The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I could get quite used to that, yeah," he murmured, scooting closer to her as well. "And while you're here, you can pretty much have free reign," he said with a shrug. He gave a chuckle when she'd mentioned his music; so she'd found his collection, and his more...guilty pleasures.
"Hey, everyone has a guilty pleasure, right?" he asked with a slight chuckle. "There's some Elton John and some Whitney Houston in there too, if that's more your style," he said, sticking out his tongue as he spoke, sliding even closer. "Or do you not have anything like that?" He winked.
”Good to know,” Lee said with a smile seeing that Jason was moving closer to her as well. ”And if I keep coming over after the bar like this, I’ll almost have no choice except to wear one of your shirts. Because I’m not going to want to get back into my bar clothes while you sleep.” Lee looked over at Jason as she tugged on the collar of the shirt slightly. ”Because this is so much more comfortable.”
Did everyone have their guilty pleasures? At first, Lee didn’t think so, but then she remembered a couple bands that she had loved listening to, but that definitely couldn’t be classified as any kind of rock. And that she normally would never tell people about listening to. ”Oh no, not for me, though I did see those in there.” But then she saw him stick his tongue out at her, and Lee couldn’t help but laugh.
”And what if I don’t have anything like that?” She asked before she had completely stopped laughing at Jason. ”And if I did, you’d have to work a lot harder to get it out of me,” she finished with a wink of her own.

"Fair enough. And this means I don't have to change venues after all. As long as that one asshole doesn't come back. But...if he does, I turned my dog on him," he said, his voice going from sweet to a little instructive as he told her his plan for dealing with that guy should he tell anyone about what happened. Though he thought that guy was part of the reason she was home with him now...he sort of wondered if not for that, would she have noticed? Not that it mattered; after all, what mattered was right now.
"If not music, I'm sure you have something," he murmured as he leaned a little bit closer to her, but not quite enough to close the distance. Then he winked again, leaning just a little closer so he could whisper. "You forget. Getting information is what I do." Then, he kissed her, albeit more passionately than the other ones had been.
Lee smiled slightly when Jason said that he wasn’t going to have to find another bar after all. Lee figured that he would have already known that. But then Jason’s voice changed slightly and Lee’s smile disappeared. ”Of course,” Lee said softly with a nod of her head. ”Do you really think that I’d say it was actually you?”
Lee simply shrugged at Jason’s next words, though she smiled as she noticed him leaning closer to her. But before she was able to respond to anything that Jason was saying, Lee felt him leaning closer, felt his lips pressing against hers. And he was kissing her.
Almost at once, Lee could feel her heart beating faster, her breath catching in her throat. A moment later, Lee was leaning toward Jason, leaning into the kiss even more.

"I know you wouldn't rat me out, but it's good to make sure our stories match," he murmured. He practically melted into the kiss for awhile, pressing against her as his hands slid up the shirt she was wearing to rest on her bare back. After a moment, he pulled back, resting his head on her shoulder for a moment as he smiled, just enjoying this for a moment.
"Well, you do know another secret of mine now," he said with a smirk. "Logic would say...you owe me one. Make us even," he said with a sly wink.
The moment that Lee felt Jason’s hands on her bare back, she both shuddered and moaned slightly against his lips. But then he pulled back and just rested his head on her shoulder for a few moments. And while he seemed to be relaxing, Lee simply sat there and tried to get her breathing back under control. Not the easiest thing to do considering Jason’s hands were still on her bare back.
”Oh, is that how this is going to work?” Lee asked, her voice a whisper, though she wasn’t sure it was steady even with its low volume. ”Who ever said any of this was logical? But if you want to know a secret about me,” Lee paused to try and make it appear that it was a big deal. ”I took singing lessons as a kid.”

"It doesn't have to be, but it was worth a shot," Jason answered with a slight shrug, a sheepish grin, and a shake of his head. "There's nothing logical about it," he whispered, his face only inches from hers, "But whatever this is we have going, and are working towards...I'm liking it already."
Then, she paused before telling him an actual secret, and the way she said it, it seemed like something she held close. She may have been overselling it, but he really didn't mind that much. "Really?" he said with a smile, his voice still soft as his heart raced in his chest. "I guess I'm not the only one who's full of surprises," he murmured with a wink.
Lee couldn't help the smile when she heard that Jason liked...whatever this was that they had. What they were working toward, trying for. ”I think I like this too,” Lee said, smiling wider as she looked the few inches over at Jason.
When she heard his questioning her about the singing lessons, Lee nodded with a wide smile. ”I’m sure I have plenty of other things that will surprise you,” Lee said, her smile widening. Then she closed the slight distance between them to give Jason a kiss.
