The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

If You Can't Say Anything Nice, Come Sit With Me! (Warlock)
>> "A good philosophy. One that more people should probably follow,"
Jonas nodded. Quietly and privately, however, Warlock didn’t quite follow that rule. Yes, be careful whom you messed with but the whole respect thing was really a matter of perspective.
>> "Yep; one of few I actually know the almost exact meaning of,"
You could read this girl pretty easily, but man the hair made it even easier apparently! He had a pretty good idea what pink was too…
>> "Sounds like my kind of party,"
Jonas chuckled, pushing off the tree he’d be using for support while pretending to catch his breath. Her hair went bright yellow and he tilted his head to the side slightly and grinned at that. >> "Since we're already here, who says we have to wait?"
The southerner laughed as he thought of the sweltering march in the desert to help encourage a slight blush. He drew close to slide his hands along her sides and rest them upon her hips. “Ain’t nobody in charge of me or you,” he whispered softly, leaning in to kiss her.
Skye smiled as he made his way close to her, her hair going back to the earlier pink. She visibly shuddered as his hands ran along her sides and rested on her hips; sure the hoodie got in the way, but it stopped just above her hips. Granted it was about this point she almost regretted now being a skirt kind of girl. Almost. She felt her cheeks growing warm as she blushed slightly.
Well now, this was definitely an unexpected surprise. "I like the way you think," she practically purred as their lips met. Her arms reached up to wrap around his neck, which sort of made his head seem to radiate a pink light, the way her hands were. Not that the young mutant girl really paid attention to any of that.
She smirked lightly behind the kiss; sure the day had a pretty crappy start, but it was starting to look up.
The pink returned and Jonas was so in! Warlock was so in. The fact this girl was game right here honestly made him wonder if maybe there was more to be had than a distraction once in the future. She trembled at his touch, but it was clear it was in anticipation not worry or concern. He licked at his lips before they met. He drank deeply as the air around him sparkled like a tropical sunset.
“Man,” the southerner whispered as he drew back a moment, biting at his lip as he took a good look at her. “This is crazy,” he chuckled, and leaned in for another kiss but that too ended eventually. “Now I don’t mind a tumble in the woods,” he nodded, “But neither of us are gonna much enjoy it if there’s cops about.”
Jonas grinned, biting at his lip as one head fought with the other. “You gonna call me or will I even get an answer if I call yer number, huh?” he asked, running thumb and forefinger of one hand through her hair. “I saved it under Rainbow Brite,” he smiled more cheerfully than seductively now.
Like all good things, the kiss came to an end, and Skye found herself gazing into his eyes. "Crazy can be good," she murmured with a smirk, but it soon faltered, "though considering the surrounding circumstances...maybe not the best idea in this case," she admitted, albeit begrudgingly.
"After that, I'm definitely going to be calling you. You now have an offer to make good on, after all, she said slyly, her hair going back to that playful yellow. She shuddered as his hand ran through her hair, then laughed heartily at her contact name. "Coming from you, I'll let that slide," she teased, her hair now swapping to orange as she topped it off with a wink.
>> "though considering the surrounding circumstances...maybe not the best idea in this case,"
Which followed into an agreeing smirk and a few more quick nods. Unfortunately, they were right. This girl was seeming useful enough to know and cool enough to party, but getting arrested wasn’t his plan. He’d had to have to leave her to take the heat and burn the Jonas identity.
>> "After that, I'm definitely going to be calling you. You now have an offer to make good on, after all,
He smiled broadly as he crossed his arms over the as broad chest. “And I’m glad you’ll hold me to it,” he chuckled. She took his joke in stride – he’d actually saved it under her name – and he exchanged the wink.
“Alright then. I’ll get goin’ first and shoot ya a text if the coast is clear. Nothin’ from me within 5 minutes and stay hidden,” he nodded again. “It’s like playing hookey from school again,” the humor kept in his voice. “Later,” he winked again and disappeared into the bushes.
A couple minutes later a text came in:
All clear, speak soon. Make sure ya call me next time you’re going to teach someone to watch their mouth!
