The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She was getting paid to fly. How rad was that? The doldrums of summer had urged Gina to seek employment. And, though the position had originally called-for a “bicycle messenger”, Gina had managed to gain a competitive edge by throwing the mutation card into the mix. She could literally fly over the traffic that would otherwise pose a danger the a messenger on a bicycle. The job was as good as hers.
And that, friends, is how she was getting paid to fly.
Gina lit on the exposed rooftop of a multitiered skyscraper, fishing her phone out of her pocket. The first stop wasn’t too far off-- Gina traced the route with a clawed fingertip, then followed the same route along the street below with her eyes. No problem.
The gargoyle broke into a jog, then leapt off the roof of the building, her wings catching air.
The light was low in the sky, making the buildings little more than silhouettes against the reddish sun. Gina shook a few stray strands of hair free of her face, squinting through her sunglasses at the sidewalk below. She found an open place, landed, and quickly trotted up the stairs to the apartment’s entryway.
Gina skimmed the pager, found a smudged “A. Gordon”, and pressed the button.
“Ms. Gordon?” Gina spoke into the speaker, “This is Gina with Nile.com.”
She waited for a response, before continuing.
“Sorry to bother you, but I have a package that needs a signature.”
She didn’t make the rules, she just delivered the packages.
The buzzer next to her door chimed and the Greek abandoned her lasagna on the counter to go answer. The voice on the other end introduced itself and she hurried to reply.
"Oh, no worries! I'll buzz you in."
She jabbed the other little button that would grant entrance to the building and hurried back to the kitchen. She'd made extra food in order to share it with one of her neighbors, but it turned out that the neighbor in question was on vacation at the moment.
Sure, she could eat all of it herself with no issues... but, well... She was kinda disappointed about it. She had known the man for about a year now. He was attractive with a down to earth job and he volunteered in his free time. She had even gotten him to come to some of her own volunteer events.
The greek frowned down at her disappointment dinner for a moment before turning the oven off and heading back toward the front door. She would be ready to greet the delivery person at the first knock, with a large tip in hand for the bother of having to come all the way up to her.
When the time inevitably came, she would be pleasantly surprised by who was on the other side of the door. She blinked bright orange eyes in surprise. "Oh....Gina?"

A female voice replied, saying that they'd buzz Gina in. The gargoyle awaited the signal then charged inside, smiling from ear to ear. Navigating the apartment was straightforward enough, and soon enough the petite gargoyle found herself at the door to A. Gordon's apartment. She rung the doorbell. Muffled footsteps became suddenly louder, there was the click if a lock and the turning of a handle. The door swung open to reveal a very green, vaguely familiar face.
>> "Oh....Gina?"
“Yes, that's me!” The gargoyle acknowledged. Gina knew her. Like, actually knew her. But… she wasn't a classmate, Gina would've remembered her name if that'd been the case. She proffered the clipboard that needed signing from a mostly-emptied messenger bag.
“I know I know you,” Gina said, lifting her sunglasses from her eyes, “But my brain is totally fried. Remind me of your name? Oh, and please sign here-”
The Greek smiled slightly, reaching out for the clipboard when it was offered. "Oh, no worries. I am kind of a shut in, so there is not much to be remembered in most cases." She handed clipboard back and opened her door a little further. "I believe I remember you from the school... I spent quite a few years there. My name is Andrea." She offered a hand in greeting.
Then, she remembered the huge amount of food she had just been bemoaning, and perked up a bit. Sloth slithered his face out from within her hair, flicking a pink tongue curiously at the newcomer.
"Oh!..Uhm. Perhaps, if it is not an awkward thing to ask, would you like to come in for a moment?" She stepped out of the way and gestured toward her kitchen area, which was just visible from the doorway. "I am afraid that I prepared an abnormal amount of food for dinner, intending to give some to a neighbor of mine... but found out last second he is away on vacation." She chuckled weakly, fully aware of how strange the request must seem. "I have been moping about for the last hour pondering what to do with all of it."
Gosh... it had been a long while since she had had company over! Thankfully, the condo was clean and tidy for once... no medical paperwork or books strewn about all over the place.
"..And feel free to say no. You must be busy, and I would not want to keep you just to fancy myself less wasteful of leftovers"
