Lee stopped insisting that she could go back to the shop with Tarin and he actually found himself relaxing a bit. It wasn’t that Tarin didn’t want Lee to be there, or that she couldn’t handle the walk, or anything like that. It wasn’t even that Tarin thought he wanted to be alone. Tarin just wanted to handle this bit on his own, for something to go to plan. Lee thought she might just stay on the couch and not do anything productive while he was gone and Tarin smiled over at her. ”That’s your prerogative as long as you don’t get any illusions of grandeur once I get home.” If she wanted a mellow night, God knew she had earned it.
The next few minutes passed in comfortable silence, and Tarin checked his watch yet again.
”I think I’m going to head out in case they’re a little early. That isn’t unheard of and the sooner they’re done the sooner I can come home.”

As long as she didn't decide to try and be productive later, once Tarin got home. Lee gave Tarin a little smile. That wouldn't be a problem, doing nothing except spending the entire evening on the couch with Tarin sounded like perfect plans for that night.
But Tarin thought that he should start heading to the shop in case the client was early. "Alright, hurry home," Lee said as she leaned in to kiss Tarin softly.
And hopefully this next client would be early and the one after would be a no show so that Tarin could get back home that much quicker.
