The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kansas had been rather nice to Ty over the past year or so he'd been there. He'd settled down and started a new life in a rural small town area, and was head of a small vigilante group he'd dubbed the Neighborhood Watch. Every now and then he would have these weird...flashes of...something? They weren't memories, or at least he didn't think so. But they felt like it. They weren't dreams because they hit him when he was wide awake. They weren't too big of a hinderence, but they were a bit disturbing to say the least.
In the day, Ty worked in a small-town antique shop where he was able to use his powers to aid in his work. But at night he and three other mutants worked with(and against) the local police force to keep the town of Lenexa clean and crime free.
------
A black van was parked outside of Taylor's Treasure Trove at around noon. "Customer just left. No traffic for miles, and the only person inside seems to be the target. We've got him. Move in." The blonde woman in the passenger seat spoke, while a blue haired gentleman sat in the driver's seat in silence. Simultaneously, the two of them stepped out of the van, both clad in black, and strolled into the shop where Ty was sitting, honestly half asleep.
Ding-Dong!
The chiming of the bell woke Ty from his daze as the pair walked in and separated, looking at various objects. The male brought an old jug to the counter, and Ty reached out to ring it up when the man suddenly grabbed Ty's hand. "Hey! What the--"
Blue electricity arced from the man's hands and climbed up Ty's body, stunning him right as Brooke jumped the counter and tackled the ginger mutant to the ground. But grabbing his shirt stopped the blonde woman in her tracks.
Running water. Dog using a hydrant. Baby crying. Shoe stepping in gum. All black and white silent scenes just as random flashed before Brooke's mind as this gave Ty the opening he needed as the stun wore off and he was able to move. Quickly, he swept Brooke's leg and then darted out of the back. His feet ran pattered down the street as he ran for dear life. Then...he felt a sharp sting in the back of his neck and he went down, hard. His vision was blurred, but he was able to just make out two figures standing over him.
"Trying to leave your life of crime? You're very good at hiding, Ty Fisher. But we've got you now."
He tried to ask what the hell she was talking about, but no words came out as the world faded into darkness.

The woman in the black leather kept Ty sedated the entire ride. Handcuffed and buckled into the van, with her next to him. Sometimes, he'd almost come to, and would mumble something incoherent, but before his vision would come completely into focus, she'd put another dose of....whatever that was into him, and he would fade right back into the darkness.
So of course he didn't know how long he was out. As the real world spiraled around him, Ty found himself dreaming, well..not so much dreaming, as the fuzzy images that he'd deduced were probably repressed memories coming back. Jumping rooftops with a familiar blond woman who radiated with explosive green light. He felt a bond with her. They'd done everything together. Loved, fought, caused trouble, broken up, gotten back together again. But then...he found himself torn away from her, and she was gone.
This dream melted into another one, another familiar face. Another blonde, but this one could control water. They weren't together as long, but there was something, albeit briefly. But then, she was gone too.
And then, he found himself remembering an underground gambling ring where he was approached by a young dark-haired woman who could control the weather. Again, this wasn't as long as the first one, but it was longer than the second. Images of them hanging out, her patching up his injuries, which frankly happened quite often. But for the first time since Tses....there was a happiness. And then...
She was gone too. Every one of them. Gone. There was this sinking feeling that the first one was his first real love, and everything after was just him trying to replicate that. But....it never happened. And he ran away from all that. But not just that...from...these people.
And just like that, all at once, everything that Ty Fisher had been running from....

The room was spinning, and Ty's head was hurting worse than it had in a long time, but from what he could tell, he was no longer in a vehicle. In fact, he was strapped down to some sort of an operating table, or a hospital bed, or something. The room smelled sterile, and the bright lights made it even harder to focus, though he couldn't tell if the tears streaming down his face were from the lights or from whatever emotional state whatever they'd knocked him out with had put him in. He could vaguely see some figure in a white coat standing over him, and he struggled against his restraints.
They actually had put wooden blocks between his arms and the armrests of the bed so that his hands wouldn't be able to come into contact with anything. They knew about his power, apparently. Things finally came into focus, but he still couldn't identify his captors because the only person in the room was wearing a face-mask and some sort of headcover.
"Let me go you ****ing coward. You couldn't do **** if I wasn't tied down..."
"I doubt that, Mr. Fisher. From what I understand, you've lost your touch," the harsh feminine voice practically hissed.
His blood ran cold, not just at the mention of his name, but the way it was said. Ty knew he didn't always walk the straight and narrow. But the way this woman said his name, it was almost as if she was speaking a curse.
"We've been looking for you for a long time, Mr. Fisher...and now...we've finally got you."
He felt another jab in his arm, this one much more forceful than the lady in the van had been, and very slowly, everything went all blurry again before fading to black.
-----
His eyes flew open after some time. He found himself in a sterile room, painfully white, obnoxious lights buzzing overhead that he was forced to stare into. He went to sit up, but he couldn't. His arms were tied down, and his hands couldn't reach anything.
"What's going on? I didn't mean to steal that car! Okay, I did....but I was gonna put it back I promise!" His head was killing him, and fighting against the restraints seemed to do nothing. there didn't even seem to be anyone else here. God...he felt like his brain was about to pop out of his eye sockets...And the lights didn't help. So he just closed his eyes, trying to ignore it long enough to go to sleep.
-----
Ty Fisher awoke on a hard park bench as a bitter wind blew through. "God that was a weird-ass series of dreams..." he grumbled.
Sitting up, he pulled his leather jacket even tighter and adjusted his green fingerless gloves. He realized he had nothing else on him. No knife. No phone, no wallet. "Somebody musta stole my **** while I was asleep," he groaned as he stood to his feet.
His hair was shaggy and unkempt, his clothes were dirty, but his face was ridiculously smooth as he walked his way through the park, looking for a target to swipe some money off of. There was a small skip to his step as his icy blue eyes scanned the still dark area, though the sun would probably be up soon. Maybe he'd find a good mark before then.
After all, he was sixteen. And teenage boys required a lot of food. And a lot of food requires a lot of money.
