The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

During her periodic free-time, the young gargoyle often turned to the internet to amuse herself. Everyone seemed to think that, since she was so outgoing, that she was always too busy to hangout-- au contraire. Everyone thought she was too busy, which often left Gina with ample time to catch-up on shows, peruse ViewTube, and make herself some lackluster, boxed mac'n'cheese. (Though she spruced it up with shredded cheese, which made all of the difference.) It was during one of these ViewTube meanderings whereupon she found a very familiar face in the sidebar on the right.
A redhead who, despite the years that had transpired, was easily recognizable as an old friend!
"Holy sh**," Gina whispered, smirking. She clicked the title of the video, which was aptly titled "Back in the Big City" and watched as her old friend greeted the viewers.
"Awrite, aw mah lads an' lassies! As alays, Ah'm Pixelbecky, an' welcome tae Pixel Hearts!"
"Freaky," Gina said, her smirk widening to a grin. There was no doubt, it was Rebecca. They had lost touch after Becca left for school overseas, but Gina harbored no bad feelings over it. She was the kind of gargoyle who could pick right back up where she left off, no problem. The gargoyle watched with intrigue as her old friend detailed her return to New York City, talking vaguely of "ups-and-down". Gina scrolled down on the page and peered at the date. Fairly recent. Recent enough to warrant a message.
Gina opened up a private-message and began to type a brief hello.
Recipient: Pixel Hearts Sender: GargoyleGrrl Subject: Do you know a gargoyle named Gina? CUZ THAT'S ME.
Dear Pixelbecky,
This may sound weird but I'm 95% sure I know you. This is Gina! We went to Xavier's together? (Gosh, I hope you aren't so famous that you don't answer your messages anymore. That would be awkward!) If you happen to be the Becca I think you are and you happen to have the time, hit me up! I'm still in NYC too!
My number is XXX-###-@@@@.
Hopefully hear from you later!
-Gina
The gargoyle read over the message after typing it out, rolling her lips together contemplatively. Maybe... she should be more formal? Naw, this was Becca! One of her besties! No need for formalities! The gargoyle sent the message off, and resumed her meandering around ViewTube.

As much as Rebecca loved her channel on ViewTube, she loved the community she got to build more. Some people saw her as a place for advice, or they would chat with each other in the comments, and then there was fanart. There was a sense of pride that came with people finding her special enough to spend their artistic talents on.
It could be time consuming, but Rebecca did what she could to look through messages sent to her account, and if she had the time, reply to some of them. Maybe a message that caught her eye, or a cry for help, or one of her regulars who made a habit of reaching out. She wanted the people who let her into their lives to feel like she had room for them.
It was lucky Rebecca was not the type of vlogger who stood above her onlookers, too good to spare them a moment; if she was, she would have missed it.

It took a moment for Rebecca to process the message, but when she did, the squeal of joy caused Domino to skitter across the hardwood in surprise.
Gina, one of her oldest and best American friends, was reaching back out after so long. Like with Agnes, the two of them drifted away when life got busy. There was no wedge driven between them; it was just… life happening. She thought she had heard Gina had left New York as well, but if the message was correct, (and what a coincidence if the message came from a different Gina,) they were both in the state again.
Grabbing her phone, Rebecca punched in the number provided and started on a text reply.
GINAAAA. It’s definitely me, Becca! We need to get back together like yesterday. Life has been so hectic for so long, I miss you. Can we meet up soon? Pretty please?
After a friendly and emoji-laden series of text messages, the women set up a meeting the next day in the afternoon. Rebecca approached the door to a large home, taking a step back to take it all in. Gina explained the concept, but it was still interesting for Rebecca. A large home split up between a big group of tenants occupying shared spaces, with each tenant having their own room. It was a perfect setup for a social butterfly like Gina.
Rebecca pressed the button to page up to Gina’s floor, triggering the buzzer for her to know she had company. When she heard footsteps coming down and approaching the door, Rebecca smirked and called through the door, ”Awrite, lass! As alays, Ah’m Pixelbecky, an’ Ah’m ready tae see ain ay mah best friends again, sae lit me in!”
She certainly hoped it was Gina approaching the door now.

Gina was recumbent on the living room couch, tapping away at her phone. It was a rare thing, to have the house to yourself, but all of her roommates were either downstairs in the main living area or out running errands. Gina would be downstairs with the rest of them, but she was busy (anxiously) awaiting her friend's arrival. A text message pinged in her notifications. Becca was close. The gargoyle eagerly kicked off of the couch and thundered down the hall towards the entryway. She stopped long enough to grab her keys off of the hook and half-scrambled, half-sailed down the stairs.
Soon enough she was on the first floor landing. Gina paused a moment to catch her breath, with wild hair and an excited grin upon her face. She brushed past the bench and the coatracks, through the first doorway, down the steps-- oh gosh, there was Becca! Silly thing, she was yelling something through the window, but Gina couldn't hear a darn thing she was saying. The gargoyle threw open the second door and all but threw herself at Becca, wrapping her in a tight hug.
"Becca!" Gina squealed, holding her friend tight, "Oh my god, it's been forever! It's so good to see you."
The gargoyle stepped back, surveying her friend with a slightly-tearful, delighted expression.
"You look so good," the gargoyle commented, "Gosh, you haven't aged a day."
Gina's cheeks were a tad slimmer, her face a little more mature, and her hair was as wild as ever.
"Come in, come in," Gina prompted, "Want to see my room? How have you been? I'm upstairs..."

The door opened and, as Becca hoped, she was greeted by her oldest and greyest American friend, Gina Schuyler. As she could have expected, she was welcomed immediately with a big, tight hug. Happy to reciprocate, her arms wrapped around Gina’s waist and squeezed her with all the love she had for the girl, even after several years. ”It’s bin tay lang, Gina. it’s guid tae see ye, tay.”
Rebecca looked Gina over as the other woman did the same, and the glossy look in Gina’s watery eyes drew tears to the corners of Becca’s eyes as well.
Gina flattered her and her youthful appearance. Rebecca always hoped she would take after her mother when it came to aging, who could still pass as the younger Scot’s older sister to this day. The last time she saw Gina, the girl was still in her teens, and she had not age as much as she matured. ”An’ look at ye! Yoo’ve gain frae bein' a bonnie lass tae a beautiful woman in mah absence! Mah, hoo time flies,” she mused with a sad smile, wishing she had been there to watch Gina grow through her first years of college.
Rebecca was invited up to Gina’s room, and she nodded enthusiastically. ”Aye, please dae. Leid th’ way.”
As they walked up the stairs, Rebecca thought on how to answer the question of how she had been. ”Guid. Adjustin’ tae bein’ back. Lots changed. But Ah’m teachin’ noo, an’ yoo’ve seen mah other job,” she said, referencing her role as Pixelbecky. ”Ain, weel, I kinda sorta hae a new girlfriend.” As someone who considered Agnes a sister, and always seemed to support their relationship, Rebecca was curious how Gina would feel about the two women moving on from one another.

>> ”Aye, please dae. Leid th’ way.”
Despite her short legs, the excitement of having a friend over to visit carried Gina back up the stairs at a quick pace (she was practically skipping up the steps, but kept her wings closed, since it was such a tight space). The chatter from fellow residents could be heard echoing from a distant space, in the cellar where the main communal space was. They ascended
>> ”Guid. Adjustin’ tae bein’ back. Lots changed. But Ah’m teachin’ noo, an’ yoo’ve seen mah other job. Ain, weel, I kinda sorta hae a new girlfriend.”
"What do you teach?" Gina gasped, "What age? Gosh, that must be cool!"
Up and up and up they went until they reached Gina's floor, the third (and uppermost) floor of the building. Gina slid her card key and the mechanisms of the lock whirred in response, letting the gargoyle and her friend enter into the apartment. The floorplan of the apartment (as one could infer from the building face) was quite narrow. The main entry opened onto a kitchen and living room, cozy and sunlit.
"I live here with three roommates," Gina explained, "It's kinda like a dorm, but kinda not! Not everyone here are students. Mostly they're muties or at least mutant-friendly. They do all sorts of things. I'm the only one home right now."
Chatter, chatter, chatter. She was really excited to have Becca here, and this manifested itself in a motor-mouth explanation of the room.
"This is the main living space for this floor! We have a kitchenette and a living room, t.v., umm... yeah! All the bedrooms and bath are this way!"
Gina scampered past Becca, seemingly not winded by the ascent up the stairs. Gina ran, again, to the far end of the hall, through the open door. It had a card-operated locking mechanism once again but Gina scarcely closed the door when she was home.
"This is my room!" Gina chirped, launching herself onto the bed. The room was rather bohemian in its decorations, complete with strands of unlit Christmas lights, a wall tapestry hanging on the cieling above her bed, which was queen-sized and covered in a brighly-colored afghan. There were too many pictures on her wall-- some of which were posters, and others of which were personal photos... friends, family, places she'd been. If Becca looked closely enough, she might see a few of her, Gina and Anges. A laptop charged on the nighstand beside her bed. On a small desk, her sewing machine. A double-doored closet was closed to the wonders of clothes and a substantial collection of fabric. It was a very "Gina" room.
"I like it. It feels very Mendocino to me," Gina explained, crossing her feet beneath her. Mendocino being her hometown. Even though she'd taken the initiative to stay in the city, it still helped to quell her homesickness by having a... for lack of a better word... hippyish reminder of home.
"So... a new girlfriend?" the gargoyle pried, grinning toothily. She hadn't heard of the break-up. Agnes and Becca kinda fell off the face of the earth before the gargoyle had graduated. No hard feelings, of course, but in Gina's mind she'd hoped that her two best friends made it work, after Becca moved. Love conquered all things, even distance, right? Apparently not.
"What's her naaaame?" the gargoyle pried, every bit as impish as her old self, "What is she like?" the gargoyle couldn't suppress a gasp as she demanded, "Do you have cute couple pictures?" There was a sort of calculating, predatory flick to her tail, but it was all in good humor.

Gina was surprisingly fast for a girl of her stature, flying up the steps (figuratively, since there was little space for her wings to help her out along the way.) Becca was thankfully filled with the same excited energy, so she was able to keep pace with her friend. Being with Gina again made her feel like the high school senior she was when they met years earlier. Agnes was always going to be one of the first people Becca met when she got to America, and she was of course the one she grew closest to, but Gina was genuinely the first person she met at the Mansion, and truly, her first friend in America.
During their ascent, Gina could not hold back questions about Becca’s teaching, thrilled to learn more. The redheaded teacher was happy to oblige. ”Weel, Ah’m an English teacher, an' Ah teach a range ay grades frae first tae twelfth. Sae actually,” she drew out her answer on where she was teaching before finally admitting, ”Ah’m workin' at th' Mansion! Daein' th' whole 'returnin' alumnus' hin', ye know?” If she was going to be using her degree to teach, it only felt right to return to the Mansion and give back after it gave her so much in her short time there.
Making it up to Gina’s floor, a keycard granted them entry into a warm, cozy living space where Gina could explain the living situation. Though Becca cringed a little at the word “mutie,” (which she was less comfortable reclaiming than some of her kin,) it was nice to know Gina was living somewhere accepting. Her friend could not pretend to be human or hide who she was, and while she was sure the gargoyle girl could defend herself, that did not mean she wanted her to have to in her own home.
The way Gina excitedly explained the space to her as she led her through the building made Becca laugh. ”Gina, Ah know we're baith excited, but Ah promise Ah’m in nae rush,” she teased. She meant nothing by it; on the contrary, it was heart-warming to see Gina and have her high-energy voice back in her life.
Gina led Becca into her room, and the older girl was immediately impressed by it. The room was lived in and had the hallmark of an artsy spirit, from the hanging decorations to the sewing machine to the wall filled with memories collected in photographs. Gina thought the room felt very Medocino to her, which Becca remembered as her hometown. Becca had another thought. ”It feels very ‘Gina’ tae me,” she replied with a toothy grin.
Now that they were settled, Gina seemed ready to pry about Becca’s new girlfriend, and she was, in turn, happy to oblige. Pulling up the gallery on her phone and tossed the device to Gina on the bed. She would provide her with some Nessa insights while the curious college girl could scroll through photos, which recently consisted of selfies, pictures of Nessa, pictures with Nessa, and pictures of her cat, Domino. (And, seemingly forgotten by Becca, were two photos from weeks earlier, one sent by her and one sent to her, of a more… intimate nature.) ”Her name’s Nessa. She is pure sweit when ye gie pest hoo snarky an' sarcastic she is. She works oan a gamin' channel. She's great tae me an’ cute as a button.”
While Gina looked through Becca’s photos, the guest decided to take her turn, looking over the photos collected on the wall. It was not hard to see herself and her ex-girlfriend sprinkled through the collection. Her hand rested lightly on a snapshot of the three girls in Central Park indulging in the gorgeous weather and ice cream cones from a nearby vendor. ”It’s amazing hoo time flies,” she mused quietly, thinking of how different all three women’s lives were now.
Turning back to her friend, not wanting to have all the focus on herself, she asked, ”Sae is th' machine a hobby, ur did ye end up gonnae skale fur fashion design loch ye a’ays said?”

"The Mansion?" Gina gasped at Becca's proclamation at having come full circle and become a teacher for their alma mater, "No kidding! I just started a volunteering gig there."
The gargoyle stumbled through some mental gymnastics as she tried to figure if her redheaded friend was really, truly old enough to be a teacher. Some quick arithmatic led to the realization that, yes-- though Becca was still rather young, she wasn't too young to teach. Weird. That was one downfall of being the baby of the group. Some of your friends had real jobs and real lives and real everything and you were stuck in that weird stage of, "Well, legally you're an adult but you're also still partially dependent on your Mom".
Gina rushed through the tour of the rest of the house because, quite honestly, her bedroom was her pride and joy.
>> "It feels very 'Gina' tae me."
"Isn't it?" the gargoyle proclaimed proudly, "I'm glad you think so!"
The redhead tapped her phone a few times in response before tossing it onto the bed, before giving Gina the wordless cue to pick the phone up. Taloned hands carefully lifted the smartphone, and Gina clicked the first available picture. She had dark hair, dark eyes, and a smirk with just the faintest hint of drollness.
>> ”Her name’s Nessa. She is pure sweit when ye gie pest hoo snarky an' sarcastic she is. She works oan a gamin' channel. She's great tae me an’ cute as a button.”
Scroll, scroll, scroll.
"You guys are dang cute," Gina commented, "Gosh, I'm jealous."
Her tone was not one of someone who was genuinely jealous. Her attitude was more appreciative. Becca had found herself a beautiful girlfriend. Besides which, these days the grey-skinned girl was mostly a free agent, and she quiet honestly preferred it that way. She backed out, scrolled some more. She, of course, spotted the forgotten nudes. Her lip twitched in an imperceptible frown, in a brief expression of, "Oh, oops!" and she hurried past them politely. It wasn't any of her business and, frankly, what was the harm of a nude or two in a healthy relationship?
Various people of romantic interest were often asking Gina for nudes, but being uncommitted to anyone, never obliged. She would often handwave such requests with a coy, "Now you'll just have to come see me again, instead," or some flirtatious thing like that, which often enough sufficed.
Becca had taken to surveying the wall of portraits and Gina backed out of the gallery, politely setting it upon the mattress face down, following her friend's gaze. It was an impressive wall of photos, for sure-- perhaps a bit old-fashioned, but it helped Gina feel connected to all of her friends, old and new. Tucked in there were pictures from every stage of her life-- Mendocino days and Xavier's and even Uni. For good days and for bad, she could look to her photos and reminisce.
>> ”It’s amazing hoo time flies,”
Gina "mhmm'ed" quietly.
She, too, turned back to Becca when Becca looked back to her, smiling faintly.
>> ”Sae is th' machine a hobby, ur did ye end up gonnae skale fur fashion design loch ye a’ays said?”
"Still in school!" Gina chirped reassuringly, "I do some stuff on the side, too, but I don't have a degree or anything yet. Here-" now it was Gina's turn to tap at her phone, and fish out her blog page, "-You know how I fix my own clothes, right? I would really like to, like, make a business out of making specialty items for physically mutated people. 'cuz like, it's hard to find clothes that fit around wings and tails and stuff unless you know how to make alterations and stuff."
Gina slid the phone towards Becca, her own webpage open for surveillance. It switched between pictures of the gargoyle modeling her wares, to a mannequin-- the occasional sketches of different ways to modify clothes and even a patron or two.
"Of course I'm still pretty small-time," the gargoyle murmured, "I get some nice commission every now and again but nothing that'd be enough to live on. But! Still going to school, I'm sure it'll look up soon."
"Also double-majoring in social work, to appease Mom," Gina said with a wrinkle of her nose, "She doesn't think fashion is a realistic field to try and get into."

Finding out one of her own best friends was going to be volunteering at the Mansion was exciting news, because it meant Gina would be a bigger part of her life again. She smiled from ear to ear, realizing just how happy she was to have her friend back. ”’At place is really hard tae walk awa' frae,” she joked, before more sincerely adding, ”Ah cannae wait tae see ye aroond mair.”
While Rebecca looked over Gina’s life documented in photos along her wall, Gina was looking through the digital gallery of Rebecca’s blossoming relationship. Given Gina’s sisterly relationship with Agnes, it was appreciated to hear her genuine support for her friend’s attempt to move on from her former love. Rebecca was trying to establish a new normal for herself, and that meant believing her and Nessa could work. Gina’s disapproval would have been a hard mental barrier to work through. ”Pft, jealoos. Ah’m sure yoo’ve got plenty ay lads an’ lasses admirin’ ye.” Gina had really grown into her gorgeous figure since she was younger, and anyone who was shying away from the grey skin and wings was a short-sighted idiot.
Gina was still in school, still pursuing her dreams of fashion. She even tossed Rebecca her phone, loaded up to her fashion blog, as she explained her business idea. Just like the bohemian room, the business idea was so Gina. She wanted to run a clothing business that specialized in accommodating the needs of physical mutants. It facilitated a need, but more importantly, it helped a group who was often left to struggle on their own.
The idea was socially-conscious, and from what Rebecca was seeing of sketches and live examples, the clothes ranged from cute to practical, suiting different needs and tastes. Gina was trying to downplay her idea, seemingly still hearing the voice of her mother looking for her to be realistic, but Rebecca barely heard it. She was seeing all the ways this was an idea the world needed. ”Gina, thes is brilliant. Ye can really dae great things wi’ thes!”
An idea sparked alive in the redhead’s mind, and she hit the “share” button on Gina’s browser, sending the URL of her blog to Rebecca’s FaceSpace messenger. ”’Scuse me,” she apologized, grabbing her phone back and opening up to her most recent message. Before Gina could question what she was up to, Rebecca had already opened up her Chirpr to send out the link along with a message.
Getting back in touch with an old friend, noawadays she makes amazing, mutant-minded clothes! Check out her blog, 5000% worth a look! <3 PB
Smirking, she tossed her phone back over to Gina with the Chirp still on the screen. ”Ah hope ye dornt min’. Ah loch givin’ free press tae wondeful businesses.” Having a global presence online meant occasionally, Rebecca could use her popularity for good.

>> ”’At place is really hard tae walk awa' frae, Ah cannae wait tae see ye aroond mair.”
Gina chuckled, "It's kinda weird that we hadn't seen each other around already."
I mean, here they were, working at the same school-- and it took a happenstance video on ViewTube for them to reconnect. What sort of simultaneously fantastic and yet horrible luck did that entail?
The gargoyle reclined and then stretched, "I mean, sure~" she wasn't one to brag, but that was fairly apt. She'd had a string of flings since her late high school years, and since graduating, "But nothing serious... just dates and stuff."
Saying that she was jealous was merely Gina's way of voicing her appreciation. Nessa was cute! Becca should be proud.
>> ”Gina, thes is brilliant. Ye can really dae great things wi’ thes! ’Scuse me,”
Gina reclined against a bare sot of wall, watching Becca with arced brows.
"Sure thing," she hummed, assuming Becca had to make a call or something. She watched the redhead switch from Gina's phone to her own, and hurriedly type a message. With a grin, Becca tossed the phone down, and Gina leaned forward.
The gargoyle read the Chirp slowly, then re-read it a second time. When she'd happened upon Becca's ViewTube account, she hadn't been aware of her global presence. Sure, the video had a lot of views, but she hadn't quite connected the dots. She still wasn't totally aware of Becca's reputation.

Rebecca was unsurprised to learn her old friend was doing just fine with herself in the dating world. Gina was, of course, not the type of girl who would prioritize relationships over her goals or personal feelings. She was clever and sweet, with a great future ahead of her, but that did not stop Rebecca from hoping she could find herself someone to share the journey with.
It would also give her the warm fuzzies to know she might get to play a role in Gina’s journey as well. It was nothing uncommon for her to use her internet influence to shine a spotlight on amazing people doing amazing things, but there was obviously something more personal about doing it for one of her favorite people.
Gina’s reaction was genuinely appreciative, and impressively restrained. The fashionista was clearly too humble to get overly-excited, which Rebecca found impressive, because she was dead certain her fanbase would go crazy for some of Gina’s designs. ”Dornt mention it. What's th' point ay havin' three-hundred thoosain followers if Ah dornt gie tae shaw aff mah awesome friends daein' awesome things.”
Already Rebecca’s screen was lighting up with a notification from Chirpr. The app stacked notifications, so thankfully she would not be dealing with hundreds of individual pop ups to sift through. Shortly after Rebecca’s screen lit up, Gina’s followed with a notification from her blogging app. ”Looks loch they're awreddy lookin'. Nifty.” Rebecca was pleased with herself, but the thought did occur to her that it might be a tad intimidating if even a chunk of her community latched onto Gina all at once.

"Three hundred thousand?!" Gina sputtered, her eyes growing saucerlike. She gaped at her redheaded friend, rocking forward on the bed. Her phone reverberated with a notification. And, moments later, it reverberated again. The blogging app. A message. A follow. Two follows. Zzz-zzz-zzz.
>> ”Looks loch they're awreddy lookin'. Nifty.”
"Becca, I didn't know you were, like, famous..." Gina whispered, an apologetic note in her tone, "Holy sh**."
Her phone continued it's buzzing, and Gina watched it, too mystified to even touch it. She'd talked about "her big break" as though it were some lofty fantasy that would never come to volition. And maybe this wasn't a "big break" per se, but... the steadily mounting following wouldn't hurt, that was for sure.

Evidently some of Gina’s impressive modesty came from her underestimate just how popular Pixelbecky was on ViewTube. Rebecca was not one to make a big deal of her success, but hearing it out of her friend’s mouth, still overcoming disbelief, made her feel more accomplished.
Her cheeks were definitely burning at the “internet-famous” comment, and Rebecca’s first instinct was to downplay. ”Nae… Ah mean, it’s nae loch Ah’m one ay those top creators ur companies…” She paused, before adding in a quiet but proud voice, ”Thocht Nessa says Ah’m oan pace tae burst half a million subscribers afair th' end ay th' year...” The idea that she was reaching almost five-hundred thousand people was still hard for Rebecca to wrap her head around.
The conversation had settled too much on the redhead, so she turned things back around, excitedly hopping on the bed with Gina, sitting on her knees. ”Ye know whit we coods dae? Ye coods totally come ‘en mah shaw!” The idea seemed so clear now, Rebecca was amazed it took her even that long to come up with it.
Of course, Gina wanted to make a living off of making clothes-- maybe, one day, she'd even command a team of designers and seamstresses to help even more people-- but she didn't exactly have the mind of an enterprise.

A more ambitious individual would have jumped at this opportunity-- with almost a half-million people following her dear friend, Gina could hastily build her following, no problem. She was not so opportunistic, however. The gargoyle's gaze pulled to her phone, which was still buzzing intermittently as new notifications arose.

Gina turned to her friend once again, shrugging her shoulders shyly.
"What would I even say, though?" the gargoyle countered. She wasn't saying "no", she was merely unsure as to what purpose going on the show might prove.

Gina was surprisingly hesitant when presented with the opportunity to reach out to a larger audience. The gargoyle was naturally modest, and maybe Rebecca had become too eager over the years. The idea felt like a no-brainer to her, but there were of course logistical matters the excitable redhead was not yet considering. This was without mentioning the kind of step and risk Gina might be taking by putting herself out there.
Rebecca wrapped an arm around Gina’s shrugging shoulders, above where her wings emerged. ”Ye coods tell yer story. Why ye got intae fashion, an’ yer special understanding that nae all clothes were designed fer all people. Ye can show off some designs an’ mebbe e’en shaw aff a piece ur tois.”
With an exasperated sigh, Rebecca reclined on the bed, resting her head innocently on her friends lap and looking up at her. ”Nae pressure, an' nae rush, Ah promise. Ah jist hink whit ye want tae dae is great, an' it coods help people. An’ Ah want tae help ye dae ‘at,” she admitted with a smile.
Gina was the kind of friend that made her want to be a better person, especially when she had the avenue to do so.
