The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Its not a felony if you don't get caught! (Cs/Mati/L/Mirror)
Juniper crossed her arms in a big ole X and shook her head as adamantly as she dared. "Nope, no dancing. I don't do dancing. Two left feet and all."
Dancing was literally only allowed when she was really, really drunk, or with her fat lazy house cat. Also, a dance required a dress, didn't it? Dresses were also a big heavy N.O.
"I'll take tacos or Yakisoba as replacements, though."
She followed what the princess was doing by peering out one of the windows to spy the island, and caught a case of the excited giggles. Having never been anywhere with this much ocean before, let along those kinda beaches, she was more than a little excited.
This was literally what upscale wealthy families did once or twice every year, right? Go visit a pretty place so they would brag about it later?
Huh. If she hopped out of the jet right now what would happen? She knew that her power didn't change her a whole lot when it came to falling, but once she hit the water what would happen?
Eh, she wasn't drunk enough to really ponder that in a serious manner yet. Maybe if she went for a second beer.
"I don't care if it's cliche, I'm totally gonna buy a Ukelele."
Then she could learn like, Riptide and Can't help falling in love, and fill out another slot on her own Hipster Bingo card.
Cora had a different vantage point as the island approached, and was rather pleased to be up front for this. The wide bay of the cockpit did make it more exciting. As awkward as it had been to get here, at least once they reached the island they could relax and maybe she could escape this awkward feeling of all the third and fourth or whatever you call them wheels. Or was she the extra wheel?
"You can find a dress but it seems like we would have an easier time getting you to wear it than me," Cora smirked at him, then returned to the controls as they finished their landing. The weather was perfect for this at least. She would enjoy a good swim later and let all the stress just go away.
Gasp! She hadn't lost! Her face took on a victorious smirk coupled with a head leaned back so that she could look down at the man she'd beat, even though he was taller than her. The tiny smile was wiped from her face when she had to climb over a chair to get a good look at the Island they were approaching.
She'd never left CONUS before, so it was sort of magical in a way. She gave a grumpy look back at Sam as he made the wizard remark. "Please. Ain't a wizard around that can give me anything I can't get with tenacity and BDE and I've got plenty of both." I mean... anything other than ever having a chance at a love life.
L raised an eyebrow at the princesses wizard comment. Jesus. "Oh, sweety, trust me, you don't want to know the kinds of wizards America has." She had a lot to learn, but bless her, she seemed sweet enough.
A snort came out of L's nose at Juniper's protest at the idea of dancing. She even rolled her eyes when she mentioned buying a Ukulele. "#@$^, you're right, we should also stop for a Pumpkin spice late while we are down there! Or... OR... We could do something neat. Chipn'dale! What's on the menu for funsies? Also, if I got you cuffs and a banana hammock would you wear them, and only them?" And the oil. They would need oil.

Sam didn’t understand the acronym the kid through out but wasn’t sure if he should ask. Maybe he’d ask Juniper or Cora. He was almost positive the princess didn’t understand it. She’s never had a burger.
Chuckling at both the ladies reaction and the rest of the kid’s comments he quickly added ”I’m sure the wizard is nice, just watch out for the flames. Good thing I’m here.” The jet touched down on a sizable chunk of beachfront and Sam added, ”Didn’t say I enjoyed wearing it.” Sam said with a smirk. Story for another time. ”And that’s a very detailed request. I don’t think I’ll be drinking enough for that, someone has to fly us back.” Sam said uncomfortably due to the company and the person who requested it.
The recently de-aged icemancer flipped a few switches turning off the engine and opened the ramp. The smell of the ocean quickly filled the cockpit. Sam unbuckled and turned off the ‘seatbelt’ light. ”Ladies, thanks for flying Air-X where we specialize in last minute flights.” he then smirked as he stood holding a beer that just cracked opened.
”Make sure you give your comments, questions and concerns to Juniper. Because there is a good chance the piolit doesn’t want to hear it.” he raised his drink and took a long sip, ”Because he has some catching up to do.”
Looking back at the kid he shrugged, ”Whatever you ladies want to do. My plans were only to beach but we are pretty close to some small towns, nature preserves and fishing and snorkeling is pretty good here. Burgers and dresses.” he smirked to the group.
”Ah and some terrific sunsets.” Sam said with a thumbs up, ”I’m up for almost anything.” Sam then added, ”I mean whatever the group is interested in.” Sam grabbed another drink and his suit. ”After the beach of course! Aloha!”
>>"Please. Ain't a wizard around that can give me anything I can't get with tenacity and BDE and I've got plenty of both. Oh, sweety, trust me, you don't want to know the kinds of wizards America has."
So, America had wizards. Good to know. Sounded like an unsavory lot, but at least Amethyst was familiar with the concept of people wielding magic from stories. She could not say the same about all the other random jumble of words they were talking about, like ukulele or pumpkin spice latte or banana hammock. This place seemed exotic enough, in a way that looked similar to Atlantis, but the vocabulary was whole new for the princess' somewhat alcohol-soaked brain.
>>”Ladies, thanks for flying Air-X where we specialize in last minute flights. Make sure you give your comments, questions and concerns to Juniper. Because there is a good chance the piolit doesn’t want to hear it. Because he has some catching up to do.”
They touched down, and got out of their seats. Amethyst followed suit, inhaling the scent of salt water and greenery and sunshine. It felt like home, but not quite. It definitely smelled better than New York City, though.

Ah and some terrific sunsets. I’m up for almost anything. I mean whatever the group is interested in. After the beach of course! Aloha!”
"What's snorkeling?" she wondered as they all made their way out of the jet and onto the beach. The sand was pure and warm, and so far no locals seemed to have noticed that a plane landed on it yet. Amethyst breathed in again and smiled, walking down to the water. She undid the clasps on her dress and dropped the whole thing on the sand. If the others had not gotten a memo about the lac of swim suits in Atlantean culture, they sure did now...
Juniper wandered down into the sand with the rest of them, a new beer in her hand and her sunglasses propped up on her nose. L made some smarmy comment about pumpkin spice and she rolled with it. "What, they have those here this time of the year? I'd be down." Heck yes she loves her terribly cliche white girl drinks. Just needed some uggs and a flannel shirt and the look would be complete.
Once standing out near the actual sand, she found she didn't quite know what to do yet. Swim? Runoff into the treeline and vanish for a few hours? Find a volcano and get as close as she could to it?
The Princess apparently had ideas and disrobed completely. Juniper's glasses slipped right off her damn face and yes she was absolutely staring. She'd be crazy not to!
"This is the best day ever."
Swiming it was! She pushed her drink into the sand, kicked off her sandals and ditched her sunglasses next to them, and then made a break for the water in a slighty drunk sprint. She was gonna find the biggest freakin' shell she could! Maybe keep it, or, or...
Oh lord, she was going to need to go into town and buy X some authentic funny hawaiian shirts. Dirty ones, maybe, if they had them.
Cora tried to tune out the conversations the best that she could. The specific request for Sam to wear a banana hammock and a cuffs had her both confused and amused, and also made it hard to ignore what was going on. She Let her attention focus on the scenery, and then she relaxed as the breeze entered the plane.
Task one? Have fun. Try to ignore Sam's strange relationships with the other women, and maybe get a tan... While the other's ran for the beach, Cora took a second to shed shorts and shirt, revealing her bikini already set to go. The Atlantean had apparently been raised in a land where there were no swimsuits, and while she could appreciate a uh, attractive woman, Cora was more focused on seeing where Sam's focus was.
She wasn't jealous, right? Nope. But she still went toward the water, reaching out for one of Juniper's threads as she did. "Admiring the view?" she laughed, noting the coral color. She saved Juniper the awkwardness of letting the thread connect to it's target, Amethyst, but both of them would know what Cora meant.
Finally they landed! It was time to get this party started! L grabbed up her alligator floatie and started shuffling down he ramp, her smaller legs putting her behind much of the group as they neared the water.
Ohhhh, it was nice out here! She couldn't burn, either, so the sun was especially nice knowing it would give her no negative drawbacks. The princess went on ahead as Sam listed the local entertainment options.
Andddd, as soon as the question came up about snorkeling, the good lady dropped trow in public. Oh boy. I mean, wow, but also, no.
"OOOKAY, as the only adult here, I'm gonna hafta put at stop to this!" L marched on up to the princess and reached for an arm to drag her off into the bushes. "It's against the law to be nude in public, and while you are... absolutely flawless, Like... dang. No, nope, We're gonna dig into the collection and find you something to wear."
A surprising amount of skimpy swimwear could fit into her little hand bag, and while some of it was decidedly L sized, some would fit universally. The young woman would end up with several options.
Moments later, L would wander from the bushes, patting her hands together. "Alright, it's not perfect, but at least it's not a T shirt and swim trunks." She eyed Juniper as if her choice in fashion were a crime. Her eyes drifted to Cora as well, and she grinned. Not bad at all. It was impossible to miss her staring at Ice Chipn'dale, though. She didn't need threads to see what was going on there.

”What view?” Sam asked back before realizing the princess was naked. He was busy looking at the waves now, his thermal sense however might have painted a pretty detailed picture of her being naked. If Cora was baiting him for a trap Sam didn’t fall for it there was enough views that were breathtaking and he wasn’t dumb enough to get caught with his jaw dropped.
The kid seemed to take responsibility for the princess, which was good. The last thing he needed was to explain to the princess why she needed to put clothes on. Normally their conversations were how they should be taken off. ”Actually yeah.” Sam said flipping the script on Cora. ”Should have asked you to go swimming awhile ago.” he smirked and gave her a wink.
Sam walked a few feet from the jet and formed a box of ice and walked in closing the door behind him. He had to change still and didn’t want any extra third degree from Cora. He was trying to get out of trouble not get further into it. While he wasn’t the most modest person he thought it be best to frost the walls so no one could see him change.
Once he was fully changed the box of ice collapsed into snow and he started to saunter over to the water giving Cora a thumbs up.
