The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

((Continued from: (Raid) And it all hits the fan.....))
Tris watched the familiar bulk of the Mondragon complex approaching as the truck made its way back home (its home and her home....and Tris guessed, now the Sanctuary folks home too....atleast for awhile). She sat in the front seat and looked back at the new people and wondered what they were thinking about all this.......but Hunter would get everything explained and all sorted out.
She reflected it had all been rather easy to get Syn and her friends back here.....well it was a simple mission sure.......but this felt alittle easy and anticlimactic......she didn't even get to blow up one of these Stalked robots everyone seemed to be seemed to be raving about....-oh well, next time for sure.
She called out for the new folks benefit; "Almost there...." in a recurring voice, as they turned into a dark tunnel that was one entrance to the vehicle bay. Eventually, the truck pulled up and stopped, signalled their final arrival.
Tris jumped out the of truck quickly but couldn't see Hunter, she knew Hunter would be there to meet them very soon and explain everything, but still then she just had to keep the new people company.
"Soooooo, this is it." she said to Syn, gesturing vaguely around her at only one part of the huge complex. "Hunter will be down in a sec......then, I dunno, if you guys are hungry or tired, we can get you settled in....?" she left the questioning sentence hanging, asking what Syn wanted to do.
While they approached the facility known as Mondragon Labs Tris pointed out that they would be arriving shortly. Syn kept fairly quiet during the trip. Occasionally she spoke with Abyss or with Overcast but it wasn't anything more than asking how they were holding up.
Once they reached the vehicle bay of the facility Tris gave a general presentation stating they had made it to their destination. Syn looked around and noted some similarities the vehicle bay had to Sanctuaries own vehicle bay. Many different vehicles and most of them black in color. [iHow original[/i] she thought.
Tris offered up some options of food and rest once Hunter had finished with his greeting whenever that might be. "I'm sure my companions would accept any hospitality you have to offer. They may need some medical attention as well."
Hunter strode into the vehicle bay to watch the Order members who escaped arriving. Smiling slightly he went up to Syn. “Syn, if only this meeting were under more fortuitous circumstances,” he greeted, “Abyss, I’m glad you made it. Vibe is already here, picked up by someone, but her sister was taken. I also have managed to rescue several mansion members.”
He paused, letting the new sink in before continuing. “We all have the same foe here, so I’m asking you to leave any grudges at the door. I can tell you now that none of the ones I rescued are members of the X-men, they just live at the mansion. One of them, Nail, will probably not be thrilled to see you Syn, he wasn’t exactly over the moon when Kaz joined the team that rescued him.”
“Once you’ve settled in and anyone else I can recover is here I plan on calling a meeting of everyone to plan our next move. Now, is there anything you’d like to discuss before I take you all to the infirmary where we can get injuries checked out? After that you can either eat, rest or train until the meeting.”
Syn smiled as Hunter approached. Their last meeting ended so quickly. Perhaps she could have a more extended talk with him this time. She listened him as he mentioned having rescued mutants from Xavier's sister school. He made a point of mentioning that none of those he had brought to the facility were members of the X-men. Interesting. I wonder if the X-men have been captured. Wouldn't that be delightful.
"I assure you that my companions and I won't start any trouble with those form the mansion. However, should they attack us we will defend ourselves. I agree that we all have a common threat and it would be in our best interest to find a way to regain those who have been lost as well as find a way to defeat this bill."
Syn looked to her companions for a moment before looking back to Hunter. "I'm sure some of my companions could use some medical attention, but as for myself I am fine. I would like to speak with you however."
“If they attack you you won’t be the only ones defending yourselves,” Hunter assured her, “and the same goes for them. There will be no fighting under my roof. As you said, we have bigger issues. Tris can show your companions around, and we can retire to somewhere more private for our discussion.”
Hunter had a bone to pick with Syn, regarding his daughter. He had however calmed down since confronting Kaz. That did not mean that he was any less angry about the incident, merely that he would be more rational in resolving it.
Overcast had remained silent for the whole conversation, looking around at the vehicle bay. She had been in the one at the Sanctuary once or twice, and this one seemed to have many similarities to it. She wondered if that was because people tend to make vehicle bays the same, or if the person who designed this one had copied the Sanctuary's. She found this something she could easily think about while she waited for things to happen, and so she played with the various aspects of the idea for a few minutes.
The girl who had come to pick them up, Tris, invited them to food and rest. It sounded good, Overcast could use a good meal. But she had to keep her priorities straight: her arm was in need of some serious attention. But before she could say anything a new character entered the scene. He was dressed very finely and had rather long hair. There was something funny about his smooth pride - she decided she didn't trust him too much. But did she ever trust anyone when she first met them? Hunter. He must be the man in charge, that much she had gathered.
She heard him mention the mansion, and she remembered that Jaya had been there once, but quickly blocked that thought from her mind, pushing it out rudely in return for it coming in rudely. Syn repeated that some of them might need medical attention and she snapped too, realizing that Syn was trying to get her to take care of herself. "Right, that'd be me," she muttered to herself. She stepped forward a bit and, displaying her shirt-bandaged arm a little bit, spoke up, "Yeah, it'd be great if someone could show me to the place you keep your medical supplies."

She stepped forward a bit and, displaying her shirt-bandaged arm a little bit, spoke up, "Yeah, it'd be great if someone could show me to the place you keep your medical supplies."
Tris looked at the displayed arm and felt stupid as a sub host type person.......all this had happened in such a rush she hadn't even realized any of them had been seriously hurt, she jumped in; "Right, that would be me.....I can take you." she offered, knowing Hunter and Syn would want some alone time to chat in any case. She motioned the other girl, and Abyss if he'd like, to come along and lead the way out of the vehicle bay. ......and since she didn't really like first meeting awkward silences, she asked questions, and because she was curious- she asked questions about the giant robots; "So........ya dont have ta answer if you dont want too......but was wondering what fighting these stalker types is like? First hand accounts and all......I've only heard the facts of em so far."
Overcast walked along in a general silence, allowing this Tris woman to lead her to the place where they kept their medical supplies. Abyss came along too, and she was secretly glad for this, though she didn't show it on her face. She was wrapped up in her own thoughts - mostly about how to sew up a good wound - when Tris asked about the robots. Abyss gave a satisfactory answer, but she figured she might as well add a bit more. "There's the normal ones," she said, "the ones that I can just blow to bits, and then there's the ones with shields. They're annoying, because the shield slows you down. You can't blow them to bits until you get rid of the shield, and it's a pretty thick one at that." She looked down at her arm. "And not to mention, whenever you're being dumb they can catch you off guard and slice you open with their wicked tails." She sighed and looked up at Abyss. He had some pretty decent bruises on his head. And that was even with protection, she thought to herself.
Tris listened to Abyss's grave response with growing concern.....they seriusly didn't sound fun, and it hit home hard that humans had come up with these things that could do this......made it alittle more reall for Tris.
"Do you know where Vibe is? I would like to catch up with her as soon as we attend injuries."
Tris shook her head showing her negative knowlegde of anyone called Vibe.....but just then her watch spoke up with Kit's voice.
"Tris, anyone from Sanctuary that wants to see Vibe. Send them to the infimary."
Tris smiled a crooked smile at that comment; "Alittle creepy, but we have an answer." she chuckled.
The other girl spoke up; "There's the normal ones," she said, "the ones that I can just blow to bits, and then there's the ones with shields. They're annoying, because the shield slows you down. You can't blow them to bits until you get rid of the shield, and it's a pretty thick one at that." She looked down at her arm. "And not to mention, whenever you're being dumb they can catch you off guard and slice you open with their wicked tails."
Turning the last corrner, they stepped down the last corridor to the infirmary as Tris listened in growing horrified facination to the girls accounts of these mechianal monsters.......sheildsand tails on robotic killers......what a fun time we're in for- Tris thought sarcastically. As a distraction from the depressing subject, Tris opened a door with a florish and said; "We're here." and beackoned them inside.
