The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Leon watched Rico bound off. He hesitated, then followed after. Honestly Rico's other form was scary as hell, only a fool would deny that. He wasn't completely sure why he was following outside concern, though he wasn't sure if it was for Rico or the people he was hunting. Leon started on two legs, but this soon proved insufficient to keep up with Rico, who was larger and had a bigger gait. So leon dropped to all fours and ran that way, which was far faster and allowed him to not lose Rico at the very least. He would have probably done better if he had used his nose, but he wasn't in the habit of using his senses, so it didn't occur o him.
He managed to arrive just in time to see Rico devouring something. At first he feared it was a person before his eyes picked up on the antlers. He let out a small sigh of relief, andfor the first time was glad he could see in the dark.
Then Rico made his threat, calling him out. A tingle of fear momentarily ran up his spine, making the spines on his back stand up, a few sticking through the fabric of his jacket. But at least he didn't run. Perhaps because of the nature of the threat, he compitulated, "Probably not a good idea," he said as he stepped out into view, Likely if he had run and Rico had made good on his promise, he would have found out first hand how painful his venom was.
The problem with his heat vision was it create silhouettes for his brain to receive. But details were simply non existent. Another milky film fell over his eyes and the body became translucent. Ghostly, the beating heart and the lines of the major artery's and veins all the way down to the capillary's all clear as day. With more focus even the bones could be seen. Almost like some super predatory vision. If there were weak bones or breaks. It would have been known. Even implants. But in in the end it did not matter as the wind shifted and he heard a voice.
"Probably not a good idea"
The shift in the wind confirmed the voice with the smell. "Leon?" Rico asked and shifted his body so nothing else could be seen. "I told you to stay at the mansion. Why did you not listen? You should not see this.... You should not see me like this."
Rico was more then a bit ashamed. Being himself with nobody watching always felt good. Not so much when he was being watched and judged. Kind of like picking your nose. His secret teacher just like him had told him by thoughts he should not care what others think. They were Ostroja. Ancient and proud. They are what they are and should embrace it.
But still. "They are alive." Rico said lowly. "Asleep. The fear took them. But they are alive and unharmed. We should go." He did not feel like finishing his meal. Not when being watched.

"You should not see me like this."
Leon wasn't particularly bothered by how Rico looked. Yeah he was as scary as hell, but he was in no position to say anything on that. "You turn into dragon and you eat meat, there are worse things." he said, as long as Rico wasn't eating people, he personally considered him more human then him. People hunted and ate meat all the time, unless that involved canibalism this was no different. He poisoned people, which was bad in any case. So yeah, Rico wasn't the worse monster here.
With Rico's next statement, he picked up on his discomfort. He had managed to upset him somehow. Just like him to make the wrong decision. It sounded like he was trying to convince him of something, or rather that he hadn't done something. "I can see their fine," he said, "If you don't want me here I can leave." he said, turning to leave Rico to whatever he was doing, he hadn't killed the guys, whatever else he wanted to do was obviously not something he wanted Leon around for, despite earlier invitations.
As he walked, his paw came down on something hard and metallic. He paused to see what he had stepped on. He saw a hunting rifle in the dirt, probably dropped by one of the hunters still a bit warm from having been fired recently. He contemplated picking it up, his mind momentarily going to a dark place. It happened sometimes, he considered it from time to time. Who wouldn't in his situation. He was alone and couldn't get close to people, and had to look in the mirror each day wondering if this was the day when someone was poisoned and died by his hands. But he pulled his thoughts back, as it had not happened yet. When it did... maybe then. He kicked the rifle away and kept walking slowly back towards the mansion.
"You turn into dragon and you eat meat, there are worse things."
At that comment a low rumble came to his chest and the creature looked to the passed out humans then back to Leon."You have no idea. In the end meat is meat." He did not know why the flesh of humans tasted better then anything else. But his secret teacher always told him that was just how things were. They were not quite animals, but not quiet human either. They were something else.
"If you don't want me here I can leave."
"I never wanted you to follow me in the first place. I told you to wait remember?" Rico replied took another bite from the animal carcass. As he was not watching Leon leave Rico did not see his secret teacher in question from appearing. Its body far larger then Ricos pushed its way through a tightly growing bunch of trees.
It intentionally moved in front of Leon to block his path and opened its mouth to snap it shut short of the mutant with a loud clack of sharp teeth. "Were do you think your going meat?" It spoke in human speech. The voice deep and masculine. This creature was as black as Rico in scales. But its horns were very long and had a wicked look about it. Way more impressive the stubs Rico called horns. When compared it was easy to see by there kinds standards. Rico was nothing but a child. No matter his human age. There bodies aged differently then that of man.
Rico darted his head in the direction and let out a strange sound. Almost like the warble of a bird. Approaching he said lowly to the other. "Not this one elder wing. Far to much trouble, very little meat. It will make for a poor meal. I like this creature. It amuses me." Though it sounded like he did not care with a monotone voice. Rico did. He just had to not upset this older and ancient member of his mutation variant. There was a culture and speaking as he did was considered proper.
The ancient wyvern seemed to think it over with some sharp clicking sounds and finally spoke. "Finish what you started boy." At that the larger creature bobbed its head in the direction of the sleeping hunters. "And stop speaking the language of the lesser races. The speech of there tongue is beneath us. We are Ostroja. Speak like one." From here on out when they spoke it was in a strange language. None that any linguist would ever understand. A complex combination of words and noises that no human mouth could produce.
Whatever was exchanged Rico lifted a foot and pulled a quill out from his clawed foot with his teeth. One of Leon's quills. "No wonder my blood feels on fire and my heart is racing." Rico said in English. His body was using up a lot of energy to fight the poison. At the rate it was going he would have choice but to eat the hunters to help fuel his recovery.
The large creature blocking Leons path stood aside and went over to sniff Rico over and the blood now slowing running out his nose. "Just leave us and go back to the mansion. Say nothing to the others. They would not understand anyway." It almost sounded like a order. But he said something that changed that. "Please."

Leon wasn't one to argue. Yeah, Leon had followed after Rico said not to, but out of concern since he didn't know Rico well enough to quage what he meant by 'hunt'. In future he wouldn't try. "My mistake..." he said as he conitued towards the mansion, feeling that Rico hadn't understood that he was saying he wouldn't intrude on him.
However, he came to a halt when a bigger, meaner looking verysion of Rico suddenly blocked his path. Rico's quills went strait out from surprise, the bandage around his tail suddenly became a mess of spikes as the quills pushed through, while his back showed similar results. The response was automatic, but Rico was too in shock to react in anyother way, neither running or making any sudden movement. Of course he was terrified, especially when it refered to him as meat. Rico's earlier statment took on a whole new meaning.
The exchange between the two dragons had a tone that gave him impression the larger dragon was considering eating him. Or wanted Rico to. And probably the hunters. Not good. He had no idea how to handle this situation. He caught that weird word again 'Ostroja, and it seemed they used it as a term for themselves. Maybe it was a name for a certian mutation? He didn't know. He wasn't really thinking too hard about that right now.
The two dragons spoke in some weird language, which didn't help settle him since he didn't know if he was being considered as a snack, but Rico seemed to be under some sort of duress.
Then he lifted his foot, and Leon saw one of his quills sticking into him, and his eyes went wide with panic. He forgot the bigger dragon completely"Crap!... okay, don't panic..." he said, partially to himself, partially to Rico as he tried remembering what Doc Prof had said. He'd given a sample to him to analyse and given Leon a brief rundown of options. "Cauterising before the venom spreads," he said first, but judging by the blood coming out of Rico's nose, it was already too late for that. "Antivenom!" he said, "We need to get antivenom from the infirmary!" he said. Doc had said that his venom could be treated with a number of antivenoms used in the cases of spider and snake bites.
"Just Leave us and go back to the mansion..."
"NO!" said Leon, much more assertivly then he would have thought possible when cronfronted with two dragons much bigger them himself, "I'm not leaving you to die out here!" His fear of having his venom kill someone was apparently much bigger then his fear of being bitten in half by a dragon. "We need to get YOU back to the mansion before my venom kills you." Even if Leon had known about Rico's ability to heal, he would have insisted simple because he was not willing to take such a risk, and Rico was already bleeding out his nose.
The pain in his veins was a hard thing to describe. It kind of felt like glass shards or hot burning embers. But in the end it did not change the fact that his blood was burning. Not the good kind of pain mixed with pleasure he had grown accustomed to when transforming. Rico shook his head and blinked rapidly as his vision slowly got a bit cloudy white.
"We need to get YOU back to the mansion before my venom kills you."
"Nobody was suppose to die....." Rico said lowly and then something else with slurred words. "I can survive if I feed on the hunters. My body is already adapting. I just need more energy." At those words the larger older male started to move towards the passed out hunters but a hiss from Rico stopped the creature in its tracks.
"There just humans." It said and snorted. "Your heart is to soft. We are what we are." At this point Rico forced himself to stagger back in the direction of the mansion and left the older member of his kind. "Not today. Leave them be, for me. I don't need any unwanted attention and neither do you." Unwanted attention was not something he had planned. But it was unavoidable at this point. But being poisoned was a lot more easy to deal with then missing hunters who turned up eaten.
"Fine then!" The old creature barked in anger and slinked into the darkness of the woods shadows. "You just go ahead and suffer on there behalf." The journey back to the mansion was not as a simple thing as it was for him to get out there. The large creatures movements were labored like his breathing. He stumbled a lot over the terrain and leaned up against trees to rest from time to time. The trunks creaking in protest at having to support his weight.
"I should have eaten the damn humans......." Rico grumbled. But it was to late to have second thoughts now. Forcing himself back upright off the tree trunk. With his thoughts running wild Rico did a lot of muttering along the way. Most of it not making much sense. He did not remember much else after exiting the wood line into the grassy field of the mansion grounds. Just his vision going bright white and the feeling of falling.
OCC: Well I think this is a nice place for me to stop. Feel free to post. I will make another topic at some time about events afterwards.

Once it was clear Rico was heading back to the mansion, he ran ahead, determined to get the anti-venom as soon as possible. As it was he had no idea about what was going on with Rico and this other dragon person, but it seemed they didn't want to talk about it in the mansion. Of course they probably didn't realize he was the least likely person to talk by way of his isolated nature. And after this it was even less likely that Leon would go walking with anyone else in the middle of the night. The simple fact was that he was too dangerous to be around, and that even something as big and scary as a dragon could be killed by his venom. It only further cemented the fact in his mind that he was the worst kind of monster, even among others.
