MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. "See? You've got the knowledge." Pippa smirked. She was not sure if the liver joke was about drinking or tuition, but it worked either way. They moved on to talking about her job for a change.

"I hope so" she sighed. Sabine did admit SUPER had a problem, and if a ship stuffed with explosives was any indication, she was probably right. Baby steps.

"It's... part that, and part professional loyalty" she tried to explain, but it was hard without giving any deeper details. "I originally have a workplace I really like. Civil rights, mutant rights, equality, social responsibility, the works. But now I'm on loan to another place that... is trying to grow into something less racist. That's what we in the biz call problematic." she smirked "I wanna see it through, because of the bigger picture."

He felt that he half understood the job thing, but without specifics it was hard to shake the feeling that Pippa wasn't just getting taken advantage of. Like, clearly she was too nice. He was still here, afterall.
"Well, it doesn't sound like you need a white knight. If you change you mind, I'm obviously real good at making a spectacle of myself for no real reason at all and I do kind of owe you for taking such good care of me." He gestured to his ankle, which was blissfully no longer throbbing. He was taking proper care of it was almost certain that he'd be okay. Which was good with his upcoming schedule.
"I should get your number so I can drop off a check for the greenhouse, too." Definitely the only reason he was asking.

Pippa hoped she was going in the right direction with her job. She also hoped that it was not too weird to talk about it with some guy who crashed through the glass roof and was not recovering on her carpet. AJ seemed like a good guy. And it had been a while since she had just hung out with someone.

"You're welcome" she smiled. She had not done much, really. "The next time someone tries to kidnap me, you'll be the first one to know."
After Sabine, who was more than likely to be kidnapped right along with her. Besides, who didn't want a dashing paramedic riding to her rescue? Once he could walk again, obviously.
