The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Dante smiled, nodding. He took note to admire the view as she rolled her shoulders and stretched before playing. Honestly, he liked that she was well toned. It proved that she was able to handle herself.
"Well, I normally say ladies first, but I'm a little bit out of practice and could probably use all the help I can get," he said with a smirk as he looked her over before eyeing the pool table, measuring his shot. Once he got comfortable with the cue in his hand, he took position, leaning over(and possibly taking a little longer to aim, just to give her ample chance to get a view) and finally getting the angle he liked.
After a moment, he took his shot, the cue making decent contact with the cue ball and making a rather solid break. But nothing sunk. A few came close, but hey, he was still knocking off the rust. Besides, win or lose, he really didn't mind this time.
Kitra smirked and nearly whistled out loud as Dante moved nice and slow to get into the angle he wanted. He was giving her a show! She certainly was enjoying it. He definitely made a good break and nearly sunk a few balls in after giving her the good show.
She smiled coyly, "Watch how its done." Kitra sauntered around the table whilst eyeballing the best angle. Putting herself and her que stick in the right spot was crucial. She could see how to get in at least three balls. Now to just get in said spot.
One handsome problem was in her way however. Kitra grinned and gently hip checked Dante. "Scoot, I like this angle right here." Smirking she eased down into her desired position, making sure to show off while doing so. Flexing her hands, she then quickly aimed and took her shot. The que ball hit the four and the four smacked into the other side of the table then hit the seven and the seven hit the two and the two and seven went into two separate holes as the four tapped the one and they both sat in front of a third hole. Just teasing her to be smacked in.
"Hmph," Kitra grumped out loud. " I'm certainly out of practice. No matter though.". Kitra shrugged and moved to the other side of the pool table. One could say she flounced over as she was slightly miffed with herself. Of course, she shouldn't be as it had been a few years as she had really played. But dang it, she used to be good!
Kitra eyed the five and looked it at and the two balls sitting in front of the hole. If she hit that than she risked hitting one of the stripes, possibly into a hole! Well, it was a risk she would take. One for her opponent wasn't a bad thing in this case. She grinned as she took her shot and watched with a smirk as the que ball hit the five and the five brushed the ten and then hit the four and the four hit the one and all three rolled into the hole.
Kitra let out a quick sigh of relief and stood, grinning at Dante. "I'll pass so you can get a shot or two in."
Dante intended to watch how it was done; that was why he'd picked this game in the first place. He'd picked a spot to watch, but soon found himself being gently hip checked. Chuckling, he stepped back with a smirk to enjoy the show of his own. And from the look of her shot...Dante was out of his league here. Granted, he was known for getting in over his head, anyway. Besides, though he wasn't going to actively try to lose, he was sort of convinced he would.
Oh well, at least the reason he picked pool was working out well. The view was going to more than compensate for the fact that he was probably about to get his ass kicked. Though, he could do a lot worse, in that sense. She claimed to be out of practice, but that was a damn good shot. And then she passed on to him. Showing him pity. That hurt his ego quite a bit, and cut his little show short, but he guessed she needed something to look at too. So, he guessed it was fair.
He took his stance and lined up his shot. That ten was begging to be knocked in. He took a breath, and hit the cue ball pretty squarely, and it hit the ten, and then the thirteen, but only sunk the ten. He was getting the hang of it, sort of. He shrugged, bending over to take his shot at the thirteen, which he sunk, but he'd put a little too much power behind the shot, and the cue ball went in as well.
He cursed under his breath, though maybe louder than intended. But if he'd wanted to show off, he'd have picked the arcade.
Kitra couldn't help the chuckle that escaped her as she knew he was checking her out. She nearly let out an unladylike snort he cursed the que ball for going in. She stepped around him while chuckling and retrieved said que ball. " I suppose that makes it my turn."
She set the que ball on the pool table diagonal to both the three and six she had yet to drive in. Easing herself into position, she eyed her que ball and then her two solids. Kitra's eyes narrowed briefly and than she took her shot. The que ball hit the three and smacked it right into a hole. The white shot back towards her and hit the side and went straight back for the six. It knocked the six right in as well. But decided to go right in after it. "Fiddlesticks."
He got the feeling she was amused by him, if nothing else. Though as far as whether or not that was a good thing....well it could go either way. "I guess it does," he said, sort of leaning on his cue as he watched her make her move. She managed to get both of her solids in, but the cue ball went in as well.
Dante smirked a little, though he knew the game was almost over and he didn't stand much of a chance. But that was just the way things worked sometimes. He judged a shot, thinking he could at least try to chip away at his deficit as he leaned over the table, giving his date a rather good view. But the shot wasn't right so he stood up and adjusted. Sure, he may have been having a little fun with her, but could you blame him?
The cue ball knocked the nine ball in, which somehow miraculously bounced off and just barely pushed the twelve on into the hole. His second shot sunk the eleven. Third shot, just barely grazed the fourteen. No dice.
'Well, at least her view was a da** good one', Kitra smiled wryly. Dante had left the balls in a great spot. If she could hit the que ball right, not only would she be able to get her last solids in, she could knock all of his stripes and the eight ball in.
"I think this will be my last turn for this round." She was smirking, oh this would suck if she didn't get them all in though. Kitra leaned down and eyed the que ball. Her eyes flicked back and forth between all the balls before she struck. The que ball smacked into the eight and the eight started a ping pong effect. Her solids dropped in right before the stripes starting rolling down the holes. With movement that was too fast too follow all of the balls went in with the eight ball being the last to drop down.
She straightened and blinked, "Well, I wasnt sure if I would eat my words or not. Didn't think I still had the coordination to manage that.". Kitra grinned bemusedly at Dante. "So, another round of pool or over to the arcade?"
Oh, she was looking rather confident. Though that spelled danger for the game--which, let's face it, Dante had accepted his loss ages ago--he liked that. It looked pretty damn good on her, he had to admit. Honestly, he didn't even see the shot, because he was still looking at her as she leaned over the pool table. Hey, it was why he picked this game in the first place.
But when he looked up, the table was empty, save for the cueball. "Impressive," was all Dante said, smirking a little after she'd spoken. And to be honest, she was--and so was the shot, of course.
"Well, the arcade is more my style," he admitted, though he'd never fully admit why he picked pool in the first place. However, he was pretty sure she had a good idea, anyway. It definitely wasn't because of his skill.
Offering his hand out to her, he walked over to the arcade area, surveying the different games. It was always important to get the lay of the land, after all.
Kitra smiled and put her que stick back, grabbed her jacket and purse and took Dante's offered arm. She certainly didn't mind pool, it always gave her a good view of her opponent. In this case it had been an excellent view. With the arcade however, she would need her full attention on whatever games they chose to play.
There were several games to choose from. Current and old. Shooting, puzzles, button mashers, etc. Kitra looked over to Dante. " So what would you prefer to start with?"

Once they'd gotten their sticks put up, and their arms were locked, their time for pleasant viewing was over. But now that they were over by the arcade, it was time to focus. And he wasn't planning on holding anything back. His eyes rested on her figure for one more brief moment before scanning the various games.
He was looking to favor more of the old ones, but the newer ones weren't that bad, either. Reluctantly, he released her arm and walked over to an old fighting game. It was more of a button masher, seeing as how it only had three buttons and a joystick for each player, but it was an old classic. Motioning her over, he put the coins in for each of them and the game fired up.
For a character, he picked the stereotypical muscle-head in these games. Large guy, very little clothes. He didn't put much strategy into these games; he liked to hit fast and hit hard.

Kitra rolled her eyes a bit before choosing an equally clad, or not clad, female warrior with a big butt. The classic Fight! Popped on the screen as the old arcade machine said it as well. Button mashing and arrow mashing commenced. She raised an eyebrow as she was getting her ass handed to her.
"Sooo, apparently I suck at this for now." She laughed and went on to the next round.
Dante noticed the eyeroll, but he really didn't have anything to say or do that would offset that. He didn't like pool, but at least that gave you something else to do when it wasn't your turn. If you didn't like videogames, then it just didn't work. Oh well; maybe he could make it up to her if she really didn't like it.
When the classic "FIGHT" appeared on the screen, Dante flew into another mode. However, it would be noted he wasn't just mashing buttons. It was meticulous, intentional. After all these years, of course he'd forgotten some of the combos, but he was able to easily make due with what he knew, and others would come to him in time.
"For now, but after that spanking you gave me, I'd say it's perfectly fair," he said, looking over at the attractive older woman with a wink.
Kitra pouted slightly, "Fair is fair I suppose, let's keep going shall we?" She certainly didn't mind getting her as* kicked. Especially since she was having a lot of fun.
Several rounds later, some wins and many losses and just a few draws, she spoke. " So, any other games you'd like to kick my butt at?". Kitra was grinning, she was starting to get back into the old arcade mode. Just a bit.

After that first round, she apparently found her edge. She'd managed to beat him a few times, and they drew a couple of times. She just needed to knock the rust off, was all. As far as dates went, this was fun, and they weren't even getting in any trouble. If all dates went like this, maybe he wouldn't hate dating so much.
"Well, there's a racing game over there. One of those platformers that combine co-op with trying to get a higher score, and there's more of a co-op dungeon crawl/hack and slash type game." he let his eyes linger on hers for a moment, giving her a rather sly smirk before offering his arm again and leading her all the way across the arcade to the dungeon crawler. Maybe not his first choice, but it'd give him a reason to make physical contact again, so he went for it.
Popping the coins in, the character selection screen popped up, and being an 'old' school game, you had a barbarian, an archer, or a mage. Without thinking twice, Dante selected the barbarian character and waited for her to pick, after which they'd be thrown right into a dungeon, surrounded by skeletons. The goal was to work together, but it was also to survive.
Kitra happily returned his sly smirk with one of her own. Taking his offered arm, she allowed herself to be towed along until they got to the dungeon game. Chuckling at Dante choosing the barbarian, she herself chose the mage.
As soon as she selected they were dropped into the dungeon. It appeared the first floor was full of skeletons. Easy enough. She fireballed and ice lanced many as her fingers moved nimbly across the buttons and used the log stick with ease. Dante was crushing them left and right with his barbarian. They made a pretty good team.
Soon enough they came upon the boss skeleton. He looked a bit imposing. "Pretty sure we got this." Kitra grinned and waited a moment while Dante charged in with his barbarian. Once he his the skeleton boss she started lancing ice at the boss and following up with fireballs. Occasionally she would switch it up and cast a shield of sorts on Dante when that cool down popped up.
In a few minutes the boss was down and it gave them a minute timer before they would head down to the floor below. Kitra stretched and grinned at Dante. "Having fun?"

They actually did make quite the team, with him tanking most of the damage and giving as much as he got, and Kitra blasting them with spells and buffing him when she had the chance. The first boss was rather imposing, but they managed to take the giant skeleton down rather easily with their teamwork.
As long as he protected her, and she kept spamming with the magic, they were going to make it pretty far.
"I am," he said with a sly grin. "Glad you brought me along."
The second floor started, and suddenly they were swarmed by goblins. They came from both sides of the screen, and though they did minimal damage, they hit fast and they hit in large numbers. Luckily they were also pretty lacking in the HP department. But, they managed to work their way through. He'd have stolen a few more glances at her than he had, but this required their full attention, and they actually had to pay for these games, so maybe he'd get a chance to admire her figure some more later.
The second boss shook the ground as he entered: Ogre. He dealt half of Dante's health in one strike of his giant club, and the young man cursed, suddenly realizing how into this game he was.
