MISSION SUMMARY: A telepathic contact has provided the (AV!) X-Men with information regarding a cry for help. Using this information and some advanced reconnaissance, the team has narrowed the point of origin to fenced-in facility outside of the city.

With recent reports of disappearing mutants, (reports which have gone largely undocumented by mainstream media sources,) this has been deemed worth investigating. Intel suggests the “laboratory” may be heavily guarded.

This is a rescue mission, but it is also an opportunity to understand what the X-Men are dealing with. As such, the team will be split into two mission teams: Blue Team and Green Team. “Red Team” would be surveillance, support, and comms, assuming this “Team” is more than one person.

MISSION LOCATION: A laboratory under the ownership of an organization the X-Men are currently unaware of. While not the “main SUPER lab,” this offshoot still consists of two floors, one subterranean, and both twenty-five thousand square feet. Mostly populated by scientists, there may be SUPER agents present within the facility, either as security or on assignment. There may be certain areas that require various forms of security clearance or identification to access.

The area is fenced off with designated gates as the main method of entry onto the campus. There are several Humvees on site outside of the lab.

MISSION OBJECTIVES: Blue Team will be tasked with recovering the kidnapped mutants. The number of mutants has not been determined, and the location of these captives within the building has not been narrowed down, but the lack of clarity in the telepathic message may suggest they are being held on the lower level.
Blue Team will be led by Geo.

Green Team will be tasked with locating information that could help identify the group responsible for the lab, and any additional intelligence on this group that could be useful going forward.
Green Team will be led by Impact.

(Blue and Green Teams will work in separate threads to keep things orderly and convenient.)

Red Team will operate outside of the facility, providing support and surveillance, remaining on comms for both groups.

(Red Team is the one Team that can post in either thread if a need arises.)

NON-X-MEN: There may be opportunities for Player Character SUPER members who may wish to make an appearance in this thread to some capacity, whether they are security, on assignment, or there to hit on one of the scientists. (I don’t know your life.) PM me directly on my Rebecca Grey-Morris account if you are interested.

Likewise, if you would like the AV!Version of a character to be part of the captive mutants being rescued, PM me. (This category will be more limited so the X-Men are not leaving with a bus-worth of mutants.)

Cait would totally be up for it. She'd prefer to be in the thick of the action, but stick her where you think she should go. I'm good with either.

Infernal may be new but he has already got a lot of in field experiences, so, put him on whatever team you think he would be good on.

Hi Karrl, at this time this is a plot taking place in the Alternate Verse with characters in that Universe, and the teams themselves are open to the current X-Men of the AV.

If anyone would be willing to try something a little less conventional, I could have Doc proctor a mission using his bugs and long distance communication to guide people through a location and identify where threats are.

Team Assignments have been designated! Expect a starter to be started by your leader in the near future (once I coordinate with Geo.) Also ignore that I accidentally assigned Rebecca to the wrong team initially. Totally intentional, totally fixed now.

I will be reaching out individually to our Red Team to talk to them about how they'll play out in all this.

I will also be contacting the SUPERs interested in making appearances and Captive Mutants.
