window to the outside where she could make out part of the seen. There were guards moving around off to the right, making Sara duck so as not to be seen, and they disappeared, past the corner of the window’s view. Sara rose again and leaned so that she could see a different angle of the glass, it seemed to be clear. That is with the exception of a bunch of white faced guards dancing the Macarena near the fence, or doing the monkey, or what ever other goofy dances come to your mind when someone orders you to dance. “I didn’t know anyone could have mind control over groups like that.”(Something from one of Naveed’s posts)
"We have to keep moving. Once you and the kid are safe away I'll come back for them."
“At least we agree about the kid.” Sara shifted so that she could lift the window up. Luckily this one opened easily. Stepping over broken glass isn’t fun, even for healers. Sara’s ears pined as she looked over her shoulder back at the room where they had just left Tarin and Lee. All the odd senses that were coming from stuff Sara couldn’t see on the other side. What was that thing doing to them? What could they be doing to that thing?”
Within a heart beat Sara was through the window. No gun fire on this side so coast was clear and out came the kid who instantly wrapped his arms around Sara’s waist when his feet hit the ground. Like she was the big protective Teddy or something. Sara lead the way around the side to the corner of the building, following the way she’d thought she’d seen people coming from.
They reached the corner of the building. Sara peaked around seeing a tall somewhat lanky man standing over to mutilated guard bodies. This mutant he, or if it were a she, what ever, wasn’t someone Sara really recognized. In fact there was nothing about them that she recognized other then the look in their, it, the thingy’s eyes. She’d seen much of looks like that in her past and it actually made her back pedal away from that particular corner of the building. The child, who had just seen the guards on the ground whimpered, pushing his little face into Sara’s hair. “Ah, lets try that way.” Sara pointed Kami in a different direction.
(Hunter. If you need me to break this post up, PM me. I know there is a bit of a time jump. Tarin and Lee, It’s up to you on weather we stick together or part ways.)

(OOC: It's fine by me, allow me to lead the way for the next leg of our trip)
IC: Kami followed the cat woman through the building. He spotted her wound about the same time she did, however her unconcerned attitude towards it meant he chose to ignore it rather than comment. Ducking under windows to keep out of sight, and frowning in confusion at the dancing guards Kami made it to the windown the cat woman chose to exit by.
Her comment made it clear that she had no intention of simply leaving, but that bridge would be crossed when he came to it. Once outside he spotted a new mutant, one who seemed to be using powers similar to his own. It took him a while to realise that it was the couple fused somehow into one being. Rather than stop to work it out Kami turned and headed in the other direction.
After a quick dash over to a building they came to a fork in the alley ways. "Wait here," Kami said, "Let me pop up to take a look." With that Kami unleashed a stream of energy beneath him and shot up into the sky. Once above the buildings he quickly glanced around. Spotting some guards approaching their position he quickly planned an exit route before dropping back to earth.
"This way," Kami said, leading the cat woman down away from the direction the guards were approaching from. Once halfway down the alley Kami stopped and spun around, charing energy in each hand. Firing two blasts he partially collapsed the walls either side, causing rubble to fill the alley. "That should slow them a bit."
With that done Kami turned and headed on down the alley. It would emerge at the most dangerous part of their little journey. Once out of the buildings there would be a hundred meter dash to the APCs. However, once at the vehicles they could leave the kid safe there and then head back in.

Being an inherent pacifist, what was happening now was simply horrifying to Tarin. The incident a few months ago when he'd merged with the psycho who'd become obsessed with Lee wasn't even anything compared to this. He'd known he was a monster then, and the shock of the beating he'd taken hadn't worn off until after it was all over, then his only thought had been Lee and how to get her help.
The guilt had been almost unbearable, and while it was true that this situation was different in that the men they were killing were monsters, torture was torture and this was really too much.
Lee's emotions were starting to spiral and Tarin started to question the wisdom of this idea. Why had he thought that she could handle this? It was simple, he hadn't thought, the stalker had been right there, trying to kill them, there had been no choice. Tarin steeled himself against what was going to happen before the first guard died. Tarin could feel the accusation coming from Lee, and as the being killed a second guard something in him snapped and he just didn't care. There had been too much stress, too much pain, too much horror in the past few weeks for him to handle....and something was wrong with this merge, he still hurt and he felt like he was getting weaker and weaker by the moment. Resistance was impossible, so for the first time in as long as he could remember, Tarin simply gave up.
Tarin had never given over completely to a merge in his life, unless the time he'd been unconscious the whole time counted. He was angry now, and he'd probably regret it later, but he gave over completely, willing whatever would happen to happen.
It wasn't fair, he'd been so convinced that when he arrived here Lee would have had the time to think things over, would have come to the conclusion he expected and they would have each other again. Lee hadn't come to that conclusion, she'd been bitter and angry when she'd seen him, called him stupid for being there. He'd stood there, caked in blood and filth after battling his way through the camp and she hadn't been happy to see him.
The injuries he'd sustained were throbbing still in Tarin's embodied state and he was struggling to keep control of his consciousness. Tarin didn't know what was happening and he started to worry...not about the havoc the merged being was wreaking, but what was going to happen to him when it was all over.
Lee watched in horror through eyes that weren't hers to control as the guards in front of her stopped moving, stopped making noise. The smell from their burnt skin didn't stop that easily, though. But that wasn't the worst of it; now that she was paying attention, Lee felt, knew, this thing's intention of what to do next. It wanted more, this hadn't been enough for it.
Why the hell hadn't Rupert just shot her earlier when he had had the chance? At least if he had done that, this wouldn't have happened. She knew that Rupert would likely have preferred that. Hell, as she sat there helplessly watching the hunt for another victim, Lee thought that she would have preferred that.
There was energy coming from absolutely everywhere, even from under their feet. Feet that were walking through blood and gore as the being made its way through the camp. At least it was having a bit more trouble finding someone else at the moment, though Lee knew that wouldn't last much longer, they were bound to run into someone at any moment.
How the hell was she supposed to end this? Tarin had told her before, all those times he had warned her about the merging, that he hadn't exactly been able to stop it, it had just ended on it's own. The closest thing to that not happening had been when a spirit merged with Tarin, and had left after she had siphoned energy. But that wasn't exactly something she was able to do now, here. Even if she still had her powers while they were merged, how was she supposed to take energy from essentially herself? Plus, it was siphoning in more energy from everywhere than Lee had ever been able to.
Just there, up ahead, he found what he had been looking for. Not just one other guard, but a group. Apparently, there was a rather large number of people up there fighting, mutants and guards. And some Stalkers. The being grinned, pleased at his find. This was going to be fun.
It was only then, when Lee realized what was about to happen and started frantically trying to fight, that she realized she hadn't seen or heard any of Tarin's thoughts or memories for what seemed like forever. Yes, she had been greatly distracted by what was going on, but shouldn't he be fighting against this too? How could he possibly not fight against this unjust killing spree? He couldn't possibly be that callous, could he?
"Damn it, Tarin!" Lee mentally shouted, hoping that Tarin would actually be able to hear her, as she tried everything she was able to think of to keep the body she found herself stuck in from moving forward. She wasn't successful. "We need to get out of this. I know you're there! How the hell do we stop this?"
Sara followed Kami, staying close as her senses continued to feel like they were going wild. She kept the child between them. It bugged her that they hadn’t collected more stragglers on the way, but maybe that was a good thing, she told herself. Because that had to mean that they were taken care of.. She told herself.
"Wait here, Let me pop up to take a look."
“Right” Sara nodded. As Kami did his look out thing, Sara took the short few seconds to check her injury from the stalker. What ever had gotten her had made a clean cut. So the gash had already stopped bleeding and had closed enough that the first layer of shin skin already had formed. After the quick glance she let the loose fabric of her camp uniform fall back over it.
"This way,”
Again, Sara was following. She was slightly surprised but at the same time amused when the other mutant stopped and made his little obstacle for the guards.
At the edge of their last leg of their journey, Sara could see the gauntlet that lay a head. The resistance hadn’t been gentle in letting them selves in. That was for sure. There were bodies of guards stretched out in positions Sara couldn’t imagine a living person finding comfortable, next a small number of others Sara purposefully didn’t look at. The child grabbed Sara’s hand and chose to try and pull her back in the direction of whatever was left of the barracks. Surprisingly strong for the little tike. They didn’t have time for this, but Sara doubted she had strength to drag an unwilling kid mutant across the open area and be sure to keep them both out of harm. What were his powers anyways?
“Woah, Woah, Woah.” She pulled sideways so that the two of them were closer to the wall where there was more cover, then knelt to his level. “Where are you going?”
The kid shook his head with two sharp fast moves. “I don’t know.” His voice came out like a squeak.
“Hiding?”
His eyes dropped from Sara’s and he nodded with another two sharp moves of his head.
“This isn’t a place you can hide in, or from.” Sara lifted his chin so that she could see his big eyes again. “Trust that fact, I know.”
“Then what?”
“Then we just move forward.” Yeah, we move forward. Sara let go of the kids hand and held out her arm. He hesitated before stepping into her and she scooped him up. Nodding to the other mutant.
Tarin wasn't saying, thinking, whatever, anything. At least as far as Lee could tell as she watched the group of people getting closer through the thing's eyes. What was going on? She had been able to hear Tarin's thoughts before, had seen his memories, so what was going on now, why wasn't she hearing anything other than this monster's desire to make those guards pay?
Tarin couldn't possibly think this was right. Lee knew he couldn't, she knew how he had reacted to what had happened during his first merge, how it still effected him 14 years later. And while Lee knew that these guards were far from innocent, she also knew that no one deserved what this thing was going to do to them.
Where the hell was Tarin? She still couldn't hear him, couldn't feel his emotions.
And since he didn't seem to be doing anything, that left only her to try and get them out of this mess.
So Lee tried everything she could think of. She pulled, she pushed, she fought against the consciousness of the merged being. She tried to jump out of its head. Yelled, screamed, tried to get its feet to stop moving. She also tried to do everything she had ever tried to get out of dreams the few times she had been sucked into on. Still, nothing happened, she was still stuck.
But hadn't Tarin told her, when they first got together, that merging only worked with someone who was willing? She sure as hell was not willing now. Had he simply told her that to make her feel better? Or did that really only matter when the merge was just starting?
Then Lee, through the being's eyes, saw something that made her blood run cold. Or, at least more so than everything else she had been seeing that evening. Rupert, cut and bloody, was running at full tilt past her on the other side of the group of guards and mutants. And seemingly following him was a rather upset looking young woman.
A moment later, Lee saw the woman drop to her knees in pain, a pain that Lee knew all too well from the previous couple weeks. However, with after a quick glance around, Lee saw that the girl following Rupert seemed to be the only one whose collar was effecting her, all the other mutants were still fighting or running. Clearly, something horrible was going to happen there.
That's about when something snapped in Lee. Regardless of the cost, even if it killed her, this merge was ending. Even if she couldn't stop anyone else, she was not going to be responsible for any more death.
If someone were to ask her later, Lee wouldn't be able to properly describe how she had done it. The closest she could come up with was she pulled herself away from not only the merged being's consciousness, but also the slight whisper of Tarin's.
And next thing she knew, Lee found herself face down on the ground. Pushing herself up slightly, a tad unsteadily despite the energy she now had, it took Lee a moment to realize what the wet goo she was in actually was. And then her stomach heaved. The horror from what she had already seen, what she had been a part of doing, what was still going on around her, was joined with relief as she was actually able to empty her stomach onto the ground in front of her.
Once that was done and taken care of, Lee looked up, still on her hands and knees on the ground. Luckily, the guards that the merged being had been taking them toward were a little preoccupied with other mutants at that moment to have really noticed her and Tarin yet. Unluckily, Lee saw Tarin laying beside her, having not moved yet, practically passed out in the gore.
As she scrambled over to Tarin, Lee had another sickening realization. She had far more energy than she had had before the merge, but Tarin, apparently, didn't. His powers might not work while he's in a merge, but hers seemed to have. To make matters even worse, they hadn't simply been touching, and she had been scared and angry most of that time.
Not only had she killed people, but she had done this to Tarin.
"You need to get up, Tarin," Lee told him forcefully, not wanting to have to carry him and take more energy if at all possible. At the same time, though, she hated doing what she was about to do, hated to use this to get him up. "You need to get up, Tarin. For me. If you love me, if you've ever loved me, you need to get up now." As she spoke, Lee's eyes kept moving, all over the place, watching and waiting for the guards, or worse, the stalkers, to notice their presence.

There was hardly anything now, Tarin could barely keep a hold of himself and wondered vaguely if it was possible to die within a merge and what would happen if he did. Lee was still struggling against whatever was trying to happen and somewhere Tarin was hoping that she would succeed...more blood on his hands was the last thing that Tarin needed at this point. He honestly didn't know if he was going to make it through at all though, but at least Lee would have a fighting chance...or should with all the energy she'd gotten from the monster they'd created.
Suddenly though, they weren't moving anymore, and the pain doubled up on itself, Tarin could feel it every time he took a breath. He could also feel bubbles as he exhaled, could smell the metallic tang of blood in his nose when he inhaled, he was himself again...but he was so tired. Movement seemed to be an absolutely rediculous notion though, even if they were in the middle of a warzone he was just going to have to lay there and hope that everyone and everything thought he was dead. Maybe he was dead, and just hadn't realized it yet.
That didn't seem to be the case as Tarin's other senses caught up with touch and smell. Tarin could hear now, explosions, screams, all manner of horror and one other thing...Lee's voice. She was pleading, obviously using everything she could think of to get him up. She didn't want him there, but she didn't want him dead, that was a nice thing to know. It didn't change much and he still didn't think he was going to be able to move.
The guilt hit again though, he'd gotten Lee into this situation, whether it was by accident and misunderstanding or not and she wanted him to get out. Forcing his eyes open seemed like a monumental task, and his injuries pounded and stung and ached. The blood and more filth he was laying in ran into his eyes and that stung too. Tarin could feel his hair matted to his head and the sounds he was hearing made him want to cover his ears and just curl up into a ball. That's not what he did though.
Later, Tarin wouldn't remember how he'd done it or what had happened during this time, but he somehow managed to struggle to his feet, stumbling forward and falling to his knees once before gaining his feet.
Speech was something that seemed utterly foreign to Tarin, his mind was sluggish and attempting to form words wasn't even something he wanted to attempt. Hands on his knees, he looked at Lee pleadingly wondering what it was he was supposed to do. Debris showered them from somewhere to the left and Tarin could hardly turn his head to see where it was coming from, moving out of it's way was an utter impossiblitly. Turning towards Lee was a monumental effort and he looked at her pleadingly...."Where?" he managed to mutter, hoping it would be enough and she would glean his meaning from the single word.
Kami kept a look out while the cat woman convinced the kid that they'd be safer over by the ACPs. When he got the word to go he ran forward, holding his arms out either side of him. Taking care not to hit any mutants he unleashed a punishing volley of fire that would keep guards off them while they dashed across and out of the camps.
Once at the APCs they were met by the small contingent of soldiers that had been brought along in support. They were helping other mutants into the APCs. Three came forward to meet Kami. "Take the kid inside," Kami said, "I'm going back in to see if I can get anyone else out."
The soldier nodded, taking the kid out of the cat woman's arms. "Come on kid," the soldier said, "We've got some candy back here. Wont be long now till we head back, then you can go home. How does that sound?"
Kami turned to the cat woman and introduced himself. "The name's Kami. Now, do you want to stay here or come with me and get the other two back out?" He figured that she'd be coming with, in which case he had a plan to get them in there and find the others fast.
Sara followed close behind Kami. Witch wasn’t too hard to do since he was doing that energy ball thing and few really would be able to get an attack in. Some mutants were just lucky that way. Normal looking and power to kick tail.
"Come on kid, We've got some candy back here. Wont be long now till we head back, then you can go home. How does that sound?"
The man Sara had handed the child off to was trying to comfort him. It seemed to help a little bit because those brown eyes looked a little smaller. He leaned forward bad towards Sara and in a lown kid like thinking they were keeping a secret whisper said. “You’re not supposed to take candy from strangers. Does he know that?” The little thumb poked back in the man’s direction.
“I think it’s alright.” Sara said. “Just sit tight.”
The little child nodded and was carted off back to the ACPs. He’d be alright.
"The name's Kami.”
“Sara.” She nodded introducing herself.
” Now, do you want to stay here or come with me and get the other two back out?"
“I’m going back as many times as I can.” Till her body gives out if she has to.
Lee kept her eyes looking all over, watching for any sign that a guard had noticed them, any sign that the danger had gotten worse. And as she kept looking, she kept letting her eyes drop down to Tarin. It was horrible seeing how he looked, with the blood on his face, bubbling slightly at his nose as he breathed, and how tired he appeared, but at least his eyes were open now. He didn't say anything, but at least he was conscious.
"Come on, Tarin," Lee pleaded as she saw Tarin just laying there. "We need to get out of here..."
Finally, though, Lee saw Tarin start to move, struggling, and she leaned back to give him room. It took a while for him to make it to his feet, and Lee jumped closer, hands hovering just above Tarin as he fell to his knees. But she didn't actually touch him; the more she did, the more energy she would take from what little Tarin had left, and she did not want to do that, not if there was another choice.
At least he was up and moving now, even if it was barely, even if it seemed like the only reason he had even done more than simply open his eyes was because of how she had talked to him. But Tarin was on his feet now, even if he was leaning over, leaning on his knees as if that was all that was keeping him up.
Taking another look around as there was a small explosion nearby, Lee felt dirt and other stuff raining down on her as she heard Tarin's very tired voice asking where. Like she was supposed to know? He was the one who had come in with the resistance, hadn't he? Shouldn't he be the one who knew where they were supposed to go to get out of there?
The fact of the matter was that with how he was looking, how he had barely been able to say that one word, Lee knew that Tarin was even only conscious at that moment because she had told him he needed to get up, that he needed to move. "Um," Lee said, looking around again. "Let's try this way. Once we're out, you can sleep, I promise." That said, Lee turned, keeping an eye on Tarin to make sure that he came with her. She didn't want to have to carry him and drain more energy if she didn't have to, but if that was the only way to get the two of them out of the camps, she would.

Dragon King (looking like the Rock in tight fitting body armour) had left the infirmary, and was now roaming the camp grounds to find people who needed help. He hear a commotion and ran over to find a female and a wounded male (Tarin and Lee).
He ran over and stopped in front of them. “Are you guys ok?” It was then that he caught sight of Tarin’s injuries.
(OCC I am assuming that he has external wounds, i.e. cuts as well as internal ones)
“Can you walk? If not I can carry you, but first lets stop you bleeding.”
Dragon King gently lay Tarin down on the ground, and then pulled out a knife. He then did a really strange thing. He placed the fingures of this left hand near one of the deep cuts on Tarin’s chest and in one motion drew his sharp knife across the first joint of each fingure, severing them at the top joint. Immediately what looked like liquid lightening started to leak out of the wounds and they began to heal up. Quick as a flash Dragon King pressed his wounds against Tarin’s. Where Dragon King’s “blood” touched Tarin’s skin, it seemed to heal over. Dragon King repeated this with the other wounds, waiting till his fingures grew back before doing it again. Once for a deep cut he slashed his while wrist off to seal up the cut.
After looking a substantial amount of blood Dragon King was feeling slightly tired, not enough to impair him in any way but tired none the less.
“I can only heal skin wounds not deep ones. If you are ok lets get you out of here, can you walk? My name is Dragon King by the way, you can call me Dragon.”
