The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

”Oh yeah?” he asked smirking to her. He was on the team she was referring to though he didn’t really think of himself as a superhero. Action figures aside. He just had the ability to help people and he had a lot to make up for. Now the other members of the team, Sam considered most of them superheroes.
”Found normal wasn’t for me either.” he said honestly any chance he found himself drifting that way something happened and reminded him he was needed here more than anywhere else. He chewed on his bacon and a bite of an egg.
”A can do attitude and some patience.” he said smirking, ”How about we just get you settled in first before you go signing up for anything.” he smirked taking another bite, ”I can set it up if you want, might need to get permission from your grandparents though. We do get into some dangerous situations.” he said taking another bite.
”First goal?” he nodded to the sink where the pan was, ”You get to make breakfast for some of the kids tomorrow, no burning the eggs.” he chuckled. ”After that you can meet me in the danger room to get a better idea of what you can do. We can come up with more goals after that.” Sam inhaled the rest of his food.
”Ready to see your room?” he asked placing the plates in the washer before brushing his hands together.
>>”How about we just get you settled in first before you go signing up for anything.” he smirked taking another bite, ”I can set it up if you want, might need to get permission from your grandparents though. We do get into some dangerous situations.”
“Dangerous? Yess!” Zizi yelped in a little surge of excitement, before she calmed herself down. She didn’t want to seem overzealous, but she had dreamed of using her skills outside of sparring matches and competitions. What other martial artist didn’t? She’d already broken a few bones and pain was not something she shied away from.
Thinking of her grandparents, her Ima would probably say no, but Apa would definitely be easier to sway. Once she had Apa on board, Ima would probably be alright with it. Thankfully she didn’t have to really say anything to her parents. Her Papa would definitely say no and her Mama might have a heart attack before Ima would.
Then Sam started talking about goals, and her mind began to wander. Was he going to have her study new techniques? Read up on all the mutants they had in the Mansion? How about watching videos of previous missions? When Sam mentioned making breakfast for the kids, Zizi slumped over on the countertop.
“Breakfast for the kids?”Zizi piped up, blushing a little at remembering her blunder. It was a way to meet her new mansionmates. “Aight. No problem.” She finally said, after a moment of silence. Then he mentioned the danger room and Zizi got really excited again.
Danger… The thought reverberated in her mind. Other girls her age would probably shirk at the thought, but Zizi wanted to show her stuff.
>>”Ready to see your room?” Sam asked, taking Zizi out of her daydream.
“Heck yeah. Let’s go!” Zizi rushed over to pick up her suitcase, her belly full of bacon and her heart full of hope.

The icemancer smirked at her response to danger. ‘Great... a other one...’ enough kids thought they danger or excitement from the daily activities of the X-Men but he had seen a few of them loose their excitement quickly and leave. Sam just wanted everyone happy or the chance to be happy so if this was what she wanted Sam was happy to set it up.
Sam saw the slump and laughed at her response, ”Not the goals you have in mind?” it was a rhetorical question so he kept talking after he waved her on to follow him again, ”There is training opportunities in the everyday. Just got to find them. None of the kids like the food the same way so you’ll have to think about adjust your power for it. Control is key, from cooking eggs to putting out apartment fires.”
The icemancer laughed again at her enthusiasm, ”Love the energy!” A few other kids ran passed saw Sam and stopped running until they were out of sight from him. When they were out of eyesight they took off again and Sam shook his head.
”Got a boys hall, girls hall and then the co-ed hall for the older students and faculty that live here. Right now we are putting you in the girls hall. Can change that later if you want. You also have the option of getting a roommate if you want one at a later date.” he said as he found the stairs and worked his way up taking two steps at a time.
”You’ll have one of the larger rooms in the girls hallway, got it’s own bathroom, a closet and a T.V. anything else you need come and find me or another one of the staff members and we can work something out.” he said entering the hallway. Sam fumbled in his pocket for a set of keys and then offered them up to ZiZi. ”This is it.” he gestured to her door and looked to his clip board.
”The place will take some time getting used to, it’s big and there are thousands of rooms. Suggest taking some time getting acquainted with your room before you go off exploring. Easy to get lost, if that does happen just ask anyone here....” he paused, ”Unless you run into an Irish kid with wings and a tail. Try not to ask him. He... plays pranks.” Sam said giving the disclaimer about Carrick.
”Got any other questions for me? I can fill out the rest later or just have you take care of it.” he said shrugging.

Spero
As soon as Sam brought Zizi up to her room, she gasped at the interior. It was twice the size of her room at home and it had its own bathroom! She spun around, admiring the space, feeling the warm air. Then she plopped down on the bed, backwards, facing the ceiling. The thought of meeting her hallmates, teachers, and exploring her new life at the mansion suddenly made her really tired. All the emotions she had kept suppressed in order to remain chill as she spoke to Sam all arose in her. The itis from eating all that breakfast food also started to affect her senses, making her more sleepy.
>>”Got any other questions for me? I can fill out the rest later or just have you take care of it.”
She sat back up on her bed and spoke to Sam.
"If you leave it on the table, I can do it. I guess." She said, suddenly feeling homesick. She hadn't filled out paperwork on her own before.
"I'll bring it down to your office later. I think I can figure out how to get there again. I might just stay here for a bit though." She yawned and brought her hands above her head. It was barely noon, but on top of the plane ride, the conversation and the new environment, she just felt tired.
"Thanks for everything, Sam." Her face showed a gratitude that she couldn't really put into words. He was a cool guy, and she looked forward to learning more from him. For now, maybe a little alone time was best.
