The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was interesting watching Daydream go to work. She seemed to be seeing things and angles Geo hadn't thought of. He contently watched as she worked, making sure to look away from the camera when prompted to. As he let his hair down he shook out some loose sand that had built up in his hair. A constant problem for years now. Fighting a losing battle. He grew visibly more excited when she gave him permission to kick it up a notch. Without a second thought the ground under him rose up, lifting him to gently step onto the rock with minimal effort. Turning to face the girl.
"Happy to oblige." He focused his pull on the stone beneath his feet. It was a new trick he had been working on. He didn't really like heights so it wasn't something really practical as much as showy. It took a moment but the stone lifted off of the ground lifting himself along with it. The elemental tried to maintain a cool exterior as the ground dropped beneath him. He held it steady when he reached roughly five feet above the ground.
Careful to keep his hold stable he slowly began to break away at the rock beneath him. Bit by bit it crumbled away. As chunks fell away Geo caught them up in his hold as well, keeping them in a steady orbit around where he floated. He continued this again and again until he stood on a thin shard of the stone surrounded by a flurry of broken down stone that continued to crumble into smaller pieced.
As he started to get more uncomfortable with the distance he lowered himself down slowly, resting the stone slab he was standing on in the soft dirt. The elemental heaved a great sigh as he let the stones fall around him. Taking a moment to run his feet in the dirt he basked in the feeling of solid ground beneath him.
"There's sorta two aspects I can work with." Geo explained as he rolled his shoulders, centering himself back in the clearing they were using. "There's the part where I control the earth. I speak and she listens, it's like moving a limb." Holding out his hands he bunched the stone back together. They rumbled and crunched as Geo pressed them back into a rough shape it originated from. Rolling it to the side Geo placed a hand against it, using it to hold himself up as he crossed his leg against his opposite shin. As he spoke he admired Daydream in her element. He fiery red hair shined in the open daylight.
"Then there's the part where I am earth. I'm a part of it, made up from the same stuff from what I've found out. But I can add to it." Reaching over as he stood straight Geo reached over and pulled off a piece of the stone, easily as tearing off a piece of clay. Taking the handful he pressed it into his opposite hand. The material crunched as it built onto his hand. The gray solid rock merged into his flesh, adding to it and building on top of it. He held out his arm to display it for a moment before gathering the sand around him to fill in the rest of his golem formed arms. At full length his knuckles now nearly dragged on the ground and doubled his width. He hoisted the limbs up, flexing both dramatically in an impressive massive display of stone.
Reaching over Geo picked up the boulder in his hands, lifting it as though the weight was near nothing. With a bit of balance, and some terrakenisis though Geo'd never admit it, he held on hand as high as he could above him, allowing the other to drop. With one arm he held the large boulder above him for a moment before letting it fall back behind him. As it hit the ground harmlessly and rolled away the material crumbled away from Geo's arms leaving them at their normal state.
The elemental strolled over to the photographer, throwing a dusty arm over her shoulders as he flashed he a toothy smile.

Daydream stood there. She had to actually remind herself to take the photos when Geo was on display doing things that she hadn't even thought possible. When he asked her if she had any requests she began to stammer. "I...Uh...No, no i thank that was pretty good. I thank i got everythang i need." Day couldn't find the words to describe how amazing that had been. He was definatly a mutant you didn't want to piss off. She realized that there were facets to his game that she hadn't even realized and his power was massive. She watched as he had settled back into his normal form. She had gotten the pictures she needed for her article.
Geo didn't seem like the type to show modesty and he didn't. Not really, he had gone above and beyond to wow her. Mission accomplished. She was wowed. Daydream turned off her camera and hung it back around her neck. "Can't see the pictures though til the article comes out." She never looked at her own pictures til she was going through and choosing what to send in. Not unless they were personal pictures. Libby. She thought in the back of her mind. Truth was, she was so neurotic that she would just dissect the pictures until she convinced herself she hated them. There was no bigger critic of her own work than she was. And yet, she had worked on some really big projects. She worked for the magazine, she had her photos in galleries and studios hanging on display among the art. When Geo called her Warhol it may have been a joke, but she was an artis. Daydream simply considered herself a photographer.
Daydream smiled and tried not to show that her heart had sped up with his arm over her. He was like a flame. Nice to look at, but don't touch. Chewing on her lip she gingerly slid his arm off of her shoulder and started to walk. Not because he made her uncomfortable, but because how nice it had felt. She had all these people in her head battling for her attention, her emotion. Libby, Emily, Tristen. She wasn't a bad person. She didn't go around falling into flings with strangers, but she kind of did. She had fallen for Emily quick and hard. She met a boy on the beach named Max and kissed him. Her and Emily weren't defined as an item yet, but still, she wore her heart on her sleeve.
Daydream was so not used to affection that anytime someone showed her some she clung it like a woman dying of thirst in the middle of the Sahara. It was foolish really. Her skin got hot and flush, her heart began to flutter. She felt a weightlessness that seemed to wash over her like a calming aura. "I.." Her voice caught in her throat. Why is this happening? She wondered. He was handsome. Very handsome. Charming, kind, protective......Honest....... Suddenly she felt his finger drawing down her back. She felt his breath on her skin as he pulled her closer, drawing her nearer.... Wanting her nearer. Daydream closed her eyes and cried out. It was more of a squeak. A choked cry of wanting that just barely escaped her throat. Her hot skin grew hotter, her breathing shallow and panicked. She wanted to stop it, but she didn't want it to stop at all. Her conscience was screaming, along with her body. Though the messages were contradictory. Daydream's hands rushed up his shirt over his smooth, sandy rough body. His body was so hard and firm. Like stone. Daydream chewed on her lip. She wanted to sink her teeth into his neck."Hey you guys can't be in here!"
Daydream looked up. None of that had happened. Her fevered mind had rushed into a sinfully delightful dream. She felt her heart sink and she quickly looked at Geo before.... "Hey did you hear me?!?!? I said scram!"
It was one of the construction workers who came back to check on something at the site. He had stumbled across two pedestrians standing there where they shouldn't be. He had missed the rock show, and what a show it was. Daydream looked over at the voice chastising them. "Sorry we're goin!" She said and dragged Geo by the hand out of the construction site. As they fled her mind wandered back to that wonderfully sweet, yet terribly wrong moment. Geo's wrong.... I am a bad person. she thought. With a small smile quietly growing on her tingling lips.
"Spoil sport." Geo teased as Daydream tucked her camera away and shrugged off his arm. Tucking his hands into his pockets he stood admiring her for a moment while her back was turned. It was fun to get too see her at work. The girl he had assumed at first to be some sort of nosy P.I. types had turned out to be a tried and true artist. At least in Geo's opinion. The way she orchestrated the shots and angled the camera it was hard to not watch her directly. Gorgeous, sweet, braver than she realized and an artist to boot. This girl was definitely the whole package. It was a shame she was taken, a younger Geo wouldn't have been hindered by such information but he was trying to turn a new leaf.
Geo stepped forward as her voice caught in her throat though stopped dead in his tracks at the sound of another voice. A worker, up by the foremans office yelling down at them. A snarl formed on Geo's face at first. Ready to give the human a piece of his mind though he stopped. Looking over to his companion he let the look drop from his face as she called out to him. When she grabbed his hand to drag him away he added.
"Won't happen again sir!" He let out a hardy laugh as they exited out the opposite side, where they had came from. As they made their way out of the blockade Geo held Daydream's hand tight as long as she allowed him. They fell into pace with the street easily, fading back into the faceless crowds of New York. Once they were a block away Geo pulled her into a small notch in an old brick building housing a iron barred door. Away from the crowd they could actually talk for a moment. It was impossible to try and communicating the bustling streets of New York.
"Okay now it's my turn. I'm going to show you my favorite spot in New York." Walking out into the street Geo hailed a cab, careful to keep his legs behind a parked car. It was hard to get a cab when they thought you were homeless. It only took a few minutes before a yellow sedan stopped for them. Holding open the door for Daydream Geo followed in after her. Once settled he pulled himself up to the plexiglass.
"Liberty State Park my good man." Falling back into the seat he turned back to the redhead flashing her a wink.

Daydream honestly didn't mind when she felt his hand slipping into hers. In fact, she quietly revealed in it. His hand felt rough and strong. Course against the softness of her own. She quietly laced her fingers into his as they walked and did her best not to let her mind stray again. Still, she kept stealing little glances. It was amazing how quickly she had forgotten about her problems whenever Geo was around. If only she could get her problems to stop chasing her.
Moving through the sea of people was loud. She had to turn her head towards him to even hear what he was saying. It was the noise of the city. Something she still wasn't 100% used to. It wasn't like Georgia. She remembered days when her father was drunk passed out and she would sit on the porch and just daydream for hours. She remembered the warm summers sitting on her porch just thinking of what it would be like not to have a mutation, how she could fall in love and be happy and.....
Without warning Geo pulled her in another direction. They slipped inside of an old brick building. Some brownstone probably, they were standing in the entrance way away from the world. With enough privacy to make her knees buckle. He was standing in front of her. Face to face. She had to restrain herself from reaching out for him. She wasn't going to make the first move. Her trembling fingers clawed at the wall behind her. Her head tilted back against the wall. Her mouth hung agape showing the slightest bit of her sparkling white teeth hidden behind a soft shade of pink pedals. Daydream's hair fell over her eyes. Her big brown eyes staring at Tristen through strands of fire. The oversized t-shirt that she borrowed from the sanctuary had slipped down revealing part of her pale freckled shoulder. Her skin was crying to be touched and she didn't know why. Why was she suddenly feeling this way.
She had to fight back the urge to press her lips into his without cause. Why are we standing here? Did he want a moment alone with me? Her heart sped up. I shouldn't be thinking this. This is wrong. This is.... "Ok it's my turn. I'm going to show you my favorite spot in New York." She shuttered and her clawing fingers relaxed. The muscles in her hands ached from the tension of her fingers clawing the wall. That was.... Intense. But it wasn't at all what she thought was going to happen. She forced a smile and nodded before they slipped back out and hailed a cab.
Daydream climbed in and sat herself against the far window. Maybe it would be better to give herself a little space. Close proximity to Geo seemed to get her into trouble. She leaned her head out the window and watched life go by. People walking, driving. Mostly honking at the cars in front of them. New York was the city of dreams. Her dreams were causing her to question everything. Was that wrong?

She was quiet. At least she had seemed so since their photo shoot had ended. The Taxi was approaching the park. It had been a few minutes they were driving while Daydream seemed preoccupied with something else. In another world or something. Though he supposed that was the nature of who she was. He thought that he had trouble staying in his own head. This girl had that to the most literal of degrees. He couldn't imagine what it was like to just be awake mentally at all times. That had to be taxing on the mind, everyone needed to reboot now and then.
The elemental watched her from the opposite end of the cab. He studied her features as she watched the bustling city around them. It had been fascinating to him as well when he moved from his Mid-Western life. This little Georgia peach was far out of her element. Though she seemed to be adapting. As best as a young mutant could adapt to the world they lived in today. He had to remind himself that there was still much more he hadn't known about the woman. They had only known each other thirty six hours tops. Though it felt like it had been much more. Time seemed to hold still while this beautiful woman was in his life. He hadn't found himself doing much aside from wandering the streets when he had first came back to the city. But she gave him something else, for some reason he felt more purpose while she was around. Like he was useful, more than just a weapon in a war.
She was just as breath taking as ever just sitting against the bland black seat of the car. It took a lot for him to refrain from his usual advances, especially in such enclosed quarters. Daydream was there within arms reach, an enchanting creature who seemed to carry the world along with her. Geo sated himself with simply being in her presence. It figured that the first woman he comes across who captivated him in such a way was spoken for. The thought pushed into the back of his mind as the massive metal structures gave way to lush greenery.
Liberty State Park was not like some of the other Parks in New York. Though it was still spotted with trees the majority of it was made up of wide open fields that ran all the way to the waterline where they met the open water separated by a railing. The sun sat low over the water, causing the surface of the bay to glisten. Out in the distance on a small chunk of land between New York and Jersey stood the Statue of Liberty. As they came to a stop Geo slipped some money into the box on the plexiglass and stepped out. He turned to hold a hand out to help Daydream out as they stepped into the crisp air of the waterfront. Here the air of the city wasn't quite as thick. Wafts of fresh air blew in from the open water, bringing with it the scent of the sea and the squawk of annoying waterfowl.
"You feeling okay Dreamboat. You seem distracted" Concern crossed his face as he shot an inquisitive look at the bombshell.

Daydream slid out of the cab and offered him a smile. It was the best she could do. Her mind was distracted. Some things were better left in Pandora's box, but still she dreamed. Her eyes took in the new surroundings. She could see why Geo liked the place. The lush green the smell of the fresh air rushing into her lungs. The air in the city hadn't smelled this good, but this air smelled so nice she took another breath. "No, I'm ok just worried." She lied. It wasn't what was on her mind. It wasn't what had her mind twisted in knots and butterflies fluttering in her stomach. It was him. She would never admit it.
Daydream began to walk and admire the park. It was beautiful. The open fields, the way the water seemed to dance and move with light, sparkling like a precious jewel. Daydream's thumb found the power button for her camera and flicked it on in silent awe. She was never super into nature, but she found peace here. It was like a soft blanket of tranquility had wrapped around her. The tension faded, the worry faded. Thoughts of sexual tension faded and left her with only peace. "You come here a lot?" She asked without even bothering to turn to Tristen. Daydream raised her camera and shuttered a photo of the water singing to her. The sparkling refraction of light reflecting the low hanging sun. The water was cast in an orange ish glow.
Wait. How long had we been at breakfast? How long was the cab ride? How long had we been walking? Thinking back she realized that she was missing a good chunk of time. Her fragile mind hadn't added it all up, but every moment was accounted for. It was the fits of daydreams that were stealing chunks of her day without realizing it. A few moments here a few moments there, but over the course of a day it adds up. She found herself missing at least what felt like two hours. They had been at breakfast around noon. That had lasted a few hours while they ate and sat and talked after.
Then they went to the constructions site and did the photo shoot. How long did that take? Then the walk through the city? The cab ride? She hadn't blacked out. She hadn't REALLY lost any time, but it felt like her day had skipped like a scratched cd. She was on a track later in the evening when half of the day was skipped over. She didn't realize that her daydreaming was such a problem and she still didn't realize. Daydream allowed the worry to fade from her mind as she stepped up to the railing and looked out over the water. Raising her camera she took a few more pictures as the wind kicked up. A gentle breeze pushed her hair around her face in a beautiful dance of frenzied fire. Her soft expression admiring the beauty of Tristen's favorite place in the world. She could see why.
"It's beautiful." She said. Her words spilling from her lips like dripping honey. It was like she softly exhaled a dream, her modest words wrapped in a sensual tone. She wasn't trying to be seductive she was awestruck. Daydream turned to face Tristen. Her eyes started as his chest and moved up until she was making eye contact. She studied him a moment. Raising her camera she took another picture of Tristen. It caught him off guard and he had no way posed for that one. It was honest. It was pure. It was Tristen. That picture wasn't for her editor, or the magazine. It was for her and her alone. Daydream actually did look at the photo this time. Looking down at her camera which still hung from her neck she smiled. She still seemed quiet like she was trapped in a dream she couldn't wake up from and she was wandering the world experiencing it for the first time.
Daydream ran her thumb over Geo's lip on the screen of her camera. She wanted to touch his lips, but this was the closest she could do. She was smiling. "You take a good photo." She said softly. Reaching across her body she used her left hand to tuck her hair that was flapping around; behind her right ear on the opposite side. The big collar of the shirt had slipped again revealing her soft shoulder again. She didn't notice. Despite the sun making it's evening descent it was still quiet warm out. The soft breeze making the weather perfect, sublime. Daydream knew that she was never going to go back to Georgia. There was nothing left for her there. Nothing worth staying for at least. She planned to make New York her permanent home. This was her home now. She turned and faced the water once more admiring the view. Admiring the soft squawk of the waterfowl.
Purple text = Dialouge White text = Awake Light pink text = Dream walking *Chat Alias* Melody (Daydream)
Worried. A frown twisted onto the elemental's face as he looked to his companion. He was hoping that the circus would escape her mine through the day. It wasn't something that they had to worry about yet, there was still time until he went to go knocking on their door. But he couldn't blame her. There was a mutant hunting freak show that wanted to recruit them. One way or another. Her being lost in thought certainly wasn't making it any better. He decided to let the topic slide.
"On occasion. Only been here a few tine since I got back. But I don't come here for the park." Turning back he realized that Daydream had snapped a photo of him. "No, you take a good photo." He rolled his eye at her before turning back to guide her along with him, his hand pressed slightly on the small of her back. They made their way towards the water. As the time was getting later the park was more scarcely occupied, there was only a few other people walking the waterfront besides themselves. Geo stopped at the railing.
He couldn't help but get a familiar eerie feeling from the water before them. He could feel the ground drop off before him, leaving a void. Blank space where he simply felt...nothing. But what was beyond the water was what held his direction. The copper statue sitting out in the water seemed so small from where they were but to Geo he could see it like it was yesterday.
"There." He pointed out to the Statue of Liberty out on the glistening water. "This is as close to her as I like to go. She reminds me of the first time I fully embraced who I am. A mutant. It was right after they started hording mutants into camps. Group of us went on a joy ride and..." Absently he sent a stone sailing out into water making a satisfying noise as it hit the water. It was subtle, nothing that would get picked up on. Watching the ripple though he shuttered at the thought. He'd had several encounters with the most terrifying aspect of his mutations. Water was something that instilled great dread in him. Poetically enough it surrounded the monument he held to that very ability.
"It was a different time...but it that moment I knew who I was. You know?" His voice trailed off as he spoke. Looking from the gilded lady on the water to the beauty next to him he couldn't help but smile slightly. The burnt golden light of the lowering sun caught against her pale skin in a way that took his breath away.

Daydream watched him cast the stone into the water. He seemed. Lost. Her soft features turning downward in a frown of her own. She hated this. She hadn't known a moment where he wasn't filled with a cocky bravado. A unjustified arrogance and pride. In the short time she'd known him it had grown on her. It was annoying when she first met him, but his confidence had been her lifeblood. His confidence had been her confidence throughout the last thirty six hours.
Daydream listened as he spoke. Listening intently she still wasn't sure what he was talking about. Truth be told Georgia was bad on it's own with the mutant problem. But she never had gone through the mutant registration act, or the gathering of mutants for camps. She was busy in Georgia watching old fashion lynch mobs take care of the problem in the darkest ways possible. The darkest chapter in the countries history was repeating itself there. Mutants torn from their homes for a good old fashion Lynching. It's one of the reasons she was so terrified of being discovered as a mutant. One of the reason, up until she reached New York so few people knew her secret. Though admittedly that all happened when she was much younger. When she was first discovering her powers around eleven years old.
When Geo asked if she knew what he meant she nodded. Though, she had no idea what he was talking about. She nodded slowly at first then quickly nodded her head in enthusiastic agreement. She didn't know what she would do if Geo suddenly became someone who questioned himself. Someone who wasn't sure he could beat the world. She was counting on him to be the voice of unreason. To be the whispering voice in her ear that assured her that everything was going to be ok.
Her hands found the railing and she hoisted herself up. Her back was to the water as she was looking at Geo. Sitting on the rail the wind blew again. Her hair furiously protesting being kept neat and tidy. She looked to the sky. It was getting late. Her eyes settled on Geo. The hard lines of his face told a story. They told a story of a hard life that had seen many battles. It told the story of a man who was tired of fighting, but knew no other way. It was the sadness that she saw in his eyes that caused her pause. It was the stagnant remorse and thoughtful nostalgia that broke her heart.
"Tristen?" She spoke softly. Her voice was only more than a whisper that barely dared to carry over the soft blowing wind. Daydream's expression serious and sympathetic. "I don't know what kinda demons'r tearing ya up, but ever since I known you. I've known you as nothing less as a man of honor and integrity." She didn't know if he was going to shrug her off or not, but she continued. "I've seen mutants get dragged from their homes in the middle'o the night and strung up while folks cheered. Like it was some great service they were doing the world for killin mutants. I've seen children ripped from their mothers arms while the mother stood there and watched; too afraid to save their child. You did the right thing Tristen. You fought for us. For all of us....." Her eyes cast down. She was suddenly ashamed that she hadn't done any fighting on the behave of mutants in dark times. Her hands fiddled with the hem of her shirt pulling at a loose thread like it was somehow vital.
"You fought for those of us who couldn't."
Daydream looked at Tristen. She wasn't crying but her eyes were quiet torture. Her lip shook like an iron bedframe during a violent nightmare. IN her eyes was all the thank yous she couldn't vocalize. She didn't know how he felt. He seemed conflicted about the part he played and the things he had done. To her though..... He was nothing less than her hero.
She made him nervous when she pulled herself up onto the railing. More out of his own knee jerk reaction than actual fear for her well being. A nervous glance was shot to the water though as she spoke his name she immediately had all his attention. A moment of realization came over him as it occurred to him that he responded to the name at all. He blinked at the thought before getting swept up in the sound of Daydreams voice.
As she spoke he looked up at her through his hazel eyes. She had an air of brilliance about her in the way she spoke even about the most horrible of their kinds history. Her words rang with an air of certainty that resonated with the elemental. Something told him that she would be just as effective writing the articles for her magazine as much as she was as a photographer. His stoic features bent into a smile as he watched her speak with her hair dancing in the air like a wild flame all it's own. Though she seemed to waver in her confidence as she came to a closing, her hands fidgeting with her clothing. The elemental chuckled slightly, meeting her gaze as she looked back again to him, pulling at this already heavy heart with her saddened features.
"I'm not torn up about the fighting. It was necessary. Had to be done to give the next generation a chance." He picked up on her being torn in her own dealings with the subject. Geo thought for a moment before reaching out to grasp her hands that played with her shirt. "World isn't full of soldiers Dreamboat. If it was the world would be a bloody place. We need writers, teachers, doctors sometimes even politicians." He paused for a moment. "We need dreamers." Reaching up to brush back some of the red hair that had switched course back into her face Geo ran his sandy hand along her cheek. Her skin felt soft and warm against his sandy hand. His hand didn't waver, holding firm to make sure he maintained her eye contact.
"Without dreamers like you there's nothing to fight for. Besides...who else is going to make me look good while doing it." His small smile beamed wide into a full blown grin. Pulling her hand to him he flipped it over to peck the back of it. She seemed to have a way of rousing the best out of him. She made him want to strive to be better. Be a better protector. Be a better mutant. Be a better person... He just had to figure out what exactly that meant to him. Not yet, but with any luck he would find his own path. The only thing that seemed for sure was that he had no idea what the future held. All he knew was that he wanted to be there, fighting for his people. That was his place.
"Just keep giving us a reason to fight." His thick voice spoke the words carefully and with meaning. Though he couldn't help but adding a quip. "But definitely keep those compliments coming. Flattery will get you everywhere Dreamboat." A practiced wink was lobbed at her followed by a playful chuckle.
A tear rolled down her cheek as she tucked her lips inward. It made her mouth seemed like a single line on her face. Though, that line was pointed upwards in a smile. It was wasn't tears of sadness she was shedding, but actually the opposite. Her heart was so full in that moment that she couldn't help but smile. Daydream hopped off of the railing and landed with a soft sound.
She was much shorter than Geo. He dwarfed her when they stood toe to toe. She looked up at him with the same bright innocent eyes that always saw the world in shades of rose tint. That stunningly beautiful, optimistic fool who thought the world was just a little less scary with Geo around. It was remarkable to her how much she had changed over the last day or so. Her views, her opinions, she had noticed that she was stronger than she realized, and weaker than she wanted to be. This of course was referring to her rampant daydreams that kept invading her mind like a runaway freight train.
The thoughts of something sinful and delicious that was on her mind more often than it should be. She couldn't do anything about that. It was attraction, it was fatal. It was the thing that made her feel alive and quietly killed her inside. She didn't think of herself as a bad person, but when she was around Tristen she found herself wanting to do bad things. For all the wrong reasons she wanted to do some very bad things. She had never been unfaithful. She never had someone love her enough to give her a chance to be. But she was now. She found herself there now.
Her lips tingles as she took a step forward. No one spoke. Neither of them dared to breathe. There was a tightening in her chest as it rapidly sped up. Her head tilted to the side. Her eyes fell closed. She knew she wanted this. But can I forgive myself? She couldn't stop thinking about this. Why would I want to? Every tiny step closer to him brought her a tiny step closer to the thing that would destroy her. It might be worth it. Daydream's eyes fell closed. Her hands ran up his arms. Fingertips gliding lightly against sandy rough skin. Her fingers danced their way up firm muscle as she took a step closer. Her body pressed into his. She stood on her tippy toes. Her body screaming at her to stop dreaming and start doing.
Then suddenly.....It began to rain. It started with a few drops that landed on Daydream's forehead. Big enough to make her pause and open her eyes. Within seconds it was a terenchal downpour. Daydream looked at Tristen. She didn't know what happened when he got wet. Her eyes went wide as she stared up at the quickly darkening sky.

The world seemed to slow down for Geo. It seemed like an eternity to him as she hopped down from the railing and crept closer to him. Her wide brown captivated his attention, locking gaze with hers. His breath caught in his throat, frozen in the moment. The soft skin of her lips seemed inviting as she drew her face closer to his. What were they doing? He hadn't wanted to be that person to get between two in a relationship. Not any more. But he felt drawn to Daydream. There was something magnetic to her, that suddenly seemed to make gravitate towards her.
Here this beautiful woman had fallen into his world. Only a day and a half between them and he found himself ready to jump into a den of wolves without a moments notice. Simply to make sure she could sleep soundly at night. His eyes closed along with hers, wrapped up in the euphoria of her fingers running along his arm. Wrapping and arm tightly around her the elemental pulled her closer. He was caught up in the moment. The feeling of her body against his, the heat of her breath meeting his. It was everything that he didn't know he needed and despite his inability to conduct electricity he felt a spark.
The spark was quickly extinguished as the sky opened up above them. He could feel the rain, more than against his skin. It was against the world around him. He could feel as the earth became numb, dampered by the moisture. As the raindrops hit his face it seemed to absorb quickly into his skin. More and more with each drop. They had barely had a moment of their eyes catching before Geo caught Daydreams knees. Hoisting her up in turn with the arm he had wrapped around her back he started in a full sprint for the closest thing resembling shelter from the sudden storm.
"Come on you gotta be kidding me..." Geo mumbled to himself as he padded through the increasingly more soaked ground. He could already feel his body starting to drink up the rainfall before the reached a wide awning covered in red fabric that blocked the rainfall. Letting her back to her feet Geo leaned into the wall, wide eyes examined the world around them as it slowly got soaked. His breath was quickened, struggling to catch up with the rush of panic and his sudden sprint.
The world was numb now. It was just him that he felt again, the water working to dampen his connection with the world. It was an eerie feeling. Like being an island in a sea of blackness. He had been so caught up in the moment that he hadn't been paying attention to the world around them. Looking back at Daydream blood rushed to his cheeks.
"Sorry. I...ugh...don't really like water." He shook what water he could from his hair as he looked to the beautiful redhead.

Geo shook himself off sort of in the way a dog who unwillingly got a bath would. Water flew every which way and Geo sheepishly proclaimed that he didn't really like water. Daydream had been worried that he would turn to mud and melt into the ground or that he would turn to clay or something and crumble apart. She didn't know how such things worked, but watching him shake of the water was a sight. She stood there a moment staring at him straight faced and worried. Then, she burst out laughing. It was so funny. Daydream had trouble catching her breathe as she doubled over holding her ribs. For some reason she pictured him as a little boy with his mother trying to get him to take a bath. All the while he screamed and kicked and cried 'No! I don't like water!' The absurdity of it was enough to bring tears to her eyes.
Somewhere off in the distance thunder rolled across the sky. The clouds over head were getting darker. Rain fall all around them and for the moment they seemed to b trapped under the awning. Daydream's wet hair clung to her face. Wet strands of muted red sticking to her forehead and dangling over her shoulders. She honestly loved the rain. The smell of it, the way it seemed to shroud even the mundane in a veil of curious wonder. She would sit and look out the window when it rained. It was peaceful to her. "We should call a cab" She said sitting down. The dispatcher said a cab would be out to them shortly there was one nearby in the area.
Daydream reached in her pocket and pulled out her cigarettes as she sat down on a bench under the awning. Lighting It up she handed one to Geo. Poor guy could use one. Blowing out the smoke she looked back out over the water. The calm surface disrupted by millions of ripples spreading out into infinity with every drop. It was later in the day now. They should get back to the sanctuary.....
It wasn't long before the cab showed up. Daydream knew he didn't like the water, but she grabbed his hand and drug him through the rain. It wasn't going to kill him afterall. She opened the door and allowed him to duck in first and she fell in after him. She started to laugh in the backseat of the cab. Glad to be out of the downpour. Neither of them had spoken about the moment between them. That one single fleeting moment when she nearly kissed him. Daydream wasn't going to ask about it, though she kept thinking about it.
It was getting darker now. The cab ride was mostly quite. Presumably both of them off inside their own heads trying to dissect what that kiss would have meant. Daydream's hand slid slowly across the seat. Her pale hand slipped inside his and it was warm. She knew she was making mistakes. She didn't care. Tristen was a beautiful mistake she would gladly make.
Her hand was only in his for a moment. She had only garnered the courage to reach out to the other side of the cab for him as the cab pulled up in front of the sanctuary. The rain had let up quite a bit during the drive. The pitter patter of drops on the roof of the cab had quieted down now. It was no longer the marching band drum line, but a soft tap. Daydream paid the cabbie this time and made a dash for the front doors of the sanctuary. She liked the rain, but not when she was wearing a white t-shirt. The shirt had fallen over her shoulder again and after so many times fixing it she just decided to let it sit like that. Her hair drenched making it look much more black than red. It was a stark contrast to the pale complexion of the young dream walker.
Geo watched as the smoke from the cigarette Daydream gave him spread out against the glass window. What had they been doing? They were obviously about to kiss but she was taken and he wasn't trying to be that guy any more. But as he looked at her across the cab he knew that the chemistry was real. He had seen too much to think a woman of that magnitude would walk into his life on accident. He flicked the cigarette out of the cracked window before rolling it up the rest of the way.
The rain made him feel uncomfortable as is. Even if there was dirt around that was still dry, in the cab, in the sole of Daydreams shoes. He couldn't even feel the rocks in his pocket with how much water he had absorbed already. It was an eerie feeling. One he didn't like. One that made him feel very...human. As his eyes were fixed out the window, dwelling on the unsettling feeling he felt Daydreams soft hand reach out to take his. Looking back to her he couldn't help but smile. Even soaking wet from being caught in the rain she took his breath away. He squeeze back at her hands embrace though the connection was short lived as they pulled up to the Sanctuarty.
Even though the rain had slowed down Geo moved with a sense of urgency. Rushing to the golden doors he kept Daydream in tow, only releasing her hand as they entered the dry lobby. Turning to her he simply flashed her a half hearted smile. Still deep in conflict over what to do. There was a part of him that wondered why he was even conflicted. He knew how he felt when it came to the red haired woman standing beside him. They had been together long enough to be fairly certain those emotions were authentic. But there was still the matter of Emily.
"We should ugh...get dried off. This water is killing me." He shook his hair once more though in vain, water tended to merge with him the moment he hit. Though the dampness of his clothes kept them tight to his fit form, his feet barring a menacing amount of mud. He wanted to reach for her hand again though as he went to do so he found himself stopping. Settling for strolling down into the halls by her side towards his room. He wanted to say something but for the first time in a long while he was at a loss for words. It wasn't until he made it into the room that he managed to muster up something. Peeling off his wet shirt and letting it fall to the ground Geo turned to face his companion.
"Daydream I know you have this..." He held his hands up to his chest as he struggled to find the right competition of words. With a great sigh he heaved his shoulders and tossed aside the notion settling for something else.
"Look I...I've been a way about things for a long while." Still the words were difficult. "You're different. You remind me who I want to be. What I want to do with my life. You..." His voice caught in his throat. Running a hand across his face he cleared the space between the two of them. As he came up to her his hands cupped the bottom of her face. Bringing her full lips to meet his he gently pressed into a kiss. Lingering for a moment before letting his hold fall and backing up to the window. Pulling it open he sat in the inside of the windowsill. Pulling out a cigarette he searched through his pockets, almost frantic to find a lighter.

Daydream was just a sweet southern girl way over her head. She had never been in this position. Where there were two competing for a place in her heart. Moving quickly through the lobby she realized there were eyes of them. She didn't care. More honestly eyes were on her. She was wearing a plain white t-shirt tha was soaked through. Her chest was visible for all to see, wet fabric clinging to her pale slender frame. That, she didn't realize.
Tristen seemed to be.... Quiet. She guessed that had been her fault. Moving through the halls her eyes fell on the carpet, the wall paper the light fixtures. Her eyes landed anywhere but his. She didn't want to see her hurt or rejection accusing her in his hazel orbs. She wanted him. In that moment, she still did but she didn't dare try that again. It had taken all of her courage to try it the first time, and the rain had stopped her almost like god was telling her to cut the crap. She stepped into the room and took her shoes and socks off first. They were filled with water. Leaning over slightly and using the bed to hold herself up she threw her shoes in the corner.
She knew her shirt was wet, but it still hadn't dawned on her that it was white. Daydream sat there a moment trying to think of something to say to fill the awkward void of silence, but before she could Tristen did it for her. She listened as he spoke. He failed to come up with words that were as meaningful as he wanted. Then his lips pressed into hers. It caught her by surprise. She thought for a split second to fight it, but her body never got the memo. Instead she melted into him. Her hand reached up. Her soft slender fingers curling around the hard line of his jaw as she cupped his face.
It was only a kiss. A silly little kiss that broke her. She felt legs giving out, but she stepped closer to him and that steadied her. She could taste a gritty dirt taste on his lips, but she didn't mind. Her eyes were closed. Forced closed by the passion of the moment. Daydream broke the kiss a moment and exhaled a shaky breathe against the line of his jaw and moved to kiss him again, but just as quickly as it was there, it was gone. It ended so abruptly that Daydream almost lost her balance as her eyes shot open. She stumbled a bit in surprise as Tristen moved to the window suddenly desperate for a cigarette. Daydream reached up and touched her lip. There were black specs of dirt against the soft shade of pink.
She ran her fingers across her lips that were still tingling from the thrill. She wanted to make sure that was real. To confirm that wasn't just another daydream and that had really happened. It had! The confirmation of that enough to buckle her knees completely. Daydream collapsed on the bed. Bouncing on it softly she sat there staring at the door. She didn't dare to turn to face Tristen. Her arms fell in her lap.
She crossed her arms around her waste. Her shirt was so see through at this point it might as well of had a window on it. The cold air of the room wasn't helping either. Daydream continued to stare at the wall. She felt a deep shame run through her. Not because of Emily. No, she hadn't even considered Emily yet. She was so wrapped up in this .... This.... thing between them, that Emily hadn't even come into consideration yet. She was still remembering the feeling of his lips against hers, the rough sandy feeling of his affection.. The cold unsettling feeling of his....rejection?
He didn't like it. She thought quietly. It was the only logical conclusion her mind could come up with. Daydream was often hard on herself. She didn't stop to consider that he might have other feelings, emotions, thoughts running through his head. When he broke it off she blamed herself in that moment and those tiny few moments were soul crushing. It was like having your soul removed with a rusty jagged hook. Then he spoke.
"You're the only one that makes me feel human." He said.
Daydream turned to face him. Her eyes cautiously looking at a man who who was clearly in need. She stood from the bed. She moved across the soft carpet in her bare feet. Everything in that moment seemed more vivid. The feeling of the carpet against her skin, the tiny panicked breathes, the voice in her head screaming at her, she tried her best to ignore them. To focus on what was important. Daydream moved over to Tristen. She took the cigarette from his lips and gave it a thoughtful puff. Dragging on the cigarette the moment seemed to last an eternity. She held in the smoke as she looked at the cigarette a moment before tossing the freshly lit cigarette out the open window. She knew what she wanted. Blowing out the smoke she reached up again, stood on her tippy toes and pressed her lips into his again forming a tight seal. Things were complicated. Life's funny like that.
The very notion of the concept was enough to send the mutant radicalist into a defensive shell. He hadn't thought of himself in that way for quite some time. It had been hard to. So much of his life was based around the hatred of the species, their actions towards those he cared for. The fact that he had even felt that way was baffling to him. He didn't think it would be possible and yet here he was. She had stirred something in him. Something he had laid to rest a long time ago. But what did it mean to him. To be mutant. To be human. His mind spit out the idea as quickly as it came.
It was preposterous. He had seen and done so much that worked against the very notion. Years of training, conditioning and acts of violence in the name of his kind. They had felt like gods. Bending the very world to their will to emblazon their place in history. It was a feeling like no other. You were untouchable, better than the normal folk you passed on the street. But here he was, roused with his very mortality. Drawn back to earth by the human nature this woman seemed to resurrect. When he looked to her he was shocked to see her standing before him.
He hadn't seen the woman move, too lost in his own mental process. His hazel eyes blinked down at her as she took the cigarette from his mouth. As it touched onto her own soft pink lips Geo looked her over. Soaked to the core and just as confused as he was she had never seemed so beautiful. He noticed her shirt, clinging tightly to her flesh. Form clearly visible beneath the material, hair damp and dark against her pale colored flesh. Looking at her it didn't matter that he was confused. That the world was changing around him and he was changing himself. All that mattered was the girl. When she threw out the cigarette Geo moved forward to meet her advances. Eagerly locking his lips onto hers, savoring the feeling he had just sampled a moment before.
He wrapped his arms around her tightly, aiding in her standing on her toes and pressing further into the thralls of desire. She tasted sweet, a nice change from the bitter dirt he was used to. Her scent captivated his senses and his strong arms tightened their embrace against her pale skin under the back of her soaked shirt. He could feel the moisture seeping into his bare chest, driving his abilities further way but he did not care. There was only him and her. The rest of the world was quiet. The wind blew in through the window, blowing both of their hair out of place and into their faces. Geo broke the kiss to brush back his own hair. As he ran his hand through hers he slowly ran his fingers back into her hair. He looked deeply into her eyes for a moment, simply taking in their beauty before pressing into her once more.
