The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Syn turned to Amp as she stated her enthusiasm about teaming with the X-Men. She couldn't help but giggle a little. Syn was very glad to have the twins in her group. They made things so much more lively.
Walking over to Amp and placing a hand on her shoulder she then turned to speak to everyone. "I think now would be a good time for me to share some information with you all." The girl paused and looked around at everyone to see who was paying attention.
"I have recently made an alliance with a new group of mutants. Ones who also have a dislike for the X-Men and are willing to work with us as partners." Syn's eyes once again surveyed the room to see if that had gotten everyones undivided attention.
Isabel winced only slightly as the stitches were removed. Having them pulled through her skin once was bad enough, but having the thread pulled through a second time was anything but pleasant. "A very big dog," she replied, another small grin worked its way around a second cringe as the bandages on her shoulder were removed. She returned to watching with mild interest as her skin knit back together, peeling off the bandages on her face as she did so. Twisting her arm and rotating her shoulder, she smiled and uttered a small thanks, glad to be able to move her limbs once again without getting a sharp stab of pain as a result of the motion.
"After our little scuffle I don't think the X-men would be too keen on helping us out right away, and I'll admit that I won't go around seeking their help anytime soon, either. If we're going to go looking for assistance we should at least give it a little time seeing as neither of our groups are too fond of each other. There's no trust between us and some of us have had some damage done to our prides as well as our bodies, which may tempt thoughts of revenge. We should let things cool down a bit first before we go asking for help," Isabel said, making an effort to include herself in the conversation rather than just sitting back and listening like she'd been doing.
As Syn spoke of some sort of news to share, Isabel allowed her gaze to travel over to her, waiting for her to tell whatever it was she had to say. At the mention of alliances and new mutant groups, her eyes immediately brightened up with a brimming curiosity. "A new mutant group? Who are they? Do we get to meet them soon?" she inquired, a hundred different questions all flitting through her mind at once. She liked meeting new mutants, they always made things so much more interesting.

Lyn looked at the large red man. In a sweet and sincere voice. "Thank you. I appreciate it." She held her hand out, "Don't fight it..." Abyss would feel a bit of a tingle through his body when the siphon started. She nodded at his question. "Depending on how much I take. I could take all of it and kill you..." She smiled, "But if not, you'll just feel tired and need some R&R afterwards." It was odd what she was getting, almost like...seven different people were handing their energy to her. Beyond that, it was thick and strong, more so than Kaz's, as if Big Red had been through a hell of a lot in his life where his soul was greatly attached to him. In a matter of moments she felt completely restored. "Oh, you're like a generator big guy. You must'a been through some sheit." She looked around the room. "If any of you have cosmetic injuries, scars, bruises and the like, you want gone, tell me. With Big Red there, I don't think I'll have a problem fixin any of that up." He looked at Abyss. "I didn't catch your name." She didn't care for whatever the group was talking about, she was just doing Kaz a favor, that's all she was there for.
Kaz watched Vibes reaction and frowned at her a bit. In the same way he did before, "Would you want to talk about it? I think Lyn might be able to give you your voice..." He trailed off just a bit.
Nodding at Abyss' thought. "Might be a good idea to get a true 'safe house' ready for the younger and more worried of the mutants. He looked at Syn when she spoke of meeting someone and another group. "Might you have met a tall, dark and handsome guy by chance?" Kaz had a good idea who it was, but he wasn't going to out right assume or say anything.

>Soul tapping?< Vibe watched Lyn, her curiosity overriding her worries a bit. She wondered just how much healing the girl could perform...
" My thoughts exactly, I hadn't meant those humans when I said us, I meant mutant kind. I think that we should get the younger of the mutants here into some type of underground. Well, Heck any of those that wish to not get involved that at least will ensure some free mutants, if nothing else." Amp merely shrugged. Unlike her sister, she was firmly convinced such measures were a waste of time. But as Syn moved over to her side and announced she had news, Amp kept her mouth shut.
"A new mutant group? Who are they? Do we get to meet them soon?" Isabel asked. Amp also perked at the news, and even Vibe seemed curious now.
"Might you have met a tall, dark and handsome guy by chance?" Kaz asked. Suddenly Amp giggled and looked at Syn.
"If you did, is he available? And if so, how much is he worth?" That brought a smile back to her sister's face. The conversation had gone back to more familiar ground, at least a bit, allowing her to push her depressing thoughts aside for a bit.
"Would you want to talk about it? I think Lyn might be able to give you your voice..."
It was probably a good thing Amp wasn't looking in her sister's direction, because the expression on her face would have elicited an immediate, "What's wrong?" And Vibe wasn't sure she could answer properly. She looked at Kaz, her eyes wide, then her eyes shifted to the healer woman, Lyn he'd called her, then back again.
Then, the expression was gone. Her eyes and expression went blank. She wasn't sure if he could read lips, but she mouthed a response anyway:
I have a voice. It's just different than yours.
Then she looked away. But it was obvious she wasn't happy again.
The mentioning of a new group of mutants did spark interest with her companions. They all asked questiosn but Kaz's questions were very specific. What did he know? Did he have a meeting as well? One thing she did know was that Hunter didn't have all the information about The Order and Syn would use taht to her advatage if needed. Perhaps Kaz had told Hunter some things or maybe Kaz was forced to talk. There wasn't any way to tell at the moment so she had to play her cards right.
"I have met with a man named Hunter Antonescu, and I don't think he's the type to want a girlfriend Amp. He is the leader of a small band of mutants that he consideres to be more of a strike force than anything else. I met him in Central Park and he seems to have knowledge of most of us here and clamis to have more information as well. I do know that his group doen't have much love for the X-Men so we now have an ally that we can use to overwhelm Tricity and her step children and finish off the X-Men." Syn paused as she found herself getting a bit selfish. At the moment the X-Men were the least of their worries.
"I'm sure that they have also seen this announcement and I have every intention of testing their loyalty. Our two groups would be a powerful force should the Government pass their bill and forcefully try to register or capture us." The young girl looked around as her words sent into the others minds.
As Hunter strode from the meeting he pulled a phone from his pocket and began dialling. His political connections had warned him of the impending bill, but had given him more information than others had gotten from the news. It would take nothing short of both the Order and the X-men turning themselves in to stop it getting passed, and some how he figured that wasn’t going to happen.
He was going to warn Syn, as well as offer his help, including the lab as a place to hide as well as counter attack from. Having dialled he held the phone to his ear and waited for her to pick up.
Before anyone had a chance to respond to Syn's words the cell phone she had received from Hunter began to ring. The ring tone was that of the Death March song. The girl smiled as it seemed Hunter had a sense of humor.
Pulling the phone from her pocket she looked to varify it was him calling. "Well, speak of the devil." She pushed the accept button and put it top her ear. "Well, you sure didn't waste much time calling me. Did I make that good of an impression on you or did you just miss me?"

Kaz held his hands up a bit at Vibe's response as if to say 'sorry'. He took it as if he insulted her. In the same whispered way, "I didn't mean it like that. I meant so you could speak audibly with those who can't read lips, and when Amp isn't around." He looked her in the eyes hoping she'd understand what he meant and where he was coming from.
"Speak of the devil." Kaz couldn't help but smirk at Syn's words. "Syn, I think the answer is neither." He spoke loud enough so that he would be heard through the phone." He looked over to Isabel. "How ya feelin?" He wasn't overly concerned with Syn and the phone call from Hunter, at least not at the moment.
"Ooh, Devil Man calls," Isabel muttered, a small grin once gain crossing her features as she attentively watched Syn retrieve her phone and speak to the person on the other end. She was very curious now and wanted to know more about this mysterious Mr. Hunter Antonescu and his group of mutants. She wanted to meet them and see what they were like. It sounded like fun to meet up with a new group and she was always up for anything that sounded like fun.
She turned her attention over to Kaz as he spoke to her, though she was still listening for any of the one-sided part of the verbal exchange she might hear from Syn. "I'm feeling much better now. Your friend is a marvelous healer, thanks for bringing her along" she replied, giving a pleased smile, all traces of her earlier irritation and pouting having melted away with the prospect of new interesting things happening for the Order. "What about you? How are you doing after the little game of mutant tag at KP?"

Amp pouted a bit that the man wasn't available, but the thought of new allies was an idea appealing enough for the expression to be superficial. It seemed that Isabel shared her excitement.
When the phone rang, Amp nudged her sister, trying to get her to eavesdrop. Vibe was glad for the distraction, as it gave her a valid excuse to break away from Kaz's gaze and not reply to his statement. She was still obviously uneasy, but Amp passed it off as worry about the Registration bill. There were time Vibe was glad they weren't telepaths. While the thought of being able to speak was appealing, the thought of Amp not being around all of the time was just as equally unappealing, and unnerving.
Amp, meanwhile, turned her attention to what the others were saying, her eyes bouncing back and forth as she attempted to keep up with the conversation on her own. When she made out the words 'hot tub' she visibly brightened. Next to cash and chaos, anything having to do with the water made the Twins happy.
“Syn, much as I love just chatting idly to you I’m afraid this is a business call. I’m sure you’ve seen on the news that there is a new law soon to go before the President for approval. I can tell you now that unless you and the X-men turn yourselves in for the scuffle at King Pharmaceuticals that bill will get passed.”
He heard Kaz in the background, but as he didn’t know whether Kaz had spoken to Syn about leaving the Order he didn’t comment on it. “It’s highly likely that the Sanctuary will become a target. While I know you’d all put up a valiant fight, you’d loose. Some of my contacts have heard about a new type of enforcers that are being brought in to enforce this law. I currently have no details other than they are very powerful.”
“I’m willing to offer you my facility, Mondragon Labs, to hide in. I’m well connected enough to keep those sniffing for mutants off my scent, at least for a while. While at the lab we can work on a plan to fight against this threat and let us all keep our freedom.” With his offer made he waited for Syn’s response.
"Yes, we have seen the broadcast and you can be assured that we will never surrender to the humans. I'll leave that option to the X-Men." Her tone was very serious and stern. Anyone listening could tell she really meant what she said, but when he mentioned some sort of enforcers all the girl could think of were possibly well armed and well equipped humans.
Thinking of possibly being attacked Syn realized that Santuary didn't really have much for offensive capabilities. It could however lock down like a fortress but what good is that. Then you're just hiding like a coward.
"Perhaps your idea could be a beneficial one. I'll have to speak with my comrades first however. I'll call you back with our answer." With that Syn pushed the end button and the call stopped.
Turning to the others she thought breifly before speaking. "Hunter has offered us the use of his facility Mondragon Labs. He says he has recieved intell about some sort of new enforcers that will be put into use once this registration bill is passed. His tone seemed to suggest that these won't be an easy foe to fight against." She looked around at the others faces to gauge their feelings and listen for their responses.

Amp sighed as Vibe translated everything to her. "Like I said, I still don't see a reason to worry so much. But since everyone else is, then I say go with Abyss's idea and hit them before they can hit us. If the bill doesn't get passed, then neither do these 'enforcers', whoever they are."
Then she thought of something else that Vibe had overheard. "This Hunter guy said he had 'connections' right? So can't he pull some strings to sabotague things? Bribe a senator, or hire a hit man?"
Vibe rolled her eyes and shook her head. While of the pair it was Amp who was more confident, Vibe was the thinker. She knew it would never be that easy. But she didn't bother to try and correct her sister. Usually in sync with each other, the Sonic Sisters seemed to be out of tune at this point.

Laying one hand over the other, he pressed the button on the watch after Syn hung up the phone. He wasn't sure how the system worked exactly, but he figured it was similar to a walkie talkie system, and he was sure Hunter would be on the other side. "Amp," Kaz looked at her with a questioning gaze. "That idea, means we'd essentially have to take down the entire US government in one fell swoop. And though we're easily more powerful than humans, it would be extremely improbable to do." Kaz sighed as he put his legs over one side of the bed and stood on the floor.
"Connections I don't doubt he has." He looked at the watch on his wrist, that has probably gone unnoticed by everyone for a couple of days. "He could do those things, but it wouldn't do anything but push the bill through and activate the 'enforcers' sooner." Kaz thought back to his spar with Hunter. "If he seemed even slightly worried or concerned about these 'enforcers', I'd suggest we heed his warning." Kaz looked directly at Syn and answered her unasked question as he let go of the watch button. "Yes I've met him. I know him well enough. As well as he'll let people know him." Kaz shrugged slightly. He held up his arm with the watch. "And no, I haven't told him anything. Where you received that," Pointing to the cell phone, "I received this."
Syn listened to Kaz and then watched him show his watch. "And what exactly did your meeting with Hunter entail? Did he seek you out or the other way around?" She was very curious to hear Kaz's answers. Then she thought for a moment. Why would he give Kaz a watch unless there was some kind of device inside it. Hell, there might even be something within her cell phone. Mentally Syn was kicking herself for accepting the phone without having it checked out first.
