Scars/ Tattoos/ Piercings: Left Arm: Medicine wheel with red, yellow, black, and regular skin for the 4 quadrants as the background behind the triangle elements, Wiccan triangle symbols of the four elements that are uncolored, feathers hanging as charms, in the center of the wheel is the symbol for druidism, and the middle charm is a Christian cross made of nails.

Other features: Wears a pentagram necklace and ring on her right hand.

Everyday clothing style: T-shirts, jeans, some with designs and some without. Pretty relaxed and loose clothing style. Shoes also are typically Birkenstocks or boots. She has no interest in fashion so the Value Village is her favorite place to shop.

Character

Personality: Revanis shy at first when meeting new people. While she generally wants to fit in with everyone, she tends to stay back and watch, learn, and figure out the best ways to fit in. She doesn't trust herself to do it naturally and is critical of herself when making new friends. Revanwill try and be social with people but because she is a little socially awkward and working hard to reverse it, things are a little strange. If it's something she can relate to, she breaks out of her shell and is black and white with her shyness.

When Revan makes those close friends and manages to maintain the relationships, she can get very defensive of them when other people treat them wrong. Revan calls them her "pack" and like a wolf, she will defend them aggressively if she's able and protect them. She's not sure why she behaves this way, but she doesn't do anything about it either. She feels like it might be part of her "don't give a eff" attitude she has from time to time when she's in a good mood. Or bad one. She hasn't decided why that comes up yet.

Revan loves adventure. Whether it's going for a drive to somewhere new with her camera or a hike (really has to work herself up for a hike), she will try and make time out of her day to go for it. This also goes along with her "leaf on the wind" side of her personality where she doesn't like to be in one place for too long. Not wanting to be held down, she usually thinks of an idea, rolls with it without planning, and then enjoys the adventure. Or she will look at how much cash she has and then roll with it as long as she has enough for gas and lunch. It was that simple.

Revanstruggles with her identity and self-esteem. Part of this has to do with her weight and she is working to get herself into a program and diet that would help her lose weight. She doesn't think she's very pretty, and it kind of shows in her shyness. She will wear makeup and generally feel good about herself on some days, but on others when she's lazy she gets depressed. The only other struggle she has is that she is very critical of herself in her failure of things. Revan hates letting people down and will take it seriously when she does. She is very hard on herself in everything she does, even more so when she fails.

Hobbies/ Interests: Photography, meditation, animals, spirituality, pc games, music, crochet

Job or part-time job and description: Owner of her own photography business, but is looking for a job in security if she can find one. Photography doesn't pay the bills.

Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Phobia of bees she is working on due to her allergy, fear of rejection and bullying, a concern of slander of character.

Morality

Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Neutral Good. Might transform into Chaotic Good later. Revan respects the laws set in society, but she's also a free spirit and she doesn't wish to be held down. She's trying quite hard to break free from society and be what most people call a "hippy", but she is simply trying to connect to the universe and become more self and spiritually aware.

Mutations

Mutation description: Plant Manipulation. Revan is closely in tune with nature around her from the smallest of fungi to the largest of trees. She cannot create plants, but she can work with plants already existing. Revan specializes in working with trees and smaller saplings. She is capable of using other plants, but not as intuitively as trees.

Main Core: Nature Awareness. Revan is able to sense specific plants in nature and know specific things about that plant just by reaching out telepathically to it. Things that she learns from this include age of the plant, what stage it’s growing in if it’s about to seed, any medicinal properties, whether or not it is edible, etc. She can only identify appearances, characteristics, and types of plants a maximum of twenty miles. She can sense much more than that if she is closer but she still relies on her book knowledge of the plant.

Much of her plant knowledge is also book learned and through online courses such as herbalism. Some of these classes include botany, medicinal properties of plants, biology, horticulture, and courses that taught how to grow, process, and store medicinal plants. 

The weakness of this ability makes her very tired very quickly if she uses it for too long if she's in the city. It is lessened when she is out in a natural environment, but she still does tire after a few hours. Her limit in using this ability in the city is up to an hour. Out in the wild, the limit is up to three hours. She cannot identify all plants automatically by reaching out if one or more inhibiting factors that limit her abilities such as her energy level and concentration. Plant size also matters as it means there are more physical attributes and surface area available to connect with. Plants do not talk to her telepathically, but she can sense what they are due to her sensitive connection with nature. Any knowledge of medicinal properties is all book learned. The only use of this ability is locating the specific plant and it’s characteristics. Revan  can only do this once or twice a day because of how exhausting this is.

Facet: Botanical Communication. Revan is able to communicate with various plants around her of a certain size and age. For example, small recently sprouted plants she cannot speak to telepathically. The plants do not have personalities, but they can emit things like signals indicating their health, nutrients, and other important information about their growth and age. Very old trees on the other hand can say much more than that. They are connected with one another and can communicate the movements of creatures in the forest from vibrations on the surface of the forest floor. They can also communicate locations based on the vibrations, but they cannot identify what it is. Having conversations with trees is very slow and very tiring.

Weaknesses include limited endurance, especially with trees, takes time to process the communication the larger the plant. Must maintain constant contact with the plant in question. Cannot go any younger and smaller than saplings. Saplings are the youngest and therefore cannot be communicated with effectively. Youngest she can go is to speak to several year old trees with limited communication. Prolonged use can result in headaches, lethargy, dizziness, weakness, and hunger. Energy is drained from the exchange with the tree and therefore leaves her fairly weak. The bigger the tree, the more energy she has to sacrifice.

Facet: Floraportation. Revan can use trees as methods of transportation. Just by touching the tree and communicating with it, she can go from one place to ten miles away at a maximum at a new place. This is especially helpful for trying to get away or go to a secret place. She can transport only one other person with her, but it takes a great deal of energy.

What this looks like for her is that she “phases” into the tree. Ultimate concentration must be maintained during this transfer because like botanical communication, it takes a ton of energy just to transport herself. As she phases into the tree, the portal inside looks like looking at the world from the inside of a hollow tree. Once she is full inside, she walks out into the world from the other tree, even though she didn’t walk through a hollow tree. If she so chose to, she could use this to spy on other people because if she turned around she can see where she came from in the same way she would be looking at her destination.

Transport is instantaneous and less than a moment. After the transport, Revan cannot do this again for some time, so teleporting through trees is limited to emergencies only until she grows stronger. There is no flashes of light or anything mystical about the phase. As her face passes through the tree, the bark seems like it comes up super close to her face before it turns to black for less than a second, and then the view of looking out from inside a hollow tree. Any onlooker that watches her go into the tree sees her “melting” into it, or as if it’s a fake holographic wall and she disappears into it as if it’s not really there, and doesn’t see her come out the other side. Upon touching it, the tree is solid and cannot be passed through without her assistance. If they touch the tree while she is phasing, they will not fall through either unless she touches them and focuses on transporting them with her. They can pull her out if they chose to and nothing would happen with that.

Revan has the capability of transporting only one other person through the tree with her. She must maintain constant contact with the person (holding a hand usually works just fine) and focus when pulling him through the tree also. She has to imagine the other person as an extension of herself for it to work.

Revan can only go a maximum distance of five miles with herself, and two and a half with someone else on a bad day and in emergency use. On a good day where she prepares for the transport and actually eats enough for it she can double that distance just fine. The caveat is she has to prepare for it – when needing to be used in an emergency she isn’t prepared so distance is limited. Tree size is also at minimum a tree that is a few years old as wide as a human that can step inside sideways. Any smaller than that and she risks getting stuck – just as if she fails to focus she can become part of the tree for a time. Of course she can get out, but it takes a huge amount of begging and energy to get the tree to release her.

Weaknesses include being able to use it only twice with a four-hour rest in between uses due to the amount of energy is used. She must also get approval from the tree first so as not to "violate" it. Revan is able to spy on people for a time, but not a very long time. She can stay stationary within the tree portal for about fifteen minutes before her energy begins to deplete. It’s enough to get important information. The sounds from outside the tree seem to echo, as if she were listening to sounds underwater, but also slightly muffled. If Revan fails to transport the person with her, they will then be ejected out of the tree they entered from forcefully, but not enough to cause critical injury. It’s enough force to get hurt with however if something were in the path of the ejection.

Facet: Plant Manipulation. Revan has the capability of manipulating certain plants to her will as well as assist in their growth and production. Revan is limited to only working with food-producing plants and trees, as well as some ivy if she had to use it for defensive purposes. How Revan can use these for defensive purposes include immobilization through coiling the vines around body parts. This, of course, can be used for more structured purposes too such as utilizing the vines to climb.

Since Revan works with trees the most, they are the easiest to work with as far as shaping, bending, morphing, and other uses since she is familiar with the texture and strength. It takes time to bend the trees because of their mass. It’s a lot of physical surfaces to work with and visualize in her mind. Plus, with how stiff the wood is, it takes a lot of effort just to change its structure and shape. Revan cannot use trees to physically harm someone, but she can bend the tree to obstruct someone’s path and limit their movement, but this is very slow. At most using this ability, Revan can spend up to an hour just to make several branches either expand to be double their size or even just making the tree bend in a different direction. Because of how much energy it takes to do this, she can only focus for one hour before she risks exhaustion. The size of the tree also dictates how effective her ability is and for how long she can focus for. How this relates to the other powers is that she must have a telepathic connection with the tree, just like teleporting, and establish “permission” to do such things with it. Nature Awareness, Floraportation, and Botanical Communication all work together to make this ability possible.

Smaller plants such as ferns, production plants, and leaves are much easier as they are very soft. How Revan can make them grow is to manipulate the cells within the plant and trick it into blooming stage or seed stage through telepathic connection and manipulating the plant from the inside out. While she can’t use this ability on production plants to bend leaves or shape it, it’s mainly used to produce faster.

She can speed up the growth by tricking it to produce sooner, but as soon as she stops using her ability, it goes back to its normal growth rate. This is not instantaneous. She must maintain connection with the plant for about ten minutes and do this process for at least three days. After a three day period, there is a very notable difference in the plant and it will produce much sooner and in greater quantities than any plant in a normal growth cycle. She cannot speed up this process in one day and expect to get seeds as it’s just not possible. Physical attributes of the plant are being changed and any faster would result in the combustion of the plant. Consider this ability much like a super-powered fertilizer that takes time to be absorbed and react with the plant.

Weaknesses include only being able to do this on about three to five plants, each at ten minutes which count up to 30 – 50 minutes of using her energy. Also results in headaches, dizziness, light headed, nausea, hunger, weakness, and energy drain.

Strengths: Her abilities make her in tune with her environment. She feels at home in nature and her powers are not limited when in the city. Where there is nature, there her power will exist and be able to be used.

Weaknesses and Limitations: Must be emotionally stable at all times. Any stress or anxiety will cause her to not use her powers, or have her powers go out of control. Other weaknesses include headaches after prolonged use, exhaustion, and sleep deprivation.

Physical Abilities

General Physical Capabilities: Is strong due to working in a barn, but has limited endurance. Revan is not professionally trained in any sort of physical combat with or without weapons. She watches a lot of videos on it, but she has not yet put it into practice. Revan's strength, speed, and other physical capabilities are all average.

History Of Your Character

Revan was only sixteen when she finally noticed any sort of mutant power she had developed. Originally, Revan thought she had an ability to connect with plants and able to talk to trees like old friends. Most thought of it as the imagination of a young child or a strong relation to nature itself. She lived in Seattle, Washington at the time and was operating as a security officer and photography business owner to help bring income. She had graduated with her associates and bachelors in Criminal Justice and was looking at working a career as a park ranger or part of Fish and Wildlife.

While initially Revan had received her powers at thirteen years old and they came in waves, starting with just hearing little noises from plants in her head and others moving when she came close, Revan's powers developed more when she turned twenty and went on a hike in the Mt. Rainier National Forest. She subsequently went camping there as a wild adventure she decided to go on. One night, she developed a serious migraine she thought was the result of the elevation. However, when she began to feel different emotions when she touched trees and was near different plants. When she hovered a hand over a fern, it danced with joy.

Being Revan was pagan, she meditated and did different rituals to see if her third eye was opening or she was simply connecting to the environment. Whatever it was, she was not afraid of it and decided to stay in the forest longer to figure out how to control it.

When Fish and Wildlife was patrolling the forest found her talking to some trees as if they were replying to her. They thought it was strange and were suspicious. Especially since no one was supposed to be camping out here in the first place. When they saw her sticking her arm into the tree, they decided to investigate. When they brought out cuffs and started yelling at her, she listened to the whispers instructing her to "jump inside" and when she did, she found herself coming out of a tree outside of her home. That was the end of it - there was something about her that was different and Revan believed it now.

Revan was still amazed by her abilities. She decided to do some experiments to figure out the limitations of her powers. While she found out they were not as effective as in the city, it seemed if she was out in the wild then she had full use of her abilities, but not without her limitations. Now Revan was traveling to different places all the while discovering her abilities, in hopes eventually that she would be able to understand their full potential.

The sunrise finished rising in the sky when Revan put her camera away. Since coming to New York, Revan had seen some amazing places and things that she wouldn't have seen in Washington. For example, the number of cars and pollution that seemed to exist. It was amazing that with todays technology that nothing was done to solve the pollution problem. It seemed to have been a fight with big oil companies and renewable energy companies. Revan hoped it would be figured out eventually.

With a heavy sigh, Revan returned to New York to finish up her vacation before going to the next place. Revan typically stayed in one place and moved every few months. The intent was to determine the limitations of her abilities as well as to strengthen them in places that they were weakest. For this trip, it was in New York to assist with her Nature Sense and Animal Empathy. While there were no wild animals to connect with, dogs and cats seemed to make an interesting conversation. The zoo, however, was something different.

Big cats did their usual behavior where they were aloof. Apes of all sizes were too distracted by everything going on to pay attention enough to her or began to make fun of her. Bears usually lost themselves in stories about combat, and hyenas couldn't stop laughing or joking. Any animal she talked to at the zoo gained her a lot of sideways looks from visitors. Regardless, everyone had something to say. She couldn't talk to animals behind glass - well - because of the glass. Animals in water also made it difficult because she hadn't developed the ability to talk to them telepathically yet in the city. There was too much going on.

For now, Revan went back to her apartment to take migraine medicine as she was reaching her limit. Eventually, after a nap, she would have to go on a drive to escape the city for a while and relieve her of this headache. Sometimes she wondered why she moved here because of the results of living in the city with her powers. For now, she could at least check it off of her bucket list to say she visited.
