The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Thankfully, Megan wasn't really the type to wear much when it came to Jewelry. Her various facial and ear piercings were generally the only things on her person at all times, and that was only because they were a pain to take out and put back in. She didn't wear rings because they tended to interfere with how effectively she could punch.
She was definitely a fan of how warm Ty's hand was in her own, though. It was nice when typically that feeling only came from fresh blood seeping through her fingers.
The walk was quick, and as they went she surveyed the area. She needed to know entrances and exits, possible points for ambushes and such... she couldn't be too careful these days. "I can say for sure it's still better than my place. I don't visit it much, so it basically looks like a show home on the market 24 seven."
She waited for the door to close, before her grip on Ty's hand tightened slightly, and she tried to maneuver the woman into a gentle turn back towards her. For all her many faults, Megan had always had a soft spot for romance. She tended to take her encounters seriously and with as much care as possible. It was a side of her not many ever saw.
She leaned in again, expression relaxed and focused, and reached up to tuck away some of that beautiful red hair from Ty's face. "Let me know when you are ready."

The hand holding was...nice, she had to admit, and though she didn't usually take off the gloves for physical contact, she figured it'd been awhile, and...it was so much nicer without the gloves. "Little more than a place to lay your head, eh?" she replied with a smile as she was turned to face the other woman.
She took off her other glove and stowed it in her purse, then set it on a nearby counter before taking the hand back. When she saw the woman leaning in, she shuddered as hair was brushed out of her face, smiling lightly. Her breath caught at the words spoken.
"I'm ready..." she breathed, leaning in for another kiss. "But...I have a confession to make. I've never actually done...this...with another woman," she said, a light blush tinting her cheeks as she looked at Charlotte, focusing more on the familiar murmurings of her house and furniture than she was the potentially awkward moment.
Ty leaned in but Megan pulled back slightly, just enough that the warmth of her breath could be felt on her lips.
Tattooed fingers curled up to entwine in ginger hair. Half-lidded blue eyes crinkled slightly at the corners and she chuckled. "Not much different from a man, if I'm being honest. But I wouldn't worry. I'm experienced enough for the both of us... I'll go slow. Walk you through it."
She closed the distance to place a gentle kiss on her lips, and half focused on shedding some of her layers. Her skin was littered with tattoos and scars. Her knuckles, arms, shoulders, collarbone, neck... there wasn't a part on her that didn't have at least one tattoo. She was excited to see what her companion looked like.

Fingers entwined in her hair, and she shuddered lightly at the touch. Her breath caught as she nodded, looking the other woman over; she was covered in scars and tattoos. This woman just radiated badass, and yet she was gentle. The kiss sent a shiver up her spine as she too, moved to lessen the amount of clothes she was wearing.
Her hand moved to trace a tattoo on Charlotte's arm as she looked at the ink that lined her skin. The two of them were like night and day; one tough girl with a dark mohawk, body decorated with tattoos and scars, and the other a petite redhead, not a single mark or slightest piercing on her fair skin, save for her pierced ears. On the surface, Ty looked like just your average 'good little girl,' even if innocence was only skin deep.
"Heh, I guess there is..." she murmured with a slight smile as she leaned in for another kiss, her heart pounding in her chest as her breath caught once again.
Goosebumps raced across her skin as Ty dragged her fingers over her tattoos. Megan took a moment to marvel in that smooth porcelain skin, before continuing her efforts. Quick gentle kissed transitioned into longer ones. Then trailed from the lips to the jaw... the neck... the collarbone.
All the while she took her time to ensure that Ty would enjoy everything to the fullest. She wasn't a greedy lover. She loved being able to share in the experience, and the more the redhead enjoyed it the happier Megan would be.
"I'll make sure it's a memorable first, at that..."
Once she figured out which way the bedroom has she headed them in that direction, leaving a trail of discarded clothing behind as they went.
[Fade to Black]
--
Quite a while later Megan was stepping out of the bathroom, hair pretty much already dried and pulling her tank top back on over her head. Even though the water had been more or less frigid and the faucet had threatened to fall off she didn't mind. It was nice being able to wash the sweat off and get a sense of being refreshed.
Now she just needed a strong coffee... or a nap. Whichever came first.
She headed for her pants, which were still somewhere out in the hall, smiling at Ty as she tugged them on and buttoned them. "How're ya feelin'?" She slicked her hair back from her face and ruffled the scruffy back. She'd need a haircut again soon.

Ty just lay in bed for a few moments, or what she thought was just a few moments, anyway. As she lay there, staring at the ceiling, gathering her thoughts and just enjoying the moment, she realized she'd heard the shower cut off. She didn't know how long, but she was realizing it'd been some time. As she rolled over onto her sighed, she saw Charlotte standing there, dressed.
She didn't move, looking the other woman over with a smile. "Still recovering," she teased, smirking a little before finally standing to her feet and stretching. Then, she walked to the other side of the room, grabbing a black shirt and pair of black shorts from the closet and getting dressed again; she'd figured she'd get the clothes she'd had put in the dirty laundry when she felt like finding them. "That was a memorable first time, that's for sure~"
After a few moments, she spoke again, thoughtfully. "Ya know, if you don't plan on leaving anytime soon, I could always take you to see some of my art," she suggested.
The icy-eyed woman contemplated that for a moment. It wasn't like she had much else to do while Roach was in hiding. Her business contacts were already taken care of for the next few months, and she didn't have any current silk orders to start. Local crime worthy of any thought had dropped save for the spree of missing people reports popping up.
Ehhh, why not?
"Sure, why not? I did say I wanted to see if, didn't I." With a smile, she set about gathering the rest of her stuff. On went the holster and pistol tucked neatly under the back of her shirt. Knife and sheath were strapped back around her ankle, with her boot tugged on over. Her jacket went on last and she patted her pockets to make sure her steel knuckle was still in there.
"Do you have stuff here, or are we going out an about again?" It was pretty late at night, but she wasn't concerned. There weren't many things she hadn't already run into these days.

Ty smiled as she agreed, now much less worried about the voices she'd heard, or the weapons her 'date' was now concealing. "Well, considering my medium is spray-paint and my canvas is the side of buildings...we'll have to do a little traveling," she said with a smirk. Her tone wasn't rude, but she was letting her more sarcastic, playful side out to play for a bit. Why not? Besides, Charlotte seemed like the type to appreciate that kind of humor. And if not, well she'd had a good time already so it wasn't all for nothing.
She pulled her shoes onto her feet; she surprisingly didn't have a problem going out this late either, but she was relatively good at staying off of people's radar. Usually.
Grabbing her purse and taking the other mutant's hand, Ty locked up the apartment before leading her back outside. However, instead of going straight to the motorcycle, she led her maybe two blocks over, to an abandoned building. On the wall was a spray-painted image; this one was more abstract, but a blend of blacks and greens, and still quite the sight to behold.
"I don't always make a message or political statement. Sometimes, I'm just blowing off steam," she admitted.
The spider mutant chuckled at the sarcasm. She was feeling relaxed... chill. It was nice after months of having to watch her back constantly. She was a little surprised momentarily when Ty grabbed her hand. She... wasn't used to contact after the fact. Generally, she just got up and dressed, either leaving or letting the other person see themselves out. She eyed the hand holding hers for a moment, before deciding she was thinking too much into it.
One short walk later, she was standing beside the redhead looking up at a wall. It was colorfully decorated. She could tell a lot of work had gone into it, even if she couldn't envision how long it had taken. Most taggers tended to get good at dropping great pieces on the fly.
"It's pretty fantastic, I'll give you that. How long did it take?" She turned her gaze from the wall to her companion, forgetting that she was still holding the woman's hand. "You do all of this by yourself, out here alone?"
She was reminded of when she had first come to the city. Running around getting into trouble willy-nilly, but really giving a damn about consequences so long as she got to do what she wanted. At some point, that kind of life had become more dangerous it seemed. It felt like a dream, so long ago...

The redhead's blue eyes looked over her work of art, a very colorful double-helix. DNA, to be precise. This particular one used dominantly red and blue. "It doesn't take me very long anymore, but you kind of have to be quick, ya know?" she said with a wink. "That way you don't get caught."
She nodded, looking over at Charlotte, thumb stroking her hand idly as she spoke. "Honestly, yeah. I don't usually have a choice. I mean...I came here all by myself, I was all by myself back home. That's just how it is, I guess. But I survived, right? And since I've made it this far, it isn't a big deal for me to just keep going," the woman explained.
Smiling, she changed the subject back to her art. "One day, the city's gonna be covered with these," she murmured mischievously.
Megan's eyes twinkled at the thought of the city being decked out with colorful graffiti. Considering that she was covered in art herself, she appreciated the idea.
She turned from looking at Ty, to looking back at the art. "This City seems to do that to a lot of people. You come here alone, you fight alone, you die alone." She eyes unfocused for a moment as she checked in with one of her sentry scouts a few buildings away. A Roach had been spotted for one brief moment. Whether or not it was one of his, she didn't know... but it wasn't safe anymore. She came back to herself and snuck a peek at the redhead by her side. Pale and soft. Even if Megan tended not to stick around for long after, she didn't generally want her partners to end up on Roache's radar. She wouldn't wish that on most people.
It was time to go.
Without a word, she turned and slipped her hand behind the redhead's neck, sneaking in a quick parting kiss. As she was pulling away, her eyes were unfocused again, staring off slightly above the woman's head.
"You gonna be safe walking back by yourself?" She left the fact that she was leaving unspoken. She was internally hyping herself up for the battle that could happen.

"Sounds almost like some young adult novel's tagline," the artist replied with a light snort at her companion's comment. "Though there's a dark truth to it."
After that was a moment of silence as the cool night air provided a bit of a breeze to accompany them, though for Ty, it wasn't quite as silent. She could hear the whispers coming off of her company's belongings, even some coming from the wall, the ground under their feet, the dumpster not far from them...
Part of her had to wonder if she came back later, would she hear this conversation. She knew she would, but she never had that sort of experience before, and she had to ponder for a moment what that might be like. Probably surreal. Maybe she should try sometime.
Her train of thought was broken by a soft hand on the back of her neck as lips met hers. She returned the very quick kiss, her hand moving expertly to grab the other woman's butt, discretely slipping a piece of paper into her back pocket in the meantime. Her number.
They normally didn't call back when or if they found it, but eventually something would stick, if for nothing more than another meeting, right?
"Yeah, I should be fine," she said with a soft smile. "Tonight was fun. You take care of yourself, and maybe we'll meet again." With that, she leaned in for one more parting kiss before turning and disappearing into the night.
