The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tses sighed. The kid really didn't think before she spoke. While Tses was having a moment of weakness, that didn't mean she was trustworthy. Heck, she just punched the girl in the face, and blew up her bag. The girl responded by telling her how her power works?
"Listen, Sparks, don't go telling people you are useless without electronics. Do you want me to take your ass to some Amish village and dump you there? I have a thread of pity about four inches long and you're already at the end of it." They reached the store and she dumped her. Tses stood back for a moment before pushing her hair out of her face.
"I don't plan on sticking around so I would get whatever recharge you can and get yourself cleaned up. Next time, maybe you'll get in a punch or two back." Was she baiting the kid? Maybe. Sometimes that is what someone needed though. Tses remembered her losing fights in the past, and how the anger dragged her forward like fire. Maybe this spitfire would be the same. If not, not her problem.

Fishy
"Didn't say I was useless. Just letting you know you didn't do as much as you think you did," she grumbled. Even if it was true. Her ability made sleep a mere afterthought, with her needing maybe a third to a quarter of what most people needed, and without a charge she could do nearly nothing but sleep.
"Next time meet me in a Stereo Hut and I'll kick your ****ing ass..." she muttered under her breath. She pressed her back against the building, pulling her knees close to her chest and resting her chin on them as she just sat there, taking in the electricity. Just that alone felt refreshing, but...inside she was still feeling like crap.
"Just leave me the **** alone," she breathed, her voice sharp, though she didn't make eye contact this time. It was obvious the fight had been taken out of her, and she was on the verge of just being done. She wanted to cry, but she didn't do that. She wouldn't do that. She couldn't do that. Not here. She already looked pitiful, and she wasn't about to add to that.
She was tough. She was cool, dammit. Seeing the customary little blue sparks occasionally passively dance across the back of her hands made her feel a little better as she hugged her knees. The world finally stopped spinning, but why did everything hurt?
Tses didn't leave, even with the girl snarling at her. It really was like seeing a kitten all puffed up and angry. Was she a bad person for feeling amused? Probably. Tses never had the illusion she was a good person though. She was just, slightly less evil than others.
When the little flickers of light seemed to return, Tses felt satisfied. Like her own green glow, she took light as a sign that the powers were alive and working. "Maybe some day I will. I like a good fight. And next time, maybe I'll even break a sweat." She looked at one of her hands with an amused smile. Her arms were littered with scars of her past fights, lessons she learned over the years. While she didn't want this kid to go through that level of trauma, she knew life was tough, and someone had to teach you.
Today, she was just a mentor. A mentor in how it felt to get your ass kicked.
"See you around Sparkler. Until the rematch then." And she slipped off through the nearest building, like a ghost retreating the way she appeared.
