The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz smirked at Syn, he could almost hear the questions in her head. "Well, a few sword slashes here and there. Fun little spar if I do say so. A drink afterwards, and a business proposition." Kaz was silent for a moment as he let Syn soak up his words, and make her own conclusions. He left out who approached who on purpose. "And this, was a gift, as he transfered full control and ownership of Atlas Munitions to me." Chuckling slightly. "Both your meeting and mine, were purely business based. I just got to know him a bit more. Swords ringing out against each other can say more than words ever could. So when I say heed what he says, I mean it."
The look in Syn's eyes were speaking volumes as well as any sword at the moment. Was kaz trading sides to join Hunter? There was a hint to that probability but she couldn't be certain.
"My dear Kaz, I'm not sure how much stock I would put into his concerns. You say you got to know him better than I? So then how would you feel about knowing that I make Hunter nervous? I would be careful if I were you Kaz. If you're planning to or already have joined him then you might want to look into things a bit more. On the other side of things we don't have much for defenses here or at KP so the use of his Labs would prove to be better strategically."

Kaz raised an eyebrow slightly, barely noticeable. Chuckling quite softly, "I'm sure your pheromones had a part to play in your chat to make him 'nervous'." Shrugging his shoulders a bit, dismissively, "Whether or not I've allied myself with him or not is not the issue, nor should it be Syn. As you said, there's not in the way of defense at our current facilities." Kaz moved towards Syn with a controlled stride. As he did he spoke in the whispered tone again for Vibe only. "Choose soon." When he reached Syn, he spoke softly for her to hear. "Remember what I said at KP. I work with and help you because I feel like it, because it benefits me to do so. I am no one's, lackey, patsy, or underling. So I wouldn't be 'switching sides' to join him." Kaz smiled at her and walked passed her. He stopped as he reached the infirmary doors and turned around, waiting for whatever words would follow.

Vibe listened curiously, and a bit suspiciously, as Syn and Kaz conversed, pausing every now and then to translate the bits that Amp couldn't catch. The redheads were naturally distrustful of new people. She didn't like the idea that this Hunter character knew so much, when they had yet to meet him. Vibe glanced over at Isabel to see her reaction, out of curiosity.
The pair's attention refocused on Abyss as he spoke up, and voiced their concerns. They weren't at all worried about Office Barbie or any of the other residents, but they also didn't like the idea of hiding behind closed doors, at least not with idea of cowering. Hiding until a better opportunity to attack presents itself was another matter.
" What is your take on him, Is he trust worthy? IS he simply cautious by checking us out first or is he a sneaky bastard?"
"And what's he getting out of this deal anyway, if his place is so untouchable?" Amp added outloud. "What's he need our help for?" Despite the appeal of working with other mutants against the Xmen, she still wasn't convinced that this 'enforcer' group was a threat that they couldn't handle on their own.
"Choose soon."
Suddenly Vibe stiffened. >I need some air,< she stated flatly, and got abruptly to her feet. She headed for the door, avoiding both Kaz's gaze and his healer friend. Amp looked at her sister in surprise as she all but ran out of the room.
"Vibe, what's wrong? Vibe? Vibe! Wait up!" Amp followed her sister out the door, trying to figure out the sudden departure.
Isabel focused back upon Syn as she shut off hr phone and addressed them again, one eyebrow quirked curiously. She didn't particularly care any for these 'new enforcers'. In her mind, she just figured they were better equipped humans. Kind of like cops. Isabel loved playing with the cops, they were so much fun, albeit a bit fragile. However she didn't like Kaz's input on the enforcers. She watched him and Syn bicker back and forth quietly, her curious expression turning back into more of a pout. She didn't like the idea of Kaz leaving, especially to go join some guy she'd never even heard of, but was apparently assimilating some kind of personal mutant force. She was starting to dislike Antonescu more and more. She didn't like the idea that he wanted them all to hide at his lab and she hated the thought that he already knew so much about them. True, Isabel was one of the least inconspicuous mutants around, but she still liked to keep her mutation more on the quiet side until she could personally demonstrate them to someone. Whether that demonstration involved stabbing them in the ribs or not all depended on the situation.
"So he expects us to just hide in his labs until this thing works itself out?" she inquired, her stubborn streak already starting to appear as her mind made up excuses to do just the opposite of that so she could have some fun. "I don't want to hide. I want to fight against this thing. I'm not going to let these people push me around simply because they're scared of us," she said, letting her stubbornness infect her words now as well as her thoughts. "We can't really do anything to improve our situation with the Senator by hiding out. Plus, it sounds boring being stuck inside a place like that all day."

Kaz looked at Abyss from the corner of his eye for a moment befor turning to fully face him. It was clear he was aggravated by his question, even though it was asked in a calm unaccusing manner. His ground his teeth slightly, "Who do you think I am Abyss?! Some snitch? A sell-out? I have NO clue how he knows about the Order or how much he truly knows about any of you." He took a couple of steps towards Abyss, "You might feel 'violated' slightly, but it's nothing compared to how I feel. He knows about my past, he knows about what I did when I first came to New York." Throwing his hands up, "For all I fucking know, he knows about the punks I murdered back in Arizona!"
Kaz moved back a bit and took a breath to calm down. He couldn't feel the blood lust or the uncontrollable rage anymore, and he couldn't begin to understand why. Though he couldn't feel it, he didn't want to temp it either. "From what I know Abyss, I doubt he'd turn any mutants away. I doubt the enforcers are mere humans. He wouldn't be worried or concerned if they were. Hell, he beat me fair and square. Against humans, they wouldn't stand a chance." Shrugging, "For all we know it could be another Weapon X thing. Mutants trained or brainwashed or of their own free will, willing to attack other mutants for some sort of payment."
"From what I know, he found out about the Order some how. He knew about the Xmen, who doesn't, and he didn't know who we were or what we were about. I think that is/was his entire reason for checking up on us. He's trustworthy, as far as anyone who follows their own agenda is. But for the time being, I don't think there'd be any reason to worry. In this case, we're all on the same side." Kaz looked to Amp as she piped up. Snickering slightly. "He's connected. Politically, financially, socially. If things go crazy, it could mess with his business. He's been around...for a long time. There's probably more going through his head than we can grasp. You don't always make an alliance because you need help, you make them so you don't need help. If it's found you have a strong united front, those opposed to you are less likely to move against you."
Kaz didn't bother to follow Vibe with his gaze as she left the room in a hurry. He let his gaze wander to Isabel as she spoke up with her opinion. "Not everything can be won and defeated with a straight assault and open fighting. Even subtle assaults can accomplish the opposite of what we want. I doubt we're expected to just sit around and do nothing. But wait around until we get more information, that sounds a good idea." He sighed and shook his head a bit. "Isabel, if you feel that way, march yourself up the steps to the senate, stab and slash your way in, see how far you get. If you some how get through to the main people, how many can you kill before you're shot or beaten or knocked unconscious then experimented on or locked up. Think of it that way. Wait, gather info, prepare, strike when it's most advantageous for you and when they least expect it."
He turned and stepped towards the door again. "As for me, I have things I have to take care of. Not all of us think just of ourselves."
Syn listened to everyone with their input with Kaz taking up the last portion of time. They all had ideas but Syn had to look at things in a new light. She couldn't be her usual self and do whatever she wanted. Not since she had recieved word...
A few days ago Syn had an email message from Dorian. In it he stated that he had other affairs to attend and he would not be around as often now that Sanctuary was up and running. He had decided to place the black and red haired girl named Syn as the new manager of the facilities at both Sanctuary and KP as well as being placed as the new leader of The Order. He made comment of how all of the employees at both facilities have been given instructions to follow her as they did for himself. With this new level of power and opportunity Syn has had to rethink her ways and "grow-up" mentally as well as emotionally. Although, she would still have her own fun when she wanted.
Syn turned to kaz as he stood by the door. Her green eyes were locked on to his gaze. "You have some very good points Kaz, and so does everyone else. However, I don't want to lose any of our members as we are already low in numbers. I'm sorry Issy but I'll have to deny going after the Senator. My dear brother. The thought of releasing a mass amount of Haywire into the water system does sound like a lot of fun, but that would only push the bill to be passed without denial in much shorter time. We need to use the time the humans are taking to debate amongst themselves and prepare ourselves for whatever they might throw at us and fight back to show the weak humans that we truly are superior. Thus it brings us to our current situation. It would be to our benefit to accept the useage of Hunters facility to form a united front with both of our groups focused on a common goal." She spoke to everyone but her line of sight never left Kaz. "As for you Kaz. I hope that you keep any knowledge you have of the Order and it's capabilities to yourself. I don't trust Hunter enough to open all the doors to him."
Taking a deep breath the girl looked back at the others still in the room. "I'm going to my room for a bit to rest but if any of you need me then you know where to find me." With that said Syn slipped past kaz and left the Infirmary enroute to her room.
"Maybe I will," Isabel muttered sulkily in response to Kaz's stab-n-slash comment, crossing her arms and glowering at the floor. She didn't want to think of the possible outcomes that he'd mentioned. She didn't like those options and so she simply pushed them to the back of her mind. She had always found it easier to just jump into a situation and not bother to worry about the consequences until later. True, it tended to get her into more trouble than necessary, but that's just how she worked. Stab now and ask questions later. She didn't care if Kaz disagreed. She was angry with him by this point so she wouldn't have listened to him anyways. Big dumb Kaz and this group of Antonescu's. He could have at least given them a little warning that he was going to leave. Isabel hated it when people just packed up and disappeared, especially when it was someone that had been hanging around for a decent amount of time. She had grown terribly attached to the members of the Order. They were kind of like a family in a way, or at least in her mind they were.
She continued to sulk as Syn decided to leave the Senator alone for the time being and just lay low, watching out of the corner of her eye as everyone started leaving. She gave up glaring at the floor as Abyss spoke to her, lifting her gaze to look over at him instead, no longer glaring but just looking a little put out. "I'll just have to find some way to entertain myself on my own," she said, giving a small sigh. They were wrong if they thought they could keep her all cooped up in some lab turned safe haven for long periods of time. She'd slip out sooner or later, even if it was just to go for a walk to clear her head. She returned Abyss' smile, nearly chuckling at his remark about a mean Dr. Seuss. She just couldn't pout very well when someone smiled at her. Smiles were contagious. "If you were Dr. Seuss I'm sure you'd have a lot of mutant fans out there. I know I'd buy your books."

Lyn sat on the medical bed silent as the words and ideas exchanged. <So many differences of opinion in this group. How would they ever get anything done.> Where the thoughts that repeated in her head over and over as the time slowly dragged on. It may have gone unnoticed by the others, but as Kaz stood at the door, she noticed him tense just the slightest. It has been a long time since she ever looked at him in a truly questioning way as she was at that moment. He had asked to for a favor, to help these people with their injuries, <Maybe it's his way of saying goodbye....> Her thoughts faded to silence in her head as the twins ran off, followed by the black and red haired girl calmly walking out.
Kaz relaxed just the slightest as Syn spoke words he didn't think he'd ever hear her say. He was sure he knew what her reaction would be, and oh how he would have enjoyed the beating she would receive. He had given her two warning before, she wouldn't get a third. Though he couldn't help himself from smirking at her words. <Finally she gets it. Something changed with her....but, when?> When she spoke to him about keeping his mouth shut, he didn't justify it with a response.
He turned to Abyss when he spoke to him. His smirk turned into a smile as he looked at his big red friend. "Haha, ya know I always love it when we go have fun." With that, he clapped the big man on the back a couple of times before he looked at Isabel. He may be leaving, but not just up and disappearing. In fact, where the Twins stayed, there were two visa gift cards each with over $1million dollars balance, also, they each have an envelope with a card inside, if they bring it to any dealership, they can get their choice of vehicle/s. Abyss, what could you get for a man with six clones, who's favorite look is the mafia look? Suits and guns and many fun toys. Similar to the Twins, Abyss also has a visa card with $7million, a nearly unlimited supply of free suits from a specialty shop, as well as an ID card, sanctioned by Kaz himself, to let Abyss get any type of gun, rocket launcher, or specialty equipment from them, but nothing labeled secret or specialty designed. Isabel, he didn't know much about her, but, he did notice that she tended to use her bones like a type of sword. He had told her a while ago he'd show her how to use a blade correctly, and he intended to. Taped to her door were some disks, that could be loaded into the training area or into a DVD player. They contained training sessions and instructions, attack and defense, taught by Kaz himself. As for Syn, he didn't do anything special. He left an ornamental jeweled dagger in the door frame at the top.
Nodding slightly he looked to the door, pushed them open and walked out towards his room.
Lyn hopped down from the bed and walked up behind Kaz. She kept on his heels until they were a fair distance away, "You are leavin aren't you." Kaz only responded by turning his head slightly and looked at her from the corner of his eye before looking ahead again. "You're just gonna leave me here?"
"I never brought you here in the first place, I only told you about it so you'd have a place to stay and not live on the streets. Whatever you do form here on is your own choice." He looked at her again and could tell what she was thinking. "Whether or not it goes through, you should do something. Go figure it out for yourself. I've got things to do." With those words Kaz picked up his pace and quickly left Lyn behind.
