CharacterPersonality:Zizi tends to be more reserved when one first meets her, seeking to observe situations before rushing into them. She opens up rather quickly, however, and expresses her warmth through sass. Those who know her are drawn to her reliability and loyalty.
Zizi has a fiery fighting spirit and is competitive as well, adopting this trait from her two older brothers. She will not back down from a good fight and will seek multiple ways of attacking a situation before backing down, both in real fights and regular challenging situations.
Zizi is hardworking and bright, taking pride in her daily practice and dedication to personal fitness. She has little patience for more abstract topics of conversation, tending to put practical knowledge on a higher pedestal than idealism. She can grow quite head-strong and be difficult to stop when she sets her mind on something.
She has a strong sense for justice, and will not hesitate to stand up for someone who is in trouble or expresses helplessness. Conversely, she herself hesitates to ask for help and tries to do things on her own.

MutationsMutation description: Somatic Thermoregulation
The user’s cells are super-thermal conductors and the user is able to manipulate the flow of heat throughout the user’s body and immediate surroundings. Heat is absorbed or expelled via the user’s skin, allowing the user the ability to act as a living thermoconductor. For example, if the user absorbs heat from the surrounding air, the air grows colder while the user’s body grows hotter. Conversely, the user is able to heat that which her skin comes in contact with by expelling heat the user has stored.
Strengths:Zizi’s body is naturally ‘cold-blooded’, meaning her internal body temperature matches that of her external environment. Her body is accustomed to changes in temperature and is able to function at a wider range of temperature than regular humans.
When she focuses, Zizi can absorb or expel heat into whatever comes in contact with her skin. Once heat is within her own body, she is able to manipulate the transfer of heat freely. Thus, she can concentrate the heat in her body to specific body parts or disperse it evenly throughout. When unconscious, her body naturally disperses the heat throughout the body in such a way that protects her vitals. Her cells are also resistant to damage as a result of temperature changes (i.e. burns and frostbite) within her limitations.
Additionally, the higher her temperature, the faster, lighter she is. At her highest limit, she becomes half-her weight. The lower her temperature, the slower but more durable she is. At her lowest limit, she becomes twice as heavy and her skin as durable as rubber.
Her mutation has also tampered with her vision, giving her the ability to read heat signatures within her line of sight.
Weaknesses and Limitations:Zizi can no longer create her own heat via her body’s metabolism and her body temperature is at the mercy of her external environment. Thus, maintaining an internal body temperature other than the external temperature, requires energy and focus. Zizi tends not to store excess heat for long periods of time, and if she were to cool herself, it would require her to actively expel heat. Overexertion leads to fatigue.
Her heat absorption is tied with her breathing. With every inhale, she can focus and absorb at most 50 degrees. With every exhale, 50 degrees. Furthermore, the current rate at which her internal temperature increases is equal to the temperature she absorbs and the mass of the object. (i.e. she absorbs 10 degrees from her mug and her whole body increases by 10 degrees) When expelling heat, the rate at which the object increases heat is dependent on its chemical properties.
Zizi’s body can continue to function within a wider-temperature range than the average human, but even her body has limits. If she stores too much heat (past 3500°F), her cells will begin to melt and if she reaches below her freezing point (-350°F), her cells will grow brittle and she loses mobility.
Zizi’s mental and emotional states can be easily affected by her internal body temperature if she isn’t paying attention. Zizi’s comfort zone is between -50 and 200 degrees Fahrenheit. To maintain a temperature outside these for prolonged periods of time messes with her metabolism.
She no longer has the ability to see the world as one would through the visible light spectrum.
Physical AbilitiesGeneral Physical Capabilities: Zizi has been a gymnast and martial artist almost her whole life, thus she has above average strength, speed, reflexes, stamina and flexibility. She is most adept in speed, reflexes and flexibility.
Fighting Style: She has learned Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu which trains the body in leaping, tumbling, breaking falls and body conditioning. Taijustu contains skills such as;
koppo jutsu the "way of attacking and/or using the skeletal structure";
koshi jutsu the way of attacking muscles and weak points on the body;
jutai jutsu the "relaxed body method" which includes throwing, grappling and choking techniques; and
dakentai jutsu which emphasises strikes, kicks and blocks In conjunction with her mutation, she stores the heat generated by her movement and utilizes them in battle. She also, once she has her opponent in grasp, will either suck the heat out of them or heat them up.
Fighting Style Pros/Cons: She has high maneuverability and can fight for a while, but has a low power output. She relies on immobilizing her opponent to win fights.
History Of Your CharacterOn June 3, 2005, A’Ziala Jordan was born in Wahiawā General Hospital in Oahu, Hawaii on a business trip her parents and older brothers went on. This was the pattern for A’Ziala’s parents, always traveling. When A’Ziala, nicknamed Zizi was three, they moved back to San Francisco.
In San Francisco, A’Ziala and her two older, twin brothers Deion and Jamar, were practically raised by her maternal grandparents Jeanna and Maurice. She went to school at Miraloma Elementary and lived a rather steady young life, despite her parents being around occasionally.
Her grandma enrolled one of her older brothers in gymnastics because she was in charge of a gymnastics center, and their grandpa enrolled her other brother in Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu because he too was a master in that martial arts. When her grandparents asked her what she wanted to do, Zizi wanted to learn both.
Zizi’s main motivation in school was to do her best for her grandparents, and to do better than her brothers. Her main friend groups came with her associations at gymnastics and martial art events.
She went to public school for a while, but her mutation showed up at the beginning of freshman year of highschool, when someone started a fire in the girl’s bathroom (smoking in the trashcan) and Zizi helped put it out. Suddenly, Zizi’s life changed and not knowing how to utilize her new mutation, began to stay home and ignore her life.
One of grandpa’s students had a student whose brother went to this mansion all the way out in New York. It didn’t take much to convince her parents to move to at least check the mansion out. Her grandparents were entirely supportive. She feels as if there must be some reason why this happened to her, and now she wants to find out why.

Upon seeing her, she was covered in shades of yellow and orange. She fought back tears and the thought that she’d never see her grandma the same way again. She ran and clasped her arms around her waist.
“Zizi? What’s wrong, honey child? You better let go and tell me what’s wrong ‘fore I spill this cup o’ Joe.” She was puzzled, but concerned for her granddaughter. It wasn’t like Zizi to act like this.
“Ima, there’s something wrong with me.” Zizi squeezed her grandma tighter before she let go and sat herself down at the table. Tears streamed down her cheeks now, as she kept blinking and her grandma still looked like a yellow-orange martian. The mug in her grandma’s hand was a brighter yellow, and it was like she could see through the ceramic as well. The bright yellow was almost like a flame, and Zizi felt a strange attraction to it.
“What’s you got, a fever?” Her grandma placed the back of her hand on Zizi’s forehead and muttered to herself. “No fever, but you’re as cold as the countertop. How are you not shivering, my dear? Let me make you some hot chocolate.”
Her grandma stood to make her some chocolate, and Zizi got off her chair to clas her arms around her grandma’s waist again. Scared. “I don’t know what it is, Ima.” Though the cold didn’t bother her, grandma felt so warm and Zizi wanted to feel warm again.
“Zizi, I can’t do nothing with you on me. A hey? Did you leave the window open?” She turned to face the kitchen window, but upon seeing it shut tight, grew confused.
“Honey, did you feel that sudden chill?”
Zizi watched as the oranges from inside grandma became slightly dimmer and the purples in her own arms grew slightly warmer. It was strange, seeing the change in heat and feeling it too. Then she remembered how earlier in the morning, she had made the fire sink in the bathroom trashbin.
Zizi let go of her grandma fast and sat back in her seat, watching the glow of warmth emanate from her hands. She looked at the mug of coffee on the table and tried to focus on doing what she’d just done to her grandma, but on purpose.
The mug started off as a yellow and turned into a light orange, as her hands started as orange and did the opposite, turning bright yellow. The steam above the mug began to disappear too.
Maybe I can do it backwards too? Zizi put her hands back on the mug and concentrated on moving the yellow in her forearm to the mug. The steam returned. Zizi gasped in silent awe. Maybe this new change in her wasn’t so bad afterall.
