The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“Few course of action for causes such as this result in bloodless victories,” Kami responded, “The plans of the resistance are proof enough of that. While I will seek a non-violent solution, if none is present I shall not hesitate to use force.”
“After all, I have spent my life dedicated to an ancient fighting art, perhaps now I can put those skills to use.” Just then a man came over and, after apologising for the interruption, began to direct questions at Syn. Kami ticked into his meal, letting to two converse without his interference.

Shogun came to stand next to mandain, and let the boy talk. He didn't seem sure that Horus had been evil around the lady, or that they had even met. Oh well. His problem. The man took Shogun's attention though, and since he was staying out of the way of Mandain and the woman, Shogun decided to converse with him. "I noticed you were at the meeting. Are you planning to join the Resistance?" He had picked up every word between him and the woman, but he felt that the man may see it as eavesdropping and take it the wrong way.
During the conversation with Kami another pair of figures approached. One of them introduced himself as Mandain, but Syn knew him as Horus yet there was something different about him. His personality was different and less aggressive. "Yes, we have already met before. Nice to see you made it here Horus."
Syn gave Kami a smile and a nod in response to his reply. It was good to know he wouldn't freeze up if things got messy.
"If I may be so bold, How did you and Horus cross, and what are the intentions. You see, I'm the second him" Mandain smiled. For some reason whatever Horus saw in this girl, it was dark, and for some reason, it may become to good use for Mandain as well. Mandain noticed Shogun continued his conversation with the monk. He didn't listen to what it was going about, this woman was far more interesting, maybe she could also shine some light on Horus to see what he is really is.
A second him? Was this guy saying that there are two people in the same body? "I met Horus in an alley. I didn't want him to harm my people so I stepped in and offered him the chance to redirect his fury elsewhere. He gladly accepted."
The woman knew Horus, and fury, yes that was what Horus had a lot of. "May I know where Horus directed his fury? And of course what your part was, a deal, or something?" "Ooooh, Syn that is, she good" Horus woke up in the mind, seeing his boss. Normally Horus wouldn't take orders, but she was special, and had similar interests. "Care let out me in time some" "Yes Horus in a moment" Horus would soon have a word with this girl called Syn.

Kami turned to look at the samurai. He paused for a moment, considering the question before answering, “Indeed I am. I was driven from my homeland by hatred of mutants, and I will take this opportunity to fight against it.”
The samurai intrigued him. He had expected to look very out of place, which he did, but with another Asian, and one who was dressed as nostalgically as he was, he did not seem as strange.
"Oh darn" As Mandain gave a look to the clock he had to go to prepare himself for the meeting that was talked about in the grand meeting earlyer this day. "If you will excuse me, We will talk later about this matter Syn, I'll see you around Shogun". Mandain smiled and walked away, but quickly came back to grab his meal and take off again.

OOC: Crap! I completely forgot about this thread!
Ah, very noble. He sensed that the man was more at ease around Shogun, probably because he didn't feel so out of place. Shogun noted Mandain making a swift exit, but Shogun sat down in front of the energy man. "From what I can tell, you have a very interesting mutation. It seems like you could run without tiring much longer than most. Am I wrong?" he was only guessing but he assumed that, as with most mutants, his personality actually gave a description of his abilities as well.
Syn nodded to Mandain or Horus or whichever one he was at the time as the man left. He could be a risk if he shares memories between his personalities. Might have to talk with him again at a later time.
Turning back to Kami and the other guy Syn listened to their little conversation while she ate some more of the tidbits of food she had put on her plate.

(OOC: Also forgot, so that makes 3 of us)
Kami nodded to the Samurai's question. "That is correct. In fact I could run for several months before tiring. What about yourself?" he asked the Samurai in turn, "What ar eyou capable of that others are not?"

(OOC: Well as long as we all forgot, that's ok then lol)
shogun was a little uncomfortable about revealing his powers, especially with Syn nearby. He didn't trust the moman any more than he could throw her, and that was at a push. He could also tell that his fellow asian wasn't revealing everything; a very common trait, amongst every mutant he had met. "I am blind, but my power overcomes this. I can see people in a way similar to everyone else, but deeper. I can see what they are about to do, and I can see their personality. That was how I could make a guess at your mutation, regardless of the control you have over it. Though I must say, you keep your energy well hidden. Noone else could have spotted it, from what I can tell. It must have taken a large amount of practice." Though if the man can run for months without tiring, then he must have a lot of time on his hands to practise.
Remainging quiet Syn continued to eat and drink, but she was being very observant. Listening to the two men talk was turing out to be rather interesting. They tried to speak without saying too much. This was something Syn could relate to as she does it all the time.

"I have indeed had much time to practise," Kami answered before taking another mouthful of food. Swallowing he continued, "I have had the equivilant of fifty years of martial arts training." He waited to see how both Shogun and Syn would react to this news. Kami was only twenty five, but his stamina allowed him much more time to train.
