The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Jorge
Jorge liked power. Not that big of a leap to make when considering the man’s business (the providing of vices to the populace) as well as his shadier activities. Because of that, the man who silently went by the moniker of Poseidon made it a point to collect power wherever he could. Whether that be inviting like-minded mutants to joining his cause or ensuring that people in new positions of power were quickly pressed under heel. So long as someone could be of use to him, Jorge pulled out all the stops to ensure that they were on his side, one way or the other.
This month, a new CEO for a wildly successful banking firm had been announced, a Mr. Gregory Anton who had been heralded as a kind of saint amongst the people of his organization. For as entertaining as Jorge usually found such people to be, deep down, he knew that there was more than meets the eye. Whether Mr. Anton was a pure and innocent man, or simply a liar who kept his skeletons in the closet, Jorge didn’t know, but he would. All it would take was a little prodding in the right direction. Thankfully, today, he had the perfect bait.
The Atlantis Club was a hotspot in the city. On the outside it was a place where everyone could attend, where they could spend their money for a night that they wouldn’t forget. The music. The alcohol. The ambiance. It screamed a pleasure-driven time and promised people their wildest dreams. It was the kind of place that similar folks in Mr. Anton’s field would usually find themselves, wasting money that wasn’t their own in the casino, or carrying on illicit affairs with some of the more curvaceous beauties who worked the club. Really, there was something for everyone here and, if Mr. Anton had a weak spot, Jorge would find it.
Tonight Jorge made it a point to clear his schedule so that he could hold a “business meeting” with said individual. It just so happened that this new CEO would be heading an organization which Jorge used frequently. Already most of the company was in his pocket, but moves couldn’t be made until he had infiltrated every portion of it -- the last he needed was Mr. Anton safe and snug by the throat.
Walking down the smooth steps of the staircase, Jorge chuckled heartily at the thirty-something man at his side. He seemed a bit timid, but one does not get to be the CEO of such a company without having a bit of a backbone. If anything, he was probably was just a prude, a man inexperienced in pleasure-seeking because he buried himself in his job. That was good, that was something that Jorge could certainly work with. His arm around the man’s shoulder, he patted his back firmly as he led him towards the bar.
”Come along, my good man!” he said. ”As a long time client of your particular firm, I would be remiss if I didn’t at least offer the latest CEO a drink!”
“Oh...I...I don’t know,” the man said with a nervous chuckle. “I don’t ordinarily drink mid-week.”
Jorge would have none of it, instead leading the man towards the bar, in particular to spot where a certain, entertaining colleague of his was already waiting. ”Oh I won’t hear of it! There’s nothing wrong with having single drink, especially if it helps the cultivate the lasting friendship that I’m hoping for!” He grinned, clapped the man on the back again, and led him through the thick, dancing throng of people barring them from the bar. As soon as they broke through, Jorge conveniently made space for Mr. Anton directly next to his associate, a wonderful and teasing Ms. Selestina. ”Tommy!” he said to the bartender. Before he turned away, he gave Selestina a knowing smile, signalling for her to start her magic while he busied himself getting the drinks.
Selestina slammed down her Redheaded Slut. It was the only heavy drink she was going to have tonight – after all, she had a lot of work to do. It was just enough to get her breath enough alcohol on it to seem like she was just any other patron at the bar. Enough to not worry about failure – not that it was an option, anyways. He’ll think she was just an innocent mistake, a guilty fantasy that he accidentally indulged in. She smiled to herself as she stood, waiting, seemingly into the music that was echoing in the background.
She stood close to the bar, keeping her eyes out for Poseidon. She had some information about the heralded new CEO of what was its name? Not important, really, just a banking company. She skimmed through some on his profile – not enough to know about him like someone would, just enough to seem like an admirer. Maybe a fellow banking associate that heard about him. Maybe she’d even pretend she had no idea. In either case, Mr. Gregory Anton. Mr. Anton. Heh, so many strategies to decide once she finally caught a glimpse of him.
Considering the importance of the occasion (and the rarity of seeing Poseidon herself,) Selestina decided to go all out in her outfit for the night. She wore a tight, crimson red mini dress with a heavy emphasis on her breasts. Of course, also her *ss. He might be a butt guy, after all. She couldn’t let a big CEO guy (or Poseidon) down with something too classy, after all. While she wanted to impress the guy she was suppose to work on, she also wanted to impress her boss. Mmm.
Selestina knew when her time would come – she just had to wait for it. Like clockwork, she heard Poseidon over the sound of music, shots clanking, and girls and guys trying to sing. She gave a flirtatious smile in return to Poseidon as he went off after Tommy, the bartender.
Selestina knew how this gig worked – it wasn’t the first time she seduced a guy. It definitely wasn’t new territory for him to a business man. Although, banking was a new industry to hop into. She gave him a look over as Poseidon stepped away. She needed to figure some things about him out. He seemed kind of timid. Probably boring in bed, really. That was a bummer, she was hoping she could at least have some fun with the guy. He might’ve been married – seemed like it. Probably worked late nights, wife and the kids asleep. Probably unsatisfied, bored. Of course, all an assumption - a big stereotype that could easily be wrong.
She gave Mr. Gregory Anton an enticing, flirtatious smile as she sailed in front of him, letting her perfume hover near him. He was in a business suit, but Selestina made sure he almost felt her touch him. Just close enough for their body heat to hit. “Oh, hello there,” she murmured to him, “I don’t think I’ve seen you around here before… I’m sure I would have remembered you.” She made sure his focus would easily be distracted to her breasts and she leaned back against the bar, letting one of her legs nearly rug against his.
He nearly squirmed – it was always so much fun, the chase. Mr. Gregory Anton quickly muttered, “O-Oh… I am just on a business trip.” He seemed to nod, hoping that would be the end of their conversation. Selestina had different plans in mind. “Oh? A business trip? You’re the new CEO everyone has been talking about? I'm involved in the industry and... Absolutely love seeing your success. You are an inspiration.” Clearly a lie, but one to appease his inner side. She changed the subject slightly, not wanting him to start asking about her supposed ‘work’ place. “What is a guy like you doing here? I come here for,” she licked her lips, slowly glancing over him, “A good time.”
He was getting a little red – from blushing? “O-Oh, maybe we can talk after my meeting, yeah?” Selestina grinned like a lioness finding her prey: she had him.
