The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I do what I can," Ambrosia responded modestly. "There are so many mutants in need and so few people willing to help them. Mostly I just direct them to the resources that'll best help them, shelters, counselors, mutant friendly food banks and medical assistance, that sort of thing." That she even had to add the descriptor 'mutant friendly' in front of the words 'medical assistance' was a huge travesty but that was the world they lived in. A world where sometimes service was refused you simply because you happened to look a little different or have the wrong genes.
"One day soon I hope to get into school and actually become a social worker specializing in mutants. Don't get me wrong, I love music and love nothing more than to make people smile and forget about their worries for a while, but there's something satisfying about knowing you've made an actual difference in someone's life." Her parents had raised her well, giving her a strong sense of honor and responsibility. If you could help, you should help.
"I definitely look forward to the day we get to play together!" Enthusiasm coloured her words. "I think we could make beautiful music."

She did sound sincere as she talked and it was great to hear. Not only as information for the X's but in a general, people aren't all bad kind of way. Cait had more than enough hate thrown at 'her' on the news as a part of the masked vigilantes, some of the things that were said made even her doubt peoples ability to be good. Hearing someone being so modest about what was actually major help to people who needed it was really encouraging. "You shouldn't sell yourself so short, it's amazing you're willing to do so much for others, especially ones so easily abused by the public."
So, not only did she already do a lot to help mutants, her motivation for going to school was pretty selfless. Becca might not be convinced by only this much, but Cait was more than willing to believe Ambrosia was on the level. She wasn't too bad at reading people and the kind, young woman opposite struck her as genuine. "That's honestly really impessive, Ambrosia. I've not met many people who would want to do so much for people in trouble. We're usually pretty busy with work, but if you need live music for a charity event 'm sure we could help in one way or another. It wouldn't be the first gig we've done for a good cause."
"Don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything, or if you want to hang out. I am so looking forward to it as well." Getting more people to play with was always awesome.

"You're very kind to say so." Her cheeks reddened slightly. It wasn't that she discounted her own abilities, exactly, but more than she had high expectations of herself and others. Doing the work she did came naturally and she wouldn't be able to live with herself if she just let people in need walk by without at least trying to do something for them.
"Live musc for charity sounds wonderful. I've done some informal music to raise awareness before, but nothing official like that. I'm sure I can put something together." Her mind raced with potential ideas. Who knew the day was going to turn out to be so interesting?
"Hey, likewise the invitation is open to contact me for anything or for general hangouts. My schedule is often a little crazy, but I feel its important to leave time for fun in your life." She laughed in good nature. Her replacement should be arriving at any moment.

Charity do's where always great fun to do. People loved being there, they always had a great vibe and as a bonus, they did so much good for the causes they supported. "You have my information and I'm sure we would we be able to do it. As long as we have enough notice it's more than doable." Some charities had tried to pay them for their time, but it didn't feel right to take it. They were just happy to help. That and organisers tended to ply them with free food anyway.
"Oh I will, trust me on that. I can't wait to hang out with you as well." New friends were so fun! She was also really looking forward having someone else to play music with, and hang out, maybe even learn some dancing.
Checking the time and knowing she'd already spent a little too much time here anyways and she was sure Ambrosia didn't have all day just to talk to her. "I should probably get these actually bought, before it looks like I'm a very indecisive shoplifter." She also really needed to check out those Gaelic books.
Browsing through the books, a smile broke through at one regarding Cait Sith. It was just too perfect. "I just have to, considering the name." Everything together was a little more than she'd hoped, but today had been more than worth the cost.
"It's been so great to meet you. Next time we definitely need instruments."

"Hangouts and music will definitely happen soon." Making new friends was neat and definitely and underrated activity, all things considered.
"Let me help you get that ringed up." She grinned a the name reference. Cait Sith. Lol. What fun. Scanning the books into the computer, she quoted the money owed before accepting payment.
"Enjoy the books. Pleasure to meet you as well and I agree, instruments to happen soon." She watched the other woman walk out of the story and prepared for her won short trip home.
