MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

Welcome Mara! While I don’t have any Haven characters (someone else may have a more qualified candidate to get Mara to the right place), if you want to get rolling you can always either start or respond to an open thread! Sometimes just letting your character hang out in the city is a great way to get a foot in the door, even if that initial thread doesn’t cement them down the road to a faction. (All my characters are Factionless currently, so sometimes they never settle down!)
Noel is in Haven, but probably moving away from it. I don't feel that she'd be actively recruiting.
My character Jude helps with Haven's security. He's not in Haven himself, but he would certainly be able to peg someone who might belong there and wouldn't minding dropping them off.
I promise we don't bite in the discord and we do our best plotting there!
Howdy! My character Ranger is in Haven, but like Noel is moving away from it. He'll still be over security at Haven, but much less likely to steer people to them.
That said, being unaffiliated isn't a bad way to go. Ranger was not officially affiliated with a faction for... 8 years I think. I also have another character who is leaving the Syndicate. Once that happens I'll have two unaffiliated characters.
Here's my three characters, if one sounds like someone you'd like to RP with let me know:
Ranger is a former Delta Force operator who runs a Private Military Company that is contracted to provide security services for Haven. He's basically a tactical operations rodeo clown. Boots, plaid, and Texas flags. He has recently been deaged in the deaging plot we just kicked off and is 24 again. His power is, in the most simple way I can explain, his body changes in response to what is needed to handle threats. Makes him stronger, faster, more dexterous, night vision, and increased defenses to physical attacks (blades, bullets, pressure, heat, cold, and electricity).
Ion was a corporate and criminal defense attorney who was the counselor in the Syndicate but everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked he has been deaged to 16 and has found his way to the mansion. He's a zappy boi. Generates electricity and becomes a light show as he gives of St. Elmo's fire.
Rhiannon Curtis is my new character. Just got her approved last night! 18 year old student at NYU. Has a powerlifting scholarship. Her power allows her to swap bodies. She can swap herself with someone else as well as swap to other people with each other.
And for sure check out the Discord. We sometimes will use the site board for plotting, but more often the plotting boards on Discord get the love.
