The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ty stopped right outside the mansion. This was it, apparently. This place was chock full of mutant kids with powers they needed help controlling, right? So maybe someone here could help him with his. He hoped, anyway. While Doc had been...enlightening...it didn't really do anything except pose more questions and leave him with even more trauma than he'd had before.
He tightened his black, studded fingerless gloves and stuffed his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket; he had to admit his 'alternate and/or older self' had good taste in clothing. This jacket was decorated with studs and chains, and went well with the black jeans and tennis shoes he usually wore. His icy blue eyes studied the mansion as he walked up to the door, his shaggy ginger hair blowing in the breeze.
He took a deep breath, masking his slight nervousness. He didn't know why, but this place gave him a weird feeling, like a mixture of deja vu and 'I'm not supposed to be here.' Oh well. Here goes nothing.
A gloved hand reached out, pulling open the door and stepping inside, keeping his head down as he looked for....someone. Hell, he didn't know who he was looking for, how to find someone he could help, or even what he'd do when he'd got here. He hadn't planned any farther than getting on the grounds.
She had an armful of books and was on her break between classes. She'd stopped off in the kitchen to grab a smack, since the good doctor had helped her figure out what her internal problems were from. Turns out she needed to eat meat. A lot of it, and exclusively raw. As... wonderful as that news had been, she was rather happy with a full stomach and no pain. Even if it was a little slimy and bloody.
"You think i'll do good on that test?" She seemingly asked no one in particular. A small spider on her shoulder answered her, though she was the only one who could hear it. "Huh, yeah... I guess I shouldn't worry."
She has settled in surprisingly quickly and had quite a few of the staff members and teachers to thank for it. It was actually nice... All of her problems seemed to have settled for the moment, and she didn't even care a whole lot that she hadn't fully worked out who her older self had been.
She paused after she had stepped foot into the entry way on her way past, spying a new face standing in the doorway. "Oh, hello." Sure, she hadn't seen everyone yet at the school, but she could recognize quite a few of the faces from her classes of other kids in her age group. This one she had never seen before.
She paused there, books clutched to the front of her black baby doll dress. There was a delicate black lace edging the bottom of the skirt. She had chosen the same sweater she had met Aggie in, since it brought up pleasant memories for her. Black stockings covered her pale legs and her feet were tucked away in little black booties with skull buckles. For once her hair was down down, with simple clips holding some of it back from her face.
"Are you new?" She knew that it was often advised to help new arrivals to the office, or to proper teachers who could get things started.

His eyes scanned the room, there were a few people bumbling about, but no adults. He was clueless all damn ready, and he was wondering if this was really that great of an idea. But before he could turn tail and run like he wanted to, he was face to face with a girl. The black dress and all was a good look for her, if he was being honest.
"Oh, uh....hi," he said, flashing her that charming Southern smile, though with a little less confidence and maybe less effect since he was only sixteen, but he tried.
"Are you new?"
"Uhm...yes and no," he said. "I've never been here before, but I'm not here to stay. I'm just looking for someone who can help me. My powers have been acting....weird...lately." Actually he couldn't even remember when his powers surfaced. He just woke up a few weeks ago and it all seemed like second nature. At least for a little while, anyway.
"I'm Ty. And that is a good look for you, I like it," he said politely, extending a gloved hand.
Ah, someone who needed help with powers. She could empathize with that seeing as she was still feeling hers out herself.
"Well, I can't say you ended up at the wrong place. There are a lot of people here who might be able to help with that."
She glanced at his offered hand for a fraction of a second before accepting it. They fit together nicely and she was overcome with a bewildering sense of Déjà vu. Had... had she met this boy before somewhere? He for sure wasn't the guy she tased in the park so. where? Her expression pinched slightly while she tried to figure that out.
"Thanks, I'm Megan."
Though the contact wasn't long, she was wearing a little black tinted metal ring that she had woken up with on. Unknown to her, that ring had seen much blood shed. Bloody and broken noses, teeth knocked clean from mouths, broken jaws.
Megan let her hand clutch back around her books, trying to shake the feeling she had met the boy before as she slapped a smile on.
"I can show you to Doc's office if you like? He might be able to help, possibly... if not, maybe one of the teachers." She pondered on it.

He nodded, smiling softly. "That's what I've heard, and I'm hoping so. I'm...having a weird time of it, as of late," he admitted, smile turning into more of a wince towards the end. Once again, he felt a feeling of deja vu. He'd never seen this young woman before, but something about her seemed to click. Like they'd spent some amount of time together. Yet...he wasn't sure. Maybe he saw her in his visions or something, but that was getting weird; seeing memories that seemed like your own but not actually remembering them. It was easier to think her power was broken.
The handshake was brief, but enough as his finger brushed her ring on the contact. For a about a minute, he just stood there, holding onto her hand, a blank expression taking over as his mind was assaulted by memories. Some mundane, normal days, others full of bloodshed. All featuring someone that looked like an older version of her. That was becoming a weird trend.
There was a brief flash of a bar, and the guy that he was starting to think was an alternate version of him or something. They talked. Got into a fight together. Almost got killed by a monster. Shared a kiss...And then it was overtaken as the timeline went on and on. There were a lot of appearances by that roach that he spent a lot of time with, apparently. And...then she killed him. Then a weird scene of her getting injected with something...But just like that, it was over.
When the vision ended, he pulled back his hand, rather hurriedly as his face turned pale and he leaned against the wall, holding his head with a gloved hand. "Okay, that was weird as ****. I can see the past of objects....that ring. It's seen some stuff. There was an older you...a giant roach...lots of blood...and me. Well, an older me," he breathed.
"If you're referring to roach-Doc, I've seen him already. Got more questions than answers. But I have even more of those right now. Do you remember anything about being older? Hanging around a giant roach that wasn't Doc? Killing said roach?" He bit his lip. "Of kissing me?" Because according to my visions--which to my knowledge aren't wrong, all that happened. And I don't know what to make of any of this.
"I know I sound crazy, but...I can prove it to you."
He was acting funny. The handshake led to an awkward expression and the distinct lack of blood in his face like he had seen something awful. She turned a little to peek behind her. A few very normal looking students scuttled past on the way to class. Nothing terrifying in sight. Then she lifted a hand to check her hair and see if any spiders had fallen out. Nope! Safe and tucked away.
He started to explain and her gaze dropped to the little pointy cat ear ring on her middle finger, before her eyes went wide and snapped back to his face.
"An older me...?"
The @#$%?
A roach? Blood? And older him? What the ever loving hell was this kid talking about? Megan scoured her memories for a moment with her brow furrowed. She could recall none of those things. Agnes was the only person she had last seen a cockroach around. She listened to him as he rambled on, blushed furiously when he mentioned her kissing him, and maybe scooched back a little bit just to feel a little more comfortable. The only reason she hadn't run away at that point was because he had mentioned an older her, and that had certainly caught her attention.
"...Um... No, I wasn't reffering to.. a Roach doctor? I was talking about Doc Prof. He's the resident doctor here, and teaches health class..." She eyeballed Ty a little longer, as if measuring whether he was going to be a problem or not.
"And.. no, I don't remember anything like that, I... I don't think i've ever killed anyone, or-" She sputtered a bit. She didn't know if she could repeat what he had said about kissing without tripping all over herself. She didn't even know this guy! "How do you know about me being older at some point?"
She decided to skip it entirely. The other bits of information were much more important. "I've been here a few weeks after waking up in the city. I've lost quite a few years apparently, but.."
Christ, she hadn't been planning on diving back into this chaotic mess first thing in the morning. She had a test today!
"How... How exactly can you show me?" She was certainly eyeballing him with suspicion now, thumb playing with that ring on her finger while she frowned and squinted at him.

"I know, it sounds crazy. But hear me out. My power is...weird. I can touch things, and I'll see the entire life story of that thing in under a minute. It's not pleasant, but it can prove useful. Except recently. I woke up on a park bench, memory of how I got there a blank. I get these weird feelings of deja vu, found a place to stay only to find I was already on file there. 'My' room," complete with airquotes, "Was already packed with ****. Looked like a storage unit. Naturally, I cleaned it, and used my power to check it out. That's when I started seeing things like...well, like giant roaches and people I don't know. Then I keep meeting what looks like younger versions of people in my visions and I swear to God there's something weird going on here." He paused, taking a breath. He sounded like a freaking conspiracy theorist and he was sure she thought he was crazy.
She took a step back, and he didn't blame her. "It's another part of my power. I can...write...mental images onto objects. They're in color if they're memories, black and white didn't happen. I can...show you. It'll only take a minute. Won't necessarily help you believe me but...hey. Like I said I came here looking for help, and gods know I need it. Even for what I can do, this isn't normal..." His voice squeaked a little and his icy blue eyes were almost pleading as he took his glove off and held it in his bare hand, concentrating on it. His eyes glowed red as he implemented a few scenes onto it.
Him working for Roach, an image of her and roach, the scene of their little adventure together at the bar, and just to end it on a not weird note, two of the more mundane memories from her ring. One with older her, one younger.
When he finished, he offered the glove to her. "You don't have to do this if you don't wanna. Hell, I wouldn't blame you if you kicked me in the balls and walked away right now. But...this'll show ya I'm telling the truth. Or what I believe is the truth. I don't know my powers were confusing before this ****. Anyway...if you do touch it...you'll want an aspirin afterwards."
He gave her an apologetic look, his free hand brushing his shaggy red hair out of his face, all the while bracing himself just in case.
The logical part of her brain was screaming at her to book it the hell out of there before the crazy boy stabbed her or something, but... the quietly, confused part of her brain that was still dealing with what she, and lenna, had only very recently dealt with was whispering for her to take that glove and try to find the truth in his words.
Wasn't this how fairies or demons tricked people? @#$%in show up on doorsteps with spun tales to try and get you to follow them into the woods?
@#$%.
Wary icy eyes stared down that glove in his hand like touching it would ultimately set her on fire or something equally as bad.
But... no matter what he was rambling about on his end of things, he had also promised to show her bits of herself she had forgotten. Lost puzzle pieces she needed to complete the picture. Did she really want to know...?
He said she had.. had killed someone. Forget kissing, killing was a bit more important Megan!
A bead of sweat rolled down the back of her neck. She had been staring at his stupid glove for far too long without speaking. With a gulp, she wordlessly lifted a hand and reached for it.
The second her fingers touched the fabric of the glove, her mind was assaulted with visions she had forgotten... An older looking version of Ty with a very tall, imposing figure that was indeed a cockroach in appearance. The full body figure of the woman who's face was on her ID, also with that same roach... They seemed friendly with one another. She was smiling. It's expression was unreadable. The next scene was longer; a fight in a bar. She was bleeding from several places and had a manic, joyous look in her eyes and a knife in her hands. Older Ty was there as well. They fought together, escaped together. Flashes of a ride on a motorcycle with something large chasing after. Celebrations. The kiss; She grabbed him by the shoulders and jerked him in, mashing lips together and seemingly catching him by surprise.
Everything wound down with memories of her moving into her new room at the mansion, and walking side by side with Agnes; their shoulders touching.
She jerked her hand back with a loud gasp, swaying on her feet slightly as she stumbled and caught herself. Her brain was in panic mode over the slew of new information, scrambling to sort and process as fast as possible.
He hadn't lied.... What he was saying, at least in the moment, was the truth.
She wasn't aware of when exactly it happened, but at some point she had started to hyperventilate. The spider mutant started to sway as her eyes rolled back and she passed the hell out.

Ty's stomach lurched a bit from the use of his power but he managed to keep it under control. But Megan was just...standing there, even after she jerked her hand back. She was breathing funny, and she didn't look too--whoashit she was about to faint. He had quickly put his glove back on and he quickly wrapped his arms around her to attempt to catch her.
Instead it just looked like a really awkward hug. "Shitshitshitshitshit...." he muttered under his breath, awkwardly maneuvering her limp form to a nearby couch and laying her there the best he could. He took a deep breath, hoping no one would say anything, but this looked bad...he hadn't meant to knock her ass out! "****...."
Once she was situated...somewhat comfortably, he fumbled around, panicked and looking for the kitchen, which he finally found, grabbing a handful of paper towels and folding them before running it under some cool water and squeezed them dry. Then, he made his way back to Megan, kneeling next to her and gently putting the cold compress on her forehead. That was how you helped fainting, right? He didn't know, but he was trying to help.
Now he knew this looked weird, and possibly very not good, but he was going to stay with Megan until she woke up: It was the least he could do, since it was his fault. But he was certain she was kicking his ass when she did woke up; not that he'd blame her.
He'd sit next to her as long as he'd need to, except to replace the compress as needed. When she finally did open her eyes and see him there, his only response would be a shaky, awkward, "I didn't know you'd pass out I'm sorry..."
Those same memories played on repeat in her head, unbidden. By the time her lids fluttered and she woke, it felt as if every inch of that giant big was seared into her mind.
Why had it felt so familiar...?
She blinked at the ceiling a few times, before her eyes slid over to Ty. Apparently she had fainted. She reached up wordlessly to pull a damp, slightly warm compress from her forehead. Apparently he had been thoughtful enough not to leave her in the dust after passing out on him.
But! There were more important things on her mind at the moment.
Sitting up quickly caused a few spiders to fall out of her hair, but she ignored the little silent cries of annoyance. "You... I...." Shit, what did she even want to say? She was still processing things. She wasn't exactly sure where to start or how even to help him, since that was why he had come to the school in the first place.
Perhaps it would start with him helping her out some more.
"Come with me." It wasn't a command, but it wasn't a question, either. There was a little bit of desperation in there, behind the brave front she was trying to uphold.
She reached out for his wrist, or hand, whichever. She was going to try and take him to her room, where she could show him the outfit she had woken up in, and all of the assorted things that had been on her person at the time.
This boy... this random boy who had stumbled in out of the blue, might very well be the key to unlocking who she had been before. Perhaps even where she lived? She wasn't sure how much information he could give her, but it was worth a try.
... It certainly couldn't get any worse than murdering a giant bug, could it?
"I have more stuff... from before. Can you show me more?"

"I'm sorry. They don't normally pass out. I think. I don't remember anyone passing out." Okay so the spiders were creepy, but he'd seen worse so he wasn't really phased.
"Come with me."
"Uhm...okay." She grabbed his hand, and he didn't hesitate to follow. She laid out the mission: They were going to use his power and they were going to hopefully get to the bottom of this. "Okay, I can do it a little at a time, otherwise I might pass out, but...I think we can work through it. I touch things, get their memories, and give you the cliffnotes all in one go at the end?"
He raised an eyebrow before removing his gloves. "Alright, hand me what you want me to see. Oh uhm....fair warning...when it comes to clothes...." He blushed, hesitating. "Well uhm....clothes kinda show me everything...Are you okay with that?" He shrugged softly, looking away as the blush deepened.
Her mind was in a million places as she hurried them both to her shared room. Her roommate was probably still in class she they wouldn't look like loons while she tore through her closet in search of the box of things she had woken up wearing.
"That's fine... I just- this is the first clue as to who I was before I got de-aged or whatever. Everyone who knew me before I turned back into who I am now knew me as some notoriously private person who they lost track of at some point. I don't even know where I used to live because the address on my license led to a dead end."
Also, she had apparently been 100% fine with murdering someone. Was she dwelling on that? She was totally dwelling on that.
Then again, not that she didn't believe him at this point, she hadn't seen that memory with her own eyes. Maybe... maybe Ty had misread the situation.... maybe she hadn't actually killed a big Roach.
... did killing a large insect even count as murder, anyway?
Shaking that philosophical debate off, she let them into her room and turned to close the door after him. He laid out a warning of sorts that earned a blush from her, and she debated removing the clothes she had been wearing from the equation. She wasn't sure if she was ready for someone to see all of her, even if it might lead her to more information about herself.
How many memories could a pair of pants have, anyway?
"O-okay...I'll, um... consider that."
Still a bit red in the face, she turned and headed for her closet.
Her room wasn't the most decorated thing ever. Her roommate's side was actually more decorated than hers, seeing as the girl had lived at the school longer. Megan had a nice, slightly gothic bed spread and a few small trinkets she had picked up in town, but hardly any posters or decorations on the walls.
Once she found that box she had been looking for, she headed over to her bed and plopped it down on the velvety comforter. Inside she had the black stretchy pants she had been wearing, the wallet that had been on her person, the metal knuckles she had found in a pocket of the coat she had been wearing, the coat itself; which was fake leather and a dark camo pattern, and some of the assorted jewelry she had presumably been wearing before it had fallen off and into her clothes in various places. There were also other things, but like hell was she letting him touch any of her unmentionables if he could see everything!
"What happened to us, the whole being younger thing? It's happening to a lot of people in this city. Nobody that I have talked to has a solid idea as to why or how it's happening... but you and I aren't the only ones that it's happened too. I woke up in a bar, of all places, with another girl who had it happen to her at the same time it happened to me. There was chaos all around, some sort of smoke in the air, and lots of other kids."
She had her wallet and the metal knuckles in both hands, weighing what she wanted to see. One was a weapon and.... she wasn't sure if she wanted to see what else her older self had been capable of. The other was the closest thing she had to knowing her true identity, even if half of it was fake. What would he get off of it, though? Her waiting around at the DMV to get a new license?
"I... I don't think I would like my older self a whole lot. Don't get me wrong, I'm not afraid of a fight necessarily, but... killing someone?"
She shuddered and shoved the weapon out toward him.
Might as well rip the band aid all the way off, right?

Ty nodded. "Yeah. I'd like to know what the hell is going on here myself, and I think this'll help more than anything else has," he replied shaking away the memories from that disturbing 'therapy' session with Doc. It gave him answers, but it replaced each answered question with a million unanswered ones.
Ty understood her reaction to his warning; it was pretty much exactly what he expected. It was better that she know he might see her naked than for her to get an accidental surprise vision after the fact.
"Yeah. I woke up on a park bench, and I wrote down my birthday but it didn't match up with what I know, and there are a lot of gaps, and with my power...I saw things I probably wasn't supposed to. Though between us, maybe we can get closer to determining what happened." He paused, thinking. "I don't remember anything like that. My clothes that I was wearing didn't tell me anything, almost like someone took precautions against my ability or something. Like maybe there was something they really didn't want me to see."
He nodded. "I don't like my older self, either. He really strikes me as kind of a dickbag. I'm just..striving to not be like him. Laying off the liberal murder, and hopefully I'll do a better job at keeping a girlfriend," he commented dryly, shrugging as she reached out with the brass knuckles. He removed his glove and reached out to touch them. "Well, here goes nothing....or hopefully....everything."
She wasn't sure about the conspiracy he was peddling, because that is exactly what it sounded like to her... and yet at the same time she didn't have much room to speak with the conspiracy that she and Lenna had first latched onto.
She also chose to ignore the fact that he mentioned liberal murders and all that. She... really didn't want to think of other of them having murdered anyone at any point, thank you.
The knuckled she handed him had seen a lot. Oh boy, had they seen some stuff. Young Megan was not away that her older self had had them for many years, and kept them on her at virtually all times in a pocket... just in case she needed them. They had seen bar fights, back alley tussles, more recently they had seen interrogations while Megan had been in the process of hunting Roach down.
So much blood, and a few lost lives.
Younger Megan, with eyes full of worry, sat and waited while gnawing on her lip worriedly.
Really... should she be doing this? Maybe... maybe ignoring it all wasn't so bad?

There was a lot of nervousness in the room for two teens just handing off brass knuckles. Ty took a breath, and focused as his bare hand touched the cold metal.
The knuckles spent a lot of time in a pocket, but what Ty didn't think about was what the view from brass knuckles would look like. Brief images, all jerky and moving rather quickly. Fights, interrogations, so much blood, and even the occasional death at their hand. There was that name again. Roach. Their older selves' mutual contact. It didn't see the death of Roach, but he already had that information.
It felt like a lifetime, but it only lasted a few seconds; a few seconds of years and years of violence being shoved into his brain all at once. He was feeling dizzy, like his stomach had lurched and his body had twisted even though he never moved. His face was pale, and he was a little shaky.
"These have seen a lot of bloodshed..." he said weakly. "Let me process the memories, I think you had these on when whatever happened happened, but...It's like getting a book on the entire history of something and trying to pinpoint one moment. Everything moved so fast..." He plopped on the floor, sitting down and holding his head in his palms.
"I still don't really know anything. Like you were older...and then you woke up and...you were the way we are now?"
